Chapter Seven

All hell was breaking out on Arus, as security personnel were scrambling to locate Daniel who had apparently fled the castle grounds before the lockdown. Lance was furious to say the least. He would have taken out Red, but he couldn't because one, they had no idea where Daniel had gone and two, all the lions were covered in varying amounts of blood and three they were two pilots short at the moment. That really peeved him so much. So instead, he was in castle control checking security cameras and other sensors to figure out where Daniel had gone and in what direction. The answer came when a security team discovered the royal flyer was gone. Shit! So Vince backtracked the sensors and satellite feeds to figure out where Daniel had gone. Since that ship was space worthy he was most likely off world by now. And sure enough he had left Arusian space. "Vince any idea where he'd gone?"

"No by the looks of it, he exited the system here," indicating a space near Pollux. "But because of heavy solar activity from one of the suns it's obscuring our sensors."

An idea struck and he decided to make a call to Pollux. Pollux was still rebuilding after the damage that King Zarkon had done to the planet during the Zarkonian wars but one thing Pollux had was a good defense system. Bandor had made that a priority years ago and they too also had a satellite system in place and were hoping they had caught something.

"Lance, how can I help you?" The young monarch asked over the feed.

Lance quickly gave him a rundown on the situation here on Arus. Lance saw Bandor's eyes go wide when he was informed of the attack on Keith and Larmina and that the attacker was infected by Haggarium. "Can you check your satellites to see where he went after exiting the system near you?"

"I'll get right on it and get back to you. Please tell Allura I'll be praying for them."

"Thank you Bandor."

A short time later Bandor got back to them. "He exited the system here and his heading shows him heading to uncharted space," he said putting up an image of the direction he was headed based on the Polluxian satellite network. To that everyone on the feed realized where he was going. He was heading toward an area near Drule space an area that everyone knew was still uncharted.

Oh shit, thought Lance

Not good, Hunk was telling himself.

Daniel, what the hell! Vince was saying. One thing he did notice, was that he couldn't hear Daniel in their connection anymore.

That's not good, Bandor was telling himself, He was heading toward a region of space near the kingdons that was still at war with the GA and the other kingdoms and Galaxies near that part of space and to add to that, parts of that whole areas of that space were still uncharted and unexplored. And they all knew it. "Thanks for your help Bandor." Lance said.

"Anytime. Any news?"

Lance shook his head. "No they're both still in surgery." He said wishing they knew more. "I'll keep you informed."

After the call, Hunk and Vince looked at Lance. Lance had now become the de facto leader at this point with Keith out of commission and in surgery. Lance was clearly not happy at all to be put in this position and if he EVER found Daniel, he would kick his hide off the team permanently. But right now wasn't the time to dwell on it. There was still a lot to do and he needed to talk to the Queen and Pidge. Some decisions were going to need to be made and fast. As of right now, all communications from Arus would be halted except to Pollux and Bandor had already agreed to keep the events of what has occurred here quiet. Until everyone still standing could meet and make some decisions.
