Future Zamasu stared Goku down, the 2 sharing a tense moment. Though shocked at this turn of events, Rikku got to her feet and muttered under her breath,

"Zamasu…"

Zamasu turned to Rikku and smirked, saying to her,

"I've come here specifically to see you!"

"I didn't like you to begin with, but scheming with him is a new low!"

"Scheming, such a negative word. We are more like comrades on a righteous crusade."

Before Zamasu could continue, Goku yelled,

"I thought we agreed that she was mine!"

"Relax, I'll let you have the last word."

Vegeta remarked as he looked at this conversation,

"So that's the kai, that's Zamasu."

"Now we have 2 guys to stop."

"Not if I have anything to sa-!"

Before Vegeta could finish his sentence, he grabbed his wound and collapsed to the ground in pain. Trunks cried out for his father and asked him to save his strength, but Vegeta didn't respond. The hybrid saiyan thought to himself,

'I can still feel his energy. He's just unconscious.'

Pan then popped into the conversation, asking,

"Why is there a kai here? Why is he working with Goku?"

"I don't know. But we still have a major question: Who the hell is Goku?"

As the two of them contemplated this question, Zamasu began ranting about his ideals.

"My wait is almost over! Soon the world I've been dreaming of for so long will be made manifest! A truly just and utopian existence!"

"What the heck is that supposed to mean?"

"Mortals are unnecessary, and more than that unwelcome in my paradise!"

"Sorry, but there isn't any way I'm letting you get what you want!"

Rikku charged at Zamasu and attempted to deliver a punch to him, but it was blocked by his Ki blade. Rikku noticed that something was different about Zamasu's ki, and the kai smirked before Rikku began an all out barrage of punches and kicks. Zamasu then said to her in the midst of the clash,

"Thank you for demonstrating why saiyans, who possess not a shred of decency among them, and would dare to swing their fists at gods, are of all mortals especially ill suited to live in my world."

"You think it's your world now?!"

As this was happening, Trunks looked up and clenched his fists, angrily saying Zamasu's name. Zamasu and Rikku continued clashing until Rikku was knocked to the ground. She managed to flip onto her feet just in time to react to Zamasu firing a purple barrage of ki blasts from one hand at her.

Rikku backflipped out of the way of the blasts, but once she stopped, Goku charged from the smoke created by the blast, readying a punch. Rikku backflipped out of the way of this attack as well, and when she landed she saw the shockwave of the punch destroy a building behind her.

"Taking a swing at me from my blind spot, huh?"

Goku gritted his teeth, and took a fighting stance. Zamasu told him,

"I thought we agreed that Rikku would be mine to hunt down."

Goku snapped at his ally, yelling,

"No! I already told you, she's mine!"

"Hmph, fine then. What do you say we destroy them together?"

Rikku remarked,

"You guys are a bunch of jerks, aren't you?"

Zamasu and Goku then charged at Rikku, with the saiyan woman barely dodging a ki blade slice from Zamasu. Goku then attempted to strike her, but the blow was blocked by Trunks. Goku was shocked as Trunks yelled,

"This is the last time we fight! Today will be the end for the both of you!"

He then flared his aura and attempted to strike Goku, but the saiyan was unflinced by the attack and dodged all the proceeding swings. However, this brief distraction gave Rikku the chance to kick Zamasu into a building. She and Trunks then flew back to back, Rikku telling him,

"Thanks for that! Your training with Vegeta really paid off, didn't it?"

"Yeah, I got your back. This is my fight too!"

"You realize this isn't gonna be easy."

"I wasn't expecting easy."

"Alright, let's teach these guys a lesson they'll never forget!"

"Yeah!"

As Pan watched the battle in concern, Zamasu walked out of the rubble of the building Trunks had punched him into, completely unscathed. However, Goku held out a hand, silently telling his ally to hold back. Zamasu decided to humor his ally's request, and walked backwards. Goku then powered up and gestured to Rikku and Trunks to come at him.

The 2 charged at him, but the Super saiyan 4 easily dodged all of their attacks, making it look effortless. He then kicked Rikku in the stomach, causing her to hack up blood. Trunks was then kicked aside, and Goku began to absolutely wail on Rikku, barraging her with blow after blow. Trunks attempted to rush in and help her, but was then kicked aside by Zamasu.

Trunks landed a fair distance away, and when Zamasu landed across from him, the future warrior yelled,

"Fine then, I'll take care of you first!"

Trunks then launched at Zamasu and stabbed him in the gut. The future warrior smirked, but was then shocked when Zamasu grabbed the sword and pulled it out, saying omnously,

"That won't work."

His wound then closed, and a shocked Trunks said to himself,

"This can't be happening! His wound just healed itself!"

Just then, a stray blast from Rikku and Goku's fight knocked Trunks's sword out of his hands, allowing Zamasu to take this chance to strike downward. Trunks grabbed Zamasu's ki blades in his hands, and they began talking Zamasu said,

"You foolish, barbaric creatures! The gods gave you minds capable of true wisdom, and you use them for your own self interests and war!"

"You dare talk about right and wrong after everything you've done to my planet?!"

He then twisted Zamasu's hand, kicked him in the face, and then flipped around and unleashed a barrage of punches on his stomach. Zamasu attempted to strike back, but Trunks dodged to attack and delivered a strong gut punch before kicking Zamasu a good distance back. The future warrior then ran up to his sword, sheathed it, and spread his arms out.

The half saiyan from the future yelled,

"Final…"

He then brought his hands together in front of him, and a ki ball emitting golden electricity appeared between his palms. It was an attack his father had taught him during their training in the hyperbolic time chamber. The final…

"FLAAAASSSSHHH!!!!"

A huge golden beam shot from Trunks's palms, engulfing Zamasu in a massive explosion. He panted in exhaustion, and tried to focus back on the fight between Goku and Rikku. Thanks to his newly gained ability to sense god ki, he could feel Rikku's power shoot up 10 fold for brief moments while fighting. He didn't know why, but he could sense that Goku was still stronger.

The half saiyan was about to go help her, but he suddenly realized that he could still feel Zamasu's ki. He turned around and saw the kai walk out of the smoke completely unscathed.

"What the…?"

Zamasu smirked a devilish smirk and told Trunks,

"I've taken godhood to a new level. Divinity made perfect. With an immortal body befitting a kai."

"I-immortal? that's impossible…"

"My good saiyans, I thank you. Your strength will not save you, but it does serve a purpose. It reveals my full glory, an immortal body that not even a saiyan's power can marr."

"An immortal body, huh?"

Zamasu chuckled as Trunks thought to himself,

'I launched my highest level attack as a super saiyan 2 at him, but it did nothing! And when I ran him through with my sword, the wound healed instantly. Is that the reason why? Is he really immortal?'

After a brief silence Zamasu continued, asking Trunks,

"Are you now keenly aware of your powerlessness in this battle, saiyan? The attacks that your kind have relied on to spread misery across the stars can do nothing against a god like me. And yet you still have the will to fight me, don't you? Challenge me all you like, until you realize your own impudence."

Trunks, running out of options in his head, thought to himself,

'What do I do now? I've come so far, and yet…is there nothing more that I can do?"

Suddenly, an exhausted Rikku landed beside Trunks, the top half of her gi torn leaving only her undershirt.

"So?"

"I don't know. Your attacks have no effect on him."

"Yeah…I know."

Zamasu then told them,

"I want both of you to listen to me very carefully here. For your persistent insolence and repeated affronts toward a deity…you will now reap the SWIFT AND SEVERE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR ACTIONS!"

RIkku and Trunks then heard a familiar chant behind them.

"Kaaaaaaaa, meeeeeeee…."

The 2 turned around and saw Goku charging a kamehameha, but unlike his 10 fold one, this was the regular blue color.

"Haaaaaaaaa, meeeeeeee….."

Rikku yelled for Trunks to run, but Zamasu suddenly headlocked the both of them from behind, stopping them from moving.

"Zamasu?!"

"Don't tell me you're taking yourself down with us!"

"HAAAAAAAA!!!!!"

Goku fired the kamehameha, causing a massive explosion that covered his 3 targets with smoke.
