Chapter 4
Aria's POV
I feel the water the moment I hit it and I'm surprised to find that it is not cold, the minute my head goes under I start to feel the sting of the water on my various cuts and bruises I gasp and breath in water as my eyes start to sting, I use all my strength to push myself up to kick my wobbly legs. And when I do reach the surface I spit out all the water in my lungs and stare up at the beautiful full moon right above me.
Haley comes up gasping for air beside me and we both watch in wonder as bubbles float up around us after I don't know how long the moon disappears from my line of sight and the bubbles vanished as well.
After a few moments of silence Haley brings me back to the present "Aria I know how we can get out of here" I look at her and nod still not taking "hold your breath and follow me" she says before we both swim under the water.
It hurts to be under the water for so long but I continue to follow Haley as my insides swirl around. When we finally reach the Ocean I breathe in a chocked gasp of air, I then let Haley drag me through the water and to the shore.
We aren't that far from where we tied are boat but the moment I try to stand up on the sandy shore I feel light headed and all my dinner comes up before I can push it back down. I cough and Haley comes over to me and says "stay here and I'll bring the boat over. I hear her foot steps disappear and let my mask fall.
