Chapter 5
Aria's POV
We get back to the house well past midnight and I wait as Haley quietly unlocks the door. We sneak up the stairs as quietly as we can and the moment we get into the loft I pass out on my bed.
When I wake up Haley is gone I do a quick check of how I feel, I feel not to bad, a little bit of a stomach ache, but mostly I feel hungry and my right side hurts like hell.
I struggle to get up but eventually manage wincing at the pain in my side I walk into the bathroom that's attached to the loft I close the door behind me and lock it behind me.
When I turn to the mirror my eyes go wide, I look different, my skin looks healthier i swear I see a slight glow but I look muscular, and not in a bad way, like someone who goes to a gym often.
My eyes briefly travel up to my face and I freeze my left eye colour is completely different, instead of my dark blue eye there is a beautiful purple, the same colour that I wanted to paint my room, my left eye is unmistakably not the same colour it was the last I checked and that scares me.
Suddenly I hear foot steps outside the door to the loft and the door opens quietly, so quietly I shouldn't be able to hear it. I frown as I hear Haley's Mom "Aria are you feeling better" she knocks on the bathroom door "please don't come in" I say and shake my head when my voice comes out sounding scratchy.
I hear Ms. Clearwater's sigh as she tells me she will check on me after they get back from dinner. I don't realize I'm holding my breath until Ms. Clearwater's footsteps disappear and my lungs ace for air.
Once I am positive that the house is empty I unlock the bathroom door and walk into the room. I immediately go to my dresser and get my sunglasses then I go to the closet and find something to wear. I stop when I realize that I am still wearing my bloody sundress, I immediately tug it of only to find a long scar running from just below my shoulder blades to just above my waist there is a big still healing gash in between my rib I quickly stop looking at it and examine the rest of me.
Other than a few long stretches on my right arm that look like they will leave scars it is just my newfound muscles and purple eye that is different. I quickly get dressed making sure to wear clothing that will cover my long scar. When I am done I am wearing an airy purple sundress with medium length sleeves, that cover the worst of my injuries.
When I here somebody shift downstairs I realize that not everyone went out for dinner I quickly readjust my sun glasses and make sure my hair is covering my left eye, then I go over to the bed and try to look sick.
Haley's POV
I slowly open the door hoping that I can finally talk to Aria about our new umm water problem. When I open the door I see Aria but something is wrong, she looks to healthy and something is off about her other than our current problems she definitely isn't the same Aria that fell into the moon pool with me 5 days ago.
I go over to her and sit talking a deep breath and start to speak "Aria something happened to us when we fell into the moon pool-" I stop speaking when I see she's making eye contact with me and I notice she's wearing sunglasses and has hair in front of her left eye which is weird because she never ever does that. I stop thinking about that when I notice that She looks angry. "Aria" I yell when her body starts to shake in an unnatural way.
She hurriedly gets off the bed and half runs towards the bathroom. She shuts the door loudly and I hear the clicking of a look and a few things hit the ground and then the shower is on "Aria wait" I say pounding on the door.
