Chapter 1 - Fresh as a daisy

This is the story of how me and my friends came into a whole different world and made new friends, went on crazy adventures, faced dangerous enemies and went through life or death situations. This is the story of how we not only became heroes but of how we become legends.

Someone's eyelids slowly start to open to see the clear blue sky wondering where he is, the boy in question was a young boy who looked to be 14 years old, he had light tanned, a few freckles, brown eyes and jet black hair. He's wearing black jeans, a blue shirt and blue sneakers. He looked around in confusion seeing an unidentified building and realizing he's on the ground flat on his back and decided to get up off the ground. But as when he moved his right foot felt an incredible shock of pain which made him scream to heavens.

The boy:"Ow,ow,ow. Is my leg broken, how did that happen?!" He said in shock while hissing from the pain.

He ultimately decided to sit down on the ground and wait until he sees someone and could ask them for help.

It been fifteen minutes and the boy was getting really hungry and thirsty and was getting heat stock because of the hot sun beaming behind him for a while and was about to pass out, but as he began to lose consciousness he saw two figures in front of him but before he could say anything he slowly fell unconscious.

The boy slowly opened his eyelids to see the ceiling, he observed his surroundings to see he was in the bed and realized he had a wet towel on his forehead, he took it off and but he didn't want to get out of the bed cause he can already tell that it's nighttime from the bedroom window he's staring at. He observed the bedroom and saw something on a small table that's aside of him and saw a plate and what looked like to be food on it, realizing he's extremely hungry he quickly grabbed the plate from the table and took the plastic wrapping off the plate. He looked at the food to see it was two rice balls and a note saying "I hope you wake up soon and mom and made something for eat, see you in the morning." From Rika. This left the boy confused into wondering whose Rika were they the ones who brought me here, while he was still wrapped in his train of thought he was interrupted by the loud rumble of his stomach. The boy placed both his hands on his stomach feeling really embarrassed by that and is really glad no was awake to hear, he quickly grabbed the two rice balls and ate them really fast, and drank some water then took a deep breath and sighed of relief that he ate, started to feel fatigue and was getting sleepy and decided to get back under blanket and get some sleep, he slowly closed his and started drift into a deep sleep.

(Flash Back)

There was a portal and the boy was getting sucked right. He heard a few other voices but couldn't make out what they were saying until everything around his field of vision went white.

(Flash Back Over)

The sound of footsteps wakes the boy from his sleep, he slowly opens his eyelids to see a young girl who looked to be 12 years old has light brown hair in pigtails, black eyes and fair skin. She's wearing a short sleeved purple shirt, orange shorts and sandals. She was about to grab the empty plate and cup until she noticed the boy looking at her and she ran off from the room. The boy thought he scared her and felt bad that he sat up on the bed and about to get up from the bed until the girl came back but with an older woman who almost looked like the girl except she had her hair tied back and was wearing a white and dress. The two walked up to the boy and sat down on two chairs and warmly smiled at the boy.

The women: "We're glad to see you awake, my name is Ririka and this is my daughter Rika. She said as her daughter waved hi towards the boy.

The boy: "Hi my name's Kenneth, can you tell where I am?"

Ririka: "Well you're in Shells Town in the east blue." She said nicely.

Kenneth: "Shells Town?" "I'm sorry ma'am I've never heard of shell town, and what's the East Blue?"

Ririka looked at him with a surprised and confused expression thinking that the boy probably hit his head or something, but she took a good look at him and the clothes he's wearing and can tell that he's not from around here and decided to brush it off and tell him what the East Blue is.

Ririka: "Well, how do I explain it? The East Blue, the sister seas, comprises almost entirely of ocean, with scattered islands and a border with the red line." She said slowly and carefully so he would get every detail.

Kenneth had a smirk on his face but deep down he was completely shocked.

Kenneth: "So you're telling me, I'm on an island in the middle of the ocean?" He said calmly.

Ririka: "Yes."

Kenneth: "And that there are no other islands nearby?"

Ririka: "Yes."

Kenneth: "And y'all lived here ya whole lives?"

Rika: "Yep, never left." She said calmly.

Kenneth quickly took the pillow from off the bed and planted his face in it and let out a muffled scream. Then he slowly removed it from his face and showed the same calm expression.

"Are you okay, Kenneth?" Rika asked worryingly as she sat next to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

Kenneth took a deep breath and showed a friendly smile towards Rika and patted her on the head.

Kenneth: "Don't worry, I'm okay now." He said calmly.

Ririka can tell the boy is upset about his predicament and knows he has nowhere else to go, so she thought of an idea and hoped he would accept it.

Ririka: "Well if you like, you could stay here with us if you like."

Kenneth looked towards the woman and was surprised expression with what he heard from her.

Kenneth: "L-Live with the two of you, are sure it's okay?" He asked concerningly.

Ririka nodded and kept her friendly smile.

Ririka: "Of course, I could use a little help in the restaurant and it seems like Rika likes being around you so I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem. Though I do see you having a hard time with getting dishes or sweeping, with your broken leg and all." She said kindly.

Rika: "Don't worry mommy, i'll help him out until he can completely do it on his own." She said happily.

Kenneth thought about it for a few moments and thought it was best if he stays with them, they do seem like nice people.

Kenneth: "Ma'am, I'll do whatever I can to help even though my leg is broken." He said calmly and enthusiastically. Ririka: "Okay, you'll start tomorrow." She said gladly

Ririka got up from her chair, and pat her daughter on the head and left the room to get back to work leaving Kenneth with her daughter, who was looking around in his backpack and found some interesting stuff she would sometimes ask him about some of the stuff in his bag and she

found his sketch pad looked through the pages and a lot of amazing and interesting drawings

, she would sometimes take a page out of it and put it in her pocket to bring in her room when he isn't looking. But then she found a black rectangular object, she inspected it and when she looked at the back of it and saw a dog riding on a boat in a lake, on a starry night. She liked the picture, but then she turned it around to the front of it and saw a button. She ultimately thought it was best to give it to Kenneth and see if he could tell her what it is.

Rika: "Kenneth, what's this?" asked curiously.

Kenneth turned his head towards her to see she had his phone in her hand, he took it from her hand and smiled at her.

Kenneth: "Oh, this is just my phone. You know what a phone is right?" He asked, a little confused. To his surprise she shook her head and looked at him dumbfoundedly, then she told that from what she knows is that one has what he has, then went on and told him about transporter snails

and told him how they're about to communicate to each other and perfectly mimic a human speech even, imitating people's voices. And told him that some have unique abilities that I haven't heard about yet.

Kenneth was both shocked and surprised at what he heard. First he hears all the islands are separate parts of the ocean and now he found out snails that can mimic another person talking as well as their voice, what's next fruit that will give you unique abilities or maybe huge sea monsters. He thought.

Rika: "I'm gonna go help out Mom, bye." She said with her usual smile as she placed his backpack on the floor as she was about to leave the room.

Kenneth: "Hey Rika."

Before she could take a single step, she turned around curious to what the boy would have to say.

Rika: "You want something?" She asked nicely.

Kenneth shook his head frantically. Kenneth: "Oh, no nothing like that I just want you to keep my phone a secret." He asked nervously.

Rika wasn't sure why he wanted her to do that but thought he probably wanted to keep quiet about that for now. So she nodded and head off to help her mother out.

Kenneth looked towards his phone and turned it on and tapped on the gallery app and scrolled through the photos and found a particular picture of himself and his two younger siblings with five other people. He looked at the picture with a mixture confusion and recognizable.

Kenneth: "Who are these people."
