Chapter 1: Early Life/ Fall and Rise of a Village

-Two weeks later-
It has been two weeks since the Uzumaki clan had left Konoha and headed back towards the ruins of Uzushiogakure. Upon leaving the village, the elders of the clan had made the risky decision to send a few members away to secretly roam around the five elemental nations looking for those of Uzumaki blood. A week later, the group had made it to their homeland but upon getting there they found out that their former village had been rebuilt and now called the Land of Waves. A few of the younger members wanted to just retake the land however the elders of the group overruled them telling them to just follow them into the village. Upon the people of the waves seeing them they offered them a place to stay and the clan accepted due to the elders needing a place to rest and the fact that they were looking for something. The elders and other members of the clan knew that there were Uzumaki treasures and relics that only someone of the Uzumaki blood could use however it would take time to find.
After two months of searching, they had finally found what appeared to be a house in the forest once going through the proper hand signs the genjutsu was broken turning into a cave. Upon finding the cave entrance a message was sent to the Uzumaki members in the area to come to this location. Once getting there everyone was led through the cave and after two hours they were now standing in front of a big door only a few had accesses to and fewer could open. Upon getting the door open it was revealed to be an underground hideout filled with most of everything they needed. While the rest of the clan explored the place the elders stayed focused on their mission to find a certain room. After a while the elders had found what they were looking for, which was a room that held a forbidden curse technique. One of the elders who had the Shinigami mask put it on and tried to summon the King of Death however he didn't show up. "Mu-san are you sure you did it right" asked an elder. "Oh yes he did do it right however it has seemed that the Shinigami has abandoned you but you are in luck I am here" stated Yami smiling. Every elder first instinct was to flee the area however something held them in place and only one had the balls to speak "Get out of here Yami we didn't not call upon you" said Liu Uzumaki.
"You know it's crazy Minato Namikaze said the same thing however and correct me if I am wrong but you all of the Uzumaki clan which means that you guys are more spiritual than other clans but here you are doing a forbidden jutsu to summon me" stated Yami whose head was now cocked to the self. Everyone was confused on what she meant so Yami explained "
I suppose you didn't have your clan needs a favor and Kami nor the King of Death will answer your call so I am your only option left" replied Yami. Liu thought about it and knew that making a deal with Yami cost a heavy price. "We need to know the details of the forbidden jutsu that was given to our clan decades ago" said Liu.
"Oh, you mean the jutsu idea that was stolen from me.. yes I can explain that let's just say it cost a lot" stated Yami without saying everything. "I like the other elders here know this what is the price is and what does it do?" questioned the man. "The jutsu will bless one or more members of your clan in many ways wither it's making them a full blooded Uzumaki, giving them the blood a Royal Uzumaki, giving them a random kekkei genkai, or just blessing them with more luck and charm but to use them it requires a sacrifice or multiple depending on how many people you want to bless" explained the deity. This unnerved a few members of the clan however all the elders already knew what they were there for "Thank you for informing us we will summon you when we are ready" said Liu. This made Yami scratch her head "You do know that you've activated the jutsu right? Just by me being here but don't worry I will just take everyone else's souls and a few from the town to bless your clan" said Yami. Confused Liu went to spoke however the next thing he knew was everyone around him dropped dead "Whoa I didn't realize that you guys were the Uzumaki clan your lifespans are longer than everyone else for that I will definitely make sure to bless your younger member good luck Liu Uzumaki be seeing you soon" said Yami before disappearing.
A shocked Liu Uzumaki stood in disbelief of what had just happened. All around him were the bodies of his fri.. no no family they were family the oldest and wisest of the group and now he they laid dead because of his mistake. His mind raced to think of a plan to come up with however nothing he came up with made sense to him nor would it to the other members so he did what seemed right. First he wrote down where they could find all the Uzumaki knowledge within the cave. Second he wrote down the information of Menma Uzumaki being the son of Kushina and great grandson of Mito Uzumaki making him the last of the Royal Uzumaki bloodline. The third thing he wrote down was that the clan needed to be careful not to summon Yami nor use any sealing jutsus that are forbidden. Lastly he took a rope and hung himself from the ceiling, not being able to handle what had just happened.
-Over with the rest of the clan-
Every person with Uzumaki blood felt a rush of energy and glowed for a moment before it fated away. This confused everyone because they felt different like something great had just happened to them and not knowing what it was but feeling good decided that it wasn't anything bad. The members in the underground cave decided to keep partying throughout the night to celebrate finally finding a new home however others were looking for elders. The next day more people had started looking for the elders noticing that they hadn't seen any of them at the party nor had they seen them recently so they started looking for them. Day by day they started to get more and more worried that they were killed by someone or something due to the smell of blood and a foul odor that was in the cave. After a week of looking, they found where the odor was coming from and upon opening the door found their leader Liu handing from the ceiling while the bodies of the other elders were laying on the ground dead. This horrified the members and they quickly started to look around the area to see if they could find something that would lead them to the murder. However, what they found were the announcements that Liu left reading over his writing they had concluded that Liu had sacrificed the other elders then killed himself. The clan had wept for their elders for a whole week and decided to name this whole week "Elders Week" in remembrance of the elders. During this week the adults realized that currently there were only forty of them and fourteen kids meaning that in total they only have fifty-four members left. This made them realize that they needed to buckle down and work harder on finding them a new village that they would call home for decades to come. Seeing as Orochimara was one the strongest and smartest people within the group but wasn't an Uzumaki member she was made an advisor to the new council. With the power given to her Orochimara planned to use her power to implement a few of her ideas that Konoha had rejected and hopefully try to rebuild the relationship between the Uzumakis and Konoha.
-Timeskip-
After a few more months of living in the underground hideout the clan packed up everything and headed toward the former Takigakure which had been taken over by an army of outlaws and bandits. However now the village and land belong to them since they sent Orochimara and a group of clan members to the village to take it over.
-Flashback-
A few months ago, a group of Uzumaki members had come across the entrance of Takigakure which was odd since its usually hard to find the village. The group immediately walked into the village not seeing any guards at the front of the gate. While walking around the village they had noticed that the village was either under attack or had been previously attacked by another group. Not seeing anyone around they headed to where the supposed Hero Water was located since it was rumored to help jinchurikis reach their full potential and boost the power of anyone who drunk it. The Uzumaki group creeped through the village slowly, not trying to attract attention to themselves until they got to where the water was being held. Upon getting to where the Hero water was at they saw the bandits who was attacking the village and killed them helping the Takigakure ninjas. They then took out a scroll that held a large empty water tank and filled it up with Hero Water and once done they left out a different way to head back to where their clan was located at.
While leaving the village they had noticed a tan skinned child being treated badly by the villagers and ninjas of the village. Due to their upbringing and their hatred of bullies the five members had decided to kill all those who was treating the child bad and took the child who was knocked unconscious with them. Taking the child wasn't an easy task since they now needed to avoid the areas where other battles were taking place at. After ducking, dodging, and avoiding people and battles they had decided to place explosive tags on multiple buildings so that when they blow up it would cause multiple distractions and hopefully make an opening for them to get out of the village. Upon activating the tags, it indeed caused distractions and made it a bit easier to make it outside of the village. Once getting a distance away they stopped and checked the child over and quickly realized that by the seal on her stomach that they had just stolen a Jinchuriki with made sense on why she was being treated badly by her village. Once regrouping with the members of their clan they explained everything which made most of the members wonder if they were cursed with bad luck or something. The clan had laid low for a week then sent a few Uzumaki members into town to see if they had some news on what happened. Upon returning to the cave the members informed them that Takigakure was currently being taken over by b-rank rouge ninjas and bandits. Needing a village to call their own they had come up with a great plan to take it over and claim it for themselves.
Flashback End
-Five years later-
It has been five years since the Uzumaki clan took over Takigakure renaming it Uzushiogakure. While rebuilding the idea of training the next generation, especially Menma and Fu who are the current nine and seven tails containers. The only problem was Orochimara had forbidden anyone to teach or train any kids because she wanted them to have some kind of normal childhood before being exposed to the real world. No one understood why she was so against them training any kid under seven nor why she didn't want other kids interacting with Menma. The dirty secret that the Sannin was hiding was the fact that she had injected baby Menma with the DNA cells of Hashirama Senju because of his wood release and the DNA of the Third Kazekage because of his use iron release that made him almost unkillable. Speaking of Senju members during their travels Orochimara kept her promise to her best friend and picked up her kids from the Land of Waves. When they met Menma Shizune fell in love with the young boy while Tenzo saw him as a threat if not trained properly. Orochimara knew if Tsunade's kids found out what she did this they would tell their mother Tsunade and she would stomp a mud hole in her and walk it dry however now it has been five years and because of his unnatural seal by Yami no one would put two and two together without solid proof.
Now that Menma was five Orochimara started following the advice of the former elders and started training the boy in the basics. When Menma was told this he was excited to finally be allowed to train so that he could become like the heroes that his grandmother tells him about at night. When Orochimara had made it known that Menma would start his training this year Tenzo was the main person who offered his services to train the boy. However, due to Menma having the blood of the Royal Bloodline he would first be trained by the Uzumaki clan who would be training him to be a on the level of a Uzushiogakure Genin. Orochimara nor the Senju teens liked the fact that they wouldn't be training the boy however they understood it was clan practice that a Royal Uzumaki be trained in their jutsus, katas, and Kenjutsu before learning anything else. The council decided to start teaching Menma history of the Uzumaki clan, Uzumaki culture, and breathing techniques for future jutsus and training. While training it was discovered that Menma was a powerful sensor since every time someone came a hundred feet near him he immediately could sense them and their emotions.
Years: 6 – 9
On Menma's sixth birthday Menma officially met his 3rd cousin Tsunade Senju mother of Tenzo and Shizune who they missed badly. Upon meeting the boy Tsunade knew something was different about the boy however she couldn't put her finger on it so she asked her kids who didn't have an answer for her. When Tsunade asked the snake Sannin she pointed out the fact that she hadn't seen the boy since he was a baby and that she was overrating. Tsunade eyed her best friend for a moment before her attention snapped back to her children who she hadn't seen in years. For the rest of the day Tsunade, Menma, Shizune, and Tenzo spent time together something that the Uzumaki clan didn't like since the boy should've been spending time with his clan. After the party was over Tsunade, Tenzo, and Shizune left the village and went back to Konoha since she was the Hokage and they were in the middle of a of a war.
Since it was still Menma's birthday Orochimara had taken the boy outside the village to show him some neat tricks. Once outside the village Orochimara went over what charka was and how to pull on it. She then told him to close his eyes and to try to find the warm feeling in his stomach. Wanting to please Lady Orochimara Menma did as told and searched for his charka that was in his body feeling for the warm feeling that was supposed to be there. Upon finding it Menma pulled on it however this didn't go as planned since everyone in a ten-mile radius felt how potent his charka was frightening many animals and people. Immediately the members of the clan came running towards the charka thinking someone was attacking or that the tailed beast was getting out. However once getting there and seeing Menma was the source most smiled however others were now scared of the boy while others moved forward to stop the boy from what he was doing. When Menma opened his eyes it seemed like everything around was moving a bit slower than usual. Menma looked around for a moment and took two steps then had to be caught by Orochimara who was still in shock by what she saw. Before Menma passed out everyone saw that he had activated two dojutsus and while they recognized their clan's dojutsu it was the other dojutsu that confused them since he nor his mother had the DNA for that dojutsu. This brought up the question of who the father of the boy was something that Orochimara was determined to find out. For the rest of the day the village was placed on lockdown just in case someone or any group tried to find out what that was. The very next day Tsunade had sent a message to Orochimara saying that once she was back in Konoha she would be sending her a test kit to see who the father of her cousin was.
-Timeskip-
Two years had passed since Menma had pulled on his charka and through his training the Uzumaki clan had been learning his abilities slowly. However, there was one constant problem which caused his fellow members to become scared of him. After talking to the council about the problem Orochimara came up with a solution with they didn't like however it made sense so they told her she was allowed to proceed with her plan. Upon her request being granted Orochimara had told Menma that for his eighth birthday she would be taking him to Sunagakure which the boy had been excited for since he had never been outside of the village. When his birthday week came around the two had headed off towards the Land of Wind which Menma was happy about until they entered the Land and all he saw was sand and the weather was humid. Menma immediately wanted to head back to Uzushiogakure however Orochimara told him that he had a special gift here that he couldn't get nowhere else. This brighten the boy's mood thinking about what could possibly be here for him. Making it to the sand village gates Orochimara and Menma was let inside and was taken to the Kazekage's office where Orochimara and Rasa had business to discuss. In his office Orochimara had asked Rasa to train Menma on how to use and master his magnet release which shocked Rasa and his advisors learning that someone else had the same kekkei genkai as he and his children.
At first the Kazekage refused to teach the boy but once Orochimara had informed the man that she knew that his youngest child's mother was a Uzumaki member and if this information was to get back to Uzushiogakure they would demand Orochimara to bring the child back with her. Rasa wasn't one to be easily scared however he knew that a fight between him and Orochimara wouldn't end up good since the woman was one of the Sannins. Thinking about it for a long moment Rasa agreed to teach the boy and exchange the two villages would form an alliance with each other in case Kumogakure or Iwagakure tried to attack them seeing as both had taken over small villages recently. Meanwhile with Menma he wasn't enjoying the heat or the amount of sand that had been in his shoes. This week had been his birthday week and here he was bored out of his mind, hot, and missing the little number of friends he had.
With nothing to do the crimson head boy had decided to walk around the village and hopefully find something to do or make a new friend. While walking around the village the boy had spotted a person whose hair was also red making him excited at the possibility of meeting a new Uzumaki member. When Menma finally caught up with the fellow red head he was slammed into a wall by sand something that made his blood rush with excitement however before he could do anything Rasa and Orochimara had showed up stopping the two. After everything calmed down Menma was introduced to the Kazekage's third born named Gaia who was also a Jinchuriki. Menma was told that as a birthday gift she had gotten the boy special training from the Kazekage Rasa however they would have to stay here for some time. Thinking it over Menma first thought was tell her no and demand to be taken home however his second thought was that he needed to get a handle over his ability so that he would no longer accidentally injury his friends.
-Timeskip-
After nine months of training Menma had gotten a handle on his magnet release and had made a new friend and a rival in Gaia. Rasa thought the boy had some real talent since Menma not only used iron sand but could also use his gold sand however he wasn't as good as Rasa was with it. Upon leaving Sunagakure they head to the Land of Iron so that Menma could pick out his first sword and find samurais that could train the boy. When they got there Menma was allowed to find a sword that fit him but due to the conflicts between ninjas and samurais they told him that no one would train the boy. Orochimara had accepted this and just brought a shipment of swords to be brought to Uzushiogakure and left. Before leaving the Land of Iron Menma and Orochimara had ran into the Yokai clan who was most known for being dishonorable samurais due to them using ninja tactics. Orochimara offered them land within Uzushiogakure if they trained Menma and the young Uzumaki kids to which they accepted. (Author's Note: Yokai means Ghost in Japanese) Returning to the village the Yokai clan was accepted however just like every other clan they were placed on probation. With this clan joining the village security around the village and the island got stronger since everyone was either a ninja or training to be one. Upon getting back to the village Menma was told that his training would take a break due to the clan opening a Ninja Academy soon.
-Timeskip-
On Menma's ninth birthday while he was sleeping his dream was interrupted by something pulling him deeper into his subconscious. When he looked around he saw he was in a huge forest which had strange-looking trees. Menma didn't panic as much as a nine-year-old would because something about this felt familiar so he started walking. While walking he heard something calling his name so he followed the voice until he reached a gate that had had a fox symbol on it however the kitsune was nowhere to be seen. Getting closer to it he was stopped by someone grabbing his hand and teleporting him somewhere different "Ahh so you are the new container for Kurama-san" said older looking lady with red hair. Umm who the are you?" questioned a confused Menma taking a fighting stance. The woman laughed at the boy "You're hundred years too young to beat me" laughed the older woman "But to answer your question I am Mito Uzumaki first container of the nine tails and wife of the Hashirama Senju" answered the now known Mito.
Immediately Menma bowed to the elder Uzumaki "I apologize Mito-sama I am honored to meet you but I must ask how did you get in my dreams?" questioned the prince. "Young Prince you are no longer dreaming this is you mindscape I pulled you in here to give you some knowledge that no one else could give you" answered Mito. Menma relaxed a bit and took a seat "Please do tell educate me" said Menma smiling. "I sense that your DNA has been messed with and you have an unnatural seal please be careful especially of the deity who give you the seal" stated the Uzumaki elder. This caught Menma off guard since he was told that his mother died sealing the tailed beast within him. "Also, the dojutsu you have is called the Mind's Eye it's a Uzumaki dojutsu that allows us to see peoples charka from a distance on top of other abilities that you will gain later" stated Mito to the boy. May I ask which kekkei genkais I have?" asked the boy. "That much I don't know what I do know is that you should have your natural bloodlines which are Boil and Lava release just like any Royal Uzumaki member" said Mito. This confused Menma as he knew he had Magnet release as well and reading his face Mito explained. "Yes you do have others but I do not know where they came from" explained Mito.
"I can explain where they came from plus the other dojutsu you have" said a deep voice. This caused Menma to be on high alert trying to figure out where the voice was coming from "Behind you fool" said the voice. Turning around Menma saw a 9'9 muscular fox wearing a floral and fox print kimono which scared him making him piss on himself. Menma had heard about the nine tails and how threating and powerful he was however what he saw was a giant fox which had six tails. Menma thought this was odd but didn't pay any mind to it as he was trying not to shit his pants. As the two just looked at each other Menma took a few deep breaths as he wasn't trying to show that he was scared right now and knew that to earn it's respect he had to hold his ground. "Did you fucking shit and piss your pants kit?" questioned Kurama. Menma clapped his hands which changed his clothes and tried to change the subject "You're Lord Kurama right? It's nice to meet you" said Menma who held out his fist. Kurama just looked at the fist then back towards the boy "One we aren't on first name bases and two who told you my name?" questioned the nine tails.
Noticing that Kurama wasn't going to pound his fist he dropped it "I apologize lord kitsune but answer your question I am a member of the Uzumaki clan a clan that you yourself has blessed before in the past" answered the red head. "Well, that brings up another question why do you not bow to me?" asked the fox blow hot air at the boy. Immediately Menma dropped to a knee which made Kurama laugh until the large kitsune was blown away "Stupid fox" said a voice coming from behind Menma. Upon Menma looking up Yami was standing in front of him and once she didn't see the fox anymore she turned towards him. "Next time show that damn fox whose boss DO NOT bow to him you are a deity act like one" said Yami before disappearing. Menma stood there dumbfounded trying to figure out who in the hell was that and why did their energy feel so wicked and cold. Trying to take his mind off what had just happened Menma decided that the landscape around him current didn't fit him so he changed the landscape into an open field and created his dream castle.
Upon finishing his new castle Menma decided to walk into the castle but as he got to the door Mito popped up out of nowhere scaring the boy. "Mito-sama please don't do that" said Menma who was holding his chest. "I am sorry I came back to give you this" said Mito handing Menma a scroll "It's the demon fox contract as the container you must sign this before you sign any other summoning contracts that will possibly come your way though I must tell you that if you and Kurama aren't on the same side you wouldn't reach you full potential" warned Mito hugging the boy and left. Menma opened the contract seeing Mito and Kushina names signed however both were crossed out. Menma signed his name under his mother's and the area around him lit up making him cover his eyes.
When Menma opened his eyes he quickly realized that he wasn't in his room and started panicking thinking that he was drugged into a nightmare. Quickly his reflexes took over creating a small iron knife. Seeing the boy panicking someone entered the room "Menma-sama please calm down you are in no trouble I am Jade Uzumaki and I need you to calm down and drop the knife please" said the woman who was dressed in a nurse outfit. After a moment Menma had started calming down and sensing this Jade explained what was going on "Again my name is Jade Uzumaki you and the other children were brought here for training now that you are awake someone will be here to grab you and explained further" said the woman before leaving the room. As the door closed Menma placed his hands on the ground trying to feel the charka of others Uzumaki members however a seal appeared blocking his charka from leaving the room. Menma started to leave the room but before he could someone entered the room.
"Well, it seems that…" the man was about to say something before smelling a foul odor "Prince Menma please go take a shower I will have someone clean up the bed and burn those clothes" said the large man walking out the room. Menma didn't understand at first until he smelled a foul smell and looked back down to see that he in fact pissed and shit his pants on the outside of his mind messing up his clothes and the bed. Feeling embarrassed Menma just stripped down to his underwear and walked into the bathroom to take a nice hot shower. After shower Menma walked back the door and the man led him to the training area while a clean-up crew cleaned up his room. Menma could sense that the man wasn't bad however he could feel the man was dangerous "Who the hell was that and why did she call me a deity" thought Menma while walking to the area.
