this is a story of a girl, who is related to neo queen serenity and Hotaru tomoe. Her name is Samiko Serenity Tsukino-tomoe. she is the last of the bloodline of both kingdoms. her story starts in the moon kingdom where she grew up abused and tortured from the moon kingdom. she died on the eve of her 14th birthday during a war and her aunt was possessed by an evil entity.

Chapter 2: An Angel has come to town

The events of the family sleepover was a success, everyone seemed to be happy of the new Tsukino living among them, however Samiko still wasn't sure about things moving forward. There are days when she wants to be left alone and isolated and other days she wants to try to be the good relative who's rich and fabulous cousin took her in to raise her because her parents decided that she was a burden on them so they left her in Neo Queen Serenity's care for the time being. Everything was going normal for the most part, Samiko woke up to eat breakfast and to study at the breakfast table quietly. She was reading a book of social sciences. It had two books worth a read, she gave herself two weeks to finish the book so she can move to metal sciences. She had always had an interest in becoming a scientist or a detective whichever came first, she already decided her future and it was going to take hard work and dedication to pull off her near future. After last night's events she was wondering if she should apologize to akiko for kind of lashing out on her because they were cuddled like a couple.

Samiko didn't see why akiko needed to be attached to her so much, they have been best friends for so long and it never crossed her mind to see what akiko was feeling because they are in the best friend zone, that is something you can never get out even if you tried. In this case, Samiko was very clueless to human emotions and didn't know how to show or receive them at all.

Usagi and Mamoru came down for breakfast seeing Samiko studying and eating at the same time. They were interested in what she was reading because she always had her nose in a book to avoid conversation about her future or talking about school. Samiko got up to do her dishes and left the book on the kitchen table. She grabbed her white sneakers and put them on her feet.

Usagi followed her to the door carefully and texted the outer senshi to start their mission and that Samiko was about to leave the castle. They texted saying they are already ahead of her, they were finishing up preparations for the outer senshi Family Reunion they were having in the next couple of weeks

They were masters of keeping it low profile since the final battle with Nehelenia, they waited at the corner of juuban and 10th for their little guest.

Samiko made it to where the juuban car shop was at, she went inside to speak to the owner with a smile

"How is my future car looking? I hope building her isn't too much trouble."

The owner smiled with great pride and looked at Samiko

"Welcome Samiko-chan, your car will be ready by your sixteenth birthday. I hope by then you have studied for your permit and license to take her for a spin. You had a dream for your car and now you will make it a reality once you turn sixteen."

Samiko nodded with a sly grin on her face

"I have been studying for two years already, I have my test in the bag. You don't need to worry about that. I have been wanting a car like this for a while, watching all those fast car movies, this is the car for me. I can't believe I will be driving the skyline GTR with all the new modifications and comfortable seats. I will call on you to start building my motorcycle. I want to have the fastest car and motorcycle in all of juuban. I want to be free and ride along the coast during my vacations and such."

Michiru and Haruka were on her tail watching everything from her mirror

She looked at Haruka with a smile

"She has a high taste for speed and where did she get the money to spend to get a car like that built?"

Haruka blinked

"Mamoru did say she has two part time jobs, she probably saved and didn't spend anything in order to have it built. She is smart for saving her money when she really wants something. She seems like a good kid and won't do anything wrong. We still have to keep planning our family reunion, why does it have to be so soon?

I was enjoying the peace and quiet. There are too many of us. Hotaru gets nervous around new people after her rebirth. I don't want our daughter to be nervous around family members.

We are finally at peace and I like it. When Neo Queen Serenity made earth peaceful and full of hope I was excited that we could retire from being senshi and raise Hotaru with the time we have on our hands.

We don't have to worry about war or becoming possessed by an evil villain bent on destroying the earth. We can finally be the parents we want to be now for Hotaru. I am happy we are living in peaceful times."

Michiru kissed Haruka's cheek with assurance

"Ruka, you are right. We don't have to fight anymore. We have a chance to be a normal family and raise Hotaru the right way. I am sure Setsuna feels the same way about what you said. We are living in peaceful times. I wouldn't trade it for nothing in the world. I like the peaceful times. I hope it lasts a while."

Samiko gave the hood of her car a kiss and smiled

"I love you so much, can't wait to drive you around the coast. You behave like my special one."

The owner smiled seeing samiko building a bond with her car

"What other plans do you have for your car Samiko-chan? Are you planning to use this for dates on make out peaks at the edge of juuban mountain? I hear it's the best during the winter months because you can see the entire view of the city from there."

Samiko shook her head slowly

"I don't have any other plans besides driving it up and down the coast of Juuban.

I Plan to move into my own place once I reach my senior year of high school.

I want to be independent and on my own, i won't want to be compared to any family members who i am living with currently. I want to be identified as my own person and not as an eighth coming of family members who the media expect me to fill the shoes. I am not going out like that. I want to be in control of my own destiny and own future.

I don't want my future to be controlled or laid out for me because adults want me to be who they want me to be. I am my own person and it will be like that for a very long time. I already know what I want to do after I graduate high school and college.

Can you add a car to the motorcycle as well? I will drop by in the next two weeks with the blueprints of how I want it built and what I want inside of it."

The owner smiled and shook her hand

"I have whatever you need Samiko-chan, just leave everything to us. When do you want your vehicles done?"

Samiko smiled

"I want them done in two years, I will pick them up once high school graduation is said and done. I will see you on my sixteenth birthday. I can't wait to spin my new car around."

She ran off to get to school, she took back alley ways to shorten the time to actually get to class. When she made it, her best friends were waiting for her at the front of the school wondering what took her so long.

Akiko looked at Samiko as if a terrible crime was committed

"Samiko, you almost made us late for first period. What took you so long? Who was taking your sweet time in getting here? You have been irresponsible lately."

Samiko looked at akiko with a smirk on her face

"Are you jealous or something akiko? If I remember correctly what I do before school is none of your concern. I made it in time, your bra doesn't need to be too tight in wondering what I was doing. We should get to class before we are actually late."

They started walking to their first period class which was science. The teacher came in and started handing out a pop quiz for the first period class, everyone sat down and began to take their test

Samiko was forming scientific calculations in her head and she smiled, putting the work down on a blank sheet of paper for her answers. The test was forty-five minutes long.

She took her time answering the questions for the test and she looked over her answers while she took her test. The test was over and was collected to be graded, the students were reading from their textbooks. The bell rang and some students had two free periods after their first class, the girls had it lucky because they studied hard and they went to the school roof to relax for the next two periods.

Akiko wasn't going to let the subject drop of Samiko almost making them late for class. She walked up to her with a cute serious face and pulled her ear

"We are alone, away from the general population of our classmates, Samiko. Why did you try to make us late knowing full well we had a pop quiz today? What or who grabbed your attention for a split moment in time and what was important? You better have a good excuse as to why you were almost late for school."

Samiko glared and growled slightly getting out of akiko's grasp from pulling her ear

"I don't have an excuse, I wasn't going to be late. I am never late for school. I went to a car garage. I am having a special birthday gift being built for me. I have been saving for this car forever, it's not going to be ready until my sixteenth birthday. I am good friends with the owner of the garage so he is taking extra time and care into my car of how i want it built and such. I asked him to start my next two projects after he finishes with my car. Are you satisfied with that answer akiko? Geez cut me some slack at least. I had a good reason for almost being late and that was the reason."

Akiko just stared at her confused and shook her head

"Samiko, you aren't even old enough to drive yet. You are barely fifteen. How did you even get the money to pay for the car and the building of it?"

Samiko looked at her friends and blinked

"I am fifteen years old Akiko, I work two part time jobs. I haven't spent a cent on things I need like clothes or anything like that. I saved and saved until I had enough for the car. The car is almost done and I have been taking driver's ed as well when everyone is studying. I work at the game arcade and I work at a movie theater , so I save all my money so I can get what I really want. I have been buying clothes here and there, some shoes and every other thing I need to survive."

Maiko pinched Samiko's cheek

"We want to see the clothes you bought Samiko, We are going to Usagi's place and raiding your closet."

Samiko's cheek was becoming red like an apple

"The clothes I bought are nothing fancy, it's what normal teenagers wear. I brought sixteen pairs of jeans in black, white, blue and the occasional light purple and silver. My shirt colors are a mix of everything. I have gray, white, and black sneakers. I have a lot of jackets and coats and long sleeve shirts. I have over eight hundred pairs of different socks and bras and undies.

I bought some business suits as well even though I do not attend family functions or do press conferences because that is not my thing. It's not a big deal or anything, I just don't want to be fussed over when I didn't get that as a child. I am the oldest of seven siblings and I got treated like I was nobody. I want to keep my existence from the world unknown. If I am unknown, the world keeps in balance and all is good. There is no good in the world knowing I exist, not at all. We are in times of peace, hope and serenity and tranquility. We shouldn't have that messed with. We have two free periods, we shouldn't worry about what I am doing before or after school, as long as I make it on time there shouldn't be a problem.

Time is a social construct that we build to plan and schedule our lives. Thus, we are bound to the constructs of the culture we are in. We must embrace the cultures thoroughly to understand who they are in their time and space."

Midori smiled at her best friend

"Samiko, nicely put. You are right though. We just have to go with the flow and let things play out as they are supposed to. We will drop the subject for now and relax. What do we have after the two free periods?"

Samiko remembered her schedule like the back of her hand

"We have history class next than English. After that is lunch. We have gym after lunch and chorus. The last class of the day is English."

Amaterasu smiled giving samiko her morning snack

"How were the states over the break? I know you probably did something fun. What was it like and what did you see?

Samiko never turned down her best friend's handmade morning snacks

"I went to concerts, made some friends. I enjoyed the scenery. It was very peaceful."

Maiko looked at Samiko wiping her mouth with a handkerchief carefully

"Samiko, why do I sense a but coming on? What else happened?"

Samiko ate her morning snack in peace after Maiko wiped her face

" I did have fun, but my parents decided to play with my life and leave me there. They told me to find my way back to japan. They left with my other siblings. It took me two days to find my way back home to even prepare myself for school this semester. I don't understand why they hate me so much when I didn't even do anything to them. I brought home great grades, I am on student council, on sports teams and I work two part time jobs. I babysat my siblings when they didn't trust a babysitter to do their job correctly. What more could they possibly want? I didn't ask to be born. I will not take responsibility for them being miserable. I have my own life to lead away from them, my life is my own. I do not owe them anything."

Akiko was visibly upset at what she heard about what Samiko's parents did to her but for her sake she held her tongue so she wouldn't upset her best friend. They all sat on the bench on the roof enjoying the sun and light breeze and eating morning snacks that Amaterasu made

Maiko smiled

"It's a good thing we don't have math this term. We won't be able to escape it once we hit high school in the spring. I hear it will be more difficult to understand with all the equations."

Samiko looked at Maiko with a weird look on her face

"Maiko, I am sure we will do fine. After all, we got top marks for all our classes because we put in the extra effort for studying. We shouldn't fear a tiny subject such as math getting in the way of our thinking. We will continue to do what we have been doing and nothing or no one is gonna get in our way. I am guessing a study session at my place of residence which is Usagi's castle to go over notes?"

Maiko had dramatic tears in her eyes

" I would like a study session very much, I want to feel confident in my work. We didn't get this far from slacking off, we are not going to be at the bottom of the food chain. We are going to exceed everyone's expectations of us. We are going to rule the world."

Samiko blinked in confusion

"We will be the best, but ruling the world that's a strong no for me. We are going to lead normal lives despite who our cousins are. I'll be damned if we are going to follow in their footsteps. We are not them, we have our own dreams and goals to reach. We don't have to be like them at all.

When we reach our senior year of high school, I plan to move out of Crystal palace and into my own place. I am only living there temporarily and I need to be on my own. I made it this far without the help of my no good parents. Why should I even live at the crystal palace in the first place? If it was up to me I would be living in my own apartment right now, but right now it's not up to me to live on my own.

I am looking for places now so that way it can be saved for later for me, so far nothing has grabbed my interest."

Akiko looked worried

"Samiko, you plan to move out of Crystal palace to be on your own? Do you know much trouble a teenager living on her own would cause? Why are you in a hurry to grow up so fast? Take it easy for the next couple of years to figure out what you want out of life. You can't make rash choices because you feel like it."

Samiko looked at Akiko with a stern look

"Akiko, listen to me for once. I don't plan to live at Crystal Palace for long. It is a temporary place of residency for me. I am a lone wolf and will continue to be as such. I don't want to burden the king and queen of all Japan by living in their eighty foot castle. I have been thinking about this for a very long time. This wasn't a rash choice I made. I took time to think about it and I made my choice. I want you to respect my choices when it comes to deciding what I want to do with my life and how I want to live it."

Maiko got up from the roof's bench and saw the school acting wild, they heard they were getting new transfer students from that smart school that was destroyed, other students went to more far away schools to get the education they deserve

Samiko followed Maiko to see what the commotion was about, her eyes widen and she saw two people from her childhood. She spat out her drink and coughed at the same time. It was Miyako Tenoh and Michiko Kaioh, the greatest track and field and swimmer in all of Japan.

She wondered why they would even come to Juuban junior high in the first place, they had money and fame, so why choose a commoner school. They have brains and beauty, they can waste their time at any school in the country. Her friends saw how tense she was and wondered what was up, they saw how tight her jaw got when she saw the two new students walking across the courtyard

Maiko held Samiko's shoulder to calm her down

"Samiko, what's wrong? Your jaw tensed up like you saw a ghost or something. Do you know those two students who are gracing our school grounds?"

Samiko looked at Maiko carefully

"Maiko, you remember the school play from sixth grade? The one we put on where Akiko and I were the main two people. Romeo and Juliet?"

Akiko blushed dark red, remembering she had to kiss Samiko in front of the whole school, but she shook her head to stop thinking about it.

Maiko nodded slowly and stared at Samiko

"I remember the play we put on in sixth grade, what does that have to do with the two new students entering our school?"

Samiko cracked her neck and her knuckles in pure frustration

"I was having trouble performing the kiss on akiko. I would have been happy to fail the school play but akiko reminded me it was fifty percent of our grade if we didn't perform the kiss. As you know, I know how to push akiko's buttons when I don't wanna do something. I called it a day and went home to the ungratefulness that is my parents. I went to the park to calm down and read one of my books to have my mind wander for a bit. Miyako was in the park by herself practicing her martial arts, she locked her eyes on me. I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings because I was deeply invested in my book. She sat by me and took away my book and kissed me square on the lips.

I blushed and pushed her away, I grabbed her arm and judo flipped her into a tree and broke her arm in the process. I picked up my book and ran directly home, locking the doors in a panic. After that I locked myself in my room focusing on the school play."

Akiko was shocked to hear that Samiko's lips were claimed more then once, she wanted to know what the big deal was that people wanted to kiss Samiko's lips, she shook her head in a feverish rage, They remained on the roof until the bell rang.

Samiko finished her morning snack and drink, she looked at Amaterasu with a smile

"Amaterasu, my morning snacks were delicious as always. Thank you so much. I can't wait for what you make me next. I feel so energized and relaxed."

Amaterasu smiled and patted Samiko's head

"I enjoy making calming snacks for you, I want you to be very calm and relaxed because of high school entrance exams, your two part time jobs and club meetings can wear you out at the end of the week.

The more you relax, the more you get done with your aura and spirits up.

We are almost high school students now, so with that being said our auras always need to be at a nice calm pace. We need to be at peace."

The bell rang and they headed down to their next class which happened to be history class. The two new students were standing in front of the blackboard, looking towards their new classmates

Samiko and her friends took their seats waiting for the teacher to introduce the new students next to her.

The teacher looked at her class and tapped her desk to gain their attention

"I am sure you all had a peaceful break and hope to jump right into the swing of things. First I want to introduce our new students to the class, Miyako Tenoh and Michiko Kaioh. Please get along with them and show them a wonderful time here. We are about to start our weekly quiz. You two can go find your seats anywhere in the class."

Miyako took the seat next to Samiko, Michiko took the seat behind Miyako to keep an eye on her.

The teacher handed out the exams and reminded them they have only forty-five minutes to complete the test, the last twenty minutes is to take time to go over the answers or correct their mistakes. The students took their time with their exams, the exam was pretty difficult considering there was a two page essay first.

Samiko did the essay first, the question was easy enough to answer.

It took her exactly twenty minutes to write her two page essay. She made sure to go over everything. She started her multiple choice questions, they were difficult from last time but she took her time to read the questions.

The bell rang and the students were finished with their exam, they handed it back to their teacher moving onto the next class which was English

Everyone sat in their seats, the teacher started writing the lesson for their class on the blackboard

"We have two books we will be reading in class today, it will a be two in one book. We will be reading West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet. We will read the two stories and see what's the same or what is the difference in the books. This will be a group project read. I will let you choose your partners for this project .This project will take a month to complete and there will be a ten page book report between the two stories. I want the report emailed to me within a month's time. You all can handle that. Now go into your groups and have fun with this project."

Everyone was in their assigned groups they chose for this project, the girls decided to stay with Samiko for a month at usagi's castle so they can get all their assignments done on time and than be relaxed for a while

Miyako saw Samiko for the first time in so long, she saw how tall she got and how her cute face became mature, she looked at her wife who was pouting

"Michiko, you know I only have eyes for you my dearest. Samiko is our future leader after all. I mean if she chooses to accept her destiny that is. She has made it clear she doesn't feel wanted or happy about her living situation. She is a Saturn Rabbit after all, part Tsukino and part Tomoe. She has to learn how to accept who she is and deal with it. She can't avoid it forever, she can try but it will creep up on her sooner rather then later. We need to guide her and prepare her for what's to come, she may not like it but she has to deal with it."

Michiko was looking through her mirror that she always carried around

"Miyako, i know that you have eyes for me only but i feel a dark cloud surrounding our future leader, something is holding her back from enjoying her life and smiling. She has this huge scar on her heart and it's not healing. She has a wall up and is building it little by little so it can be unbreakable. We are going to have to find out what's keeping her distant from people."

The school day finally ended and everyone was headed to usagi's house, Samiko only worked on the weekends so that way it doesn't interfere with her studies, her bosses understood that she was serious about her education because she planned to become something big

They all relaxed in Samiko's room while she got snacks and drinks, maiko raided Samiko's closet as promised

They were shocked at all the new clothes she had gotten and such, it was exactly as she described it from top to bottom, she even had a gaming computer and gaming laptop built as well if she ever took a break from studying.

She had a personal laptop for school work/after school clubs work as well so she can manage the finances of the clubs while she stayed after school. Her sneaker collection was amazing to any teenager eyes, she had all the jordans and regular Nike sneakers, she even had off brand sneakers just to mess around in so she wouldn't mess up her on brand sneakers. She had sweatpants of different colors and tank tops that were black and white and purple. She closed the closet and sat on her bed waiting for Samiko to come in so they can get to studying and relax afterwards

Samiko came into the room with a tray of sweets and warm milk tea for her study group

"I informed King Mamoru that you guys will be staying over for the month for our group project. We have a lot to cover in that time frame. I work over the weekends so you guys will have to watch the movies of both books. The books will give us more depth while the movies show us more action than anything. I will be home around five so we can watch both movies. I will be at the arcade from 9 am to 1 pm, from 1pm to 4 pm I will be at the movie theater selling tickets and cleaning up.

I see you all brought your month long clothing bags to stay over. The large bathroom is at the end of the hall to the right. The massage parlor is to your left and the gym is under the castle for complete privacy."

They started to read their copies of the book they took out from the library, Samiko had the copies of the movies in her room when she has alone time after a long week from school and work

Akiko looked over at Samiko's books on her bookshelf, she saw mangas and other books that require thinking and strategies for chess and checkers.

She had advanced books on different sciences and math. She was pretty stocked with books and other materials to keep her busy, everyone noticed that Samiko didn't use her cell phone as much as every other teenage girl was.

She wore her school glasses for school, when she got home she would switch to her home reading/studying glasses. She basically set up her own schedule for herself to make time for the things she would enjoy and for the things she needed to get done. The group read both stories, lucky for them they had the books two in one.

Samiko took out the laptop and started typing up the report with key points and what differences are between the two stories. Everyone wrote their parts of the report.

Samiko went to shower after the report was done and saved in her laptop, her friends went to the big royal bath chambers on the other side of the castle.

They wanted to give Samiko her own space because well she is Samiko and that much was understood. They never questioned why she needed to be alone so they enjoyed their bath time

Akiko was very quiet and wondered why Samiko didn't join them in the bigger bath.

Maiko splashed water at akiko's face to snap her out of it, she saw the look of concern on her face

"Akiko, what's wrong? You have been quiet since we got into the bath. You are normally the loud one trying to calm us down."

Akiko shook her head to shake off the water and sighed

"Samiko, hasn't she been acting weird lately? She has been keeping me at arms length for some odd reason and I want to know why. She is used to me hugging her and smiling. What's gotten into her? Why does she need so much space? Why is she so nervous around me?"

Maiko blinked and waded around the big bath tub

"Samiko is a girl full of mystery but she is also our best friend. We shouldn't question why she needs space. We just have to grin and bear it, We have to accept it for her sake. We are protecting her like she is protecting us.

We are here to work on our school projects and to enjoy ourselves. When the time comes Samiko will explain everything. We don't want her to explode at us when there is peace between us. We have to respect her privacy just like she respects ours."

Somewhere in the private bath for one, Samiko was relaxing wading around in the hot water, it was more like floating as if the world didn't exist at the moment. She was thinking about the cabin she was in drying off during that freak of a storm that happened a few days ago when she was on her jog, the cabin seemed familiar, everything about it seemed familiar to her.

When she sat in front of the fireplace, she felt such warmth and compassion as if someone was hugging her from behind despite the scars on her back.

She wanted to feel that again, but she shook her head to stop filling her head with such nonsense because that cabin meant nothing and she was never in it before.

She kept floating around until everyone went to bed, she finally got out of the bath and drank a glass of milk to relax.

She dried up and put on her pjs and did her hair carefully. She returned to her bedroom and saw her best friends already asleep on her bed. She went to her couch and fell asleep quickly under the blanket.

King Endymion was in his chamber finishing up his wife's work, he knew she hated paperwork so he did it for her without a problem.

He sat back in his chair wondering why the girls were so quiet and well behaved, he remembered that his wife's friends were loud just like her minus Ami. Rei was the loudest of the bunch because she was always fighting with Usagi and his wife was the second loudest trying to get Rei riled up during their fights.

This group of future senshi were very well behaved and hadn't argued which was good because they didn't need a Rei and Usagi 2.0 happening within castle grounds or anywhere outside of crystal juuban

It seemed to the king of the crystal palace that Samiko had her group of friends under control and that they would respect the castle. He enjoyed the peace and quiet, Usagi was outside attending to the garden when her communicator rang

"Hey guys, what's wrong? What evil is happening in times of peace? Yeah I can meet you all at the crown. I will dress normally, don't worry about it. We will be there shortly."

She went into the office where Mamoru was, he finished up all the paperwork when he saw his wife coming in. She explained what was going on and they both went to the game arcade where Usagi spent most of her teen years after she had a stressful day or week at school.

They went downstairs to the command center, all senshi was there minus Hotaru and Setsuna, they were back at the luxurious apartment sleeping because they needed a lot of rest overcoming the flu that was going around. They all sat down on the comfy couch and got into their roles respectively

Haruka was first to speak in her calm voice

"Samiko is a good kid, she needs proper guidance and training. Michiru and I feel like something is holding her back from reaching her full potential.

She won't ask for help if it was staring at her in the face. She is very independent for her age. She already has saved up enough for a car and other things to survive. It's very clear to us she has leadership material inside her.

Michiru has seen through her mirror that Samiko has a dark cloud over her, there is a huge scar on her heart. Samiko has built a wall so nobody can get through to mess with her emotionally.

We have to earn her trust and see where her mind is at, I doubt she will open up to any of us. She doesn't trust adults enough to help her. Do you have any idea why she doesn't ask for help?"

Usagi looked at her team and took out the note that was left behind when Samiko was dropped off at the castle

"Haruka, it has to do with this note that Samiko came with when her parents dropped her off and sped off without explanation. I read the note but I saw none of the behaviors that were shown in what they said. She has been keeping to herself and not speaking to anyone. She spends her time over studying and reading advanced books that peak her interest. She is normally inventing things in her room quietly with her headphones on."

Michiru looked at her queen with a smile

"Usagi, you know if Mugen academy hadn't been destroyed so many decades ago she would have made a brilliant scientist in the robotics department. It's nice to see girls interested in science. We do need more female scientists in the world."

Usagi was laying on Mamoru's legs staring at her team

"I have no doubt in my mind she wouldn't be a great scientist, I wish she would trust me enough to tell me what she likes or what she wants to achieve in life. She chooses to shut me out for whatever reason it is. I just want to get to know her and tell her it's alright, I want to show her affection that her parents never showed her.

She doesn't trust adults because of her parents, safe to say they made her have a complex. The complex is called "I am better off alone and I don't want any help from anyone."

Michiru looked through her mirror once again to check on the girls that were in Usagi's castle

"Usagi, everyone is still asleep minus samiko. She is reading a romance novel that has to do with detective work.

Maybe she isn't all studious as we see her if she is taking time to enjoy reading other books besides advanced studies. There is more to meet the eye when it comes to her. I see akiko is waking up and walking over to samiko."

Usagi blinked and continued to lay on mamoru's lap

"We should see what's going to happen now, from what I've seen she doesn't want to make her cry. I haven't heard the old Hino-tsukino yelling from them yet. We have a very behaved group of kids. It seems like samiko has her group under control for the most part."

They continued to watch from the mirror as things seem to unfold in front of them

Akiko sat by Samiko who was laying on the couch bed reading the book, she took the book away and placed a bookmark inside so Samiko wouldn't miss the page she was on

"Why are you keeping me at arm's length Sammie? Did I do or say anything wrong to make you feel uncomfortable? Please tell me what I did wrong so i can fix it at least.

You only say a few words to me as if you want to start an argument with me but you let the subject drop. Why is that?"

Samiko sat up staring at akiko and rubbed the back of her neck softly

"Akiko, I am not the same person you grew up with all those years ago.I have changed, times have changed. I just have a lot on my mind and I don't want to bother anyone with it.

I get these weird flashes as if I lived another life before, a much darker and terrible life before all this. I don't believe in reincarnation or being given a second chance at life. To be honest, I don't believe in much these days anyways. I don't even believe in myself.

People have this idea that I am supposed to be like dear old cousin neo queen serenity. I am nothing like her. I will never fill her shoes or be anything like her. I don't want all this pressure on me because oh you live with neo queen serenity, you have to be raised as a lady of the Royal kingdom.

Your life is all set up from the moment you were born. I can never be her. I never want to chase something that's not real. I will never experience romance, having a family with a white picket fence with 12 corgis and 15 huskies. The romance department has been closed for a very long time. It will never ever open again. I am barely surviving right now. All this pressure to be like my cousin is killing me. Nobody gets me. Nobody ever will.

This is why I am the way I am half the time. Keeping everyone at a distance so I can figure out my life on my own. I don't even know who I am yet. Whoever I am, she is a dark and lonely person with no goals in life.

I am both yin and yang. Darkness and light. One day I will wake up and not know who I am staring at in the mirror. I have accepted that I will wind up alone. I will always be alone. A lone wolf.

I am fine with that. You all will be great without me around. I can see it and I can feel it. I know it's coming. You probably don't understand because I don't let anyone in. I don't let people in because I don't trust anyone. My wall is built not to let anyone in."

Akiko was shocked to hear this coming from her best friend, hearing all the negative things she was saying about romance and trust

She looked at Samiko with a sad expression on her face as if she was about to cry

"I will go to bed now, I will see you in the morning. Have sweet dreams Samiko."

She went back to the bed and hid under the covers.

Samiko left the room and went to the gym to work out, she put on her workout clothes and started to run on the treadmill with her headphones on, She stood in the gym for hours working out her frustration until she calmed down.

She sat on the bench and was breathing hard

"Why did I upset akiko for? Damn it all to hell. I swore that I would never ever make her cry or get her upset. You are doing a bang up job Samiko. I seriously need to work on my attitude when talking to her. She has nothing to do with how I am feeling.

I can't tell her about my true feelings anyways, she wouldn't understand it. I think I will go for a walk around town. There is no school tomorrow because there is a teacher thing going on for staff only. Maybe going for a walk will clear my mind for a bit."

She showered real quick and got dressed in sweatpants and a short sleeve shirt and her regular sneakers. She started her jog around the neighborhood to relax her mind. She sat in the park on a bench relaxing after a long jog.

A loud explosion happened and she chose to ignore it because she just wanted to relax and not think about things at all. She finally got up and decided what was going on in the city.

She saw a monster that took up the entire skyline, It was draining the energy from the couples in the park she was in. She threw a rock at the monster to stop it but got scooped up in the process

The monster stared into her soul as if it were searching for something

"Ah it's serenity in her mortal form. When did you get so tall? Never mind that now. Where is the silver crystal? I know you have it hidden somewhere. Tell me and I will spare this nice and quiet city. Where did you hide the silver crystal?"

Samiko smirked and had a evil look in her eyes

"You have the wrong serenity, you monstrous creep. How dare you show up in this peaceful and quiet city?

My eyes are not blue. They are silver. Not all bunny rabbits look alike. I was trying to enjoy my peace and quiet, but no. You had to come and ruin it for what? A piece of jewelry that doesn't even exist anymore. What's so special about a silver crystal? Absolutely nothing!"

She felt a strange power inside of her coming out, her forehead and her left arm were kinda burning but not in a painful way.

The moon symbol appeared on her forehead and the Saturn symbol appeared on her left arm. The light was so bright that it temporarily blinded the monster and she fell from his grasp landing on her feet.

The monster took a moment to regain its eyesight, he noticed she was transformed into a senshi

"Oh no! Not another coming of a senshi team! This isn't going to end well at all for me."

Samiko turned around in her senshi fuku and tried to put it down

"This is way too short, wait a minute. I am five foot four. I didn't want this life! This is a sick joke. I am not going to be what everyone wants me to be. The sooner they get that the better. I will never ever fill my cousin's shoes. I better get rid of this monster and head back home before neo queen serenity has my head on a crystal platter."

She had a sword in her hand and wondered what to do with it. The monster roared and charged at her in a very slow fashion

The sword powered up because her emotions were getting the better of her.

She had no real control of her emotions or anything around her, she raised the sword and sliced the monster in half without calling out the name of her attack.

The monster turned to dust and disappeared into the night, everyone didn't remember what happened, samiko disappeared still wearing her senshi outfit.

She was in a dark alleyway wondering how to get out of her uniform and her sword disappeared as well.

Michiru smiled through the mirror and put it away

"I can tell this is going to be a fun time with Samiko, she definitely needs the proper guidance and training if she is to be a great senshi. Haruka and I can try and talk with her to see where her heart and mind are at. I have a feeling she will open up to one of us. She is half inner and half outer.

I wonder if she would go to the outer senshi family reunion. She would be technically surrounded by family who are like her in a sense."

Usagi looked at Michiru and sighed

"I don't think that is a good idea, she was supposed to be introduced to the press and attend conferences but she didn't bother to show up. I don't know if it was stage fright or it was something else. She doesn't like the attention being on her. She likes to roam the earth as if she doesn't exist at all. I think she doesn't want the world to know about her. I mean having the two last names like Tsukino-Tomoe probably made her scared or something. What else can go wrong with raising her? I want to get close to her. I want to know the real her."

Haruka patted Usagi's head softly

" Koneko-chan, don't worry. It will take time for her to get used to everything. We don't want to rush her into something she isn't ready for and We have to wait for her to come to us.

She is still very young and has no clue how the world works yet. She will sooner or later ask for help when she really needs it. We need to be hands on with her but from a very far distance. We need to give her time and space to let her process things."

Usagi had one eye closed and the other opened as she was getting her head patted

"I suppose you are right, Haruka-san, we will give her time and space to process everything. She didn't have to freak out about her skirt being that short. I mean she is only five foot four, the sailor fuku shouldn't be that short on her.

We should head home and get some rest. We will talk about this in the morning."

Samiko arrived at Usagi's castle in regular clothes and changed into her pjs hiding under her blanket. Today was just weird and confusing for her, she really needed rest and tried to close her eyes, Her cat Evie jumped on her and nuzzled her to gain access under the blanket, Samiko let her in and cuddled her softly and looked at her

"Hi Evie, how are you enjoying your new home so far? Oh wait, you can't talk. All you can do is meow and nuzzle and cuddle.

I do not feel like I belong here, I don't even know these so-called family members. I have been an outcast since i was born or should i say reborn again, i mean what do i really know about my heritage?

All I know is that my past wasn't a good one, things are coming to me in flashes and glimpses but nothing too serious. I should enjoy love and happiness like anyone else but with me it will come with a price.

The price being me hurt and discarded as if i was nothing. Why am I baring my soul to you? It's not like you can possibly understand. You are just my normal cat who is my best friend and who can comfort me."

Evie cleared her throat and nuzzled her cutely

"Samiko-chan, you haven't changed since the silver millennium. You were a stubborn child. I do not blame you considering how you were raised back then, there was nothing I could do to protect you. If I could go back in time, I would have helped you flee the moon kingdom. You told me to run and I did, you didn't want me to see you in the state you were in."

Samiko blinked and shook her head in disbelief

"I think I am going criminally insane or is my cat talking to me? Today has been very weird for the most part. I have to avoid the world unless i am going to school or doctor's appointments or if i have work. I just can't deal with anything today at all."

Evie pawed Samiko's forehead and shook her head

"Samiko, as your legal cat guardian and advisor you must learn the way of the land and accept what's in front of you. You became what you feared of becoming. You are now a senshi in training.

You need proper guidance and training when it comes to your powers and your emotions. You need to rely on your family now, you need to rely on your friends. You can't go through life having a wall up. I am telling you this for your own good and safety, you need to trust others and let them know the real you."

Samiko was already asleep deciding that it was best she slept, since tomorrow was no classes for one day, she was going to sleep in and get rest

The school report was basically done and all they needed to do was watch the movies over the weekend. The next morning Samiko stood in her room while everyone went to eat breakfast, she needed all the rest she could get after last night.

She was tossing and turning in her sleep trying to get comfortable but she was having a nightmare, She was back on the moon and locked away so nobody knows she existed, she was locked behind a wall chained and blindfolded being beaten half to death

The guards were confused in her dream as to why she wasn't screaming like she normally would. She picked up a trick into learning not scream during her daily beatings, she just laughed and taunted the guards

"My grandmother hits harder then you but then again i never met her just like how i never met my parents whoever they were."

Her Smirk scared the guards but they continued until they got tired, once they got tired, they unchained her and took off the blindfold from her eyes. They left her to bleed out, she coughed up blood and made it to the window where everyone was celebrating Princess Usagi's birthday which she wasn't invited to.

Queen Serenity was very ill due a curse placed on her from the cosmos and she was possessed and held in her chambers.

Samiko stared at the sky and saw things she never did before, sadly she was woken up from her sleep by akiko who was staring at her with a plate of food and a glass of milk in her hands

Akiko was becoming worried and decided to feed Samiko her breakfast since she didn't get up early enough

"Samiko, honestly what am I going to do with you? I know we have a day off today but sleeping in isn't something you normally do. What happened last night and where did you go late at night? I heard you leave and watched you go out the window leaving castle grounds?"

Samiko was eating the food akiko was feeding her and sweat dropped on the side of her temple

"Akiko, things last night got out of hand and I apologize for how I spoke to you. I have to learn how to deal with people and learn how to trust people. Last night I just went for a jog and I needed to clear my head about a lot of things. I am all better and sorry for worrying you so much, I didn't mean to. I am not used to people worrying about me and I don't know how to process emotions properly.

I am just used to being left alone and stew in my own emotionless pit of a shell. It is kinda lonely being a turtle in a shell. I know i am not a turtle, i was trying to use a different metaphor for an animal, a turtle is way too cute to use to describe me."

Akiko finished feeding Samiko and gave her glass of milk to finish off her breakfast, She wiped her mouth to clean off the dribble sliding off, she took the cup away and placed it on the table in front of the couch samiko slept on

"I would describe you as a lion or a wolf. You have a lot of bravery in you. You have the spirit of a champion and a leader and nobody will ever take that away from you. You will always be loved and protected by us Samiko, you never have to worry about anything."

She touched samiko's hand and held it for the first time in years, it was as soft as she remembered from their childhood since they held hands a lot in grade school

Samiko blushed dark red feeling the warmth of akiko's touch on her hand, The warmth felt familiar as if they hadn't held hands just in grade school, the warmth of akiko's hand felt normal and comforting. She shook her head and calmed down and slowly pulled her hand away from akiko

"I think i need a cold shower, i will be back and we can watch both movies instead of waiting until the weekend when i work. I am booked for the movie theater for a double shift it seems. I won't be back until seven now. I don't care about the overtime, it's going to make my bank account and I have everything saved from then. I am not spending the holidays with neo queen serenity and her family. I am just gonna drive up the coast and rent a hotel room.

I will order out food and such and enjoy my holidays alone while everyone feasts and bond. I will feel uncomfortable being here during thanksgiving and Christmas. I just want to be alone and figure things out on my own."

She got out of her bed room and rushed to the bath to enjoy her cold shower for a few hours

Akiko went to her book and movie shelf to take out the movies and placed them on the table, she took the dishes to the kitchen and washed them. The group came back to the room waiting for Samiko to come back from wherever she was at

Akiko came back to the room sitting on the couch, she turned on the tv and the news was playing

The news reporter was in crystal Tokyo park where it's famous for teen couples to go to where they wanna make out and be all hands on each other

"A night of romance or was it a true nightmare in crystal Tokyo park for these couples, nobody was harmed thanks to a would be hero who save the park from a monster She disappeared into the shadows, she had a halo on her head and angel wings on her back. Listen mystery hero, whoever you are, thank you for saving these couples who are out past their curfew."

The group turned to the door that opened and saw samiko drying her hair with a towel. They ran and hugged her tightly because they were worried

Akiko looked at samiko and pulled her away from everyone

"We have movies to watch for the school project, we should start on that. I was thinking we can start a secondary report for extra credit. What do you think Samiko?"

Samiko nodded with a smile and sat on the couch

"Akiko, that's a good idea. A secondary report on the movies to boost our grades. We should start watching both movies now so we can get a head start on the report."

Maiko put the combo disc in and turned off the lights so they can have the full effect of the girls sat on the bed waiting for the movie to start.

Akiko looked at Samiko making sure she wasn't injured or anything, she saw she was fine and was relieved about it

"Hey Samiko? Can I sit on the couch with you to watch the movie? I mean if it's ok with you, I don't wanna invade your personal space."

Samiko looked at akiko and nodded

"You can be with me on the couch, i-it's not a problem. You aren't invading any personal space. I-i mean if you want, we can cuddle. I mean only if you want to."

Akiko smiled and nodded

"I would like that very much, We haven't cuddled since grade school. I think you probably outgrew the cuddling because we are middle school about to be high school students in the next couple of months. I didn't want to make you uncomfortable if I had asked."

Samiko kinda caressed akiko's face softly

"Akiko, you would never make me feel uncomfortable. We have been in each other's lives for fifteen years. You shouldn't think that. I am just not used to people caring about me and loving me. I will tell you this once and only once, whatever I am feeling has nothing to do with you.

I was just made to keep a wall up to protect my peace and my sanity. I have emotional scars that will never heal. It's hard to accept feelings of love and compassion when I have never experienced it before. This will take time to get used to, you guys have to give me time to learn how to feel and process things."

Maiko smirked watching the scene unfold in front of them and cleared her throat

"We have a secondary report to write, can we watch the movie without you two being romantic in front of us? I mean if you two wanna make out, we can give you the room."

Samiko and Akiko pulled away from each other with their faces all red from embarrassment. They both went to the couch and cuddled on the couch watching the movie

The group on the bed always suspected that there were underlying feelings for those two but they never acted on it because they didn't want to ruin their fifteen year friendship.

Everyone watched the movie, Midori started typing up the report while paying attention to key notes of the movies

During the movie Samiko was slowly falling asleep cuddling akiko, the movie went fine without too much problems

The report was done with everyone's input even though samiko was asleep holding akiko very close to her without knowing what she was doing

Akiko looked at her friends with the look of content in her eyes, the other three knew to go to the game room to have fun without her and that she would try to catch up with them.

She stayed with Samiko the rest of the day until it was dinner time, she looked at Samiko who was asleep in pure bliss and peacefulness. She crawled up to her softly and carefully not to awaken her best friend. She moved her bangs out and just stared at her and she whispered softly

"I wish to know what's going on in your heart and mind Samiko, We have been best friends for fifteen years.

We used to be able to share everything but now I don't even know who is even in front of me anymore. I will give you the time you need to process everything you need to. I would never hurt you or abandon you.

I care too much about you to lose you. If you ever find yourself in trouble or need help please come to us with your problem. What are best friends for? I want the happy Samiko back, the one I grew up with. I would protect you with my life and I know you would do the same."

She noticed Samiko was stirring in her sleep, so akiko went back into her arms and pretended to be asleep cradled in her arms

Samiko woke up and noticed akiko was asleep and decided to stay like that until their friends came and got them.
