S.A.M. (Sailor angel moon) Arc 1: Not all as it seems, chapter 3 a new senshi leader is here
The events of yesterday made Samiko question everything that happened to her, when she arrived home she saw her friends asleep in her oversized bed.
She took another quick shower and brushed her hair and teeth, She was in her PJs and went to the couch and fell asleep on it. She forgot to grab her blanket to cover herself but she didn't care, she was so tired that she couldn't deal with what's to come next
Akiko woke up and saw samiko's arms were opened, she carefully climbed up and fell asleep on top of her. The next morning samiko felt heavy again and woke up noticing Akiko was on top of her asleep.
She didn't move because she didn't want to feel the wrath of Akiko if she woke up. She simply held her close and kind of cuddled her to keep her from Awakening.
It's not that samiko minded Akiko being this close to her but this was something for couples to do and samiko would never cross the line. their friends spoke about the two winding up together but there was always that stage of denial between them. She would rather die first before trying to court Akiko.
They were better off in the friend zone because it was the safest of zones where nothing crosses over. The night of their family sleepover, samiko felt the cold stares from the older Hino woman in the back of her neck.
She felt nervous and didn't say anything because she just arrived at the castle and she didn't want to make a big deal about anything. She just wanted to be locked in her room inventing things. The stare made her feel so uncomfortable that she was ready to run away if danger were to strike against her.
Akiko started to stir from her sleep and looked at samiko who was staring off into space or rather the ceiling of her bedroom, She booped her nose to grab her attention and she got it well
"Good morning Samiko, how did you sleep? What time did you get home from your nightly prowling?"
Samiko looked down at the girl in her arms and shook her head
"I wasn't prowling Akiko, I simply went for a jog and that was it. I just needed to calm myself down and clear my mindset for a while. I have a lot on my mind and I want it to be out of my head."
Akiko looked into her silver eyes
"We do need to talk about Miyako and Michiko being in our school. Are you going to be ok with them there? I know how Michiko is towards you because of Miyako's flirty behavior."
Samiko closed her eyes to think of the situation that was presented to her, then she opened her eyes to look at Akiko with her answer
"I mean they could have chosen any other public school in the area or far away. They chose to come here for whatever reason. I don't understand why. Our school advanced but not like how Mugen was.
If Mugen was still up and running they would be there right now. I would kill to go there. My grades are great. I have the brain for science and robotics. I am always inventing things whenever I have too much time on my hands. I suppose having a harem isn't bad at all. We all grew up together right?"
She joked knowing full well Akiko would get mad
Akiko's face turned red and she flicked Samiko's forehead hard
"Samiko Serenity tsukino-Tomoe! You aren't having a harem! What type of sick joke is that?! A harem?! Save yourself for someone worthy of you. You deserve love and happiness. A white picket fence and a large yard. You should find someone who makes you feel over the moon and stars."
Samiko rubbed her own forehead since it was still stinging and she looked at akiko
"Akiko, finding someone like that is one in a trillion. I will never find anyone like that. I closed my heart out to the possibility of ever finding someone with that type of commitment.
I don't believe in love or marriage right now. It's not in the cards for me right now. I rather focus on a possible career after we graduate high school and college, even then my heart will be closed off because I will always have a feeling of me being abandoned and left behind.
You all can get married and have your large yards and white picket fences. Marriage and having my own family isn't for me. Who would want to date a broken and lost soul like me anyways? I am meant to be alone and that's how the stars have it written for me."
Akiko sighed and got off of Samiko sitting down on the couch
"I didn't want to start the morning like this. We have the day off samiko, we should enjoy it before we return to class tomorrow. What do you want to do today?"
She waited for an answer but Samiko was lost in her own thoughts. She left the room to go join the others for breakfast before Samiko snapped out of the daze she was in.
Samiko noticed everyone in her room was gone and she had the chance to be by herself, she thought to herself for a while about what happened last night
'I don't believe in what happened last night. It was a fluke and it will never ever happen again. I refuse to accept a Destiny that isn't mine.
I will lead my own life by my own rules. I only live here temporarily, I don't exist to anyone. I want to keep it that way. I am raising myself and I am doing a fine job. I don't need guidance and I don't need to be babysat. I wish I could live on my own.
My life means nothing to nobody here. They just wanna control it and mold me into the next neo queen serenity. I will never ever be her or fill her shoes. I am me and whoever that is, people will have to accept it. Usagi is her own person, I am not her. I will never find true everlasting love. I will never get married. I will never see happiness. I am cursed for all eternity. Whoever cursed me… i thank you.
Let the games begin and let the world crush whatever I have left in me.'
Usagi came into Samiko's room, she knocked first because she felt like she was going to be plastered to the wall like Mamoru was. When she came in she saw samiko's tears rolling down her face and walked carefully out the room without making a sound. She wondered what made Samiko cry in the first place, she wanted to hug her but she knew Samiko wasn't a huggie feely person
The old scout team saw Samiko transform last night and they saw angel wings come out of her back after her transformation and they saw a halo on top of her head. The markings on her forehead and left arm were as clear as the stars in the sky. She was a chosen one whether she liked it or not, she was chosen to protect earth.
Haruka was right, she needed proper guidance and training to master whatever power she had locked inside her. If she is half and half, that means she is the yin and the yang as Michiru put it.
The moon side of her outweighs the Saturn side so there wouldn't be any issues. She just needs proper training is all. In order for that to happen, she needed to feel comfortable around her new family and take time to bond with them. Mamoru saw Usagi outside of Samiko's bedroom, he walked up to her and tapped her shoulder
"Usako, what's wrong? Didn't you come to bring Samiko down for breakfast?"
Usagi looked at her husband with a sad expression
"Samiko, she is sad right now. I think she needs a mental break at the moment to get herself together. Yesterday was probably too much for her to handle.
We should leave her alone for a while until she feels comfortable enough to talk about it with us. I just want her to be open and honest with us. She doesn't have to hide the real her from the world. What's the worst that can happen if she lets the world see the real her?"
Samiko opened the door scaring Usagi half to death without meaning to
"Neo queen serenity, the world will crumble if it knows the real me whoever that is. I don't even know the real me. I don't feel comfortable in your home when your friends are around. The older woman with the purple hair… she was glaring at me up and down as if she was reading a newspaper. I felt a cold chill from her and I didn't like it.
This is your home and you can have whoever you want in it, this isn't my home. I am not welcomed here. I will move out soon enough so your kingdom can be at peace. i don't know what I did to the woman with the purple hair, I apologize. If I offended her with my presence I will kindly leave the crystal palace and not come back."
Usagi screamed and calmed down
"Samiko, you don't have to leave. You aren't allowed to make a choice like that. You are still fifteen years old. Rei glares at everyone. She is a Hino after all. She is just being her normal self. If you have a problem please come to us. We are your family after all. We want to get to know the real you that's hidden in that clam shell. Please feel comfortable when dealing with things outside the castle or school. We are your legal guardians after all. You don't have to do everything on your own anymore."
Samiko shook her head
"I am sorry, I can't accept that. I am used to doing things on my own Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion, The stars have already written for me that I am meant to roam the earth alone. I don't see happiness in my future either.
All I see is disappointment and failure. I always have to work harder than everyone else. Yes I have great grades, I am on sports teams and different clubs and I manage two part time jobs. What I do is never enough for anyone.
I am not enough. I will never ever be enough for anyone. My life is nothing but heartbreak and disappointments. I closed my heart off for good reasons. I will not allow anyone in even if they are family!"
She slammed the door to her bedroom locking herself in hiding under the covers and started crying quietly. Usagi and Mamoru just stood there shocked, they didn't know what her true feelings were until now
They decided to leave her alone for a while until she came out to eat or interact with people. Haruka and Michiru stopped by to check on their rulers, they sat in the kitchen eating salads for breakfast, They saw the look on their faces and put what happened just by expression.
Michiru looked at Usagi and held her hand
"We'll take it from here. Let us take samiko for a while and see how she is. You two relax and wait for Chibiusa to call from America. She should be calling any day now.
Haruka, go get Samiko so we can show her around. I am sure we can get her to turn course. Setsuna and Hotaru are in Okinawa presenting a science project to see if it can help plants to stop from dying. They will be gone for at least a month or so. This will give us a chance to get to know the little saturn rabbit."
Haruka looked at Michiru with a curious look in her eyes
"I suppose this can work. I will get the Saturn rabbit out of her bedroom. We don't have anything planned today so we have time. Which is her bedroom?"
Usagi looked at Haruka and then she blinked
"It's the first room on the left. It has a huge S hanging on it. The S is gold plated. You can't miss it. Thank you guys for helping us with this. We honestly don't know what to do from here."
Haruka nodded
"We will take it from here, koneko-chan, don't worry about it."
She walked to Samiko's room and knocked on it very hard hoping for an answer
Samiko got off the couch and washed her face to make it less puffy, She opened the door and rubbed her eyes
"Miyako, what are you doing here? How did you even know where I live? If you are here that means Michiko is here as well. I am not trying to die by your wife. You have a lot of nerve showing up here. Shoo shoo away!"
Haruka chuckled
"Small lady, I am not Miyako. I am Haruka. Miyako is my baby cousin. I see you are suffering from war flashbacks. Whatever she did, she will get a strict talking to.
I will personally make sure she gets lectured. All of us Tenohs aren't the same. We live life accordingly and how we want. My wife Michiru is downstairs with Usagi and Mamoru. We heard you are having difficulties getting used to living in crystal Tokyo palace.
Michiru and I were wondering if you would like to spend some time with us today. We aren't doing anything special. Our wife Setsuna and our daughter Hotatu are in Okinawa for a science conference and they will be gone for a month or so.
This can give us a chance to talk and get to know you better. What do you say small lady? Would you spend some time with us today?"
Samiko was calm enough because of Haruka's aura going all around the castle
She nodded in agreement
"I am not opposed to getting to know neo queen serenity's friends. Let me get ready first. I will be out in a few minutes."
She closed the door to get ready. She had on a white t-shirt and semi ripped jeans and a jean jacket vest on, her hair was in a ponytail and she had a baseball cap on with her black and white sneakers on her feet, She emerged from her bedroom, Haruka was surprised to see the old school clothing, but nevertheless she was happy the Saturn rabbit agreed to go out with her and Michiru.
Haruka looked at Samiko wondering what Miyako could have done to her to make her be on edge, whatever it was Michiko scared the hell out of Samiko.
They walked to the kitchen and saw everyone sitting down at the table, Samiko's friends had left the castle for the day, going back to their own homes to prepare for early morning classes.
Samiko left with Haruka and Michiru to wherever they were going to take her. She was reading a romantic detective book, it was a series she was waiting for the rest to come out as soon as it hit the shelves, she didn't care if she had wait in line all day for it
Haruka saw samiko was wrapped up in her book while they were driving to a location, when the car stopped and was parked samiko placed a bookmark inside of her book. She handed the book over to Haruka to place it in her glove compartment for safe keeping so she could focus on what was happening.
Michiru smiled seeing samiko getting kind of being comfortable around them. They all got out of the car and walked into the museum to go see some art work. Samiko had never been to an art museum before, the art was overwhelming for someone like her but she kept her cool and looked around the exhibit
Haruka and Michiru noticed she was being calm which was a good thing for them, they wanted to make her feel welcome and comfortable. They noticed she stopped at a painting she couldn't take her eyes off of. The painting had caught her eye and she just continued to stare at it
The couple walked over to the young princess in training and wondered why the painting grabbed her attention
Haruka tapped her shoulder softly waiting for a response
"Samiko-chan, are you ok? Did this painting grab your attention?"
She saw what the picture represented, she saw chaos and destruction, people scattered around trying to find safety or even death.
Samiko slowly touched the picture and started seeing things that weren't there, the flashes came fast into her mind and she started crying quietly inside without tears streaming from her eyes
Michiru felt the sadness coming from the young princess, she tapped her shoulder and samiko snapped out of the trance she was in, She looked at the older women in front of her as the sweat dripped from her forehead
Haruka wiped the sweat from the young girl's forehead with a small napkin, she became worried because of how quiet the young girl was in front of her
"Samiko-chan, are you ok? You seem like you saw a ghost or something. You looked very flushed. Are you getting sick? What's wrong? Say something."
Samiko regained her composure and shook her head, she took a moment to catch her breath. She looked at Haruka and nodded, she finally calmed down enough to answer whatever questions they were going to ask.
"I am fine, just lost my train of thought for a moment. What was the question you asked me? I normally answer questions quickly, my mind went blank. The blankest it ever went. I don't remember what happened or what I was thinking about. So where to next?"
Michiru looked at the young girl in front of her but she knew what she had saw during the whole thing
"Samiko-chan, what did you see exactly? What did that painting make you feel? You became very pale and started to sweat as if you had an outer body experience, you wanted to cry but you didn't shed a single tear. What happened in your frozen state of mind? You can tell us."
Samiko's body shook a little bit and calmed down
"I don't know what really happened, I just saw destruction and chaos. People were running for their lives but nobody made it.
The people who did make it were reborn and given a second chance. The kingdom that was once bright in the sky was destroyed along with someone that was never important.
She was cursed and she has to live with that curse until she dies basically. She isn't meant to enjoy life and everything will be thrown at her like a rock. She will not survive the war that will be inflicted on earth. She will scatter like a rose in the wind."
Haruka walked samiko outside to calm her down some more, she brought her a bottled water
"Samiko-chan, drink this. It will calm you down. Relax and breathe. Collect your thoughts. We need to understand how you feel and what your thoughts are. You seem to have a lot running through your mind at the moment."
Samiko drank the water bottle carefully and calmed down, letting the wind consume her body. She closed the water bottle and placed it beside her, she looked at Haruka with a concerned look on her face
"I just saw the future and it wasn't pretty, not at all. Nightmares do come true after all. This time I won't survive at all. Everyone will be safe and sound, I won't make it. I have to leave crystal palace at once so you all can be safe and no misfortune is bestowed on you. I am a danger to everyone's peace and happiness. I need to disappear for good."
Haruka grabbed Samiko and hugged her because she really needed
"Small lady Samiko Serenity Tsukino-Tomoe, The earth is safe from all evil. It's not going to crumble because you exist. You were meant to be here for a reason, you were given a second chance at life. Don't throw it away as if it was nothing.
We all were given a second chance to live the life we always wanted. Your cousin Neo queen serenity and her husband made sure there was always peace on earth. We all made sure that the next generation flourished with positivity and hope so that way life would be easier."
Samiko looked at her with a saddened expression on her face
"Haruka-san, people like me aren't born to get a second chance at life, they are given a chance to repeat history. You all were given the second to live life as you see fit, i wasn't so lucky, back then none of you knew i existed in the first place.
I was kept as a secret and very well hidden. The moon kingdom was destroyed with me along with it, after it was destroyed a curse was placed on me to remind me that I wasn't meant to be born to be filled with happiness or fall in love. I am meant to roam the earth or existence all alone without guidance and I have to accept it.
I keep my own best friends at arm's length because I know the damage I can cause to them if I lose my temper or say something I do not mean.
My life doesn't matter to anyone at this moment and it never will, I am fine with that. I accept whatever is coming toward me and I will let it crush me until I become an empty shell of a person. I have made this far with the world crashing down on me, why stop now when the show is getting more to the dramatic scenes. I know what's coming and what is going to happen to me, you can't avoid it even if you wanted to."
Michiru hugged Samiko tightly and patted her head
"Samiko, you have accepted your fate and won't even give this second chance of life that was given to you as a precious gift to live it how you want it?
It's sad that a smart and capable young talented girl like you sees the world as bleak as you do. You have thousands of opportunities to be who you want to be, you can choose your own path in life. Whatever you decide to be, that is your choice and your choice alone. Do not let others influence you when it comes to your future."
Samiko slowly pulled out of the hug so she can breathe
"Haruka-san and Michiru-san, I am not used to getting affection like this. I am usually left alone when everyone is enjoying their lives.
If I run away from my problems, my problems will not exist anymore. I have a feeling this is just the beginning of what's to come.
Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion have tried three times since I moved in with them to help me decide what I want to be in the future.
I just simply ignore it because I know there is no future for me to be had. I know what my friends want to be when we graduate from high school and college if I ever make it that far with them.
Maiko wants to be a fashion designer or a singer, Amaterasu wants to be a famous chef who travels around the world, Midori wants to be a scientist or a doctor.
Akiko her dream is to be a flight attendant or a school teacher. I know deep down she wants this but she also wants to be a housewife with six kids and twelve huskies and white picket fence.
I haven't decided on anything I want to be because I know I won't make it past my sixteenth birthday. I didn't make it past my fourteenth birthday on the moon, what makes it different from being on earth?
My death is unavoidable and it is coming, I have nightmares about it. It will come in a way I expect it to happen again. I have been prepared for this since the collapse of the moon kingdom, I don't want anyone to worry about me when it happens.
I won't exist after this, this was written in the stars. The shoes you all expect me to fill, I can't and I won't. I will never ever fill the shoes of Neo queen Serenity, everyone expects me to be just like her but i am me, she is her. We do not behave in the same manner or think alike. We have different views on how life should be like, my view is gloomy. Neo Queen Serenity is full of hope and promise."
She went quiet for a while covering her face with her hands trying to fight the tears from falling from her eyes.
Haruka patted her head softly waiting for her to calm down, she looked at Michiru who was very quiet
"Small lady, where would you like to go and eat? We have all day today. What are your favorite foods to eat?"
Samiko was calm and finished shaking her body, she looked at Haruka with a small smile
"I am not big on sweets, I do enjoy pasta and other foods. I have to stay in shape because of sports clubs and such. I have a strict schedule for when I need or want to enjoy things in life. I have to follow it to the letter. I feel like if i don't follow my schedule, it would be chaos to say the least. I don't care where we go to eat. I'm not picky when it comes to food at all."
Haruka smiled and helped her get up from sitting on the museum steps
"Michiru and I know this cute restaurant on the corner, it's more of a buffet than anything. You can eat whatever you want and however you like."
Samiko smiled and got up dusting herself off carefully walking to the car with Haruka and Michiru so they can drive over to the buffet
Meanwhile back at the castle, Usagi and Mamoru were waiting for a call from chibiusa by computer.
They get frantic when they haven't heard from their daughter in a very long amount of time, the computer chimed and Usagi ran as fast as she could, tripping over her own foot. Mamoru picked up her up and dusted her off and ran with her to the computer, when they got to the office they were so happy to see their daughter on the computer screen
Usagi pushed Mamoru out of the chair and sat down
"Hi chibiusa, how is America? How is college? Are you doing ok in your classes?"
Chibiusa had her headphones on and was on the screen looking at her parents
"My classes are fine, I have top marks and I am preparing for finals. America is an awesome experience. I am learning so much about their customs and I have a part time job as well working at the campus store. I am having fun in my dorm as well, I met so many people. How are things at home?"
Usagi stared into the computer screen looking at her daughter
"We are fine, everything has been going well. We have a new family member living with us and it's been an adjustment. Haruka and Michiru are with her, showing her the world. I hope that is going ok and she isn't giving them too much trouble."
Chibiusa was sitting in her chair in her dorm room
"Mama, we have a new family member living with us? Why didn't you call me right away? I would have loved to meet her and speak to her. If she is anything like you, we are all doomed."
Usagi fell out of her chair and Mamoru sat inside the big chair
"We didn't want to bother you because you were studying so hard for your exams and enjoying your social life. We are glad you are enjoying your time in America, when are you coming home for a visit? We miss having you around the castle."
Chibiusa smiled seeing her dad all teary eyed and giggled
"Papa, you are king of the earth. Start acting like it. I will be home soon as my exams are over. I have about three months before I come home, I have so much studying to do it is bananas. So tell me about this new family member. What is she like? Is she anything like mama?"
Mamoru shook his head in a confused way
"Samiko, is nothing like your mother. She is very smart and always keeps to herself. She is a bit of a bookworm and she likes to build things from scratch. If Mugen was still around she would have gone there with no issues. We see promise in her, we just need her to get used to us. She had a rough upbringing so she lives with us now."
Chibiusa smiled and nodded
"I can't wait to return home for this, I can't wait to meet her. This is going to be fun. I think you guys should throw her a coronation party so people can know her around the castle. You should wait until I get home to do that, I mean if she accepts the party that it is."
Usagi got up from falling out of the chair and sighed
"Chibiusa, we have tried three times to throw her a coronation party so people can get to know her. She doesn't want the kingdom to know she doesn't exist at all, she keeps herself locked in her room.
The only people she lets around her are her friends that she grew up with and that's about it. She really keeps herself locked away and doesn't speak to anyone. I think she doesn't like the attention on her. I don't want to scare her off, you know, she is a good kid but misguided. Every time she sees me or looks at me, she runs away and locks herself in her room and I haven't got the slightest idea why. It's like she sees a ghost or the devil in me or something."
Mamoru looked at the computer screen to see his child
"I don't think we should call it a coronation party, it should be more of a welcome to the family party. The word coronation sounds too formal and it will spook her off.
She also transformed into a scout last night so that kinda spooked her off the face of the planet. She had angel wings come out of her back and a halo on the top of her head. The moon symbol was on her forehead and the saturn symbol was on her left arm. She freaked out about how short the skirt was so I don't think she wants to be a scout."
Chibiusa giggled
"Samiko will be named Sailor Angel Moon, one day she will have to accept and embrace who she really is. Wait a minute, did you say the saturn symbol was on her left arm instead of it being on her forehead?"
Mamoru looked confused at his daughter through the computer screen
" I did say that chibiusa, why do you ask? Did you figure out something?"
Chibiusa looked around her dorm room and made sure nobody was around her to hear anything, She looked at her parents through the computer screen
"Papa, Grandma Queen Serenity the first visited me in a dream last night. She has been visiting me a lot lately in my dreams. She was trying to reach mama but she couldn't. She was speaking in moon royal code. All I knew from the code was that she was very sorry and she wishes that Samiko didn't have to go through what she went through back on the moon.
I couldn't make out the rest of it, maybe Artemis and Luna can make sense of it. I couldn't, the dream version of her was very fuzzy and almost digital like. She kept going in and out of it."
Usagi sat back in the chair and stared at Mamoru wondering what the dream meant and than she looked back at her daughter
"We will ask Luna and Artemis to go to the command center after the arcade closes for the evening. I want you to call them after you are finished with classes and exams."
Chibiusa nodded
"I gotta go, i have drama class now i will call back after i am done for the evening. I love you both. Papa keep mama out of trouble, would you?"
Mamoru chuckled
"Chibiusa, your mother's middle name is trouble. I will try though. We love you so much and we are very proud of you. Talk to you on Sunday."
Chibiusa hung up the call and ran to her class.
Mamoru was rubbing his wife's shoulders to keep her calm
"I wonder what your mother was trying to reach you about, do you think we should go to the moon? The answers to Samiko's disconnected behavior and why she rather go unnoticed. Haruka and Michiru are with Samiko, we just need the inner scouts for now for the teleportation. If we find out more about samiko's past, we can get to know her better. This can help us with raising her."
Usagi was quiet for a moment and she looked up at her husband
"Mamo, it's worth a shot. I do want to form a bond with Samiko. She is my little cousin after all. I want to be there for her when she needs me the most. I don't want her to think she can't depend on me for nothing. I don't want her to think she is a burden on us, she needs to understand that family is here for her one hundred percent."
Mamoru nodded and continued rubbing her shoulders softly
"We are here for her, she just needs to have trust in us. I know she doesn't trust most adults. I hope Haruka and Michiru are getting through to her right now."
Haruka and Michiru were at the buffet watching Samiko choose what she wanted to eat, they were happy she was letting loose around them.
Michiru looked at Haruka still with a concerned look on her face
"Samiko seems to be enjoying herself, but something is still preventing her from letting us in fully. What she said to us at the museum was very concerning. It's like she is waiting for the world to crush her, She said she was prepared for it, whatever it is that is coming towards her.
She said she doesn't want anyone to know the real her because she doesn't want the peace and serenity of earth to disappear. I am scared for her Haruka, I really am."
Haruka held Michiru's hand
"We will take care of this Michiru, we promised our king and queen we would. We are doing what we can to get to know her and see what she is like.
We can't believe what that note said, she really isn't exhibiting the behavior her parents are saying she is doing. She seems really sweet and understanding, but her heart is locked up for protection reasons. She doesn't trust adults because of how her parents treated her. We all have to give time to understand her surroundings and what she is feeling."
Samiko came back with the food and started eating carefully, she enjoyed the food she was eating along with Haruka and Michiru. Haruka smiled watching her eat and feeling relaxed. The older women were drinking honey flavored milk tea.
They finished up the luncheon and too Samiko to wherever she wanted to go to next, to their surprise she wanted to go the book store to see if she could get the early release of her book collection of the detective romance series
They made their way to the bookstore, surprisingly the bookstore had a few customers inside. She knew the bookstore owner personally so she could go behind the counter and see what series were available for her to grab. The three series she wanted were there ready for her to purchase, she brought the books and was happy and content with her purchase. This should keep her busy when she has her down time from her studies which is almost always.
She went back to Haruka's car and sat in the back with her huge back of books
Haruka saw the smile on her face and was pleased that she got what she wanted, she looked in her car mirror with a smile
"So, small lady Samiko, what books did you get? It looks like a big purchase."
Samiko smiled at Haruka with her bright silver eyes
"I finally got the books I wanted before it was released to the general public. I know the bookstore owner personally so I can go behind the counter and go into the inventory and raid which series I want before it goes on sale. These books will sell like hotcakes and i wouldn't have been able to get them for like two whole weeks. I didn't want to wait until there were no books left. I'd rather get it before the sale. I can't wait to get back to usagi's and read it, this is going to take me a lot of time."
Haruka smiled
"I am glad you are enjoying yourself and letting loose, We just want you to enjoy yourself, We want to get to know the real you. We see the opposite of what you explained at the museum.
You secretly want a bond with Usagi and Mamoru but we know that it will take time, we won't force you to do anything that you do not wish to do.
We want you to grow into your own person, you do not have to be a scout if you don't want to be. We haven't needed scouts for many years now because we are at peace. The time will come when you decide your own future. We don't expect you to follow in Neo Queen Serenity's footsteps. I seriously doubt we will have evil striking the kingdom.
We are safe, happy and healthy. We do not have to look over our shoulders anymore. We can finally live and lead our lives how we want. We just check on our king and queen because it's ingrained in us to do so."
Samiko looked at Haruka and nodded
"I still have time to decide what I want to be, I will be in high school soon so I have a lot to think about before rushing into anything rash. I don't want my friends worrying that I will go off the deep end and do something stupid I can't come back from. I need to adjust my attitude towards everyone who comes into contact with me. I am a good kid but I was treated horribly by my parents.
I did everything I could to please them but they wanted more than what I could give them. I have excellent grades, work two part time jobs and have after school club meetings. What I did wasn't enough for them." She yawned and fell asleep in the backseat, she was exhausted after today and really needed a nap
Michiru looked behind her and saw that Samiko was out cold, she smiled
"We should tell Usagi we made progress and that we are taking her back to our place so she can rest. We have enough space and we have the guest room that hasn't been used. She can spend the night with us and feel the calm aura she needs. We just need to pick up a few things for her to make her feel comfortable. We need to lecture Miyako about things, Samiko is scared of Michiko. Miyako caused a whole chain reaction."
Michiru nodded
"I guess i will talk to Michiko while you deal with Miyako, whatever your cousin caused that will be put an end to. Samiko has no reason to be scared of Michiko. What did Samiko tell you the trouble that Miyako caused?"
Haruka continued driving to the nearest outlet store to get some things for samiko
"Small lady Samiko told me that Miyako kissed her when they were younger. She was reading a book in the park because she was having difficulties performing a scene with akiko for a school play.
Miyako was training in the park which she knows she shouldn't be doing. She saw Small lady Samiko distracted by her book, she ran up to her taking the book and kissed her on the lips, she panicked and grabbed Miyako's arm flipping her into the nearest tree causing both the tree and Miyako's arm to break.
Michiko saw the entire thing and well started giving small lady Samiko the death glares.
I think if we invited Small lady to our family reunion, there would be a conflict and we can't have that around Hotaru. Hotaru even though she is 21, she is still not used to large crowds or family events. She likes nice and quiet places where there is focus. I see that both small lady Samiko and Hotaru both like the nice and quiet sceneries. I believe it's their preferred moment of peace and quiet."
Michiru blinked
"Haruka, I do see it. I like the nice and quiet scenery for both girls. I have never seen a well behaved group of senshi in training before. I mean we are the original senshi group, but Samiko has her friends under control so chaos doesn't ensue. I think this is a very good thing, this proves she can handle things within her camp. We will figure things out when the time comes, I think deep down she knows she can't run from this like you tried to in the past."
Haruka stopped the car and parked it carefully in front of the outlet mall, and Michiru went inside to get things for Samiko. She came back out and got in the car carefully. They drove off to their apartment.
Akiko and the rest of the girls were at her house helping the shrine with their yearly cleaning, Maiko sat down on the bench wiping the sweat from her forehead relaxing, she called akiko over to take a seat so they could talk about whatever is going on currently.
Akiko sat by Maiko all quiet wiping the sweat off of her own forehead, she gave Maiko a cold glass bottle of milk to drink, Maiko took it and drank it carefully and threw out the bottle in the trash bag, she sat back down on the shrine bench behind the house. She had a curious look in her eyes and stared at akiko
"Akiko, what is going on with you and samiko? We have been at her residence for a while due to school projects and other things. How is it you always wind up in her arms and don't wake her up? You know she isn't the type to be affectionate or welcoming to things that seem safe.
Is there something that you two aren't telling us? You two have more talks then a normal married couple. What gives akiko? Spill it right now."
Akiko's face went bright red and she shook her head to calm herself down
"Maiko, I can assure you nothing is going on with me and samiko. I've just been like that with her since we were kids. I just feel comfortable and safe sleeping near her for some reason, I can't explain it.
We do not have more pillow talks then a normal married couple. I don't think Samiko views me as a romantic interest anyways. She can date anyone she wants, but i think that she won't date at this time anyways. She made it clear that she won't open her heart to that at all. She doesn't see herself in a relationship or being married.
She said she is destined to roam the earth as a lone wolf without direction. She said we have a higher chance of tying the knot and living our best lives, she won't be part of it.
She calls herself a lone wolf and a nomad. She will travel and travel until she finds her true calling or way of life. I am scared she is going to do something very stupid one day that will affect us all and she will not come back from that mistake. I don't want her to regret doing anything she can't come back from. She already keeps us all at arm's length for safety reasons, I don't want her to think she can't trust us or come to us if she has a problem."
Maiko blinked and sighed
"Samiko is a very complicated person, we all know that. If there was a problem she would try to figure it out on her own before coming to anyone.
Once the problem is figured out, we have nothing to worry about. She knows us and would make sure we are safe and sound. If we sleep over again, try to stay out of her arms. You are a big girl now, you don't need to sleep with a teddy bear anymore. We just have to respect her personal space, that's all."
Amaterasu went over to the two who were talking and wiggled her eyebrows
"We have the shrine to finish before Rei and Minako get home, we have to make sure everything is cleaned and washed. I want to prepare a nice meal for them when they get home from work."
Akiko and Maiko both got up and walked back to help the girls to finish up the shrine. Amaterasu went inside to start preparing the nice home cooked meal for Minako and Rei. Minako is a fashion designer and Rei is a flight attendant for Tokyo National airport, both jobs were tiring but enjoyable.
Rei and Minako both got to travel the world for free and see many sights together. They are married and raising Akiko and Maiko together at the shrine, Akiko and Maiko both have siblings as well also being raised by the retired senshi of Love and fire.
Amaterasu and Midori were also being raised by Makoto and Ami, they lived in the sky rise apartment that overlooked the city. Ami and Makoto both go to conventions for their jobs, they always find time to make time for each other whenever they have down time. Ami is a world famous doctor/scientist and Makoto is world famous martial artist and flower/bakery owner
Their apartment always smelled like spring and fresh baked goods whenever you entered their home. A limo pulled in front of the shrine, the girls finished with the shrine chores, lunch was set up in the dining area. The girls welcomed the retired senshi home with huge hugs and led them inside of the shrine.
Minako and Rei took off their shoes leaving them by the door and put their slippers on their feet, They all sat in the dining area eating and talking with one another, Rei looked at akiko who was in another world at the moment
Rei cleared her throat to grab Akiko's attention
"Akiko, something on your mind? You have been quiet since we got home. What's going on? Are your studies going ok? Are the tests that difficult? What's going on with you?"
Akiko looked at her older cousin with a confused look on her face
"I am fine Reiko, no need to worry. My studies are going very well. The tests are very easy. I want to be challenged more, I will be entering high school soon and I want to choose my career path that is most suited for me. I will be waiting for college entrance exams as well, I am very well prepared so to speak. We are all very well prepared for everything. There is no need to be worried."
Rei wiggled her eyebrows and looked at her cousin
"What's going on with the newest addition in Usagi's castle? She seemed uncomfortable being around people."
Akiko had that curious look in her eyes while staring at rei
"Samiko, she isn't used to being around people like that. I mean look who she has to live up to. She is under a lot of pressure for no reason at all, maybe she felt uncomfortable because you were kind of glaring at her as if you were peering into her soul. I am not going to lie here rei, your glare can scare off a pack of wolves if you were thrown into a forest alone."
Rei was shocked to hear that her glare scared Samiko into being quiet
"I am plenty nice akiko, my glare isn't all that bad. My temper has improved over the years, I haven't lost my temper once since marrying Minako and I have been very professional in my job. Usagi and I haven't yelled at each other in a very long time either. Your friend shouldn't be scared of me at all. I am very warm and welcoming to all who are family to Usagi."
Akiko blinked
"I know everyone is expecting a rei and Usagi 2.0 with me and Samiko, that isn't going to happen. We are far different from you guys, we try to communicate with each other and fix our issues."
Maiko blinked and cleared her throat
"Akiko, you mean Samiko tries to fix all of our issues and we have to agree to it. She isn't very subtle about how she fixes things. We have known her for fifteen years."
Akiko blinked
"Maiko, we don't always agree with her methods but they do work half the time. This is Samiko we are talking about and she is doing what she thinks is best for us as a unit. We will be fine as long as we stay together and work through things."
Haruka and Michiru arrived at their skyrise apartment, they carefully woke up Samiko to tell her she will be staying the night to be safe and sound. Samiko was still half asleep and rubbed her eyes, agreeing to stay at the retried senshi's apartment.
Michiru noticed that there are somethings that samiko does take after when it comes to Usagi, The half asleepness and walking into walls by mistake and falling on the floor after impact and getting right back up as if nothing happened. They made it to the apartment safe and sound without incident, Samiko fell onto the couch and fell asleep, she didn't even change into her pajamas.
Haruka and Michiru changed into their proper nightwear and went to bed after covering Samiko with a warm blanket and putting a pillow under her head.
