With the announcement of Pokémon Legends Z-A, it's worth noting this series will take nothing from it. The outline and blueprint for the rest of it is set. So, even as someone who adored Legends Arceus, I need to stick to my guns for telling this story. Please understand. And please read Chapter 3!
Chapter 3
An Announcement
To say the classroom had fallen into silence was an understatement. Many of the students, and the smaller Pokémon that accompanied them, were completely awestruck by the woman's presence. At first, Juliana couldn't understand why; they had seen their fair share of teachers in the past, guest or not. One more made no real difference.
Yet the longer she stood there, her eyes sweeping over every student without once losing her smile, the more Juliana felt she might have grasped it. There was something…gravitating about this woman. Something that wrapped the students in a warm hug that refused to let go. It was odd for a teacher, but enough to garner attention and have her put her feet on the floor. Quaxly looked up with his own sense of confusion, but it was overridden by Serena speaking.
From the first word, it sounded like she was speaking to them as equals.
"So, like Mr. Jacq said, I'll be teaching here in an, admittedly, temporary position for the term ahead," she said. The little girl near her tugged at her pencil skirt, but Serena patted her on the head. Somehow, the girl took that as a sign to separate from her and start wandering the classroom. More bizarre yet was that Serena let her. "My passion is, and has nearly always been, Performing. From the way trainers and Pokémon can move to the smiles it puts on people's faces, that is what I've tried to impart to everyone, my generation on to the next."
"But then, why are you here?" a student suddenly gasped out. All at once, the kids behind him slapped him upside the head, and one of their Fidough bit on his ear. "Agh, I only meant…I thought you ran a school in Galar."
"Fiiiid!" the Pokémon latched on to him barked, causing him to thrash. This earned the laughter of the little girl.
"Mama, look, he wants to play!"
Serena smiled at that, but Juliana could see an almost icy glare directed right at her presumed daughter. Said girl spun around, looking at more of the Pokémon before her mother could verbally scold her. Meanwhile, Serena continued on. "I do, you could say. But there's nothing wrong with expanding one's horizons. Sharing cultures. Galar is one working to do so, as are many other regions besides. I want to incorporate them into my Performing, and I want to bring Performing to everyone. Though I'm glad to hear you've heard of it."
"Heard of it? How can anyone not know of the Great Kalos Queen Serena! She's a legend!" a girl cried out, practically swooning.
"I don't know about 'great'…" Serena said, her embarrassment coming to flush her face. Juliana continued watching with a quirked eyebrow. Part of her felt ashamed for knowing nothing of this woman except for her child, but that part vanished when Nemona opened her own mouth.
"She's more than that! She's the wife of the greatest legend ever known!" Nemona screamed, practically squealing as all sense of decorum flew out the window. "You are, right? I've recognized you from your pairs on all the magazines! I know it! You're Serena Ketchum, wife of the Ash Ketchum!"
Who? Juliana asked, though she didn't dare speak it aloud. There was something in her brain, some name she was sure she had read, but it was simply so outside of her sphere that it didn't matter. To a great many people in the room, however, it did. Many began to stand again, some of them with sparkles in their eyes. It was enough to offset Serena, though she didn't lose the genial smile.
"Ah, yes, Ash is my husband, for those that know him." Nemona slapped her desk, pleased with her power of observation in the situation. "That said, I'd like to think we've each built careers on our own merits, and I greatly look forward to help nurture you young students into different fields and expressions on your road as trainers."
"Very well put, Miss Serena."
"Mama and daddy are the greatest!" The little girl's voice was almost too close for comfort, and when Juliana looked down, she was given a start. Somehow, despite her loud voice, the girl was right next to her desk, staring up at Quaxly with the brightest of eyes. He took notice and flapped to the desk to strike a pose. "I like your Pokémon. He's fluffy!"
"Quax!"
"Ah…er…thanks, I guess?" Juliana said. She regarded the girl with a mixture of bemusement and boredom, but said little else about the bundle of energy that was trying to reach up and pet Quaxly. "He's…not really my Pokémon, though. Ah, watch it!"
Before the little girl could heed the warning, she had tried to climb the desk, her Dedenne shoes slipping on the metal and causing her to almost fall. Juliana reached out to catch her, and her bag jostled loose from her chair, instead providing a cushion upon which the girl could land. She finished her tumble, her butt hitting the various books inside the bag. Many turned to look at her, expecting her to burst out crying with all the shrill volume of a Noibat, but she instead began to laugh. "Whee! That was fun!"
"You're one bizarre kid…" Juliana muttered, sharing a look with Quaxly. The girl didn't hear her, instead turning over as her tiny hand clasped around one of the keychains on her bag.
It elicited an immediate gasp.
"Mama! Mama, look, it's Auntie Gloria!" The cry now fully attracted her mother's attention, as did the tugging of the keychain. It shined in the fluorescent lighting, revealing the unmistakable form of Galar's current Champion. "Are you a big fan of Auntie Gloria?"
"Uh…sure? I guess. She is Galarian," Juliana said, not elaborating on the obviousness of her own parentage. It proved unnecessary, with Serena soon arriving to scoop her daughter up.
"Hanna, let's not bother her anymore. And stop causing trouble. You like to take after daddy that way." Hanna giggled at the comparison, pulling some of her darker locks down around her crystal eyes. From her mother's arms, she waved at Juliana, but the gesture went nearly unnoticed.
"Okay, sorry to bother! Mama, are we going to see other Pokémon?"
"Yes, long as you behave yourself," Serena said, now fully carrying her daughter out of the room. She paused at the threshold. "I look forward to working with everyone. Please be sure to take my Performing class. All are welcome."
"Yes, ma'am!"
Juliana didn't join the class in wishing her well. She instead sat back in her seat, watching the woman and her daughter depart, both with lingering eyes on her before the door closed. Mr. Jacq immediately took point, but Juliana tuned him out, her pencil idly flipping between her fingers until the bell rang, signaling the end of class.
That didn't change Juliana's demeanor, the girl simply floating along even in Ms. Tyme's math class. It was a wonder she wasn't called on in her state, but she attributed that easily to the growing excitement on campus; one she wouldn't blame anyone for. It was an almost infectious feeling, one that turned her mind away from classes and quizzes and instead to her own research, tucked away in her bag. Compared to that, any class was boring, and Quaxly thought so, too, falling asleep early on.
It was only when the bell rang, louder and longer than any point of the day, and the voice echoed across campus, that both found themselves fully alert.
"Attention to all students and faculty," the voice called, sending a pulse through the Academy that halted all movement. Many were tensed, or coiled like a spring that was about to shoot off. "We request that each student make their way to the courtyard for a special announcement. Due to this announcement, classes for the rest of the day are cancelled, so we expect full attendance."
A cheer rose and, like that, many students stampeded from the classrooms. They glutted the halls, stairways and elevator, and Juliana paid witness to it all. From that alone, all the rumors seemed true. It even stirred something inside that made her quicken her pace and hold tight to Quaxly, lest he get caught in the shuffle.
"This is gonna be a treat, I think," she told the duckling. He nodded, but had little else to say, stuck in his still rather confused world about the Academy. She didn't blame him, and ruffled his pompadour while she joined the crush of the crowd making their way down to the courtyard.
It was a rather endless journey, all things considered, but the fervor was so great it might as well have been an instant. Indeed, before Juliana knew it, she was with many of the other students in the green pasture that stretched out before that of the Academy's grounds, overlooking the rest of Mesagoza. A sea of scarlet and violet was arrayed before her, along with the various accessories that made some of the students' uniforms. The most obvious of them were the star-shaped glasses that the kids on the far end of the courtyard wore, rising with an almost heckling cheer. Juliana gave them a very wide berth, as well as the platform that had been erected. Around there was nothing but numerous faculty members, each looking nearly as excited as the students.
That excitement reached its fever pitch, enough that Juliana was almost bowled over. She easily got lost in the rest of the crowd, jockeyed this way and that until it felt like she was either near the back or right in the dead center. She couldn't be sure thanks to just how many students there were around the courtyard, enough to put that of a Galarian Gym battle to shame. The only solace that could be found was the familiar face of Arven, trying to keep distance.
"Arven! Guess that rumor wasn't that far off, after all," Juliana shouted. The older boy turned, waving her down. It didn't do much to part the crowd, but Juliana took it as the direction to squeeze through. Weaving this way and that she nearly made it, only to balk at the sight of Nemona right nearby. It put a singular pause in her step, that moment allowing her to be hit from behind.
"Watch it! We got our eyes on you, troublemaker…" sneered Des. His lackey snickered, but Juliana was already caught in a freefall, only for her bag to be gripped from behind.
"Want to be careful there." Hearing the voice for a second time that day, Juliana looked up to find the lithe hand that had grabbed her, and the warm face of Serena that it belonged to.
"Just a little trip," Juliana said. With assistance, she managed to stand and brush herself off. It took her only a second to realize what was out of place. "Um…aren't you supposed to be with the faculty?"
"To be honest, since it's my first day here as staff, I have no idea what's going on," Serena said, her admission coming with a side of scratching at her nose. "Maybe you could tell me."
"I'd love to," Nemona piped in, her hands clasped together as she tried to sidle closer. Juliana stepped away, closer to Arven, whose perplexed reaction was mixed with just a bit of disgust. "My name's Nemona, student council president, and I'd love to-"
"It's Headmaster Clavell!"
Serena offered a smile to Nemona, one that told her to talk later, her eyes turning to the stage at the announcement. Many others did the same, with the few voices that remained belonging to the relatively scant number of Team Star students that had actually shown up. Not wanting to engage any further, Juliana looked to the top of the stage, visible from where she was in the crowd.
From there, she saw the man arise. Dressed in a tailored purple suit and white pants, the headmaster of the Academy emerged for all to see. He brought with him his air of elegance and authority, emphasized by his crisp, white hair that fell along his face and the glasses that sat upon his nose. Even if it was just for the sake of the students at the Academy, Juliana would not have been surprised if the eyes of all Mesagoza, or even Paldea, were upon this moment. And once he was at the top, Headmaster Clavell cleared his throat and grabbed hold of a microphone, taking only a moment to glance at his staff.
With no further delay, he addressed the student body.
"Students of the Paldean Academy," he began, his voice rough with age, but holding strength and conviction with every word, "young and old, fledgling or veteran, I thank you for joining me and my staff here today for a very special announcement."
"Just come out with it, old man!" yelled a Team Star student, but Clavell didn't allow himself to be distracted. If anything, he slid his gaze over to wither them into obedience, showing the strength that had made him headmaster in the first place. This time, they actually obeyed him.
"He certainly has the makings of a good leader," Serena commented. Juliana was surprised she had remained with them, but she looked more invested than everyone combined. Arven cleared his throat.
"Probably one of the best. His predecessor wasn't nearly so loved. Something about internal Academy issues he was unable to resolve."
"Arven, shh!" Arven's subsequent incredulity was unmatched at Nemona's shushing, but he obeyed her all the same.
"As many of you know," Clavell picked up, as if there hadn't been an interruption, "we have a new faculty member on staff, which you've spent the morning meeting. I hope you'll show the best side of the Academy to her moving forward. And speaking of that best side…"
"Here it comes," a student whispered, followed by many more.
"Our Academy has a long-standing tradition. Some of you know this. A number of you do not. Nevertheless, it is a part of our culture here at the Paldean Academy. No matter where you come from, or what hall you're in, or your own skillset, this tradition has remained a defining feature of our prestigious hall of learning. While it is not…uncommon to uphold this tradition, there are still years that we do lapse on this most important one of all. In fact, in reviewing, it's been more than a couple years since we last did this and no doubt the rumors have circulated around the student body by those who have experienced it.
"Thus, it gives me great pleasure to announce that we are officially beginning this year's Treasure Hunt!"
"YES!"
"I knew it!"
The spike in volume attempted to drown out the headmaster's subsequent words, or perhaps he just went silent at the rowdiness that ensued. He had to have anticipated it, and indeed, he was busy stroking his chin and watching the effect his words had on the crowd, one that was growing in greater fervor. Much of it had grown to a point that even the teachers, an unusual array to see all at once, were grinning and beginning to get into the vibe. That vibe was no better expressed than by Nemona, the girl jumping up and down without a care in the world.
"Yes! Yes, I knew it!" Her fist was pumping, carried on the swell of excitement in the crowd. From even the smallest of looks in her eyes, it was clear that she was filled as always with the hunger of battle. "Ah, I'm gonna challenge all the Gyms again and fight every one taking them on! I'm gonna build a whole new team from scratch! I'm gonna be top of the world again!"
"You're already a Champion-ranked trainer, Nemona. Why would you need to take on the Gyms again?" Juliana asked, her exasperation reaching peak alongside the ambient excitement.
"There are always challenges to be had. My new partners deserve that experience, too. Pawmot will whip them all into shape, so we'll be a juggernaut." One of her Poké Balls flew high into the air, and when she caught it, there was a surprisingly wistful and more tempered expression on her face. "Need that thrill of the battle to really feel alive. How about you, Juli? Oh, please tell me you and Quaxly will take on the Gyms. You owe me so many battles! Battle class isn't enough."
"Hm." Juliana refused to commit to any of that sort of action. Gyms must have been nice and all, given the number of trainers that attempted what was called Paldea's Victory Road, but there was very little in it for her. In fact, she still wasn't sure what path she should take, even if the now open Treasure Hunt provided her with the means to do so.
"Ahem, well, not that anyone bothered to ask me, but I'm going to further my pursuit of the culinary arts," Arven said, giving a fake cough. Nemona paused for only a second to tilt her head towards Arven.
"What? Are you gonna battle Lechonk?"
"Nemona, not every treasure is battling!"
"Just saying, food is a weird treasure, Arven," Nemona slung her hands behind her head now, staring up at the beautiful blue sky. "Now the accolade and notice at the end of Victory Road. That's worthy."
"Battle junkie," Arven said, coupling it with the quite-mature response of sticking his tongue out at her. When she didn't respond to it, he sighed, putting a hand inside his pocket and fiddling with something there. "It's not just the food. I'm looking more into legendary culinary arts: that which can heal all wounds, stimulate growth, make mysterious phenomena occur."
"What kind of phenomena?" Juliana asked, far more interested in Arven's path than Nemona's. The battle-obsessed girl showed no signs of being disheartened by that. Arven was quite the opposite, opening his mouth to answer as the sound of Serena's giggles were heard next to them.
It was Clavell who cut him off, though.
"Now, now, settle down. I'm sure you're all most excited by this, but there are some rules that yet need to be laid down," the headmaster said. His self-assured voice quickly cut across all noise, silencing everyone in the vicinity. "While this is a free-ranging exercise, and one where you are free to do as you please, there are a couple caveats that deserve mentioning. For one, this is still, at its core, a school assignment. We, the faculty, are not asking for papers to be written or tests to be taken, but we do wish to see some tangible results. A badge here, a Pokémon or egg there, something to show the earnestness with which you are approaching this monumental task, learning and growing together alongside your Pokémon and this region we live in.
"Secondly, it should go without saying that you should still attend class from time to time. While the staff will be more lenient going forward, one should not neglect their studies. Is that understood?"
"Yes, Headmaster Clavell."
The chorus of voices pleased the headmaster, who nodded his head. He cleared his throat a final time. "Then, without further ado, students of the Paldean Academy, go forth and find your treasure! Let the Treasure Hunt begin!"
That sentence was the gun going off at the start of a race. Students with clear goals in mind disappeared right away, either leaving the Academy's premises or going to fetch their Cyclizar for easy traversal. Some others lingered, lost in thought, while still others, the more explicitly brainy of the bunch, scoffed at the notion of going out in the field. To Juliana's surprise, Des and Fidel weren't among them, the pair instead brushing past people as they spoke of their own hunts.
"Ooh, here we go! Ay, amigos, let's all find our treasures and seize victory!" Nemona held her hand out, but earned nothing in response. Not unless one counted the unblinking and almost repulsed stares of Juliana and Arven. "Well, no matter. My second pass of Victory Road begins! To Artazon!"
She took off, nothing less than a whirlwind tearing through town.
Juliana watched her go, the president pushing her way through just about every other student in her path. The flash of light further down told her she'd called out her Pokémon, but Juliana only got a glimpse of the green fur. With that, Juliana filed Nemona away, grateful that her departure had brought with it a decrease in volume. As if reading thoughts, Serena began to giggle once again.
"Well, that's a nice sight, everyone shooting for their goals. You have a lovely school here."
"If you say so," Juliana said, shrugging. It might have been nice from one point of view, but none of their goals mattered all that much. Everything was a separate path leading to a separate destination.
"So, what do you have planned, Miss…?"
"I'm curious what you're thinking to do, too, Juliana," Arven said. It put her on the spot, and into an admittedly uncomfortable light. "I'm presuming you have an idea, you're always so on the go. Though if you don't have anything, I can always use a taste tester."
"Arven, I'm not about to be a glorified servant." She backed away, her revulsion at the idea evident. The older boy's face fell, his eyes scrambling for the words he meant to say, and she started to feel bad at her snapping. Perhaps he hadn't meant it that way. It made her hold Quaxly a bit tighter until the duckling broke free. "Sorry…"
"Er…yeah. Unneeded, honestly," Arven admitted, trying to laugh it off. Soon, however, his face scrunched into an expression that was equal parts confusion and fascination. "Well, that's a sight you don't see every day. Guess Penny's gotten more social since her time abroad."
"She has?" Juliana asked, turning in the direction that Arven had been looking. Serena joined them, though she was more confused than anyone else, and her own attentions were starting to be torn between these students and the faculty that were making their way back inside. All of them saw the same sight, the red-and-blue-haired Penny, stumbling past the crush of the crowd before twisting and falling on the grass. Arven hadn't been seeing things after all. With a sigh, Juliana ran the short distance, and in moments, was offering a hand to the girl. "And here I thought you hated crowds, Penny. Didn't take you for one to be interested in the Treasure Hunt."
"Treasure Hunt?" Penny asked, fixing her askew glasses. She blinked a few times, computing what she was being told. "Oh, right, that thing. No, I…I wasn't going to. My treasure is…" The girl trailed off, her eyes briefly flickering upward to look in the middle of the three of them before looking away. "I'm not taking part."
"Should've figured…" Arven's response cut deep, for Penny glowered at the ground. Just as before, he caught on to his mistake and tried to punctuate it with a good-humored laugh in the hopes of smoothing things over. "Apologies. But if you're not here for that, what are you-"
"Ahhh! It found me!"
Penny's answer was not the expected one, and nor was it the most well-timed, but it certainly made logical sense the second Juliana saw the red blur come racing around a corner of the school, booking it on his legs and aiming right for Penny and her backpack. She scrambled forward, hiding behind Juliana and gripping her shoulders. When even that looked like it was going to start proving fruitless, she moved further back, this time behind Serena.
"What kind of Pokémon is that?"
"The annoying kind," Juliana and Arven both stated. Only Juliana stepped forward, though, permitting Quaxly to leave her arms and hop atop the pursuing creature's head. Juliana held her hand out. "Koraidon, stop! Now!"
"Kora?!" He pulled to a stop, sitting straight up on his hindlegs and snapping his mouth shut. Part of that was Quaxly pulling on him, but the other part was his eyes focusing on Juliana. For a moment. They soon started to drift towards Penny, his tongue snaking out of his mouth.
"You know this thing?" Penny screeched, still clinging to Serena like a drowning Litten. The woman gently unlatched her, trying to soothe her as well as she could. Penny didn't look pleased by it, soon breaking away. "All I wanted was a sandwich and this…this thing tracked me all over campus."
"Of course, he did. Bottomless stomach this one has." Juliana didn't take her eyes off Koraidon, each narrowing to slits. He noticed this, no longer putting his eyes on Penny and instead waiting with a whimpering hunger for whatever she'd say next. It made him almost endearing, if not for the broken grass and pavement he had left behind in his pursuit of food. Juliana shook her head with a laborious sigh, but leaned over to pat his head all the same. "Honestly, Koraidon, I leave you alone for a day and you go running all over the place. Please tell me you're not just interested in sandwiches…"
"Raido?" Koraidon now tilted his head, not quite understanding. She didn't understand him, either.
How he'd come to be where she found him. What had given him the wounds she had treated. What power he held that she had only briefly glimpsed. Patting him further, she found herself lost in the reverie of those thoughts. There was so much mystery surrounding this creature, to the point that even Arven, who knew of him, knew very little.
Yet in that instant, a line of connection was drawn and she slowed her patting.
"Arven, you said Koraidon was once with your parents, right…?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Who are your parents?" That was Serena's voice, but it mattered none to Juliana. Her mind was driving at a mile a minute.
The Professors Sada and Turo, foremost experts on the phenomenon of Terastallization.
The Inlet Cave, where murals depicting the crystalline event were found. Where Koraidon had landed.
And deep in that kernel of truth and connection, there were all of her parents' papers, diving deep into the very thing that remained a mystery even in modern Paldea. Juliana's eyes lifted, meeting those of Koraidon's. As they did, Clavell's words echoed, those about seeking treasure. "What are you seeking, Koraidon? Where did you really come from? How are you connected?
"Did we meet by coincidence, or some providence of fate?"
If he understood her, he never showed it. If the others heard her, they never pushed to elaborate. They only stared, save for Penny, who tried to inch away as fast as humanly possible. Juliana lowered to a whisper.
"Are you the connection to their research I'm looking for?"
"Korrra?" Koraidon remained baffled, but it didn't matter. Something was stirring inside Juliana: a deep, smoldering flame and passion that was beginning to blaze to life. After years of searching for the answers, finally, she felt she was on the threshold of searching in earnest.
"Juliana? Something on your mind?" Arven asked, drawing closer while he made sure to give Koraidon a wide berth. She blinked, drawn back to reality, and offered up a curt nod.
"Yeah: the hunt for my treasure."
"Oh, you have a goal in mind, too?" Serena asked. "You seemed so unsure before."
"No, I just wasn't sure how to take the first step, but now I am." Juliana reached up, and slapped a hand on Koraidon's scaly skin. "I'm following Koraidon. Where he came from. Where he's going. We're going to discover all of that, and along the way, we'll find the treasure that is at the heart of the crystallization that covers Paldea: we're going to solve the mystery of Terastallization!"
Serena looked clueless, something Juliana expected. For all the woman appeared to radiate wisdom, she was also utterly out of place in matters concerning Paldea. In fact, with the announcement and the subsequent silence broken only by the wind, the more Juliana felt the new teacher was out of place just in this conversation. It mollified her, embarrassed her and, for the briefest of moments, made her feel judged and wishing to return that judgment.
Serena did no such thing, except for smile.
That alone was starting to irk Juliana.
"I think it sounds like a wonderful path."
"It sounds like a dead end," Arven said, his cynical tone making far more sense that Serena's boundless optimism. The woman shrugged. "Do you even know where to start?"
"By taking a step forward," Serena said. Her interjection where it wasn't wanted was noted, but Juliana refused to snap at their new teacher. "Even if it's a dead end, it will lead to something. In the end."
"Still, Arven's right. I'd rather not waste time. I've wasted enough dallying as it is. So, Koraidon," Juliana said, pulling him a little closer, "any idea where to start?"
"Kor." That sounded like a negative, or perhaps the sound of hunger, which was matched by his sudden gurgles and groans.
"I'd imagine he'd like to start with a five-course meal," Arven filled in. He was rolling his eyes and shoving his hands in his pockets, done with the conversation. Or he was done, until his eyes lit up. "Unless…we can start on my path."
"Your path?" Juliana asked. She found she was hearing Penny's voice, too, the girl having not yet departed, but listening to the conversation and declarations with interest.
"Koraidon's into food, right? Bottomless stomach and all. And he has a connection to my parents." Arven started to look smug, parting some of his hair from the side of his face. He stepped forward, the action loud in the now empty courtyard. "So, what if he searches out the greatest food of all, the one said to have legendary, ancient origins. The food tied to the very Crater that lies before us. The one said to work miraculous phenomena. No, more than that.
"This is the food said to make Pokémon grow and transform. The food rumored by those in the culinary circles to have ties to Terastallization, itself. I'm searching for the one and the only different flavors of Herba Mystica!"
Those words appeared to suck all the air out of the courtyard. Penny's brow furrowed. Serena folded her arms. Arven posed triumphantly. Quaxly saluted.
And Koraidon sniffed at the air with a greater energy than any he'd shown yet.
There was no doubt about it: their paths were linked. The connection was drawn. There was no other way but forward on Koraidon's path to Terastallization and the mystery at the center of her parents' research.
Absorbing all of it, arriving at that conclusion, Juliana moved one step closer to Arven, and both held out their hands. It took a mere second for them to clasp tightly. Quaxly flapped to the middle to join them and pulled Koraidon with him. All of them were joined. Pact made, Juliana looked up, stoic determination flaring in her eyes.
"Well then, Arven, when do we leave?"
Author's Note: The adventure begins! Sorta! Almost. This was mostly exposition and setup for what's to come, outlining the Treasure Hunt and the paths to take. Juliana and Arven are paired up for the foreseeable future, so I hope you look forward to their interactions.
We also got to check in on Serena and the now five-year old Hanna. She's a real bundle of destructive energy, isn't she? Serena's role will be expanded on more in the future, but for now, please enjoy Juliana's adventure.
Thanks as always to the people who leave me feedback with reviews and comments. Every ounce is appreciated. So, until next time, please review/comment and, of course, Dare to Be Silly.
