The episode starts with Don narrating. "Oh my God, we are now on the threshold of hell." "Looking at the footage of the crash from the previous episode, I can indeed confirm that things don't look too good." "The golf cart made heavy contact with the wall, and the momentum launched Junior forward." "He broke through the wall head first, at a ludicrous speed of 50 mph." "Given how serious this is, I think Junior's run in this race, may have just ended."
Intro consists of a shorter version of the final countdown.
Junior was slowly opening his eyes. He saw that he was in a hospital room, and he felt that his head was hurting badly, he could barely keep his eyes open. He could see his father, and his girlfriend, standing beside his bed. "Son, are you alright?" asked Dwayne. "You gave us quite a fright back there, most of us thought you were dead" said Sanders. A doctor then stepped into the room. "Kid, i'm going to be brutally honest, your head is pretty messed up" he said. "You've got a really bad grade 4 concussion, severe skull fracture, and you've popped a lot of veins and blood vessels." "We just finished operating on you, and we can indeed confirm, that you're not going to make a full recovery any time soon." "Kid, you had a good run while it lasted, but the damage is done." "If you take another hit like that in your current condition, you will die." "Your chances of winning the competition are over, you need to go home and get some rest." Upon hearing these words, Junior couldn't believe it was ending like this. If he never had the vision about his dead sister, he wouldn't have come back for season 2. He wanted to make his sister proud, and he had completely let her down.
Back at the golf course, everyone was talking about the danger Junior was in. "I know a lot of you don't want to hear it, but Junior's chances of living are less than 10 percent" said Ellody. "Not many people can survive hitting a brick wall at 50 mph" said Mary.
(Confession cam- The odds are low)
Miles- "Look, I really don't give a crap if Junior doesn't want me as his failsafe." "But I still don't see any way of stopping myself from loving him."
Harold- "I actually do have a lot of respect for Junior." "He was the only one who stood up for me, and acknowledged that i've been treated like crap." "I really hope he's going to be okay."
**End confessional**
It wasn't long before Dwayne, Junior, and Sanders had arrived back at the golf course. Junior was walking very gingerly, with really drowsy bloodshot eyes. "Oh God, this is going to be sad" said Tammy. "He's dropping out of the competition, and he simply just came back to say goodbye to us." Officer Chambers then showed up. "Okay guys, the police have finished their investigation" he said. "The shark that went after Mickey, the poison that gave Lorenzo a seizure, and the spike that popped Junior's tire." "It turns out they were all done by one person, Carson Matthew." "I can indeed confirm, that the police have apprehended him, and he's going to prison for a long time."
(Confession cam- That is a major twist)
Jay- "Serves him right, nobody hurts my brother and gets away with it."
Chet- "I can't believe that Junior's Kindergarten principal, would eventually try to kill his former student."
Sanders- "I think I know what happened with Junior in Kindergarten." "The principal knew that Junior was innocent the whole time, and didn't care." "I think he actually ordered Duncan to frame Junior." "And now he's trying to kill Junior." "That's it, this is where I draw the line."
**End confessional**
Junior's voice sounded weak, as he began the speak. "Listen Don, I want to make this clear." "Do not even think about finding me a substitute, i'm not leaving the competition." "WHAT!?" shouted everyone else. "You have got to be joking, you're going to get yourself killed" said Stephanie. "Do you not realize the danger you're putting yourself in?" asked Noah. "Oh God, I think we're unfortunately going to have the first fatality of the season" said Jen. "Listen everyone, I am fully aware of the danger I am putting myself in" said Junior. "I am also aware that I have to do this for a long time, we haven't even reached the halfway point of the competition." "But I am not the kind of person to give up." "I may be the youngest and most fragile contestant here, but that didn't stop me from being the first one to win consecutive challenges." "I'm in the first wild card position, and I still have a shot at winning this whole thing." "If I do end up dying, I won't be going down without a fight." Dwayne then got on his knees, and started crying in front of his son. "No Junior, please, don't do this" said Dwayne. "I nearly lost my only child after a rabbit attack, and I don't want to go through that same pain all over again." "You don't have to prove anything, if you want to drop out of the competition and go home, i'm more than happy to go with you." "Dad, nothing is changing my mind, i'm not going home until the competition is over" said Junior. "Which is the smartest decision he's ever made" said Sanders. Everybody then stared at Sanders, shocked. "Am I seriously the only one who believes in him?" she asked. "Competing with an injury is nothing new, I finished last season with a broken arm for crying out loud." "And look at Jay, he's got a freaking prosthetic hand, and he's not leaving." "And don't even get me started on Harold, he's had health problems all his life, and he's won half of the challenges we've had this season." She then turned to hey boyfriend. "Listen Junior, Carson Matthew was in on the whole plot to traumatize you." "I completely share the opinion you have, of wanting Duncan to die, he legitimately deserves it." "Nothing bad is going to happen to you, from here until the end, you are way stronger than you appear." "I love you Dwayne Marcus Santori ll." She then leaned in close to his face, closed her eyes, and kissed him on the lips.
(Confession cam- A supporting girlfriend)
MacArthur- "Wow, just wow, I don't think i've ever heard Sanders give a speech like that."
Dawn- "Oh no, how can Junior even think about putting himself in this much danger?"
**End confessional**
With how bad Junior was injured, there was no way Officer Chambers was going to let him continue on in the self defense classes. Junior would just spend that time sitting on the sidelines, watching some old NASCAR clips on his phone from his 80's and 90's. Tom happened so see some of these clips out of the corner of his eye, and thought to himself, "It is absolutely absurd that they didn't have pit road speed limits at one point."
(Room 12- Harold and Izzy)
Harold had just opened up a package, containing his brand new pair of glasses. His nose had finally healed, and he was able to take off his nose cast. He walked into the bathroom, pulled down his pants, and sat down on the toilet. He began thinking to himself, "Junior is putting himself in way too much danger." "The only thing he's proving about himself is how reckless he is." He was snapped out of his thoughts, as his wife stepped into the bathroom. "Been thinking about Junior?" asked Izzy. "How can I not?" asked Harold. "He's way too young to be in this much danger." "Not even I would go to the lengths he's going" replied Izzy as she was taking off her clothes. She then turned on the hot water, and got behind the shower curtain. Harold began to feel disgusted, as his wife began singing pop goes the weasel. "Couldn't you have simply just waited until I was done on the toilet?" asked Harold. "And ruin my favorite pair of green panties?" asked Izzy. "I don't think so."
(Room 16- the ice dancers)
The ice dancers heard a knock on the door, and opened it to see Junior. "Listen Josee, I want to know the truth" said Junior. "Did you help Mickey out of that maze because you were actually concerned for him, or was it a stupid publicity stunt to make yourself look good?" "I can one hundred percent guarantee, that in that exact moment right there, I saw the true error of my ways" said Josee. "That's the part that really confuses me" said Junior. "Last season the two of you didn't care about what happened to other people, but literally only 4 challenges in, you start acting nice all of a sudden." "Would both of you still be acting the way you did last year, had Mickey's injury never happened?" "It's really difficult to say, but the answer is probably no, because of you" said Jacques. "Last season when Sanders and Devin got injured, we didn't pay too much attention to it, because they were both conscious." "Your case was completely different, your rabbit attack looked far more serious, and we knew that it was bad, when we saw that we weren't awake" said Josee. "Another big factor was my crush on Jay, we were friends long before we started acting nice to people." "Mickey was always like a brother to me, so of course I couldn't just leave him there." "The answer is plain and simple, it was the adversity twins that turned us into better people" said Jacques. "Okay, with the information provided, I am now willing to believe that you two have changed for the better" said Junior. "The last thing that I want to say, is that there is a major difference between having a crush on someone, and being in love with them."
(Confession cam- The difference is larger than you think)
Josee- "Oh, I never really thought of my relationship with Jay in that way." "I certainly don't plan on breaking up with him any time soon, i'll say that much."
Junior- "I'll come out and say it, I love Kendra, she's one of the best things to ever happen to me."
**End confessional**
(Room 3- father and son)
Dwayne looked at his son's sleeping form, in absolute tears. He had already lost Sarah, and now he was about to lose Junior. As he looked down at his son, all he could see was his daughter's dead corpse, with her spine laying beside her. Instead of screaming bloody murder like he did after his dream, all he could do was cry. He couldn't bare to look at him for the rest of the night, and decided to go for a late night stroll. As he was stepping out of the room, Dawn was stepping in. She turned off the camera, and gently tapped Junior to wake him. "You know, if there was ever a time to talk to your dad about Sarah, it would be now" said Dawn. "Dawn, my head is hurting, i'm tired, my life is absolutely fucked up, nothing I say to my dad will make either of us feel better" said Junior. "Please, just leave me alone." He then buried his head under his pillow.
(Room 7- the goths)
"This has gone on far enough, we have to tell Junior about the prophecy" said Crimson. "He is not mentally ready to find out what he has to do" said Ennui. "Can't we at least tell him that we know about Sarah Santori?" asked Crimson. "We can't tell anybody anything, until we can figure out a way for Junior to kill the devil, without killing Ezekiel" said Ennui. "Okay, how about this?" asked Crimson. "We don't say anything until long after the season ends, after Noah and Emma have had their wedding, and Junior no longer has a concussion." "Okay, we'll do that" said Ennui.
Dwayne was outside, looking up at the moon, and while he wasn't saying anything, this was what was going through his mind. "Lord, i apologize for what I said in the hospital last year." "I am absolutely praying to you, absolutely begging you, to not let anything bad happen to my son." "I've lost one child, I don't want to lose the other." "Please, don't let him get hurt." "If he dies, my life will be ruined."
As they were on the bus to the next state the following morning, Dwayne was still silently praying for his son's safety. When they got off the bus, they found themselves in a desert town. "Okay everyone, we are in the state of Montana, the state with an incredibly large population of livestock" said Don. "For this challenge, you're going to be acting as if you were on a ranch." "There are about 36 cows throughout this town, one for each of you." "The first one to find and successfully lasso one, will win the challenge."
Once Don gave the signal, everybody ran into the town to find and lasso the cattle. There was an obstacle that Jay was having trouble overcoming. His lactose intolerance was so bad, his stomach would start acting up if he got anywhere near a cow. Completely unaware that he was the first one to do so, Jay successfully managed to lasso a cow. But immediately after doing that, he could feel his stomach rumbling, and something dropping into his intestine. "Uh oh, this is going to get really bad" he said. He stomach was being held tightly in one hand, while the other was tightly pushing against his butt. If he didn't get to a toilet right now, his pants were going to get messy. Jay quickly ran into the nearest outhouse, closed the door tightly, put the occupied signal in front, dropped his pants, sat down on the toilet, and felt the contents of his stomach exploding out of his butt. "OH GOD, OH MY GOD, THIS IS PAINFUL TO MY STOMACH AND MY ASS!" "I AM HAVING A REALLY SHITTY TIME, LITERALLY!"
Outside in the town, Izzy was the second one to round up one of the cows, with her husband Harold following close behind in third. Leonard got fourth, Ryan fifth, Owen sixth, Emma seventh, Kelly eighth, Noah ninth, Ennui tenth, Sanders eleventh, Chet twelfth, Crimson thirteenth, Geoff fourteenth, Dawn fifteenth, Stephanie sixteenth, Jen seventeenth, Mary eighteenth, Chris nineteenth, Laurie twentieth, MacArthur twenty first, Miles twenty second, Taylor twenty third, Tammy twenty fourth, Junior twenty fifth, Rock twenty sixth, Pete twenty seventh, Spud twenty eighth, Jacques twenty ninth, Ellody thirtieth, Tom thirty first, Gerry thirty second, Carrie thirty third, Josee thirty fourth, Dwayne thirty fifth, and Kitty thirty sixth.
Jay was holding his stomach tightly, as he continued to painfully empty himself. By the time it was finally over, his butt was still a little bit sore, and he had to be careful wiping it. He then pulled up his pants, flushed, and stepped outside where Don was waiting for him. "Oh God, I hope I never have to do anything like that again" said Jay. "So where did I finish?" "Um Jay, you were able to lasso a cow, an entire two hours before anyone else did" said Don. Jay's jaw dropped upon hearing this. He couldn't believe it. Spending most of his life as an underdog, this was the first time he actually won something. "OH MY GOD, YES HELL YES!" he shouted. "I ACTUALLY WON SOMETHING, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE!" As he was shouting, he began jumping up and down.
(Confession cam- A very happy memory)
Jay- "Oh man, this season has been rough." "My brother nearly dies twice, and then he goes completely blind." "As if that wasn't enough, I ended up losing my hand." "But finally, something good is actually happening." "I'm not an underdog anymore, i'm finally a winner." "I think it's safe to say that I finally overcame adversity." "I wouldn't mind doing some more winning, I am in the top 20 in points." "I could make the chase by getting another win, or maybe Stephanie can just finish 10 positions ahead of Junior."
**End confessional**
The podium ceremony was now happening, with Harold on the third place pedestal, and Izzy on the second place pedestal. Standing on the winners pedestal, was Jay. Jay couldn't believe this was happening. Going into the season, never once did he think he would be standing here. Don then walked up to him. "Jay, you have just won yourself, a $1000 dollar gift card to Barnes and noble" said Don. As Jay held it in his hands, he was so happy, he now knew what it felt like to get an award. Hazel then flew over, and set herself down on Jay's shoulder, and Jay began gently stroking her feathers. He was glad he had his owl to celebrate with. Josee then awkwardly came up to him. "Hey um, just to be clear, my feelings towards you are more than a crush, a really do love you" she said. "And I feel the same way about you" replied Jay. The two then shared a quick peck on the lips. "Hello everyone, you guys better not be having too much fun without me" said a voice. Everyone looked over, and saw that the voice was from Lorenzo. Chet then ran up to hug him. "It's great to have you back brother" he said. "Hey Jay, somebody wants to talk to you, i've got him on speaker" said Dawn. "Jay, congrats on the win bro." said the voice in the phone. Jay couldn't believe it, the caller on the other end, was Mickey. "Mickey, it is so nice to hear from you again" said Jay. "It's nice to speak to you again too" said Mickey. "I obviously still can't see at all, but I heard absolutely everything, and i'm happy for you." "Keep it up bro, go win this whole thing for us." Jay was still smiling, and he began to shed a few tears. "Okay Mickey, i'll do my best" he said. Don decided to turn off the camera right then and there, and end the episode on a high note.

Authors note: With this season using a NASCAR point system, I can guarantee that Junior is pulling a Davey Allison. Davey Allison had several injuries in 1992, but he still competed in every race that year. I don't think that would be allowed under today's rules, unless somebody pulls a Dale Earnhardt and doesn't have their injuries made public.
With how many sad moments we've had throughout the story, especially with what we had last chapter, Jay finally getting a win is a major breath of fresh air. That and Lorenzo is back.
As always, if you have an idea for a challenge in an upcoming state or a prize for a future challenge winner, feel free to let me know in a review.
Thank you for reading and please have a great day.
