The episode starts with Don narrating. "Last time on the race around the states, Jay and Harold decided to forget that their argument ever happened, and remain as friends." "Emma was concerned about not being able to spend time with Kitty as much as she used to, courtesy of her upcoming wedding." "But Kitty told Emma, that no matter what, they would always be sisters." "Then we went to Vermont, to saw through some massive blocks of wood, and there were awkward discussions about men in women's clothing." "By the end of the day, Brody was able to pick up his third win of the season." "The only problem, is that he is a whopping 169 points outside the top twenty, with only 7 challenges left in the chase." "Is he going to be able to close that gap, and increase his chances at coming back from a bad chest injury?" "Find out on this episode of, the race around the states."

Intro consists of a shorter version of the final countdown.

During that day's self defense class with Officer Chambers, Harold was still struggling to spar, while using only one hand. Jen had ended up knocking him over, and Harold ended up landing on his crotch. "Oops, my bad Harold" said Jen. "I am definitely going to need some ice" said Harold. "I've heard of ice helping the swelling on several body parts, but I didn't know the penis was one of them" said MacArthur. "For goodness sake MacArthur, there are a bunch of slang terms you could have used" said Officer Chambers. "Why do you have to use the medical term?"

(Confession cam- You could have said ding a ling, winky, any damn thing)

Mary- "You would not believe, the number of slang terms that there are, for the male genitalia."

Leonard- "I'm just saying, the situation would have been weirder, had she used the word dick."

**End confessional**

(Room 15- the cadets)

"I'll admit it, i'm in the wrong here, I probably shouldn't have said that" said MacArthur. "It's okay, we'll move on with our lives, and simply pretend that this never happened" said Sanders.

(Room 10- the surfers)

"I have nothing against MacArthur in the slightest, I just don't understand why you of all people have a crush on her" said Geoff. "It has heavily to do, with her personality" said Brody. Geoff stood there, completely confused. "I'm not judging you or your girlfriend, i'm just pointing out that you are way more different than you think" said Geoff.

The next morning, everyone once again got on the bus, and they came to a stop, at a road closed sign. Leonard looked out the window, and was completely confused. "I don't understand, the road looks okay to me" he said. Leonard was not the only one that was confused, several other contestants didn't know what was going on either. "I'm going to clarify, that the road is not under construction, it's just closed off so we can use it for this part of the challenge" said Don. "Although in hindsight, to clear up any confusion, I probably should have parked somewhere else." "Anyways, we are in Connecticut, the first state in the US, to ever have a speed limit, in 1901." "Given how cars couldn't go very fast back then, and considering how the roads weren't efficient as they are now, the speed limit was only 12 mph." "Now this challenge, is going to be a go kart race, along this six mile closed off road." "But here's the catch, these karts are set up, so that they can only go 12 mph." "Oh come on, if we're all going the same speed, then we can't pass anybody" said Taylor. "Actually it is possible to go faster than an automobile's top speed, you just have to draft" said Junior.

(Confession cam- Slingshot engaged)

Taylor- "I actually had to google what drafting was, I know little to nothing about the physics of a car." "The kid is only fifteen, how is he a complete genius on aerodynamics?" "And what the hell does he find interesting about modern NASCAR?" "Ever since they changed the shape of the spoiler, the racing has been complete shit."

**End confessional**

As the road was obviously not wide enough for 36 go karts, white lines were painted on the road, and the start of the race was going to be just like a Formula one start. The starting lineup was determined by where they were in points. Even though they weren't going that fast, everyone was required to wear, a closed face helmet. This made Dwayne Senior incredibly nervous, because the last time these kind of helmets were needed, Junior got seriously hurt. He then remembered what the doctor said would happen, if he took another his like that.

It wasn't long, before everyone was wearing a helmet, and were strapped into the karts. When the race began, it was a fight for real estate, as the road wasn't very wide. Several contestants accidentally got pushed off course, when someone tried to make a pass, when there wasn't that much room. Whenever somebody got off course, it was really tricky to get back on, due to these karts not being designed for off roading.

Not many contestants knew everything there was to know about drafting, so when they were doing just that, it was by accident. They would end up on someone else's rear bumper, and the two of them would go just a little bit faster, for a short amount of time. Chris was driving like a complete maniac, intentionally slamming into other contestants, to try and knock them off course.

It was at this moment, where the father and son duo, decided to work together. Dwayne locked onto Junior's rear bumper, and began giving his son a push. Chris was almost at the finish line, and he began to panic when he saw that Dwayne and Junior, were passing him on his right. Upon seeing this, Chris turned directly to the right, and slammed into both of them. Dwayne only lost a little bit of speed, while Junior completely spun out, and got stuck in the dirt. It was because of this rough driving, that Chris was able to beat Dwayne to the line. Lorenzo eventually crossed the line behind them in third, Chet in fourth, Brody fifth, Ryan sixth, Kelly seventh, Crimson eighth, Laurie ninth, Leonard tenth, Taylor eleventh, Sanders twelfth, Kitty thirteenth, Harold fourteenth, and Jay fifteenth. At this point, Junior finally got back on the road, and crossed the line in sixteenth. Geoff followed behind in seventeenth, MacArthur eighteenth, Rock nineteenth, Spud twentieth, Miles twenty first, Pete twenty second, Jacques twenty third, Ennui twenty fourth, Owen twenty fifth, Ellody twenty sixth, Mary twenty seventh, Stephanie twenty eighth, Tammy twenty ninth, Noah thirtieth, Tom thirty first, Gerry thirty second, Carry thirty third, Josee thirty fourth, Jen thirty fifth, and Emma thirty sixth.

(Confession cam- This ain't asphalt son, this is dirt)

Spud- "To make sure I don't forget i'm out of the running for the million, i'm writing it down on a piece of paper."

Dwayne- "What the hell does he think he's doing?" "My son is already badly injured, he could have died."

Chris- "With how far back I am in points, there was no other option." "Any other contestant would have done the same thing." "If that kid dies, then it's his own fault, for getting in the way."

**End confessional**

The podium ceremony was now happening. Lorenzo was on the third place pedestal, Dwayne was on the second place pedestal, and Chris was on the winners pedestal. Before Don even had a chance to say what the prize was, Dwayne roughly elbowed Chris off the pedestal, and Chris fell to the ground. When he got back onto his feet, his mouth was bleeding a small amount, and he was missing a tooth. "That was for trying to hurt my son you bastard" said Dwayne. He then stuck his middle finger in the air, and walked away. "You're going to pay for that one Santori" Chris called out to him. "Do you have any idea, how much I hate you?" asked Don. "I would have been a better choice for the host of Total drama, because unlike you, i'm not a complete asshole." Don then aggressively rolled Chris' prize into him, knocking him over. This time Chris got up without injury. The prize was a used Formula one tire, signed by Lewis Hamilton. The screen then went black.

Authors note: Most go karts aren't built for asphalt, or dirt. The tires just can't get enough grip.

What Taylor is referring to regarding the spoiler change, is when NASCAR introduced the car of tomorrow, and replace the regular spoiler with a winged one. A lot of people think that this was the point where NASCAR started going downhill.
