The episode starts with Don narrating. "Last time on the race around the states, before we got into the challenge, I was rudely interrupted by my mother." "Trust me, you don't want to know." "The challenge was to get wooden fossils from ice, which brought back some bad memories for Dwayne Senior." "Crimson was able to get her fossil out first, and if she knew it was going to be this easy last season, she and Ennui probably would not have gone through the feast." "At the same time, Jacques fell out of the running, while Chet was able to clinch a spot in the chase." "With only three challenges left in the regular season, how desperate are these guys going to get?" "Find out on this episode of, the race around the states."

During that day's self defense class, Harold was really rough with his punches. He was still pissed that Duncan had survived his near death experience, and he hit a punching bag so hard, that it broke off from the chain that was holding it.

(Room 7- the goths)

"Are you sure you don't want to be a prospector?" asked Ennui emotionlessly. "I'm positive, i'd rather be a farmer" said Crimson in the same tone. "Yeah, then you'd have your own goat" said Ennui.

(Room 2- the stepbrothers)

Lorenzo got back to the hotel room later than expected. "What took you so long?" asked Chet. "I was playing poker with Jen" said Lorenzo. "I thought that date with her was a one time thing" said Chet. "That was before I found out she had a good hand" said Lorenzo. "So are you two a thing now?" asked Chet. "Dear God no, we don't think of each other like that" said Lorenzo.

(Room 1- the fashion bloggers)

"Are you two really each others type?" asked Tom. "Not really, we only see each other as friends" said Jen. "Well, at least people don't think the two of us are dating anymore" said Tom.

(Room 16- the ice dancers)

"What are the chances we have four snow related challenges in a row?" asked Jacques. "I'd say it's 50/50, either we will, or we won't" said Josee.

(Confession cam- interesting odds)

Jacques- "I wonder what Don would be doing if he wasn't a reality show host." "Maybe a game show host, who knows?"

Josee- "He's not getting paid enough for this job."

(Room 12- Harold and Carrie)

Harold and Carrie were woken up when they heard a knock on the door. Harold answered it, to see MacArthur. "Harold, this is urgent, I need to talk to you in private" said MacArthur. The two then walked into the bathroom, where there were no cameras. "Even though I never saw anything, I know that you tried to murder Duncan" said MacArthur. Harold was completely shocked at what he was hearing. "What the hell are you talking about?" he asked. "Prior to the evacuation process, you were the only one who wasn't present" said MacArthur. "I'm pretty sure you were looking for Duncan, so you could finally get revenge." "No, I was going for a walk, and he approached me" said Harold. "He was the first person to attack, I was simply using self defense." "But I won't deny it, I was definitely trying to kill him." "Alright alright, I just wanted to make sure, we don't have to reveal this to anyone else" said MacArthur.

(Room 4- the sisters)

Emma was about to leave the room, but Kitty quickly stopped her. "I know what you're about to do, you're going to wake Junior up in the middle of the night just to question him" said Kitty. "Kitty, he obviously knows something we don't" said Emma. "If he simply just tells me what's bothering him, I can help." "You obviously don't get it, he doesn't want your help" said Kitty. "What's happening with him, is his own business." "If you keep pissing him off like this, he's not going to want to come to your wedding."

(Confession cam- Mind your own beeswax)

Kitty- "Don't get me wrong, I am still really concerned for Junior." "But he shouldn't be forced to give answers, he can talk about it when he feels like it."

Emma- "As much as I hate to admit it, Kitty is right." "I shouldn't involve myself with things that have nothing to do with me." "But I am still very concerned, he can't continue to live like this."

*End confessional**

Everyone then got on the bus the next morning, and they got off in front of a farm. "We are in Nebraska, the state famous for it's corn" said Don. "This one is going to be quick and simple, in front of you will be ten ears of corns." "The first contestant to shuck 10, will be the winner." "Are we allowed to eat the corn when we are done?" asked Owen. "It's up to you, but I don't like my corn raw, I prefer it cooked" said Don.

(Confession cam- I'm hungry)

Kelly- "I like mine served in a salad."

Gerry- "Ah corn, a key ingredient in beer."

The challenge soon began, and it wasn't nearly as eventful as the other ones, as it went by so fast. It was a very close finish, but Lorenzo was barely able to shuck 10 ears before anyone else. Sanders finished right behind him, Dwayne got third, Owen fourth, Kelly fifth, Jay sixth, Geoff seventh, Laurie eighth, Chris ninth, Junior tenth, Stephanie eleventh, Brody twelfth, Mary thirteenth, Taylor fourteenth, Chet fifteenth, Tammy sixteenth, Miles seventeenth, Rock eighteenth, Leonard nineteenth, Jacques twentieth, Pete twenty first, Harold twenty second, Kitty twenty third, Ellody twenty fourth, Spud twenty fifth, Ennui twenty sixth, MacArthur twenty seventh, Tom twenty eighth, Emma twenty ninth, Jen thirtieth, Gerry thirty first, Noah thirty second, Carrie thirty third, Josee thirty fourth, Ryan thirty fifth, and Crimson thirty sixth.

Mary- "Huh, despite my intelligence, I was unable to remain eligible to win the whole thing." "Oh well."

MacArthur- "Well, there goes my chance at a million dollars." "I thought i'd be in the thick of it, given how far I made it last season."

Lorenzo- "Hah, suck it Chet, I was able to get a win before you." "Now, I just need one more, along with making up 26 points on Noah."

**End confessional**

The podium ceremony was now happening. Dwayne was standing on the third place pedestal, Sanders was on the second place pedestal, and Lorenzo was on the winners pedestal. As the ceremony was going on, Hazel flew in, and began nibbling on one of the corn ears. "Well Lorenzo, I am proud to announce, that you are now the owner of the first three seasons of Spongebob Squarepants on DVD" said Don. "Hell yeah, that was back when Spongebob was actually good" said Lorenzo. "They really should have ended the show after the movie" said Rock. Don then turned to face the camera. "This is it, there are only two challenges left in the regular season." "How much more intense can it get?" "Find out on the next episode of, the race around the states."

Although the stepbrothers are finally accepting each other is family, the fact that they still have a massive rivalry, cannot be ignored.
