The episode starts with Don narrating. "Last time on the race around the states, MacArthur wanted to speak to Harold in private, for reasons unknown." "The ice dancers pointed out how I don't get paid enough, they hit the nail on the head." "After that we went to Nebraska to shuck corn, and it didn't take long for Lorenzo to get his first win of the season." "At the same time, Mary and MacArthur kissed their chances of winning goodbye." "This is it, only two challenges in the regular season left before the chase." "Who is going to put themselves in a comfortable position before the regular season finale?" "Find out on this episode of, the race around the states."
Intro consists of a shorter version of the final countdown.
Self defense class with Officer Chambers had just ended, and Jay had just sat down on a nearby bench, and was now petting Hazel. Brody sat down right next to him. "How are you so much better than us at self defense?" he asked. "It's because i've got a teammate on the bench cheering me on" said Jay. "He then gestured towards his owl. "I'm thinking that we should double date, you and Josee along with me and MacArthur" said Brody.
2 Hours later
"Well that couldn't have gone any worse" said Jay. Jay, Josee, MacArthur, and Brody had just stepped out of a mini gold course. "I wish they had told us ahead of time that the penalty for hitting golf balls into the water resulted in them getting thrown at us" said MacArthur. "I don't know why the hell a golf course would even have that policy" said Josee.
(Room 1- the fashion bloggers)
Tom, Jen, and Lorenzo were playing poker. "And I have just won again, time to pay up" said Jen. Tom and Lorenzo then handed Jen eight AA batteries apiece.
(Room 15- the cadets)
"Let me get this straight" said Sanders. "They threw golf balls at you, and you didn't call the police?" "What do you mean call the police?" asked MacArthur. "We are the police."
(Confession cam- Don't even try bothering with that logic)
Sanders- "Do you guys remember that unjustified ticket she gave me last season?" "Yeah, she still hasn't paid me back."
MacArthur- "In hindsight, I probably should have cuffed those guys at the golf course."
**End confessional**
(Room 2- the stepbrothers)
"Seriously dude, gambling with batteries?" asked Chet. "I couldn't think of anything better, if we gambled with cash we'd be arrested" said Lorenzo. "How the hell were you and Jen able to convince Tom to join you?" asked Chet. "He had nothing else to do" said Lorenzo. "I'm surprised you even gave him an invitation, I thought you and Jen wanted some private time" said Chet. "Damnit Chet, i've told you a million times, we don't think of each other that way" said Lorenzo.
(Room 5- the geniuses)
"Do you think we're smart enough to become scientists?" asked Ellody. "I'd say our chances are about 76.35%" said Mary. "I don't know, anything less than 80.02 is highly doubtful" said Ellody.
(Room 16- the ice dancers)
"I'm not going mini golfing again, any time soon" said Josee. "At least it wasn't an eight ball thrown at you, I still remember playing pool for the first time" said Jacques.
(Confession cam- Don't count on it)
Josee- "The most simplest of games, for some odd reason, has to involve things being thrown at you."
**End confessional**
The next morning, everyone got on the bus as per usual, and they got off in front of a body of water. "This is Mississippi, home of the Mississippi river, and the state that has the name that's mentioned in between numbers when somebody counts" said Don. "For this challenge, you guys are going to have one hour to build a wooden raft, before you sail across to the other side." "First one to reach the other end wins the challenge."
(Confession cam- Don't rock the boat)
Harold- "Okay, the part of the river that we are at right now, is only one mile long." "Trust me, it's longer than you think it is, it's four times longer in length than a soccer field."
Pete- "Thank God, we are using wood instead of bamboo."
Laurie- "It pisses me off, the amount of trash thrown into rivers across the country."
**End confessional**
The raft construction consisted of the loud noise of power-tools, along with saw dust ending up on the ground courtesy of the wood cutting. "How did Noah build a massive ark back in the day without modern day tools?" asked Ryan. "I don't remember doing that" said Noah. "I think he was referring to the Noah in the bible" said Kelly.
(Confession cam- Good Lord)
Noah- "I don't know if I was named after that guy or not, I now know what i'm going to ask my parents the next time I see them."
Leonard- "Parents will name their children after anything these days."
Jay- "Unlike pets, I wouldn't recommend naming your kid after a tree."
*End confessional**
After the hour expired, the race to the other side of the river was on. Chris was playing dirty as usual, and he kept trying to slam the other contestants out of the way. Coming to the other side of the river, he hit Brody's raft hard, and badly damaged it. Brody was still able to beat Chris to the line, just before his raft came apart. Harold ended up crossing the line in third, Noah fourth, Lorenzo fifth, Chet sixth, Laurie seventh, Ennui eighth, Taylor ninth, Jay tenth, Kitty eleventh, Tammy twelfth, Jen thirteenth, Crimson fourteenth, Junior fifteenth, Stephanie sixteenth, Leonard seventeenth, MacArthur eighteenth, Jacques nineteenth, Geoff twentieth, Spud twenty first, Miles twenty second, Sanders twenty third, Pete twenty fourth, Ellody twenty fifth, Rock twenty sixth, Tom twenty seventh, Kelly twenty eighth, Gerry twenty ninth, Ryan thirtieth, Dwayne thirty first, Josee thirty second, Emma thirty third, Mary thirty fourth, Carrie thirty fifth, and Owen thirty sixth.
(Confession cam- Not as sturdy as you think)
Chris- "God Damnit."
Brody- "Oh man, that was a close one."
Stephanie- "Damnit, there goes my shot at winning the whole thing." "Ugh, well at least now I know better than to underestimate Ryan."
Jen- "The most important thing is that I tried hard."
Tammy- "Well, it seems as though Leonard out dueled me straight up."
Geoff- "Dang, I didn't even come close to winning two seasons in a row."
Ennui- "It's a shame I won't make the chase, I sure hope Crimson doesn't join me."
Leonard- "And people say that magic isn't real, i've been casting spells all season, and it just got me into the chase."
Laurie- "The power of nature is strong, it has propelled me into the chase."
**End confessional**
The podium ceremony was now happening. Harold was on the third place pedestal, Chris was on the second place pedestal, and Brody was on the winners pedestal. Chris was clearly pissed off at Brody for beating him, and was giving him the death stare. "Brody, that was a close on, you barely made it" said Don. "You have just got yourself a sweet four wheel dirt bike, along with a helmet." He then turned towards the camera. "It all comes down to this, there is only one challenge left in the regular season." "Which contestants are going to make the chase?" "Find out next time on, the race around the states."

Authors note: A soccer field is about a quarter mile long, thus making 1 mile four times that length.
In the old days before modern tools were invented, building things was a pain in the ass.
