The episode starts with Don narrating. "Last time on the race around the states, Junior's mother was trying to convince his son to quit before something really bad happened, but he would not comply." "He and Sanders then signed a deal to have Hershey as a sponsor for the rest of the competition." "In the mail, he received robots, named after one of the most iconic families in racing." "But for some reason, one of them could only speak Italian." "Oh and Paul, who apparently was sent from Pennsylvania to recruit Junior and Sanders, is now tagging along to make sure there aren't any contract violations." "Oh, and Chet is now partnered with Doritos." "How will these new faces get along with the contestants?" "Find out on this episode of, the race around the states."
Intro consists of a shorter version of the final countdown.
It was morning, and Paul had just finished shooting Junior and Sanders for a Hershey commercial. "So when does this commercial start airing?" asked Sanders. "If we're lucky enough, it will only take about six days" said Paul. Richard then walked up, and babbled something in Italian. "Sorry, I only speak English" said Paul. Richard then wrote it down on a piece of paper. This is what written: Now that you're done with the commercial, can I borrow your green screen? I'm making a Youtube poop of Bob the builder. "Only if you promise to have at least one Spa-Dinner reference" said Paul. "If that is your favorite meme, you have no taste" said Junior. "The Mama Luigi one is funnier."
Rock met up with Taylor in the cargo area. "After the challenge, are you up for dinner?" asked Rock. "Dude, I eat dinner every day" said Taylor. "No, I meant with me" said Rock. "Have you not been paying attention?" asked Taylor. "You also eat dinner ever day, unless you are implying that you can go long amounts of time without eating." "No, I mean the two of us having dinner, in private" said Rock. "Is this a meeting to discuss strategy?" asked Taylor. "Because I don't need help in this competition." "Ok, now you are just starting to piss me off, goodbye, and sorry for wasting your time" said Rock. And he walked away. "What's his problem?" asked Taylor. Lee then walked up to her, and answer the question. "How do you not get it?" "He is asking you out on a date." "Oh my God" said Taylor shocked.
Confession cam- Facepalm)
Taylor- "A guy who actually wants to ask me out on a date, who doesn't make a perverted comment about how sexy I am?" "This is a first."

Everyone was now on back on the mainland, and they were led to a railway station. Sitting on the tracks, was Union Pacific 844. "What's wrong with the bus this time?" asked Gerry. "It is currently being borrowed by the Oriels" said Don.
About halfway to the destination, the sound of ripping metal could be heard. The driver applied the brakes, and the train came to a stop, with sparks flying. Everyone got out, to see what was going on. "Ah crap, there goes one of the cylinders" said the driver. Everyone saw that the right side cylinder of the locomotive, was now in pieces. "We're gonna have to call for help" said the fireman. "Why can't we just finish the journey on one cylinder?" asked the conductor. "Isn't that against regulation?" asked Don. "Well, it's better a few hours behind schedule than a few days" said the driver.
As expected, they didn't arrive until the sun had completely gone down, making it dark out. The contestants were then led to a trail in a nearby forest. "We are now on the C&O canal trail in Maryland" said Don. "The starting line is right here, and the finish line comes up in about three miles, at the end of the river bridge." "The first contestant to cross the finish line, will win the challenge."
Everyone was soon lined up and ready to go. As per usual when competing during nighttime, they all had head lamps. "ON YOUR MARK, GET SET, GO!" shouted Don. Everyone then took off. Chris pulled out to an early lead, with Jay close behind in second. Jay was about to take the lead away, before Chris shoved him to the ground. Everyone than ran right past him. Jay quickly got up, took off, and reclaimed second place within about a minute. Now he was dead set on catching Chris.
As the race continued on, the contestants began to get spread out. Tom was running with Noah and Leonard. "How the hell is this show still able to afford to rent expensive steam trains?" asked Tom. "I thought it was called steam locomotive?" asked Noah. "Aren't they the same thing?" asked Leonard.
(Confession cam- there is a difference)
Noah- "Honestly, it's expensive to even rent an empty freight car."

Jen was with Junior and Kitty. "Dude, slow down, you are going to throw up again" said Jen. "No, I need to keep going, as soon as this challenge is over i'll head straight to bed" said Junior. "Do me and Emma have to carry you again?" asked Kitty. "No, I can make it under my own power" said Junior.

Kitty- "Oh my God, just send him to a psychiatrist already."

Lorenzo was with Jacques. "Okay, i'm not going to push the issue, i'm done accusing you and Jen of being a thing." said Jacques. "Thank God, one down 33 to go" said Lorenzo. "But hypothetically, if she asked you to be her boyfriend, would you say yes?" asked Jacques. "Dude, mind your own freaking business" said Lorenzo. "I'm not constantly reminding you about the love triangle you have with Jay and Josee." "It's not a love triangle anymore, I lost interest in Josee" said Jacques.
Chet was with Tammy and Kelly. "Thank god, no full moon, that means no werewolves" said Tammy. "They don't exist you idiot" said Chet. "If they did exist, this competition wouldn't be happening" said Kelly.

Kelly- "There would be now show, because we'd all be dead."

Dwayne was with Pete and Ellody. "I hate to be the one to break this to you, but your son only has a five percent chance of making it out of this alive, and it decreases every day" said Ellody. "Five percent is not zero, he still might live" said Pete.

Dwayne- "It's bad enough that he doesn't want to talk to his own father about what's bothering him."

Emma was with MacArthur and Ennui. "Why do you still wear your police uniform when you're off duty?" asked Emma. "In case I see a crime being committed and I have to step into action" said MacArthur.
(Confession cam- Hands in the air sucker)
Ennui- "Liar, the real reason is so she can walk into a Krispy Kreme and get free donuts, just like all the other cops."

Mary was talking to Taylor about the interaction she had with Rock earlier. "It may sound weird, but not all guys are perverted pigs" said Mary. "In fact, it's possible for a female to be a pervert, as demonstrated with what Harold had to put up with." "Wow, I certainly hope that Rock actually has feelings for me, I don't want it to be a repeat of my last boyfriend" said Taylor.
Stephanie was with Carrie and Gerry. "How much is the Miller brewing company paying you?" asked Stephanie. "I'm not allowed to say, that would be a contract violation" said Gerry.
(Confession cam- Now how am I supposed to drive to Charlotte?)
Carrie- "What's weird, is that we have yet to see him in a Miller Lite commercial."

Ryan was with Zoey and Harold. It was clearly obvious that Harold was still struggling with his heart palpitations, as he was red in the face. "Ryan, i'm not letting you run away with this, i'm going to get my lead back" wheezed Harold. "Not if your heart rate has anything to say about it" said Ryan.
(Confession cam- Beating like a drum)
Zoey- "While I don't doubt that Harold is very talented, I can't deny that there are instances where his health problems hold him back." "One wrong move, and he might not make it to London." "If he wants to win this whole thing, he has to be more conservative."

Crimson was talking to Geoff about something serious. "Do you think i'm an asshole?" asked Geoff. "No, but you have made some questionable choices in your life" replied Crimson emotionlessly. "If something really bad were to happen to Harold, you shouldn't blame yourself."
Owen was with Sanders and Josee. "I'm jealous of you, you get to be partnered with a company that makes chocolate" said Owen. "Have you ever been to their park in Pennsylvania?" asked Sanders. "Trust me, it's a lot of fun."

Josee- "I don't know for a fact, but I think that chocolate by itself with nothing added, is actually good for you." "The reason why it's considered junk food, is because of all the things candy companies add to it to make it unhealthy."

The rockers were discussing the interaction that Rock had with Taylor. "I shouldn't have wasted my time with her, she wouldn't be interested even if she knew what I was talking about" said Rock. "You should try again, and this time actually say the word date" said Spud.
The vegans were discussing the feelings Miles had towards Junior. "If you really do love him, you won't question his decision to continue on in the competition" said Laurie. "I just can't ignore the pain he is willingly giving himself, he can't go on like this" said Miles.

Miles- "God, I am on my knees begging." "Please, stop making him suffer, end this madness."

Chris, who had bean leading most of the race, had victory in his sight. The bridge was just ahead of him. But Jay was closing in on him, and hadn't forgotten about being knocked over. With a sudden burst of speed, he ran up to Chris, and elbowed him hard just before the bridge. Chris ended up falling in the water, while Jay ran across the bridge, and won the race. The rest of the contestants soon arrived with Chet finishing in second, Tammy in third, Kelly fourth, Harold fifth, Ryan sixth, Zoey seventh, Josee eighth, Owen ninth, Sanders tenth, Kitty eleventh, Jen twelfth, Junior thirteenth, Emma fourteenth, MacArthur fifteenth, Ennui sixteenth, Mary seventeenth, Taylor eighteenth, Laurie nineteenth, Miles twentieth, Crimson twenty first, Geoff twenty second, Lorenzo twenty third, Jacques twenty fourth, Rock twenty fifth, Spud twenty sixth, Dwayne twenty seventh, Pete twenty eighth, Ellody twenty ninth, Gerry thirtieth, Carrie thirty first, Stephanie thirty second, Tom thirty third, Noah thirty fourth, and Leonard thirty fifth.

The podium ceremony was now happening. Tammy was on the third place pedestal, Chet was on the second place pedestal, and Jay was on the winners pedestal. Hazel then flew up to Jay, and landed on his shoulder. While this was happening, Chris finally showed up, soaking wet and covered in mud. "That asshole deserves what he gets, what goes around comes around" said Harold. Don then walked up to the podium. "Damn Jay, that was a badass move you pulled on Chris" he said. "You have just won yourself a shovel that was used in the movie holes, signed by Shia LaBeouf." He then turned towards the camera. "Only eight challenges remain." "Will Ryan be able to keep his point lead?" "Find out next time on, the race around the states."

Authors note: If a cylinder breaks on a steam engine, a lot of metal has to be removed for it to keep going. You may have to take out the entire valve gear.
I think Spa-Dinner is not outdated in the slightest, and I wish it was in more YTP's.
