The episode starts with Don narrating. "Last time on the race around the states, with Brody fully healed, this meant it was time for Zoey to leave." "Before she did, she told Junior that even if he wasn't injured, he still wouldn't be able to compete, due to how emotionally damaged he is." "Then for once, Taylor did something completely selfless." "She nominated Jay to be the new self defense teacher, claiming him to be the most athletic contestant on the show." "And Jay did not disappoint, proving himself to be better than Officer Chambers." "We then went to the state of Oregon to do some fishing, where Dwayne got his third consecutive win." "Harold continued to struggle, falling even further back in points." "We are now halfway through the chase." "With only five challenges left in the season, points wise, the top three contestants are within one challenge of each other, with Kelly in the lead." "Is that going to change after the next challenge?" "Find out on this episode of, the race around the states."
Intro consists of a shorter version of the final countdown.
In only his second class as self defense teacher, Jay was beginning to make things difficult. "While it isn't very likely, someday, you might be in the same position i'm currently in" he said. "In the unlikely event where you have to live the rest of your life with a prosthetic hand, that hand must only be used as a last resort." "Today, you guys are going to practice sparring, but you may only use one of your hands." This turned out to be easier than expected. But after the class, Jay clarified that it was harder than it seemed. "You have to take into consideration, that in a real fight, your opponent is going to be able to use both hands" he said. "For tomorrow's class, we're going to split you guys into pairs." "One person will be using both hands, the other will only be using one."
(Confession cam- Let's give him a big hand)
MacArthur- "You can be sure, that what i've learned from him so far, will definitely help me when i'm on duty."

(Room 12- Harold and Carrie)
"If i'm being 100% honest, if Izzy never confessed that she loved me, I would have checked myself into a mental hospital" said Harold. "What would lead you to want to do something like that?" asked Carrie. "Suicidal reasons, I thought that nobody cared about me" said Harold. "When I first signed up for Total drama, I had no way of knowing I would meet the person I would spend the rest of my life with."
(Room 11 mother and daughter)
"When we get home after this entire competition ends, i'm going to paint our entire house" said Taylor. "I thought you were against doing manual labor" said Kelly. "That was back when I was an asshole" said Taylor.
(Confession cam- AITA)
Taylor- "Yeah, I have made a lot of stupid decisions throughout my life." "What the hell does Rock see in me?"
**End confessional**
(Room 3- father and son)
"You don't want to admit it, but you know that Zoey is right" said Dwayne. "You've been messed up, long before your concussion happened." "Son, whatever is bothering you, you can tell me about it." Junior responded by burying himself under his bed sheets. "Junior please, I just want to help" said Dwayne. "You aren't helping, you are doing the exact opposite" said Junior. "I have a legit shot at winning this whole competition, and my own flesh and blood doesn't support me." "What kind of father would I be, if I supported my son's decision to kill himself?" asked Dwayne. "Dad, is isn't suicide" said Junior. "I know my chances are slim, but I just can't stop after making it this far" said Junior.
The next morning, everyone got on the bus as per usual, and got off in front of a mountain. "Welcome to Arkansas, this state is known for having a lot of mountain trails that people ride their bikes on" said Don. "I must warn you, this challenge is going to be one of the more difficult ones." "You guys are going to get on bicycles, and ride across this 10 mile trail, from one side of the mountain to the other." "The terrain is very rough, with several sharp turns, and many areas where you have to go up and down hills." "The first contestant to complete the trail, will win the challenge."
All of the contestants soon had bike helmets on, and all of them were mounted on bikes, waiting for the race to start. Dwayne was incredibly nervous, knowing that if Junior fell off his bike at any point, he could die from the slightest touch. He shot Courtney a glare that said, "Don't fuck with my son."
When the race started, while everyone else was being conservative on the rough trail, Junior was pedaling as fast as possible. Being over an entire challenge worth of points out of the lead so late in the season, he knew that he had to go for it. The trail was incredibly bumpy, and Junior found himself shaking around a lot, which made him feel very nauseous. It was especially bad, when he was going downhill at high speeds. Eventually, he couldn't take it anymore. He slowed down, and eventually came to a halt. He got off his bike, and began vomiting. "Junior, is that you?" asked Lee. "What are you doing here Lee?" asked Junior. "It's dangerous for you to be standing in the middle of the trail." "But we aren't on the trail, the finish line is 150 yards behind you" said Lee. Junior then looked back. "Wait, did I just win?" he asked.
Don was soon informed about what happened, and was surprised. "Dude, you just won that challenge by a landslide" he said. "It's supposed to take a long time to bike the entire trail, the other contestants aren't expected to show up for another five hours." "That was amazing, you didn't slow down once."
Five hours later, it was nightfall. Junior was hurting so bad from his concussion, that he just had to lie down. He went to his hotel room, and asked Don to wake him up in time for the podium ceremony. It wasn't long before the rest of the contestants finished the race. Emma got second, Kelly third, Chet fourth, Sanders fifth, Crimson sixth, Ryan seventh, Taylor eighth, Lorenzo ninth, Tammy tenth, Laurie eleventh, Ennui twelfth, Jen thirteenth, Courtney fourteenth, Stephanie fifteenth, MacArthur sixteenth, Owen seventeenth, Kitty eighteenth, Noah nineteenth, Jay twentieth, Miles twenty first, Jacques twenty second, Pete twenty third, Spud twenty fourth, Leonard twenty fifth, Dwayne twenty sixth, Brody twenty seventh, Ellody twenty eighth, Rock twenty ninth, Tom thirtieth, Mary thirty first, Josee thirty second, Harold thirty third, Gerry thirty fourth, Carrie thirty fifth, and Geoff thirty sixth.
(Confession cam- A true daredevil)
Dwayne- "What the hell was Junior thinking?" "I know it helped him win the challenge, but that still the dumbest thing he has ever done."
Junior- "It felt like I was constantly being stabbed."
Kelly- "Oh my God, I can't believe what i'm doing to Junior."
Harold- "I am hanging on by a thread." "One more bad finish, and my chances are gone."
**End confessional**
The podium ceremony was now happening. Kelly was on the third place pedestal, Emma was on the second place pedestal, and Junior was on the winners pedestal. "Way to go Junior, you just got yourself a Donkey Kong arcade machine" said Don. Out of nowhere, Kelly began hugging Junior. "I just want to say that i'm sorry for putting you in danger" said Kelly. "If you're talking about the incident with the golf carts, that wasn't your fault" said Junior. When the two of them let go of each other, Junior began falling in the opposite direction, and Emma quickly caught him. "Kitty, I need your help again" said Emma. "We're not going through this crap again, I can walk damnit" said Junior. Sanders arrived at the podium at the same time as Kitty. "You two don't have to trouble yourselves, I got him" said Sanders. She then picked up Junior, and began carrying him bridal style. Don then turned to face the camera. "Kelly is now leading, by an entire challenge worth of points" he said. "Will she be able to increase her lead?" "Find out next time on, the race around the states."

Authors note: While riding on a bicycle, it is next to impossible to slow down while going downhill. If you attempt to use the brake, it will probably break off at the insane speed you are going.
If you are going to ride on unstable ground, do not use a regular bicycle. Make sure you use a mountain bike specifically designed for those surfaces. And do not under any circumstances, ride without a helmet.
