Revamp/Rewrite Note: Welcome back to Nekoshou Wolf if you are returning. Welcome if you are new. This is my attempt to clean up and change a few things that bothered me in the original production of this story. Hope you enjoy the ride.

Warnings:

-I know very little of the DxD Canon. My interest in the world comes from fanon. I greatly enjoy the world and a wide range of characters. I will be taking my own liberties with the world.

-Currently, it's a single pairing but can grow to a small harem depending on how things go.

-I am VERY aware that the Nekoshou Massacre is not canon. Please do not attack me for my focus on the Nekoshou and a plot I am trying to be creative with.

.

SHOUTOUT to my amazing Beta's who helped me with this story: Plum and DragonCat.

.

I had plenty of requests from readers asking why the story was titled 'Nekoshou's Wolf' since there were no Nekoshou. The old readers know this but it builds up to that point, and I'm going slow rn cuz I'm trying to build things better. But, they had a point, so I decided to make a Prologue/Teaser for the future of the story. It's set when the MC is fifteen.

Prologue/Teaser Chapter

00000000

Mundade, Uganda.

April 2003.

"Boss!" A lone Ugandan soldier ran through a rundown military base decorated with the skulls of brutalized enemy soldiers and the Ugandan citizens who stood against the tyrannical might of its current warlord, Idi Amin.

"Boss!" The soldier came upon a set of office doors and banged on them loudly until a voice called from within.

"Enter."

The doors opened, and the soldier paled as dozens of loaded assault rifles were pointed his way.

Idi Amin, Former general and commander of the Ugandan army. Current ruler and warlord. The man nicknamed the Butcher of Uganda, a man who claimed to be lord of all the earth and sea, and a man who was constantly paranoid of being betrayed or overthrown stared back from behind a desk, smoking a cigar with an unfriendly expression.

"Explain to me why you are banging on my door before I take off your arm."

The soldier trembled and bowed his head. "Boss. We caught the man you sent us to find!"

Amin's eyes opened wide as he stood up. "The masked man? You caught him?!"

"Yes, boss! He's in the interrogation room like you commanded."

Amin laughed loudly and grabbed his beret and sunglasses. "Good! Good! No one is to touch him until I get there. Understood?!"

"Yes, boss!"

"Then go."

The soldier ran out of the office like a bat out of hell as the general smiled wide and signaled his personal guards. "Come, it's time to put an end to this so-called ghost."

The general and his unit moved through the base quickly. Clearing every hallway, even inside the base to make sure it was safe enough for the paranoid general. Everywhere they went, soldiers bowed before the feared warlord. The man wasn't known to be kind to the slightest insult, often earning his title as butcher among his own men.

But the general's bloodlust had begun to stretch too far, targeting citizens of other nations and earning himself bounties from numerous corners of the globe. However, prospective hunters soon learned he was a tough nut to crack, protected behind his army and countless military bases armed to the teeth.

Time passed, and the bounties went unclaimed. And so the clients turned elsewhere, signing contracts with those who lived in the shadows to get the job done.

And a particular shadow accepted the contract, a shadow with a reputation for closing every contract, regardless of who his target was.

A shadow symbolized by a bleached white mask with a blood-red howling wolf insignia.

The general kicked open a door and walked inside with glee, eyeing the figure inside hanging from barbed wire dug into the flesh of his arms above his head. "So, the fabled mutt has come to take my head, has he?"

His men spread around the room, ready to act at a moment's notice should the assassin try anything.

The hanging body said nothing as blood dripped down his arms. The room was thick with the scent of iron and decay from hundreds of previously torn-up bodies over the past months.

"You know, I'm a fan of your work." The general snapped his fingers at a man who quickly fetched a bag of tools. "The way you terrorize the underworld with a simple name. Always appearing and vanishing in the dark, leaving bodies in your wake without a word. It's something I can respect." A bloody apron was wrapped around Amin's body, and a machete was placed in his hand. "A predator is someone I can respect, earning their reputation in blood." The edge of the machete was set against the chest of the hanging figure. "But did you really think it would be so easy to take my head?"

The blade sliced down, drawing a trail of red that splattered blood across Amin's apron, yet the hanging figure didn't make a sound. "You think I don't have my own sources? That you could accept a contract for my life without me knowing it? I knew you were coming weeks ago! The fact that it took you so long to get here only proves the might of my army!"

His men cheered at that, shaking the metallic walls of the room that contained twenty-odd men encircling the chained figure hanging from the ceiling.

"The fabled wolf! The mercenary with hundreds of confirmed contracts! The legend whose face has never been seen! The man who was thought to be a ghost! Even he cannot kill me! Even he can bleed!"

"Amin! Amin! Amin!" His men cheered fanatically as Idi Amin raised his bloody blade in cheer.

But just then, a whisper on the wind reached the general's ears over the cheering, and he quickly waved a hand to quiet them. "So the wolf deigns to speak? Have you chosen to submit to the lord of Uganda, the master of beasts, the alpha predator who claims these lands, oh….Lupus?"

A calm, measured voice rang out through the room, seemingly uncaring of its current predicament. "It didn't take me weeks."

"What?"

"It took me hours. You we're at the bottom of my list."

The general blinked as he processed what was said and exploded in anger.

"You dare?!" A backhanded blow of the machetes pommel smashed into the hanging figures mask, cracking off a portion in a splatter of porcelain and revealing a face devoid of emotion. With hair as black as night falling over pale skin, and red eyes staring straight into the generals own.

Amin stepped back, looking in shock at the face, not because he recognized it, but because of the apparent youth behind it. "A child? Lupus is a child?!"

The general spun around and laughed while waving a hand to his men. "The renowned hunter in the dark is a child! Look, men! They sent a child to take my head? Is that the best the world can offer? Is this all-!"

The sound of screeching metal was all the warning the general had before an iron grip grasped the back of his neck and silenced his cries. The men throughout the room stopped laughing as one, frozen at the sight of their god being lifted off the ground like a chicken to a bloody arm dangling a dozen strands of torn barbed wire.

The general was turned around in his grip, coming face to face with the hunter he thought he could torture at his leisure, still hanging from a single arm without much care.

Lupus stared into his target's eyes emotionlessly as he squeezed the life from the man's lungs. "You are no god Idi Amin. You are no predator. You are a butcher, a mad hyena let off its chain. And most of all, you're my target."

Amin wheezed beneath the grip and thrashed. "I-I'll double the contract if you let-!"

A distinct crack resounded through the room as the twenty-man strong personal detail to the warlord of Uganda watched their leader's neck snap in shock before one shouted.

"The general is dead! Fire!"

The sound of twenty automatic weapons firing at once filled the room, only for the still-hanging figure's lips to pull back in a smirk as a block of C4 inside him ignited.

The resulting explosion shook not only the base but the surrounding buildings, upon one of which, a figure sat.

Idly spinning a card over a finger, the figure paused at the explosion as a set of memories hit him and caused him to smirk ever so similar to the one who just died.

Red eyes opened from beneath a bleached white mask as Lupus chuckled. 'Kill confirmed.'

He got to his feet and dusted himself off while putting away the card he was playing with into a floating book.

Spell Card #7: Clone – Create a single clone of the user with 50% of energy stores. Knowledge gained, and remaining energy will return to the original upon death. Two-hour time limit. One mile radius.

'A bit redundant for a base human target, but I'm feeling lazy today.'

Lupus stretched from beneath his shadowed cloak, revealing a figure of a grown teenager wrapped in a black form-fitting t-shirt with a holster holding a pistol to either side of his waist. 'I was just going to kill them all in the explosion, but that dick just had to call me a child. I hate when people do that.'

He shook his head and pulled out a cell phone, opening an application and typing in a message.

[Termination Contract: Idi Amin. Status: Complete.]

It took a bare few seconds before a response came back.

[Proof of kill?]

Lupus's brow twitched.

[Are you doubting me?]

Another few seconds passed before an answer came.

[Lupus, this is Diana. That was a new technician. Please wait a moment while we confirm through our own channels.]

Lupus rolled his eyes at the reply. 'Where do they find these people?'

Thankfully, he only had to wait a minute longer.

[Kill confirmed. Transferring payment now.]

[Thanks, Diana.]

[My pleasure as always, Lupus.]

A notification popped up on his phone, showing a deposit of five hundred thousand USD to his account, but Lupus ignored that as something more valuable came into effect, making him groan quietly in pleasure as a feeling of energy coursed through him.

His eyes glowed with mana as the energy settled into his core, and he put his phone away. 'I love my Sacred Gear.'

A finger tapped on his leg as a spell formation expanded beneath his feet, lighting up with mana as it built up power and took him away, vanishing from the continent of Africa to appear atop a hill in a forest a dimension away.

A forest with trees that towered high into the purple-tinted sky, currently alight with activity as hundreds of figures went about their lives in a village hidden from the world.

Figures with distinct feline features from twitching ears to swaying tails over feminine bodies.

Nekomata. A race of Yokai well known for their fierce talents. A race that occasionally birthed the rare Nekoshou, a type of feline that could bond deeper with nature in ways few others could.

The village was situated in the underworld as a pact of peace between Yokai and the new Satans who ruled the Devils. Yet, the village was separated and hidden, hiding secrets only known to few.

Lupus looked down on the village with a small smile as he lifted a hand and removed his mask, revealing the true face of the one who terrorized the human underworld so, the face of the one known simply as Hei to his friends.

His feet took him through the gates of the village, where dozens of eyes turned to his entrance and waved happily.

"Hei's back!"

"Did he bring fish?"

"I want more sake!"

"Hei! I found a great place to nap; come check it out!"

The happy calls of the villagers were like a balm to his soul, wiping away the filth he felt from the contract he just completed as he did his best to keep a neutral face and wave back calmly.

A trio of little girls was among the first to notice him, running up with the welcoming calls of the others to dive-bomb him.

"""Sneak attack!"""

Hei idly caught each of them by their scruffs and hung them under his arms like sacks of potatoes. "What did I say about yelling 'sneak attack' when you try to attack someone?"

Three swaying tails wrapped around him happily as the girls tried to bite at his limbs without success as he hardened his skin enough to resist.

"Um…not to?"

"No, he said to say it after!"

"Nuh-uh, we're supposed to make a big explosive entrance!"

Hei's brow twitched at the girls, who clearly didn't listen to any of his lectures. "Where's your mother, girls? And who gave you gunpowder again, Shi?"

"Over there!" Li pointed to the side while the other two tried to cover her mouth, Shi specifically not meeting Hei's eyes as she tried to change the subject.

"Li! Don't tell him!"

"Yeah, Li! Mom won't let us play!"

Hei flicked the other ears of the other two. "Don't shout at your sister, Ni, Shi. And thank you Li."

Li purred happily beneath his palm as he petted the girl's head, only to get watery eyes from the other two and give in until they were all happily purring.

"Did you bring us a present, Hei?"

"Yeah, yeah, you always have to bring us something when you leave!"

"It's the rules, Hei!"

"And who made that rule?"

"""We did!"""

He rolled his eyes fondly as he approached a middle-aged woman picking fruit from a stall while the girls frantically struggled to escape.

The nekomata looked over at the sound of her children and tried to withhold a laugh at the sight of the three writhing in Hei's arms, unsure whether to cling to him or try and bite him to get away before their mother saw them. "Girls. Leave Hei be and come here."

"Nuh-uh."

"Don't wanna."

"I want to play with Hei more."

"Girls."

The strict call from the motherly woman had all three going limp with sad gazes. The woman sighed in exasperation while giving Hei a fond look. "Sorry, Hei, you know how they are."

Hei shook his head and gently put the girls down. "I don't mind, Luticia." He kneeled down and patted the girl's heads. "Be good for your mother; we can play later."

"You promise?"

"Pinky promise it!"

"You gotta do it if you promise. Or you'll explode and die with blood everywhere."

A finger flicked Shi's forehead for the vivid imagination while he took out pieces of candy with his other hand. "Of course."

"""Candy!"""

The girls munched on the snack happily while running to their mother, who laughed and kissed their heads. "What do we say to Hei, girls?"

"""Thank you, Hei!"""

Luticia laughed and stepped over to give Hei an affectionate lick. "You spoil them, Hei."

Noticing the look in the woman's eyes, he simply nodded and turned away. "I know. Have a good day, Luticia."

A soft giggle left her lips as she watched him retreat with her own tail swishing. "You as well, Hei~."

The walk through the village involved a few more stops to chat with friendly felines, all asking when the next banquet would be and when he would bring out the good stuff.

But when he didn't supply an answer and simply tried to leave, it only fed their predatorial instincts to get a response.

"Hei! Tell us when!"

"We want more fish!"

"You want fish! I want booze!"

Trying to run from dozens of Nekomata locked onto you was easier said than done, and a display of acrobatics that would put the Olympics to shame took place between a sole wolf and more and more villagers as he tried to get away.

'It's not like I don't want to tell them, but they'll bankrupt me if I give in every day.' Hei thought to himself calmly while racing between branches as claws ripped into the wood with happy felines nipping at his heels.

The chase continued for a dozen minutes before a tanned hand reached out and snagged Hei's collar, hanging him limply in the air as he deadpanned at the just under eight-foot-tall woman without making a single attempt to escape.

"Hey, Ghis."

"Morning pup, you having fun?"

"Describe what you mean by fun."

"Ha! Being our favorite toy isn't fun?"

"We have different definitions of fun, big sis."

Ghislaine, leader of the village's hunting parties and a natural-born Nekoshou, barked a laugh before shooting a look at the surrounding felines. "Enough fun for now, ladies! Back to your duties."

A round of boos responded, making Ghislaine's brow raise in question. "Oh? Does someone want to go for a little hunting trip?" The cats scattered without a word under the Amazonian cat's amused eyes. "Wonder what spooked them, eh, little broth-…." Her words died out as she looked at her hand, only seeing a fluttering cloak remaining.

Her ears drooped at the sight. "Was it something I said?"

A distance away, the de-cloaked Hei stealthily moved through the trees to escape with a dry gaze. 'It took me two months to return from the last 'hunting trip,' you crazy woman.'

He made it a distance away before his body froze in place involuntarily. "Fuck me." Metallic strings wrapped around his limbs in a massive web, tied to trees in a mesh almost unseen by the human eye.

A cloaked figure appeared behind him with not a sound and licked his ear playfully. "Is that an invitation, kid? I'm afraid you're a bit fragile for me~."

Another of the village's leaders, a second natural Nekoshou, clung to his back, laughing in a way that would send shivers down the spines of hardened criminals.

"Fragile? Don't you mean vulnerable to your insane concoctions, Chloe?"

The metallic wires around them dripped with a hazy purple liquid, making the emerald-eyed feline laugh creepily as she gave him another lick and flipped away. "Maybe so~. I think you need another lesson if you want to play with me, kiddo~."

"Do we really have to do this right now?"

"If not now, when? You don't come to play in my web anymore."

"I wonder why." Hei muttered under his breath and got a cheekily smiling face pressed up against his cheek.

"What was that~?"

"Nothing, big sis."

Chloe smiled more genuinely at the title and jumped up to a tree branch. "Well~ since you asked so nicely. You're free to go if you escape the web. I won't add anything fun to it this time."

Hei felt the wires around his limbs loosen as his eyes rapidly took in the path forward. "Yet it's still poisoned."

"I said I won't 'add' anything fun. Take my mercy while I'm in a good mood, little wolf."

Hei sighed and gave in to his fate as he launched into the deadly mesh. Even though this sister sounded cruel, challenges like the current one were just a game they played together.

She would make them; he would beat them. To various degrees of difficulty and lethality.

He moved like a phantom, twisting his body to an inhuman degree at various angles to flip through the mix of seen and unseen wires. His senses were spread out as he mentally processed each step ahead as fast as he took one, and ten minutes later, he was out the other end to the applause of his watching sister and teacher.

"Good job. For a simple mesh like that, ten minutes is a good average. Although, you could have done better with not getting cut~." Chloe made a creepy face as she eyed the poisoned cuts along his arms. Cuts that, even as she watched, were turning his skin purple momentarily before long-developed antibodies fought back and returned his skin tone to normal.

"I've had a long day, sis."

"Hm…you're lucky I used a standard poison today."

"Yeah, yeah, what do you want?"

"Let me into your garden for an hour."

"Hell no. Joy glowed with unholy wrath last time I gave you permission."

Chloe shivered at the memory and looked away. "Fine, I'll give you a list."

"Keep it under ten leaves and deal."

"Boo~."

Hei waved a hand and walked away into the trees, leaving the laughing cat to find something else to occupy her time.

'That woman needs more hobbies.' He chuckled internally, remembering how she had played with him for years before. 'Or more toys. Whichever one gets her off my back.'

The rest of his trip through the woods went unmolested as he breathed in the nature-rich air of his home, walking up to a simple home between the trees.

A small, unassuming cabin covered in vines, blending into the foliage without standing out in any way.

Hei walked up to the wooden door, pushing it open quietly, and came into his home, or at least, the cover for it.

Sunlight poured in through a window in the back, illuminating a single bed against the wall, where a pair of black-furred ears twitched at his arrival.

Hazel-Gold slit eyes opened from the bed, staring across the short space into Hei's prominent red ones. A vision of beauty with long black locks draping a voluptuous figure dressed in a simple black and gold kimono locked onto him with all the force of a heat-seeking missile.

A moment of peace passed between the two before Hei reflexively ducked just as the missile lunged past the space where his body had been to crash into the foliage outside the house. "Hei~!"

The door was shut in the charging feline's face as Hei ignored the thud outside to reach for the hatch in the floor leading to his true home. "What did I tell you about sleeping in here, Kuroka?"

The named Nekoshou slipped back in through the open window and pounced on him with considerably less force, wrapping her limbs around him with a cheery giggle. "Nya, why didn't you catch me, Hei? So mean~."

"Maybe if you listened to me sometimes, I would be more affectionate."

"Lies! Nya, it took me years to train you to get you used to being touchy-feely with me."

"What training? You just latched onto me every chance you got."

"Nya, yeah, training."

Hei scoffed in amusement and pulled open the latch as he turned his head to face his girlfriend, who was resting her own head on his shoulder. "You're impossible."

"It's called beautiful, Hei."

"That's a different subject."

"But you don't deny it~, nya."

"I wouldn't lie about that."

The two smirked and leaned in, sharing a short but passionate kiss as Kuroka melded her body to his own, pressing her generous chest into his back and sending a pleasurable tingle down his spine.

He was first to pull back and pat her ass. "Come down, Kuro. I want to take a bath."

"Oh! Let's take one together!"

"Sure, sure, but get off, or we can't get inside."

"Are you calling me fat? Nya?"

"Is that what you're calling that crazy chest now?"

"Nya! Leave my girls alone. I know you love playing with them."

"That wasn't my question."

"Well, that was my answer."

"Of course it was, now shrink or hop off."

Kuroka stuck her tongue out at him and shifted in the blink of an eye into a two-tailed black cat that wrapped around his neck with a purr of delight.

Hei braced for the change of weight and idly scratched her under her chin to keep her happy while he descended the ladder with the trapdoor closing above them automatically. He stepped through a secondary shutter door at the bottom and came out into an expanded space.

Five thousand square feet of orange rocky outcroppings filled the new area, creating an optimal private training environment to let loose.

Toward the back, a steaming volcanic hot spring bubbled along next to a standalone house, oddly outfitted with modern furniture and missing an entire section of the outer wall, leaving the inside open to the rest of the space.

Kuroka changed back once Hei was inside and jumped off to walk at his side. "So, how was the contract? Nya."

Hei shrugged and started removing his shirt and gun holsters. "Pretty boring, honestly. Just some African warlord with his own private army."

"Nya, didn't you say it was a Gold-ranked contract?" Kuroka asked while shamelessly staring at his chiseled muscles, earned through years of harsh and brutal training.

Hei idly slapped away a hand playing with his abs to unbutton his belt. "Mn. That's more to do with him having an army and military-grade weapons. He was tough to get to, but he was only human."

Kuroka held a finger to her chin with a hum and dodged the discarded clothes Hei was tossing aside. "Why don't you just rank up then? The next grade is for supernatural-rated contracts, right? You're already stronger than me, so why not go for it?"

"It's not that I don't want to, but I need to fill a quota of Gold-rank contracts to earn it. And I've been distracted in recent years." He finished with a clear look at his girlfriend who flushed and stuck her tongue out at him maturely.

"Nya, I'm your favorite distraction!"

"Never said you weren't. Besides, you know I have other benefits to taking mundane contracts."

Kuroka clicked her tongue at that. "You're Sacred Gear is such bullshit."

"I know." Hei winked at her and tossed aside his briefs to walk nude into the bubbling steamy water. Groaning in relief as he stepped deeper in to enjoy the sensation of the mana-filled water washing away the grime and knitting together the minor cuts along his arms from his recent encounter.

Kuroka eyed the pink spots of bloody water before they were washed away with a hiss. "Chloe?"

Hei chuckled and waved a hand carelessly. "She's just having fun, babe."

"She's insane."

"You only say that cuz you can't escape her mazes so easily." Hei commented while floating in the water.

Kuroka stamped her foot in indignation. "I'm the cat here! How can you be more nimble than me? Nya, it's not fair!"

"Years of training."

"I've been training!"

"I have been doing it since I was four, Kuro. You have some catching up to do." Hei patiently explained with his eyes closed.

He heard Kuroka grumbling from the side but missed the gleam in her eyes. "I'll show you catching up." She mumbled and dropped her kimono, revealing a figure men would wage war over, and came up to the water's edge. "Here I come~."

"What?" Hei had a bare second to crack open an eye to see his lover dive-bombing toward him, far too late to react. "Oof!"

"Nyahaha!" She landed atop him and mounted his waist as her legs wrapped around him in an iron grip. "Caught you, Hei~."

"I didn't know I was supposed to hide." Hei grumbled and pushed her face away with a palm.

Kuroka laughed and play bit his fingers to escape and draw back in, pressing her chest against his own and looking into his eyes. "You can't hide from me. I'll chase you down forever."

Hei raised an amused brow at the girl as he gave in and steadied her body with an arm around her waist. "Forever's a long time, Kuro."

She leaned in and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Forever sounds like fun as long as it's with you~."

The two met in an embrace of lips as Kuroka's tongue shot forward to invade his mouth and met fierce resistance as he flipped them around and pressed her up against the edge of the hot spring.

Kuroka hissed in pleasure and used her tails to line up his hardened length so she could grind it between her thighs. "Hei~, come closer."

Hei kissed along the flesh of her neck and bit down on her collarbone as she moaned loudly in delight. "I'm already close, Kuro."

She pulled his head into her chest and whispered into his ear. "Nya, come~ closer~." Her thighs gripped his length in unison and drew a groan from him.

He needed no more words to understand and pulled his hips back slightly to line himself up.

Only for the distinct sound of a crunch to reach both their ears, making each perk up and stare into the mist.

"Oh, for the love of…." Hei already had an idea what it was and groaned while dropping his head onto Kuroka's shoulder.

Said feline hissed something fierce and swiped a hand into the air, sending a wave of air forward to disperse the mist, showing the pair of voyeurs to the duo.

One with blonde hair, pale skin, blue eyes, and a smug smirk.

And the other with purple hair, tanned skin, gold eyes, and an equally smug smirk.

Both were soaking nude on the other side of the springs with a floating tray of sake and a bowl of popcorn.

"Nya, having fun, brats?"

"The kids were just getting to the good part, Leone."

"Did you really want to be a voyeur, Yoru?"

"I mean, not really, but they were already there."

"How horny are you, girl?"

"I know how long it's been since you were laid, Leo. You were enjoying the show too."

"Tsk, not now; you're making me look bad in front of the brats."

Kuroka hissed something fierce and waved a fist in the air at the two. "You're both already bad looking, you old hags! Hei is mine!"

An intense bloodlust filled the air as the two older women stood up without a care for nudity.

"Oh? Them's fighting words, girlie."

"I think you need another training session for the day, kitten."

"Bring it! I gotta whole load of frustration to get out of my system!"

Hei sighed as he was stuck between a rock and a hard place as Kuroka used him as a human shield while hurling insults at the two older Nekoshou.

Yoruichi, the village's true leader, a centuries-old Nekoshou, and the third of Hei's adopted big sisters.

And Leone, the leader of the village's intelligence-gathering unit and the sister he was closest to.

"Kuro, go have fun."

"What? Nya! Let's take them, Hei~! They can't overcome the power of love."

Hei didn't even bother looking over to see Leone cracking her knuckles with a fierce grin. "No, I'm pretty sure they can. You started it, you end it." He grabbed Kuroka by the scruff of her neck and tossed her over. "I'm tired. If anyone bothers me, I'm restricting fish privileges for the day."

Yoru narrowed her eyes at the floating body of her favored human. "Well played, little wolf, well played. Are you sure you don't want to go a round with an adult woman? I can show you wonderful things~." She purred her words while running a hand over the curve of her ass and got two indignant shouts in reply.

"Hei's mine!"

"Yoru! We talked about this."

"No, you talked while panting like a horny cat. I do what I want."

"You want to go bitch?"

"Oh~? Want me to remind you why I'm the top cat around here?"

"It's on!"

The intensity ramped up between the two, and poor Kuroka finally came to her senses enough to try and retreat back to the safety of Hei's floating body, only for two hands to clasp onto her shoulders.

"Where do you think your going, kitten."

"You talked the talk; now you walk the walk, girlie."

The two older Nekoshou's eyes glowed evilly, and Kuroka trembled. "Nya! Hei! Save me!"

Hei waved a hand lazily from his position. "Have fun, babe."

Tears fell from her eyes as the poor girl was dragged away in a flash, and soon booming sounds echoed throughout the space alongside new craters and flashes of lightning.

Meanwhile, Hei floated with his eyes closed and tuned out the world, ignoring the three nude visions of beauty going at it a distance away to try and have a moment of peace.

He would be more interested, but this was a daily affair at this point.

'What even is my life at this point?' He thought back to a time long ago when all of this was a mere fantasy, when he lived alone in a cabin in the woods, living a mundane life without ever achieving anything. 'It's a long way away from that. I can't believe it's been fifteen years already.'

He reminisced about the past, thinking back to how it all started.

Back then, he was just born into a world he did not know, with a power he wasn't aware of, with a bloodline he had no knowledge of.

Back to a time when he had no idea what awaited him. Of the challenges he would face, the friends he would make, the family he would find, and the emotions he would feel toward those who fell behind.

He had no idea of the story that would unfold.

The story of Lupus, the mercenary legacy of a goddess, the underground merchant known far and wide, and the wolf adopted and loved by the Nekoshou.

The story of Hei, The Nekoshou's Wolf.

End.

AN: And now, chapter 1 starts us off back at the beginning, when Hei just started out.

Hope you enjoyed it. Let me know what you think!
