Recently, Jon Fav said that Din isn't Aragorn, and people were upset.

For me, It's ok, I don't mind.

Cuz Din as Levi from Attack on Titan and Connor from Assassin's Creed 3 would be a lot more badass :) That gave me the spark to write this chapter.

Here is that moment, inspired by the first battle of Levi vs Beast Titan scene. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Political meetings are always what Satine is good at, it was her forte.

Bo-Katan is nothing like Satine, and it's times like this that she wishes with all her heart that her sister is here. To be with her, to guide her, and to help her restore Mandalore. How was she able to lead Mandalore on her own back then is something she still doesn't understand. Looking back now, she had to give her credit for how she was able to lead while keeping her sanity.

She plopped on her bed with a heavy sigh, looking up at the ceiling. Her mind wandered to the two people she would gladly see under these stresses.

It has been nearly eight cycles since she last saw Din, or was it 9 already? All this time, they had been in contact through holos. But at some point they lost contact as he warned that they'll be off the radar for a while, catching some bounty on the further side of the galaxy who knows where.

She curled her lips, thinking how her boys are out there playing cat and mice while training as well.

But overall, she hopes that they won't forget her. For it has been so long, even the messages are now infrequent, and that made her concerned and lonely. When will they come home?

"Lady Kryze," she heard Koska's voice from outside her door, "You have another meeting with the Ugnaughts in two hours."

"Yea, yea, I know," she huffed, feeling as if her head might explode if anyone ever mentioned any kind of council meeting again, "I will be there." She slowly sat up, stretching with all her might, her back let out silent pops that made her back feel better. 'Let's get this over with,' she thought.

She had expected a diplomacy meeting, not an ambush.

"What do we know of the Ugnaughts?" she asked Koska as they walked through the now well-constructed hallways. In just 8 cycles, they were able to rebuild the castles and city quite well, she is very proud.

"Very technical people as expected," she answered stoically, "They won't answer anything lest they speak with you."

"Did they always say 'I have spoken' at the end of every sentence?" Remembering her time with Din when those creatures would completely ignore her but would listen to him instead. The audacity….. It really annoyed her.

"No, why would they say that?"

Bo stopped in her tracks, feeling somewhat suspicious. "Is it not their culture?" She knows that they are stubborn, but do not say their words is another matter entirely.

"I don't know," She shrugged, "Is it?"

"When I met their people, it's always their catchphrase," she can never forget how she was ignored repeatedly when she didn't say that.

Koska looked at Axe, looking somewhat confused.

Bo, on the other hand, felt concerned. But there's nothing she can do but see it for herself, "Keep your guard up," she said, buckling her blaster close to her, "I don't like where this is going."

Her comrades did the same, unlike her, they put on their helmets and walked with their matriarch.

The door flung open, revealing a dimly lit chamber adorned with symbols of Mandalorian heritage.

Odd, the lights are always brighter than this. A sense of unease tugged at Bo-Katan's instincts.

The Ugnaughts they had come to meet were nowhere to be seen, replaced instead by a group of beings whose true nature was shrouded in mystery.

I knew it, she thought.

Bo-Katan's hand instinctively moved towards her blaster, ready to defend herself and her comrades. But before they could react, a blinding flash of light engulfed the room, momentarily blinding them.

When the light subsided, Bo-Katan's heart sank as she realised they had been separated.

The sound and whooshing light of blasters passed her.

"AXE! KOSKA!" she cried as she turned around, blasters ready.

Her comrades were pinned down by shadowy figures. Their chests pressed flat on the ground, arms pinned behind them. Worst of all, blasters are pointed directly at their heads. It took Bo a while to realize that their helmets were quickly removed!

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Princess," a sinister voice came from either of them.

"Go ahead, shoot first," a reptilian hiss taunted her, shoving Koska's head further to the ground to prove his point, "We'll see who's faster."

"Let my friends go," she sneered, assessing her environment to formulate a plan of escape. She has to contact the guards outside to get to her.

Before her hands reached the distress com on her arm, she was tackled and slammed against the wall, knocking the air out of her lungs and sending stars into her vision. The sound of a loud thud from the impact of her head and the wall made her stunned. It was painful, it was as if a hammer hit her head. Whoever got her is definitely a heavy man.

She felt a huge hand covering her face and she was slammed to the ground, her vision whitened as her head felt like it was cracked open.

Before she knew it, she fell unconscious.

When Bo regained consciousness, she found herself in a sitting position.

She slowly opened her eyes and groaned at the sudden pain in her head. As she was about to rub her head, she find that her hands are bound behind her back. Even her feet are restrained together, limiting her movements.

Struggling against her restraints, Bo-Katan's gaze swept across the chamber, her eyes narrowing as she took in her surroundings. She's still in the rooms of Mandalore, except that the atmosphere inside became incredibly cold with new hisses of reptiles. As she squinted her eyes under the dim light, she could see shadows surrounding her.

The beings before her, once disguised as Ugnaughts, had now revealed their true form as shapeshifters. Their eyes glowed with a malevolent light, razor-sharp teeth gleamed, and their sinister grins sent chills down her spine.

"So glad you can join us, Duchess," a green changeling loomed towards her under the shadows, revealing its disgusting scales. His tongue flicked, "Now, you'd do well to cooperate with us, or your friends here will die," the hideous alien stepped aside to let her see what was in front of her.

Her eyes widened, and her two comrades lie weakly too, but their eyes are still open. But they looked…..dead.

She struggled, "What did you do to them?"

"They weren't cooperative," he cackled, "So we gave them what they deserved, and as for you," his giant scaly hands…..or claws, fisted her hair and pulled them so that she was facing him upwards. They have definitely found a better use of their abilities, "If you do not cooperate, I'm going to have to give you the same treatment. And don't bother calling your guards, they know that we have you. Any kind of suspicious activity from them and we will snap your head like a twig."

Bo gritted her teeth, "What do you want?"

"Your planet's total surrender," he hissed, "General Thrawn would be pleased to have a new base to rebuild the empire."

"What?" She hadn't heard that name in a long time, how is he still alive?

"Ahh, you missed a couple of things now, do you," he cackled menacingly, "No matter, Mandalores follow the strongest. If I kill you, I can build an army of Mandalores to rebuild the empire," he shrieked with laughter, "And then, we will be unstoppable, including to that new Jedi."

Bo-Katan tried to think of a way to escape this ordeal. But how? Her hands are tied, metaphorically and literally speaking. Even her jetpack was thrown across the room, she has no advantage here.

"Now, I ask you one last time, Duchess of Mandalore," the firm hand gripped her hair again, pulling the strands way too hard she felt that they might come off. She gritted her teeth in pain, "Will you surrender Mandalore to us?"

She spat at him, "Mandalore is far more valuable than the likes of you and your Empire scum. They will fight back! We are stronger together!"

The Changeling snarled at her, he suddenly turned away from her until she felt something heavy slammed her off the chair and into the ground. Bo-Katan groaned painfully, trying to subsidies it by curling into a ball, her hands clenching behind her back….Was that a tail?

"I've forgotten that you and your sister shared the same stubbornness," he hissed, making her cringe at the mention of her deceased sister. "Her stories lead her to her death….and your planet."

Bo-Katan felt rage flaming inside her, feeling a sense of protectiveness in her sister's memories, "I'll kill you!" She gritted her teeth, glaring deathly at him.

"Not if I kill you first, Duchess," he pulled his lips to a sickening grin, "but do not worry, you will be reunited with all your family again," his hand gripped her head tightly, its claws digging into her skin that she yelped in pain. He lifted his other talons, claws sharp and ready to rip her apart. "Do send her my regards."

She closed her eyes, preparing for the inevitable. The last thing she thought of is Din and his sweet little boy. I'm sorry.

"Not if I kill you first," a new familiar holovoice entered the room, catching them off-guard, mirroring his words.

Everyone turned to the glass wall that leads to the balcony, and under the bright light, there is a silhouette of a Mandalorian accompanied by a tiny familiar creature with big ears, perched on his shoulder like an owl.

She squinted to see clearly and finally saw the familiar silver and unpainted beskar armour of the man she longed to see again. The Mudhorn insignia shines brightly under the Mandalore sun.

"WHO IS THAT?" The reptile hissed, blasters pointed at him. The rest of the comrades followed.

But Bo knows that voice, let alone that figure she always sees during her time at the Mandalorian cover. She can never forget her boys.

Suddenly, an invisible hand pushed him away from Bo and slammed him to the wall at the corner. Her eyes widened at the sudden attack, but she knows there can only be one being who can do these tricks.

"Bu!" Grogu cried for her, hearing him force jump to her front and his little pattering coming towards her.

"KILL THEM!" a shapeshifter roared, and all of them turned their weapons to Grogu, who seems to be unaware of the danger.

She panicked, "Din! Kid! Look ou-"

But before they could fire the trigger, Din squatted to a kneeling position and activated something from his knees. Sparks of little rockets began flying around the room and exploded right at the reptiles, sending them squealing. The sound of torn flesh and explosion echoed in the air. Grogu continued to babble and waddled to her, "Bo!" he placed his tiny hands on her cheeks and snuggled his face onto hers, she sighed in relief.

"Hey, buddy!" She struggled to lift her head, she could only do little with her hands still bound behind her back, but the sight of Grogu is enough to forget her state, "I missed you so much."

"Bu!" he pulled away from her and assessed her situation, he then turned back and pointed at her, "Patuuu!"

"I got it," Din ran, he swept to her back and cut her binds. Both feet and hands in a flash.

Bo immediately sat up and shook her hands, relieving the strained muscles, "You're here," she noted. It has been so long. Has it been almost eight cycles?

And she can finally take a good look at him. Really look at him. He still looked the same, but his armour looked a lot more polished. He has a new rifle blaster at his back, and who knows he has whatever weapons he possessed now.

But overall, he has this presence of …..strong. Yes. A stronger presence, physically and metaphorically speaking.

"We're here," He replied, "You okay? Are you hurt?"

She shook her head, "Thank you," Din replied with a nod.

"Bo!" Grogu squealed happily, jumping into her arms with so much excitement. Bo was quick to react and holds the child close to her. "Bo!"

And she too is just as happy to see her little green friend, "Hello, Ad'ika! It's so good to see you again!" She hugged Grogu tightly, relishing the moment now that he was with her. It has been so long. "Thank you for rescuing me."

"Bo!" he chirped happily again and snuggled further into her chest, even though he shared the same longing as her.

So lost in her reunion with the little fellow that she didn't realize Din had gone to check on Axe and Koska, "They're out cold," he said, "What happened?"

Bo walked towards them and kneeled, inspecting her unconscious comrades. They are still breathing, but have no signs of serious injuries. Good, she sighed, "We were supposed to meet some Ugnaughts," she told him, "But turns out they are Changelings."

"I knew it," he grumbled, "He was our Bounty, and apparently a hard man to find," he then looked back at her, "Turns out he's been after you."

She nodded, remembering how that lizard was trying to make her surrender Mandalore, "They've been trying to break me to surrender our home planet," She snorted, "As if I would break that easily."

"Did they hurt you?" his voice sounds concerned.

She shook her head, "You both arrived just in time."

"Uii," Grogu began to squirm in her arms, making her reluctantly drop the child. Grogu landed swiftly and he began to waddle towards Koska and Axe, settling between them. He planted each of his hands on their arms and began to close his eyes.

"Hey, it's alright, Ad'ika," she had seen what he had done for her. She doesn't want to tire the child, she quickly tapped her comlink on her arm, hoping the guards out there can pick up, "I need a medic here."

But she was too late to ask that, for both of their eyelids flew open. They gasped in shock and sat up, "Bo-Katan!" Koska cried at me.

Grogu babbled happily and grinned at Bo, as if to show her that he's mastered the ability to force heal without feeling exhausted now. He had certainly accelerated his skills, Din taught him well.

"I'm alright," the leader of Mandalore reassured her, holding her comrades' shoulders, "We're fine, Din arrived here on time."

Axe looked up at him from head to toe, giving him a frown, "Oh, now you decided to show up."

"Axe," Bo warned, she knows how he's a little annoyed with Din for leaving when they're all trying to rebuild Mandalore.

"I have my bounty on him," Din replied, "But I heard that his faction is trying to assassinate Bo, so I trailed him closely to see what he's up to and why," he then turned to the scattered bodies of the reptiles, "And now I know why."

"What is it?" she asked.

"Gideon is only one of the members of the people who are trying to bring back the empire," he answered, "He's not the only one, and these factions," he gestured to the fallen Changeling, "Are hired mercenaries."

"Kriff," Koska swore.

Suddenly, the ground began to shake, surprising them all, and the windows of the balcony broke with a crash. Everyone turned away, Bo and Din stood in front of Grogu to protect him from the shards.

But the boy beat them to it. Once again, just like the day when they were nearly engulfed in fire, Grogu put up his force shield. Protecting them from the sharp glasses coming towards them, they deflected like pouring rain.

To Din and Bo, it was normal to see his powers, but to Axe and Koska, it was entirely new. For their eyes widened at the miracle that Grogue pulled.

When the crash subsided, a pointed leg of a droid appeared from the broken shards, crawling inside like a spider. Its red eye gleamed in the dark and blaster ready. She recognized it as the Scorpenek droid.

"You should've chosen us," Bo recognized the voice that interrogated her not long ago.

There are bangings on the door, "Duchess! Are you alright in there?"

Kriff, they fried the control panels to open the door, she swore. These reptiles are undoubtedly prepared to trap her.

There are blasters on the other side of the wall, her guards must've picked up her distress call or seen the droid. They fired their blasters at the droid but to no avail. It produced a transparent blue shield that surrounds it, rendering their blasters useless. It then released its own blasters and shoot at them, it got one of them, and soon enough, another was hit. When did their technology advance so fast?

"You and your ancient ways are no match for the new technology of the new Empire!" he cackled darkly, "Soon, all of what's left of you Mandalores will fall again!"

"This one is mine," there is rage in Din's words, his sudden change in tone sends shivers down her spine. He immediately pulled his weapons out from his hips, a blaster, and a sword. And it looks like it's not just any kind of sword, it's a beskad sword! When did he get it? And it looked awfully similar to her previous Dark Saber.

Each weapon is held tightly in each hand, "Grogu, watch Bo and the others for me. Protect them if you have to."

His boy babbled what she thinks is a 'yes', "Buir." His language has definitely developed during their travels.

Once he knew that his son understands his instructions, in a blink of an eye, his jetpack roared to life and immediately zoomed towards the droid.

Feeling concerned about their battle environment, Bo immediately picked Grogu up, ready to head off if the situation got a lot more dire. If only she knew where her weapons were discarded during her capture, she'd assist him with no hesitation.

The ground trembles as the Scorpenek droid charges, its monstrous pincers slashing through the air. Din meets its onslaught head-on, sidestepping with agility honed through countless battles. He strikes, his blaster firing precise shots at the deflector shield, each hit weakening its integrity.

Dodging a swipe from the droid's pincers, Din lunges forward, his beskad sword held high. He slashes at the deflector shield, the blade connecting with a resounding clash, sending sparks cascading through the air. The droid stumbles, momentarily disoriented.

Seizing the advantage, Din doubles his assault. He moves with blinding speed to the back and fires again, alternating between his blaster and blade, striking the deflector shield relentlessly until an area of the shield began to turn red. The droid was no match for his speed, blasting everywhere Din was once.

But every missed shot was flying dangerously close to them, Bo immediately yelled and Axe and Koska, "Find shelter amongst the broken alcoves!" She ran to the nearest one, the rest followed.

While taking cover, they all watched Din fight off the droid, peeking from the alcove. And all they can see is how swiftly the Mandalorian fought.

The shield flickers under the onslaught, crackling with energy as it struggles to hold.

"You sure were enjoying yourself back there," even with his helmet on, his voice contains so much venom under the voice of the vocoder. Bo could've sworn his voice matched the terrifying Mudhorn's roar itself.

But the droid wasn't back down either. It then retaliates, unleashing a barrage of razor-sharp projectiles from its tail. Din dives and rolls, evading the deadly projectiles with hairbreadth precision. Rising swiftly, he spots an opening and launches himself toward the droid, his beskad sword poised for a final strike.

With a mighty swing, Din's beskad sword cuts through the weakened deflector shield, cleaving it in half. The droid's shield dissipates into shimmering fragments, leaving it defenceless and vulnerable. A surge of adrenaline fuels Din's determination as he readies himself for the final blow.

"Let me help you have some more fun!" Din roared and swung his razor-sharp blade with a series of rapid slashes, he carves through the droid's exterior, causing sparks to fly.

He dances around the monstrous droid, beskar armour clinking with each agile movement. The Mandalorian strikes with unmatched precision, the beskad blade slashing through the droid's armour, sending shards of metal flying in all directions.

The droid shudders and screeches, its mechanical movements faltering. Din took his opportunity, he quickly threw his blaster and went all in with the blade, as if he was holding the Dark Saber again. He slashed the droid repeatedly, sparks continued to fly as he mercilessly swung his blade.

The droid soon couldn't sustain the many damages that he had done to him, its 'thorax' lowering every minute. Then, Din raised his beskad sword up high. With a swift and decisive strike, he pierces through the droid's core, severing its connection to power.

"Your boyfriend is a badass," Axe muttered behind her.

Immediately, Bo felt her cheeks warm. She turned back, "He's not my…."

"Yea, yea," Koska scoffed, "Keep telling yourself that. Or maybe the kid."

Bo-Katan scoffed and turned back to the battle.

The Scorpenek droid let out a final screech and beeps of malfunction. It froze for a while until its lifeless body crumpled to the ground defeated.

Din stands atop the fallen behemoth, his chest rising and falling with exhaustion. His beskar armour is etched with scratches and smudges, a testament to the ferocity of the battle.

"It won't do anything anymore," he said it casually before turning to them all, "Is everyone okay?"

"Yea," she walked out of the alcove, nearly stumbling from the sudden pain from her side. The adrenaline she had from the danger began to decrease, causing her to wince. But it wasn't enough to weaken her hold on Grogu, but the child seems to have sensed her distress, for he had looked up at her with a worried expression, "Barru?"

Din immediately appeared at her side, "We need to redefine your definition of 'okay'."

"Look, it's just a scratch," she replied, trying to sound convincing.

He only stared at her blankly through his blank visor, looking little to not convinced at all. He then looked down at the kid and nodded, as if having a silent conversation.

She felt the child nod in her hands. Grogu placed all his hands on hers and then remained silent. Suddenly, a wave of energy began to form inside her, subsidising the pain and giving her renewed strength. She is able to breathe easier now.

Grogu then babbled at her, "Patu?" Looking at her with concerned eyes that she can never resist.

She laughed, "Why, aren't you my knight in shining armour," she lifted him to her eye level, wanting him close to her and just looking at his big black eyes, "Once again, you saved me."

"Bo!" The child spreads his arm to her, clearly wanting her close to him.

Bo can never decline the child's request, in her book, it's considered a sin. She snuggled him closer to her, "Thank you, kid."

"So you were saying?" Din exclaimed with a sigh, crossing his arms, wanting to prove his point.

She frowned, "Fine, you win."

Just then, the door to the chamber broke down, and Mandalorians with full armour began to swarm inside, "Lady Kryze, are you alright?" one of them asked.

"Yes," she answered, "take these aliens away and check them. See if they have any clues to these attacks. These changelings are sneakier than I thought."

"Understood," they nod their helmets and immediately seized the changelings. Some other groups began inspecting the damage in the room.

"We'll see to the process, Lady Kryze," Koska said to her. Once Bo nodded in approval, Axe and she left, leaving just her with the clan of Mudhorn.

"I wish your visit is under different circumstances," Bo muttered as she holds onto Grogu.

"Don't be," Din reassured her, stepping a little closer until she can see her reflection on his best armour, "As long as you're safe, nothing else matters."

Bo felt blood running up her cheeks again, her heart clenched at his determination to keep her safe. Oh, how much she missed him.

"Bui. Ba, Buir," Grogu gurgled, patting her chest plate to get her attention. Bo blinked, did he know what he was saying?

"Ah, I think he's hungry," Din noted, patting his boy's little head, "In fact, we actually ran out of pog soup."

"Well, lucky you, we have a whole stock," She gigged, and truthfully, she had prepared some just in case they'd drop by.

Grogu squealed happily and snuggled into her chest again.

"Ad'ika, don't forget your manners," Din lightly scolded him.

"Don't do that, he's just excited to be eating again," she laughed, "Come with me, my quarters are actually stocked with some of them. You can tell me of all your adventures there too."

Din nodded and followed Bo.

And unbeknownst to them again, Axe and Koska silently watched them with a funny face. They turned to each other, looking somewhat unsurprised yet incredibly frustrated with those two lovebirds.

Next, Bo and Din re-affiliate.
