*Mysterious Person POV*

I wake up to find myself lying down in a bed in a room that is not my own. I have no idea how I ended up in this place.

'Where am I?', I think to myself. Then a voice I don't recognize resonates through the room. "Are you ok?", The voice asks. "You've been out for quite a bit of time."

I look for where the voice is coming from, and my eyes rest on a young man that appears to be in his late teens or early twenties. I'm about to voice my thoughts when he repeats his question.

"Are you ok? You've been out for quite a bit,", the man says.

"Where am I? What is this place? Who are you?" These questions seemed to change the subject within the man's mind as he responded, "My name is Aaron Forest. You are in my home. I brought you here yesterday when I saw you appear out of nowhere in an alley not far from here."

Is that what happened? I don't remember much of what happened before I got here. The last thing I remember was running away from something, … or someone. The next thing I knew, we clashed, a loud bang knocked me out cold, and I woke up a day later in this guy's house.

'Strange', I think to myself, 'very strange.'

I'm so wrapped up in my thoughts trying to think back that I end up completely ignoring the fact that I'm in fully unfamiliar territory with a man I don't know, and in a place I don't recognize.

"Hey! Are you listening to me?" the man now named Aaron bellowed.

'Damn. I didn't realize that he was still here. Well, let's see what he wants to know.', "Sorry", I say to him. "I didn't realize you were speaking. I guess I spaced out. What were you saying?"

"I said, what is your name? Where did you come from? How did you get here?", Aaron asks me.

I relay all that I can remember to him. "As for my name, it's Joshua. If you are expecting a surname, I don't have one. We don't use them where I come from."

*Third Person POV*

Aaron's eyebrows go up slightly as he asks, "What do you mean by 'where you come from'? Do you mean to say you are from another world?" Joshua nodded his head in a manner that seemed to suggest it. "How can you tell?", Aaron asks.

"Well," Joshua began, "I don't recognize anything here. I've traveled the world with my father, so I should be able to recognize some of the scenery outside, but I don't recall seeing anything like the view outside."

'Could it be that it happened again?' Aaron thinks to himself, 'It's so strange. We had someone show up five days ago, but it doesn't look like he and Joshua are from the same world. I'll have to tell him.'

"Merula," Aaron calls out.

"Yea, Aaron?" Merula calls.

"Can you call Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall? I think what happened with the other boy a few days ago may have happened again yesterday."

"For real? Don't joke with me, Aaron. You know what happened last time you tried to prank me."

"Yes, I remember. Can you please get them? This is kind of important. I'll call my father and brother. They might want to see this for themselves."

Half an hour went by. In that period, Aaron tried to strike up a conversation with Joshua about what he did remember and more about his former world. Joshua said the more he thought back, the more he could remember. However, he could not remember the final things that happened before he got knocked unconscious. Some things, yes. Others, not so much. This confused Aaron. But he supposed this could wait for later if merula had indeed called them. Aaron then told him about the world Joshua was now in. During this time, Joshua analyzed Aaron. He had short and wavy dark brown hair to go with his light hazel eyes. He was about five-foot-11 and had a pretty tan complexion. Dressed in a navy-blue suit, white shirt, and black tie, it seemed to Joshua that Aaron was about to head out and meet with someone, possibly going on a date with this Merula girl.

Aaron suggested to Joshua that he shower and freshen up, as a few important people were about to come by to see them. He also lent Joshua some old clothes that he had kept in pretty good condition, considering that no one had worn them for several years. After getting dressed, Joshua took a minute or two to look himself over. At eleven years old, he stood at four-foot-11. He was lean, slightly tan, had brown eyes, and had shoulder-length jet-black hair that he tied loosely in a ponytail. He was wearing a short-sleeve button-down white shirt tucked into black jeans with a blue cardigan over the shirt, along with blue and white Converse shoes.

'Looking sharp,' he thought to himself, 'just one more thing.' He then put the tail in a bun. 'Much better,' he thought, looking pleased with how the look turned out. He then heard Aaron yell, "Josh, come down here! There are some people I want you to meet!"

'Josh huh? I'll have to get used to that, I guess. Well, let's not keep them waiting, whomever they are.' Joshua thought to himself as he went downstairs.

He came downstairs to find that the large living room was filled with people, and all eyes fell on him as he entered. Joshua felt quite uncomfortable being in a room filled with people he didn't even know. Noticing this, Aaron decided to introduce Joshua to the people currently occupying the living room. Sitting on the sofa at the other end of the living room were Aaron's father, mother, and brother, Jonathan, Samantha, and Jacob, respectively. Standing by the fireplace was Aaron's fiancé, Merula Snyde. To Joshua's understanding, Aaron and Merula had met at a school called "Hogwarts" in their first year at the school. Their relationship, he learned, started as a competitive rivalry, which over time strangely developed into friendship, and then love throughout their adventures. Opposite them, in a plush armchair closest to the window looking outside into the front yard, sat Albus Dumbledore. On his right stood Professor Minerva McGonagall. To his left stood Severus Snape. It was explained that the three of them were professors at the school, while Dumbledore served as headmaster. When Aaron began to explain what Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Snape were doing there, Dumbledore held up his hand, and Aaron fell silent.

"Thank you for the introductions, my boy. But I feel that this is not the reason you called us here today. No, I think we were called because of this boy standing in the room with us." Dumbledore said this with a knowing look in his piercing blue eyes. "Now," he turned his head to look at Josh, "who are you? Where are you from? And how did you end up here?"

Joshua then began to retell everything he had told Aaron during his conversation with him, making sure that no new details that he remembered were left out.

"I see," said Dumbledore calmly. "You might not be aware of this, but a few days ago something similar happened with another boy. He appeared from another world much like yourself. Do you know anything of the sort about this boy?"

"No," Joshua said, looking rather confused. "This is the first time I heard about this."

"Hm. Would you mind me checking your memories just to ensure that what I am hearing is the full truth?"

Joshua nodded. Dumbledore got up, removed his wand from his pocket, and put it to Joshua's right temple. He extracted a long silvery-white thread and moved to the center of the room. This brought Joshua's attention to the basin atop the small table in the center. This basin was made of stone, was covered in strange runes, and was full of these silvery-white threads, almost like a pool. Dumbledore explained that this basin was called a 'pensive', and that one could use this basin to view others or your own memories. He then placed the thread into the basin and prodded the contents with is wand.

To Joshua, it was like watching a movie. The only difference being, he was the movie. The pensive showed all events as Joshua had explained. What confused everyone was the ending. As Joshua was running away from a figure trying to kill him, the scene started to go foggy. Then Joshua was seen waking up in Aaron's home.

"I see," Dumbledore began. "Well, it is very clear that you are not lying to us. It is also clear that you possess magical skill, unlike some of which I have seen. If you would care to entertain an old man, we'd be honored to see a small taste of your skills."

"I can try," Josh replied nervously. A headmaster of a school of magic wished to see what he could do. There was no way he could disappoint. He noticed a cup of water in Merula's hand and focused on it. He lifted his right hand, and the water levitated out of the cup. He brought the water to himself and began to wave and spin it around. After having some fun, he returned the water to the cup, then proceeded to set the logs in the fireplace on fire. If the water tricks didn't catch anyone's attention, this definitely did. It was quite easy to do it with a flick of a wand and an incantation. Without the two, however, even some of the more skilled wizards would be hard-pressed to make a spark. Snape hid a scoff, thinking it was a clever illusion. The flames, however, were quite real, as the smell of burning wood became easy to discern. He then used a clever illusion trick to transform into Snape (Think Loki from Marvel). This caught everyone by surprise.

"Most impressive," said Dumbledore, who was indeed quite impressed with Josh's display. "Now, as Aaron here mentioned, I am Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of what is known as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This place can train you to help hone your skills and talents, which I feel will be beneficial for you should you wish to accept and join our school. It is to my understanding that you turned eleven five months ago, correct?"

"Yes," Josh said, replying to both inquiries.

"Excellent! Then we shall see each other on the first of September when the term starts. Here is a list of your school supplies." Dumbledore said enthusiastically as he handed Josh his acceptance letter and list of supplies needed. "Now, two matters must be addressed. While awaiting your awakening, Aaron, Jonathan, and I met regarding your welfare. They have decided that, should you accept; you would be happily adopted into their family." Josh replied with a tearful "Yes". Dumbledore continued, "Secondly, Aaron has informed me that due to personal matters with work, he will not be able to help you get your supplies. However, our good friend and gamekeeper, Rubeus Hagrid, has decided to help you out along with your fellow off-worlder and another boy you'll meet very soon. I wonder where they are, as they should be here now."

Just then, a knock sounded from the front door, causing everyone to look in that direction. Aaron went to the front door and opened it to let the new arrivals in. In the doorway stood three people, the first was a huge man who stood nearly nine feet tall. The second was a blond-haired boy that stood at four-foot-nine with three whisker marks on each cheek. The third was another boy around their age. He had black hair, and green eyes and wore glasses. But perhaps the strangest thing to Joshua was that the boy had a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead.

"Ah, Hagrid!" Dumbledore excitedly said while this was going on, "And I see you've brought both of them. Very good."

"Well," Dumbledore started once more, "Now that we're all here, Hagrid, I am right to assume you will be taking them tomorrow. Aaron and Merula have told me they are fine with the boys staying here for tonight."

"Certainly, Professor Dumbledore sir," Hagrid replied, "We'll be on our way to get all their supplies tomorrow."

While this was going on the boys were exchanging introductions.

"Hi," said the blond boy enthusiastically, "I'm Naruto Uzumaki. Nice to meet ya! What's your name?"

Looking back at his adopted family, Josh then turned back to face Naruto, smiled, and responded, "Joshua Forest. Nice to meet you too, Naruto." Joshua then turned to face the other boy. "And what's your name?"

To which the boy replied, "My name is Harry Potter."

A/N: Well, this starts a new journey for the three of them. For those who have played Hogwarts Mystery, you've obviously noticed Merula Snyde. This choice is based on my own experience with the game, Aaron Forest was my character in the game. Also, I made up some names for Aaron's parents as they are never mentioned by name. Now I know what you're thinking, how can you make this work with two added characters? True, it will be tricky, but I have faith in my abilities so trust me. Well, until next time. MoBi out!
