Working Brothers Become Holy Land Students
The next morning, Lashara and her two attendants along with Wahanly and Mexiah and Yoruichi headed off to the Headmistress's office to inform her about the sudden break in of the workshop.
"That's very disconcerting. Are you possible that nothing was stolen?" The headmistress asked.
"Yep, they definitely rummaged through my research data, but everything is accounted for, so it doesn't look like it. Luckily, none of it was highly classified information, so we are in good shape." Wahanly informed.
"Wonderful." The headmistress relieved to hear that.
"Given the circumstances, I think it's definitely best we handle the investigation for breaking and entering. Any issues with that?" The headmistress asked.
"That will be fine." Lasahra nodded.
"Still, it's freaky that something managed to break in without setting off the Koro alarms at night which means someone must be pretty good at sneaking around." Yoruichi commented.
"Well, that just means I'll get to pound the bitch's face in if we ever see her again." Kenpachi smirked as he pounds his fists together.
"Easy brother, they want some information out of the thief first before you go pulverizing the woman to near death." Kenshi pointed out.
"Guess I'll have to try holding back my punches when we do the torturing." Kenpachi advised to himself, and Kenshi is worried that he may not hold himself back that much.
"Hey Wahanly, I hope I'm not sounding like I'm scolding you or anything, but you should be sure to check the door whenever you leave the vault." Kenshi advised with concern.
"Yeah, I think I'll do just that." Wahanly agreed.
"And let me know if you need anything and I'll come rushing to your side." Kenshi offered his help.
"Geez, you're making it sound like I need a knight in shining armor to protect me." Wahanly teased making him blush.
"Just let us know if you see that damn thief." Kenpachi said.
(Vault)
Wahanly arrives back at the Vault entering a break room where Princess Maria with Yukine by herself as they were waiting for her.
"Sorry, I'm totally running late." Wahanly apologized.
"Oh, that's perfectly fine." Maria assured that she and Yukine weren't waiting long.
"I admit, I'm curious as to why Lashara isn't more concerned about potential threats." Maria said.
"Well, obviously, it was a huge mistake to leave it so vulnerable in the academy's lock barrier. To tell ya the truth, I had no idea someone would be interested in something like that." Wahanly stated.
"I'd be very interested in something like that." Maria proclaimed making Wahanly giggle.
"But Princess Maria, nothing of any consequence was stolen, so really, there's no reason to be so concerned. It's like you're worried as Kenshi." Wahanly assured that everything's fine.
"Oh, was Kenshi really worried about you?" Maria asked as Yukine felt a tiny bit of jealously inside of her.
"Yeah, he told me to make sure I lock the Vault whenever I leave and even said he'll come to my help. He's such a sweetie." Wahanly explained with her cheeks blushing.
"If I didn't know any better, I say you fallen for that man than you're letting on." Maria teased.
"What? No, of course not! So, you're still concern about my data?" Wahanly quickly changed the subject.
"Alright, then tell me, could you make the Mechawork fit for practical use?" Maria asked.
"Thanks to Empress Lashara, I got some in-combat data. I-I think I can drastically increase its operational efficiency, but if you wanted it to fight wired Sacred Mechamoids outside the Draft, you're gonna run into issues with its power as well as duration of operability." Wahanly explained as Maria understands this.
"We are currently seeking out a Sacred Mechamaster who has the skill to create quality-compressed bullets. One of this year's new students would be preferable." Maria informed.
"That's a good idea, since they get tails once they become upperclassmen. You know, like Chiaia and Aura both did." Wahanly agreed.
"Don't forget, you did too." Maria pointed out.
"To be honest, I'd prefer if you'd leave me out of this." Wahanly laughed as she doesn't want to be that much of a certain of attention.
"The maneuverability would suffer, but I'm thinking about making a Mechawork that co-functions as a charger." Wahanly said.
"Oh boy… Those three Sacred Mechaoids were like beyond incredible! I wish I had some like that." Wahanly recalled that night of Lashara's assassination attack.
Remembering how strong two of them were while still unaware those were Kenpachi and Kenshi piloting those Sacred Mechaoids and easily taking her and Chiaia down, and the black one was mysterious too. Remembering what Kenpachi said about her being really strong.
"You are referring to the Sacred Mechoids that attacked Empress Lashara?" Maria asked.
"Right." Wahanly answered.
"Honestly, I have doubt about what they really were. I'm not convinced they were Sacred Mechaoids." Maria proclaimed.
"Well, of course, they were. Even the Peace-Chaos Brothers even knew about one of them." Wahaly mentioned.
"Oh, do they now?" Maria asked curious as Yukine is as well.
"Yeah, apparently they were forced away from their homeland and worked with the bad guys to kill the Empress, but they failed and were left behind like trash." Wahanly explained.
"Goodness, I hate to admit this, but I feel glad for Lashara to give them a new start in life." Maria said as Wahanly nods.
"But even so, what kind of Sacred Mechamaster could've done that to you? I, for one, have never seen anything like it." Maria looked over to Yukine who nodded in agreement.
"I bet the one woman those boys know is a monster, twice the size of a normal woman and twice as strong too." Wahanly joked pulling on her cheeks.
"She may very well be." Maria giggled a bit.
(With Lashara's Group)
Chiaia waited for the group to leave the office and they are now walking together through the courtyard with some thoughts about the thief.
"I wonder why someone would want to break into the Vault?" Chiaia asked.
"It's impossible for us to say. These things just happen sometimes." Lashara stated.
"It may not seem important right now, but we should be careful in the near future that it could become something dangerous." Kenpachi advised.
"When you put it like that, I guess we should try keeping our guards up." Lashara said.
"While we're on the subject…" Chiaia turned to the Peace-Chaos Brothers with a slight glare.
"Oh boy, here it comes." Kenpachi said as he knew Chiaia would want to ask them some questions.
"Wanna tell me what you two were doing by the girl's dorm last night?" Chiaia asked.
"We just went out to race each other to see which of us will make it back to the dorm house around the entire school, but we noticed something odd at the vault and you know the rest." Kenpachi explained.
"And don't worry, I made sure Kenshi won't go near the SWAN." Kenpachi added with his arms cross.
"You're making it sound like I'm a criminal." Kenshi exclaimed softly.
"By the way, have you finish fixing Kenpachi's pendant yet?" Kenshi asked which made Chiaia gasp.
"I'm doing the best I can here, okay!" Chiaia yelled with her cheeks blushing a little.
"Whoa there, girl. He was just asking a question, nothing serious or anything." Kenpachi surprised to see that Chiaia is reacting like this now.
"Well, I'm gonna show you that I can keep my promise and get it fix, you jerk!" Chiaia pointed her finger at Kenpachi's nose.
Suddenly the sound of screaming girls erupted, and several of student fangirls are approaching to the brothers.
(With Ulyte)
Ulyte is seen in his office drinking a cup of tea and looking happy as he looks out the window.
"You seem to be feeling better since you started taking Kenshi's medicine." The woman noticed.
"To tell you the truth, I still can't believe it." Ulyte smiled looking towards Kenshi and Kenpachi being just outside.
"Kenshi and Kenpachi are truly mysterious boys. Little by little, a ring of supporters has started to form around them." The woman commented.
"But if we are to stand on equal terms with them, that won't be enough." The woman pointed out.
"You are correct. In that case, maybe it's time I put them somewhere out in the open where they'll stand out even more." Ulyte said just thinking of the perfect idea.
(Two Days Later)
Kenpachi and Kenshi are continuing with their labor work such as delivering some packages cross the Holy Land while Lashara has been called to the Headmistress office.
"Thank you for coming." The headmistress thanked to the young ruler.
"I have some questions for you, regarding both young Masaki boys." The headmistress revealed the purpose of this little meeting.
"Wait, this is about Kenshi and Kenpachi?" Lashara surprised.
"Correct. I heard a rumor that has me quite concerned." The headmistress said which got Lashara curious and a little worried.
"Supposedly, the boys have not completed their compulsory education. Although, I am very aware the highlands have completely different educational standards, but since he resides in the Holy Land, I cannot allow this to slide." The headmistress stated.
"Of course not, we've given this exact issue some serious thought ourselves. However, Kenpachi seem to refuse to "learning more shit" in those exact words." Lashara mentioned.
"I see that boy would certainly be a trouble one in class." The headmistress commented.
"One more thing, I understand that in order for them to take care of themselves, you're to pay him for the work they're doing. Perhaps then, you can explain to me why they have yet to receive any of the funds paid to them thus far?" The headmistress asked causing Lashara to flinch.
"It would seem those boys put a lot of trust in you for handling their money from what they told us." The headmistress said.
(Flashback)
"What? You never learned the basic value of money?" Hannah asked shock as the other members of the staff.
"Yeah, we've been homeschooled by our family for as long as we can remember though Empress Lashara has pointed out that money can be important things just as much as fending ourselves in the forest." Kenpachi explained.
"Guess we never considered how to value money for buying some basic stuff for our needs because our family takes such good care of us and our younger siblings." Kenshi nodded.
"Okay, and what about the fact that Lashara is keeping the money you've earned throughout the jobs you've been doing?" Yoruichi asked.
"We trust her with our money." Kenpachi and Kenshi answered in union and holding up thumbs up.
"You see, since we never learned anything about how to save or spend money, we figure Lashara would be the better person we can trust to hold onto our money until we decided to actually do something with it like buy some new things." Kenshi explained as well.
"Wow, you guys must really put a lot of fate into Lashara." Hannah commented.
"Yeah, you could say we both would've been dead by now if she hadn't taken us in despite what happened." Kenpachi said.
"Despite what happened?" The headmistress asked.
"Sorry, that's on a need-to-know bases within the SWAN. Just know that we trust our Empress completely and we intend to show her that with our loyalty." Kenpachis said showing his fist.
"Lashara maybe a bit of a money lover to most, but she is really a sweet girl who knows what's best for others and she is cute when talking in that Third Person way." Kenshi smiled.
"I knew it, you have a fucking crush on our Empress. Wonder what Yukine would say if she heard all of that." Kenpachi laughed causing Kenshi to blush in shock.
"No, no, no, it's nothing like that at all!" Kenshi tried to explain his season.
"Hey, are we done here? I'm getting bored." Kenpachi got up from his chair and leaves for the door.
"Hold on, Kenpachi! We have some deliveries to do." Kenshi reminded his brother while the other staff members just look at each other.
(Flashback)
"You can imagine my surprise when they said such high things for you." The headmistress laughed.
"My, my, I never knew they have such words for me." Lashara blushed and feeling happy about the kind things Kenshi said about her.
"But you know, it does concerns me if that they never been to any school before." The headmistress said.
"True, it's not like we can just enrolled them into the Holy Land to give them that experience of kids like us going to school." Lashara chuckled.
"Well then, we don't we do it now." The headmistress suggested shocking Lashara.
"What? But the Holy Land…!" Lashara wasn't sure if the headmistress is being serious about this or not.
"True, aside from Sacred Mechamaster candidates, only royalty and nobility may enroll, but we do make exceptions if the Church approves. All of the instructors who have been them work at the dorms have offered recommendations." The headmistress explained.
"Including Yoriuchi who has taken quite a liking to Kenpachi because of how strong he is, saying he would make a great sparring partner for her." The headmistress mentioned.
"Well, Kenpachi does like to fight a lot than working." Lashara admitted sweatdropping.
"I can imagine Kenshi going along with the idea of going to school, but I doubt Kenpachi would be thrilled since he never likes the "boring" stuff." Lashara stated.
"But I'm worried that neither of them would be smart enough to go to this school." Lashara said.
"Actually, we jus gave them a test to gauge their abilities. The results indicate Kenshi will perform well above average and Kenpachi's scores are just average though a tiny bit low." The headmistress showed her the scoring papers.
"When did you do that?" Lashara asked shock.
"Kenshi's knowledge of history is something to be desire and Kenshi's seems to know some basic math. And they lack basic reasoning skills. Of course, that is to be expected being from the highlands." The headmistress said.
"Well then, do you give permission?" The headmistress asked.
Lashara was now the one being push back to a corner seeing that the headmistress has already seen what the boys are capable of, and she knows better than to try making her change her mind because this old woman rarely changes her mind on something important like young boys' education. But she also has to consider this rumor she's been hearing about involving Kenshi and Kenpach.
Now she considers sending them to class would help lower the chances of them being suspected and keeping their identities as Scared Mechamasters a secret.
Seeing no other choice, Lashara made her decision to heed the headmistress's request.
"Yes, very well." Lashara nodded.
(Evening, Lashara's Dorm House)
"WHAAAAAAAAT?!" Kenpachi shouted in rage scaring Lashara, Chiaia, and Kenshi.
"You mean to tell me NOW we have to go school? Are you out of your damn mind!" Kenpachi angered.
"Easy Kenpachi, I'm sure Empress Lashara was feeling the pressure that she couldn't refuse and had no other choice." Kenshi stated.
"Damn it, I should've known those teachers were up to something since they made us do those stupid tests! They remind me too much of those damn studying times our families had to put us through!" Kenpachi slammed his fist on the floor making little cracks.
"Yeah, I remember during one of the lessons that you grabbed Lady Seto and Big Sis Washu's face, slamming them through walls and threw them into the lake." Kenshi remembered.
"(He seriously hates studying that much!)" Chiaia thought shocked.
"But you know, it's the rumors I'm worried about." Chiaia said.
"Yes, and we can already guess what many of the rumors will be. As long as no one discovers they are Sacred Mechamasters, everything should be fine." Lashara believed.
"Damn that hag! I swear, I'm going to make her life a living Hell!" Kenpachi angered.
"Hey now, you should at least be thinking about the individuals from different countries you may get to meet and talk with." Chiaia pointed out.
"Who the fuck cares about all that?" Kenpachi yelled while Kenshi tries to hold him back.
"(Still, I can't help but think the timing of this whole ordeal is a bit suspicious. Now I simply have to hope that nothing happens until everyone accepts that Kenshi and Kenpachi are mine.)" Lashara thought hoped and sipping her tea.
