Chapter 8: Returning To Velvette's Cognitive Mansion

I woke up in the Velvet Room…

"So, the Trickster Of Hell is slowly regaining his memories as a demon now?" Igor said, "I am looking forward to it while you journey to the light in Hell."

"Just don't become an angel, prisoner!" Caroline said,

"Unless you want to be a fallen one like a familiar face of yours." Justine said,

"There will be bonds you will create down in Hell." Igor said, "Those bonds will be helpful for your journey to the light in Hell. Whether they come across big or small, they will help you become more powerful."

April 14th… It was Morning. I was applying for a job at Rosie's Emporium. Rosie herself is an Overlord like Alastor and Velvette, but she was nice like Alastor.

"Oh my, does my young demon want to work here for money?" She asked, "Ok, what qualifications do you want to meet?"

"Doesn't really matter to me." I replied,

Rosie chuckled a bit.

"Ok, if you insist." She said, "I'll meet you tomorrow morning for your schedule. Don't be late or you'll regret it."

"Right." I replied as I took my bow.

"Oh? What was that?"

"My way of showing my thanks to you. I'm from Japan before I die."

"I see. Well, have a nice day."

Afternoon… I was walking with Lars as he was on his phone.

"Ugh, one person is already giving me a death threat." He said, "Another wants me to choke on dicks while someone gives me head.

"Ew." I said in disgust,

"Look, don't blame me for my Bisexuality, blame Velvette for trying to destroy my life with her image. She brought out her toxic fans onto me over a simple mistake we made yesterday."

"I don't think it was a mistake."

"Still! Overlords are a fucking mistake!"

We arrived with Cattleya outside of the private club.

"Well, here we are." Cattleya said as she turned to me, "Hey, Ren, do you know how to get into the Cognitive World from here?"

"I do." I replied as I showed off my phone and the Metaverse App.

"Let's see… Ok, all you need to do is access the Metaverse from here. That way, no one knows where the three of us have gone."

"Alright. Let's do this."

"I'm ready when you two are!" Lars said, "Let's go!"

We enter the Cognitive World. The private club that Velvette and her two Overlord friends hid at during Extermination Day became her mansion now.

"And here we are!" Cattleya said,

"Woah!" Lars said, "Cattleya, look at you!"

We both look at Cattleya. She was wearing different clothing like me.

"Heh, long story short, I gained these powers here." Cattleya said, "If you want the long story, I'll tell you boys later once we leave. For now, you got a pirate in your hand! Argh!"

"...Fair enough." Lars said as he looked at me, "You also changed clothes… Gee, how come I'm still normal?"

"You'll find out eventually." Ren said,

"Hmm?" Cattleya wondered, "What do you mean by that, Ren?"

"Uhhh… I've been in this situation before when I was alive."

"So… You're just like me, but back then before you went to Hell after your death… Ok, fair enough."

"Alright, enough chit-chatting!" Lars said, "Let's show that Velvette bitch that we're the ones ruining her life!"

"We're not ruining her life! We're gonna be changing her heart!"

"Huh? Changing her heart?"

"I'll also explain that later! Come on, let's go find something in there! I've been DYING to find what's in there since the day I lost my virginity to another woman!"

We headed inside the mansion. A security camera was watching us.

"Where are we going?" Lars asked,

"To a room!" Cattleya replied, "Not telling you where because, we're being watched!"

"That explains the cameras." I said as I pointed to a camera.

"Oh!" Lars shouted, "Guess we gotta hide!"

"Come on! Follow me!" Cattleya shouted,

As we ran to a hallway, we saw two bodyguards appearing in front of us.

"Oh shit!" Lars shouted, "They found us!"

"Don't worry, we got this!" Cattleya shouted as she went in front of us.

"Huh?!"

"Uh…"

Cattleya then puts one of her hands on her mask.

"Come…" She said as she took off her mask and revealed a blue flame around her, "ANNE BONNY!"

"WOAH!" Lars shouted as the blue flame was burning bright.

Cattleya's Persona appeared as a cat pirate with 2 swords and a cat ghost floating around it. It's name was Anne Bonny.

"UNHOLY SHIT!" Lars shouted, "YOU GOT ONE TOO?!"

"Yup!" Cattleya replied, "I'm ahead of you boys in this game!"

Cattleya then cracked her neck side to side.

"Attack!" She shouted, as she used her Persona to slash the bodyguards with her swords to death.

Two more bodyguards appear and turn into Shadows.

"Arsene!" I shouted as I took off my mask to summon my Persona, Arsene.

Eihas were fired at the Shadows, defeating them.

"Good one, Ren!" Cattleya shouted, "Now, let's continue on!"

We headed to a living room, but we were stopped by Shadow Velvette and more bodyguards.

"Well, look at what the cat dragged in!" Shadow Velvette said, "Those brats from yesterday!"

"Give up, Velvette!" Cattleya shouted, "We're here to steal your heart!"

"Oh ho ho ho! Really?"

Shadow Velvette then snapped her fingers.

"Take care of them!" She shouted,

They surround us as we then try to fight back, but they are stronger. They got me and Cattleya, but tossed Lars aside.

"I'll deal with the Bunny Bitch Boy later!" She said, "For now, these two bratty thieves are gonna learn about not stealing from others!"

"Hey, I'm clearly 18!" Cattleya shouted as she struggled to free herself from a bodyguard's grip.

"Doesn't matter! You're still a brat in my eyes!"

"Damn, she said that to me yesterday…" Lars said,

Velvette then turned to Lars who was on the ground as she had her phone out and recording.

"Now, Bunny Bitch Boy here is gonna have front row seats watching his little friends die by my hand!" She said, "Ha ha ha! This will be amazing! And hopefully enough to farm in more views and popularity along the way!"

Shadow Velvette then laughed like a maniac. Lars was confused and frustrated on what to do.

"I… I don't know what to do…" He said,

"Urgh… Are you ok with this?" I asked Lars.

"Huh?"

Lars looked at me.

"Can you forgive her for what she's doing to all of us?" I asked him, "She's taken away your life! If you want what you have… You must take it back!"

Lars gasped.

"I… I guess you do have a point, man…" He said as he slowly got up on his feet.

Velvette laughed more.

"Aww, what's Bunny Bitch Boy gonna do?" She asked Lars, "You know what they say, once you slap a label onto something, it's impossible to remove!"

"I don't give a shit about what you say!" Lars said, "My reputation is in ruins and I'm being punished for no reason, all because of you!"

As Lars got to his feet, he pointed at Velvette.

"So shut the fuck up and quit being an arrogant egotistical asshole!" He shouted at her,

Then, Lars received a great migraine. He groaned in pain.

"What the?!" Cattleya shouted, "Lars over here has this awakening as well?!"

Cattleya looked at me.

"This is the Cognitive World Of Hell. It doesn't take too kindly to normal demon hearts." She said, "This guy over here has that same inning as you and me. A Persona! Waiting to be let out into a rebellious phenomenon!"

Suddenly, a voice can be heard in Lars' POV.

"Is it time for you to come to your senses?" A Masculine voice asked him.

Lars' migraine got worse as he put his hands on his head and groaned out more in pain.

"You have gone mad with how the world has treated you. I think it's time for you to change it into your own magical hands." The Masculine voice said,

Lars screamed in pain more.

"I am thou, thou art I." The voice continued, "The contract has been formed. Use your power of rebellion to show the world who's the boss now!"

A mask appeared as Lars was wearing it.

"What the hell?!" Shadow Velvette shouted, "Him too?!"

Lars then struggled to get the mask off of him. Once it was out, it ripped off some of his skin near his eyes as he screamed in pain. Then, a blue flame around him appeared as it burned bright. Me and Cattleya covered our eyes as it was powerful. Once it died down, we saw Lars in a magician-like outfit and his new Persona behind him. Lars then looked serious as he ran towards the bodyguards that's trapping me and Cattleya and took them down with his newfound saw.

"I'm done running away." Lars said, "I'm gonna keep pushing forward to show this Hell who it messes with."

Lars then pointed at Shadow Velvette who was shocked.

"And I'm gonna start with you, Velvette!" He shouted,

"Grrr, you brats!" Shadow Velvette shouted as more bodyguards appeared and turned into Shadows. "GET THEM!"

Lars used his Persona to create Agi flames.

"Let's do this right now!" Lars shouted, "Mad Hatter!"

Mad Hatter then shot his flames at two of the three Shadows, killing them instantly.

"Anne Bonny!" Cattleya shouted as her Persona appeared to bash the 3rd Shadow, causing it to be down.

"It's down!" Ren shouted, "Now's our chance!"

The three of us then performed, what we did, was an All-Out Attack on the 3rd Shadow. I delivered the final blow.

Shadow Velvette then ran away.

"Hey!" Lars shouted, "Get back here!"

Lars then felt a pain in his left shoulder.

"Oww…" He groaned in pain, "What now?"

"You've gone weak." Cattleya said, "Come on, let's get out of here and square up again."

"Fine… I'll get that bitch tomorrow… Just she waits…"
