I ran through the aisles, swords glinting in the fire's light as I saw the Winter King sit on his throne, his blade in his hand as he eyed me in amusement. His Goblin knights made brandished their spears and made their way towards me.

I slammed into the floor with a cough, blades clattering as I slid across the room. I inhaled, the ice melting before the wielder as he looked at me.

"Damian," He tutted as he brought his sword down. I summoned my ice and the ice clashed, his against mine. It cracked. "You look tired," It shattered and once again I was skidding across the room. I got to my feet and summoning my spear from my inventory I dived across the room, the area where my head was being cut in half. "You're slower too," He mocked as I rolled and picked myself up, my spear pointed at him as I breathed heavily.

As he shot forward, I waited, watching how he glided in the air for a few moments before running at me, his sword's blade pointed to his side, preparing for a slash. He was centimetres before me when I acted.

I sidestep, my chains arresting his limbs and movements as I ran him through. He coughed, his blood flying past me as I grabbed the knife from his waist, and slapped a seal on it.

I watched as the knife that ruined thousands, the knife that destroyed families, that made men into thralls, the cursed knife turned into dust in my palm before I turned to the wielder who stained my chains with his blood.

"I thought I'd die by the hands of my lover, Titania," He said as blood went down his lips. "I thought I'd die in glorious battle, surrounded by my enemies, not by a ten-year-old boy,"

"Sometimes, our thoughts, just don't become reality," I said to him, as his eyes slowly closed. "Such truth," He whispered His blood pooling by his mouth. "Such experience, where did you learn that…what did you think would happen, that didn't?" His head dropped unto his marble floor.

"I didn't think a hero would be this painful," I answered the carcass as my chains receded. The doors blasted open, their heat allowing me to realize who it was.

Dorrin stood by the doors, Titania, Wanda, and everyone behind him, their gasps of shock surprising me as they took in the sight.

"You…" Dorrin said as I took Wanda's hand and cupped her face.

"Yeah," I said as I brought her close to me. "I killed him,"

I walked behind them and saw the army they were going to pit against werewolves, against goblins, against the undead had I not done this. Had I not attracted their attention, sacrificed an emperor for knowledge, sacrificed my innocence, these elves that cheered at their victory, the men that cried in joy, would not be alive.

The day was a blur, and I found myself dancing with Wanda, her eyes alight in joy and excitement as she spun in the air with a giggle. I caught her as she descended, much to the cheers of the crowd and she kissed my cheek before she left with a glance, her eyes clouded and I followed her to a balcony.

She stared into the forest and I realized something is going to happen. "Wanda…" I started and she turned to me, her hand on her chest. I walked towards her. "You're not some evil Unseelie Queen right?" I asked as I cupped her cheek, watching as she cried, or laughed.

"No," She said as she leaned on my chest. " Promise me something?"

I blinked and nodded "Anything," Something cool was placed into my plan as she tip-toed to my ear. "Protect the stone," She whispered, and I felt a sting. I stepped back and watched as she glowed purple.

The world exploded and I found myself in the air.
