Chapter 20: Valentino's Treasure & Calling Card

May 28th. Me, Lars, Cattleya and Willow get together in Cattleya's apartment.

"Ok, so according to my research on the internet, Valentino is gonna have an interview with 666 News's Katie Killjoy on June 6th." Willow said, "Which is also the anniversary of the news broadcast."

"What about Porn Studios?" Lars wonder,

"June 9th."

"...Oh."

"Yeah. Anyways, Valentino has stated that he's gonna expose The Phantom Thieves's true identities as an act of revenge for what they did to Velvette."

"Act of revenge? Bro, you're caught by Willow's spoken words that you did these nasty things!"

"Exactly, surprised that some people have gained a following towards Valentino since the get-go."

"Well we'll make sure that everyone watching Valentino's interview will know the truth behind that nasty man!" Cattleya shouted,

"That's right. For the sake of Hell and for our future here." I said,

We all nodded in agreement. My team's bond has grown by then.

We were then in the Cognitive World as we infiltrated Valentino's Palace from climbing into a hotel room on the 3rd floor.

"So, this palace also has a treasure." Cattleya said, "And in order to get this treasure, we have to find a keycard from Valentino's office."

"Where would his office be in this palace?" Willow wonder,

"You all saw that big tower of glass from the hotel?" I asked, "That's his office. It has the keycard. Plus, the private VIP room is locked."

"And it needs a keycard to open." Lars replied,

"I see now." Willow said, "So we gotta sneak into Valentino's office, steal a keycard, and then get to the private VIP room to steal his treasure. I'm liking this so far."

We then dashed through the halls and hid in sight while security was on duty.

Then, we saw an elevator.

"Ah-ha! Elevator!" Cattleya said as she looked at the glass around it, "And it looks like it goes up to the top of Valentino's office."

"And from the looks of it, Valentino is on break." Lars said, "We did see him in the swimming pool outside."

"Alright, let's get to the top!" I said,

We went inside the elevator. We went to the top to go to Valentino's office. We searched for the keycard.

"It's gotta be in there somewhere!" Willow said,

Then, I heard the elevator ding from below.

"We don't have much time!" I shouted,

"How the fuck is he already done swimming in his victims graves?!" Lars shouted, "Fuck! Ok! Let's hide!"

"No time for hiding!" Willow shouted as she looked at an opened window. "Let's jump!"

"But what about the key card?!"

Cattleya showed it to them.

"Found one!" She shouted, "There was a whole bucket of them!"

"Alright, let's jump!" I shouted,

We all jumped out of Valentino's office. Shadow Valentino then entered and looked around.

"Hmm, still seemed normal~" He said,

Down below, we landed in the outdoor swimming pool. We swam back up for air.

"Holy… Shit…" Lars said, "That was crazy…"

"I am NEVER doing that again!" Willow shouted, "I'm afraid of heights!"

Cattleya was seen out of the pool as she was quickly drying off.

"And I hate swimming in water!" She shouted, "It burns!"

"So much for a Cat Demon." Willow said as she laughed a bit.

Later, we entered the private VIP room back inside Shadow Valentino's Palace. There, we saw a glowing orb on stage.

"Huh? That's the treasure?" Willow wonder,

"It sure is!" Cattleya replied, "However, it's not in its final form yet!"

"That's right, we gotta send out a calling card to Valentino back in the real world." I said,

"Oh? You mean like a warning to him?" Willow said, "Here, let me help! I can fix your grammar!"

"Thanks, Arachnid. We could get some help anyways."

"So… When are we writing it? I want to do it tonight to get it over with."

"And then we'll send out the calling card tomorrow. Sounds good, Joker?" Lars asked,

"Yes. It does." I replied, "Let's head back and get to work!"

May 29th… Valentino was in a limousine with a Mafia gang member.

"Overlord Valentino, it's a pleasure to meet ya." The gang member said, "My boss wanted me to give this to ya. It seems something suspicious has gotten your name on it."

Valentino was curious.

"Really?" He wondered as he received a copy of the calling card. The front had that logo again with the caption, "TAKE YOUR HEART" on it. "Logo's lacking."

"Turn to the back." The gang member said, "And let me read it out loud."

Valentino turned to the back to see a message written to him. The Mafia gang member read the following from the calling card:

"Overlord Valentino,

The Despicable Bastard of Lust

You use your twisted desires on your innocent and harmless employees and force them into your own nasty hands. That's why, we have decided to make you confess your crimes with your own mouth. We will take your distorted desires without fail.

From, The Phantom Thieves."

Valentino groaned as he wasn't pleased with the card.

"So it's just like Velvette, huh?" He said, "To think that they can steal my heart on the lies they're telling about me?"

Valentino rolled down his window and tossed the calling card away.

"Bullshit!" He shouted as he rolled the window back up and faced the gang member, "Keep this calling card a secret with me, ok?"

"But… It's all over town." The gang member said as he rolled down his window to see the calling cards being put up on bulletin boards and on walls.

Valentino gasped. He then sighed in frustration.

"Guess you're never one step ahead of everything…" He said,

Then, a static appeared as Shadow Valentino was present.

"Fine, I'll just have to teach those brats a lesson~" He said,
