Chapter 22: Changing Valentino's Heart, Part 2

Shadow Valentino was then returned to his normal state as he ran to the other side of the pool. He fell and was out of breath. He then saw me and the others running up to him.

"Gah!" He shouted in fear, "Please! Have mercy on me! Don't hurt me!"

"Shut up!" Willow shouted as she aimed her kukri at Shadow Valentino, "That's what your employees would say when you abuse them! You took everything from them and ruined their lives!"

Shadow Valentino looked away as he started to whimper.

"You're right…" He said, softly, "I am a fool…"

Shadow Valentino then looked at us with guilt.

"My addiction of sex blinded me for who I am…" He said, "I've hurt so many people and turned my back on everyone I know… Including Voxxy…"

Shadow Valentino looked down.

"I don't deserve any of this…" He said, "I just wanted to be the top Overlord of Pride…"

Willow rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, well it ain't happening anymore." She said, "You want to know why?"

"Wh-Why?" Shadow Valentino wonders,

"Because I want you to turn yourself in. Confess to all the crimes you've caused. Don't even think about running away from your crimes on some private vacation bullshit. Do I make myself clear?"

"Y-Yes! Ok! I'll confess!"

Then, we felt shaking. We saw Shadow Valentino's Palace starting to crumble.

"We have to get out of here, Willow!" Cattleya said as she obtained Shadow Valentino's treasure, "The palace is about to crumble!"

"Right! I'm coming!" Willow said as she turned to Shadow Valentino, "Remember what I said, got it?"

"Y-Yes ma'am!" Shadow Valentino shouted,

We all disappeared from The Cognitive World. Shadow Valentino then watches his palace fall. He sadly sighed as light flowed around him.

"I guess it is time to make things right…" He said, "And clean up the mess I have made…"

We returned to the real world. I looked at the metaNav app.

"The destination has been deleted." It said as I put my phone away,

"Where's Cattleya?" Lars said,

"I think she took the treasure with us."

"No wonder why she's from Greed." Willow said,

Lars then received a text from Cattleya.

"Sorry I left you guys." He read, "There were some folks here who found me suspicious with the treasure, so I'll tell you guys about it later."

Lars texted back with an "Ok, we believe you." message.

"Huh, so people are suspecting her as a Phantom Thief?" Willow said, "Can't say I blame her since we're also Phantom Thieves."

"Let's get out of here." I said, "So that no one else can find us suspicious."

May 30th. I was in the Hazbin Hotel. Angel Dust and Vaggie were having a conversation.

"Valentino is out for a while…" Angel Dust said, "Usually my boss is always available to continue to ruin our lives…"

"But now he's out…" Vaggie said, "What do I imagine that pimpy fucker to plot?"

"I'd rather not imagine it… What he did to me and the other employees… Sickening…"

"By the way, he's interviewed with Katie Killjoy on June 6th, right?"

"Oh yeah, for the anniversary of that news station and to respond to these allegations that he's been calling fake…"

"Uh-huh… Let's hope something bad happens to him…"

Later, I was texting Lars, Cattleya and Willow.

"Valentino's out for a while." Willow said, "What could this mean?"

"He has gone through a psychotic breakdown and a mental shutdown." Cattleya replied, "When he collects himself again, that's when the change of heart comes in."

"Sure hope he does go to the meeting on June 6th." Lars said, "I want to see him admit to his wrongful doings on public television!"

"I'm sure he will." I said, "And don't get excited over it."

"Sorry. Sorry."

June 6th. 666 News.

"You're now watching 666 News, a Special Anniversary edition! I am Katie Killjoy! Unfortunately, Tom Trench is out for a week. Damn bastard has technical difficulties with his mask!" She said, "Now, today's a very special day, because we have Overlord Valentino in our studio with us!"

The camera turned to Valentino who was calm.

"Valentino, thank you for being here with us!" Katie said, "Now, I've heard that June 9th is the anniversary of Porn Studios, am I right?"

"Correct." Valentino replied,

"And also before the lead up to that event in just 3 days away, there are some rumors going around that you're abusing your employees and avoiding the drama by going on vacations with Overlord Vox!"

"That's right, which is why I'm here to talk about the rumors."

"Floor's your–"

Valentino then grew guilty as he took off his heart-shaped sunglasses and looked at the camera.

"-They were true!" He said, ashamed.

"Wh-What?" Katie said, shocked,

"That's right, I have done some horrible things to my employees of Porn Studios."

Valentino then grew sad.

"I've abused them." He said, "I've sexually assaulted them."

Valentino then grew disgusted.

"I've even raped a small handful of them…" He said, "And that woman who gave birth and committed suicide afterwards… That happened because of me…"

Valentino then slowly started to cry.

"I even avoided the drama to go on vacation with Voxxy…" He said, "And when he and the others weren't looking, I backstabbed them by doing these awful things… My addiction of sex blinded me for what made me the Overlord I am!"

Katie was confused.

"Are you crying?!" She shouted,

"I am!" Valentino replied, "These are tears!"

"O-Ok! Ok! Wh-What are you gonna do now?!"

Valentino took a deep breath.

"I'm going to step down as Overlord and CEO of Porn Studios…" He replied with sadness, "Me and my agents will find someone in the industry to take over my position and hopefully end this nightmare I've caused them…"

Valentino then got up.

"And then I'm going to turn myself in for my crimes!" He said as he put his sunglasses back on, "That's all from me."

Katie nervously laughed.

"What the fuck is going on?" She said to herself as she then looked at the camera, "Go to a commercial break! DO IT!"

The news ended. Everyone who was watching it outdoors was confused.

"What the hell just happened?!" One male demon said,

"First Overlord Velvette and now Overlord Valentino?!" One female demon said, "This is crazy!"

"Are the Phantom Thieves really real?!" Another female demon said,

"Why are they making these guys confess?!" Another male demon said, "What's so good about this if we're all suffering in Hell?!"

In the Hazbin Hotel, Angel Dust was shocked with what he saw on TV. The same goes for Charlie, Vaggie and Alastor.

"No way…" Angel Dust said, "Is he serious?"

Vaggie was on her phone until she saw an update of the situation.

"Yeah! Look at this!" She shouted, "Overlord Valentino steps down as CEO of Porn Studios and as Overlord and is looking for someone in the working place to take his place! Afterwards, he's gonna be turning himself in for Abuse, Rape and Sexual Assault!"

Angel Dust then had tears in his eyes as he was smiling.

"I'm free…" He said as he got up and ran, "I'M FREE!"

Charlie smiled.

"I'm glad his terror with that man is over…" She said,

"Same, but still, are those Phantom Thieves really real?" Vaggie wonder, "They have the same goal as yours which is about changing our views of Hell…"

"Whatever is going on, I'm sure they're happy like Charlotte!" Alastor said,

"Uh-huh, if you say so…"

Willow meanwhile was with us outside.

"Damn, he really did confess." She said, "We really changed his heart, huh?"

"You bet we did!" Cattleya replied,

"By the way, what was his real treasure?" Lars asked,

"A different form of his pimpy outfit. It wasn't made out of gold this time."

"I see…"

"But still! We got this! Later on, once we're cool and collected, we're gonna change Vox's heart next! That's our plan! We just gotta wait for the right time!"

We've all agreed like a team.

Willow then looked at Lars.

"By the way, Lars… You did pretty good back there." She said, "And sometimes you're a genius."

Lars blushed.

"Thanks, Willow." Lars said,

"By the way… Do you wanna hang sometime?" Willow asked,

"Sure."

"Alright, I gotta go."

"Take care." I said,

Willow walked away.

"I think that girl liked you!" Cattleya said,

"I think she does…" Lars said, embarrassed and blushing at the same time, "But still, the way I looked at her breasts a while ago…"

"Hey, I looked at her breasts as well, ok?"

"That still doesn't make me feel better!"

Lars ran away back to home. Cattleya giggled.

"And just like that, our team has slowly grown!" She said, "Hey, Leader, you did great out there again!"

"Thanks." I said, "What now?"

"Later, I want to plan a celebration together as a team. Want to help? I'll let you know when the time is right."

"Sure."

"Alright, thanks!"

My bond with Cattleya is slowly growing.

Cattleya and I parted ways as I returned to The Hazbin Hotel.
