Chapter 45: Karma Bites Back
We left the apartments.
"I can't believe this is happening…" Cattleya said, "Are we really gonna change my best friend's heart? I mean what if she openly admits that she was the hacker all along?!"
"This is challenging…" Lars said, "And considering that we all have until August 15th or else Astrid is gonna expose us and those at I.M.P makes it a little more stressful."
"I think we need a day off… I'll talk to Blitzø about it and then we'll come back here and see if Astrid has a palace in the Cognitive World."
"I'm very certain that Astrid does have a palace." Selene said, "Besides, we are gonna steal her heart anyways."
Cattleya sighed heavily.
"Let's just call it here." She said, "I'm sure that Blitzø and the others are hard at work killing whoever killed Ren."
Planet Earth, Tokyo, Japan.
A young man named Goro Akechi was walking after a day at work.
Blitzø, Moxxie and Millie all paid their attention towards him.
"Alright, here's the plan, one of us will lure him into an alleyway and I'll take the shot." Blitzø said as he turned to the couple, "And when I mean one of us I mean you two."
"Sir, how do we even lure him in?" Moxxie wondered,
"I don't know, hold up a sign and tell him about free pancakes or something?! The boy loves pancakes of all fucking things in the world!"
"Come on, Mox, let's show him what a bullet tastes like!" Millie said as she hold Moxxie's hand,
Moxxie and Millie went to their spots. Blitzø then ran up the rooftops to follow Goro. Goro was seen buying a muffin near a pastry stand.
"Yes, just the blueberry muffin for me." He said as he bought the muffin,
Blitzø smiled as he looked down at Goro.
"Alright you brat, you wanna play with guns, huh?" He said as he loaded his gun, "Then Karma's gonna bite you back!"
Goro continued walking when he heard sounds of someone or somebody landing in the dumpster in an alleyway.
"Huh?" He wondered, "What was that?
Goro walked into the alleyway.
"Gotcha!" Blitzø's voice shouted as he aimed his gun at Goro,
Goro grew a serious look and aimed his gun at Blitzø as well.
"I knew you were coming here to kill me." Goro said to him,
Blitzø then got confused.
"Wait, you did?" He asked,
"Of course…" Goro replied as gave out a menacing smile, "Let's just say that a certain sinner knows about your existence."
"Who?"
"Oh, I won't tell you, you'll find out eventually…"
Moxxie and Millie then got out of the dumpster for clean air.
"Fuck! Why did we agree to dive in here?!" Moxxie shouted,
"Shut up!" Goro shouted while he was looking directly at them, "You two aren't as important as the man I'm about to–"
Blitzø then hesitates to shoot Goro in the back of his head. Goro then dropped the gun and fell to the ground, dead.
"Well, thank you guys for distracting him." He said to the couple, "I'll increase your paychecks later."
"Wh-What was that?!" Moxxie shouted, "He didn't even bother to shoot at us!"
"Doesn't matter, we got him! Come on, let's go get some pancakes."
Blitzø then walked away. Moxxie and Millie got out of the dumpster and looked at Goro's dead corpse.
"Well, at least we successfully killed him." Millie said,
"Yeah, but something seems off…" Moxxie said, "He probably was just waiting for one of us to kill him."
"Don't think too heavily on that, Mox. Come on, let's call it a day."
"Alright…"
