Took a while to upload this but it's finally out! Enjoy!
Later At The Warehouse
The Hyperjet hovered overhead of the warehouse that was manufacturing the Bulldozer machines.
"Alright, Scarlet, you ready?" Shadow went on his earpiece.
Spinelli revved the motor of her cycle. "I was BORN ready!" She loudly revved after.
Shadow gave a nod to Trevon. "Ready?"
"One step ahead!" The eight-foot-tall wolf replied.
Inside The Warehouse…
"Second Bulldozer is ready for operation, Ma'am." A Militia soldier told Haidra. "Excellent. How much longer 'till the rest are done?"
"Approximately…"
SHATTER
CRASH
THUD
CLANG
Trevon crashed through the ceiling and even destroyed the active Dozer with ease.
AWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO
He howled and ripped off the Bulldozer's headpiece, chewed it into pieces, and spat it out at the soldiers.
SHATTER
The Stealth Cycle crashed through a window and landed right on top of a soldier. Tether lines dropped, and the Vigilantes strike team zipped down the ropes.
"SERGEANT! RELEASE OUR CAPTAIN ENFORCER!" Haidra shouted as she grappled out of the scene.
"GET BACK HERE, COWARD!" Shadow exclaimed after Haidra escaped.
A metal door slid open, revealing what Haidra ordered to be released.
A cyborg-like figure carrying a heavy-duty shield and metal shoulder pads appeared. The front of the shield carried the Militia symbol, black around with red around the outer protection areas. Separate protection for the sides, and protection above the head, making it harder to hit. While it didn't look like much of a threat, it had hidden features that awaited disaster…
"Did they really think that was gonna stop us?" Scarlet asked with genuine curiosity.
Soon, more riot-shielded cyborgs with heavier weapons appeared, all of them carrying helmets with skulls painted on them. Even the destroyed Bulldozer booted up and stood up like nothing happened.
The Vigilantes looked around as they were surrounded.
"Meet my newest invention - CAPTAIN ENFORCER!" Haidra started over the PA system. "You really have to be delusional to think I'll reveal what he is, but let's just say, ALL OF THEM WILL PACK A PUNCH AND SEND YOU THE FUCK HOME IN BODYBAGS!"
While everyone was confused about what she meant, only Shadow was slowly solving the puzzle in his mind. He immediately looked over where the Enforcer was.
PEW
CLANG
Spinelli looked at Arnold in extreme disappointment. "Hey, football for brains, did your brain get tossed around from endzone to endzone too much? How about using something with more FORCE?" She lowered her eyelids at him.
"No, listen! Haidra mentioned with Captain Enforcer present, they'll 'pack a punch', right?" Arnold started. They nodded as their backs were against each other. "I think I might've solved what she meant! By the looks of it, the Enforcer is robotic, which means he's connected to the software the rest of the riot shields and Bulldozers use!" Shadow explained.
"And your point is?" Nadine asked.
"As long as Captain Enforcer is present, their aggression will slowly increase, and they won't stop their assault until the Captain's gone!" Shadow looked at Trevon. "Trev, think you can do us that favor? I pinpointed where the Enforcer is, you should see a red blinking signal-" Trevon then jumped where he saw the red light.
Upon biting the shield to tear it off, surprisingly, it hurt his sharp teeth… "OW!" Trevon soon ripped away the shield from the Enforcer, but…
The Enforcer's aggression increased. Punching Trevon's legs, jumping up and kicking his snout, and emptied an entire clip of his SMG at his feet.
Trevon fell to his knees. "AUGH!..." More Bulldozers booted up. Trevon soon got up and started throwing punches at the Enforcer.
Captain Enforcer dodged every punch. Doing a 360 spin, he smacked Trevon's snout again.
POW
A loud sniper shot was heard. The bullet zipped by, going unnoticed, it hit the Enforcer right in the eye, making him take a few steps back as it hit its circuits.
"Looks like we found a weak point!" Spinelli jumped at the Enforcer with a heated blade.
CRASH
THUD
"EAT THIS, YOU PIECE OF SCRAP METAL!" Spinelli forcefully stabbed the Enforcer in the head, making sparks fly, overheating its circuits, system, and software. Twisting her glove blade, Spinelli took out Captain Enforcer.
The rest of the riot-shielded Enforcer minions and Bulldozers all shut down and collapsed since they were all booted up along with the Enforcer.
"That takes care of that." Spinelli stood up and looked back.
"You haven't seen the last of the Enforcer! THIS ENTIRE CITY WILL BE OVERRUN WITH THESE ENFORCERS! YOU'RE ONLY ASKING FOR A DEATH SENTENCE!" Haidra grappled up to one of the Militia helicopters.
Shadow was about to shoot a missile barrage, but Haidra dropped smoke pellets at them.
POOF
"SHIT! MY EYES!"
Haidra evilly laughed. "SUCK ON THAT!" The helicopter soon flew away after Haidra got on.
After the smoke cleared, they looked around to see that the warehouse was now dead, for the most part.
"Time to smoke this place…" Arnold said as he grabbed his hacking device to hand control of the warehouse power to Phoebe and Impulse.
After finding the main control panel, Shadow inserted the hacking device into the main computer. "All yours."
"Alright, just give us a minute and we should have everything shut down. Just let me bypass the firewall they use, and then I should add an alarm feature if they ever try to use it…" Phoebe replied as she got to work.
"Boy, these riot shields are something…" Nadine admired the Enforcer's shield. She then looked up at Trevon. "You okay, bud?"
Trevon shook it off. "I'll be fine, just wasn't expecting that shield to be that hard…"
Soon, Spinelli came up to Arnold and tapped his shoulder. "Uh, Arnold?" He looked back. "Look, about my comments…"
He smiled and kissed her forehead. "Spin, you don't have to worry about anything, ok?"
"Everything's done, just get out so I can fully shut that place down." Phoebe radioed in.
"Got it. Alright, guys, let's wrap it up here."
Later…
Around ten minutes passed by since shutting down the warehouse operations of the militia, back at the mansion, while everyone was mainly minding their business and doing their usual stuff, over with Spinelli…
She was down in the lair, sitting next to her Stealth Cycle and admiring her new custom helmet Arnold made for her. But despite the romantic and amazing act, she felt somewhat guilty of her comments earlier.
After checking in with their children, Arnold came down to the lair to find his wife, and he soon found her sitting next to her motorcycle.
He came up to her with a smile. "If it isn't the best Ashley in the entire world… What's with the long face?" He decided to sit next to her. "Spinelli, if this is about earlier, I already told you! You have nothing to worry about!" He kissed her cheek twice.
"Sometimes I wonder to myself how lucky I am to be with you, Arnold. And that's something I admire about you, how caring you are." Spinelli gave a small smile. Arnold kissed her cheek again. "I also wonder to myself how lucky I am to be with someone as passionate and fierce as you. And I'm more than grateful to have kids with you, and that our children are growing up with the best mother." He smiled. "Also, I got you a little something…" He pulled out a small box which contained…
"My skull earrings! B- How- Where'd you find them?! I've been looking like crazy for them since our date last week!"
"I have my secrets…" Arnold smirked. While gently rubbing the back of her ear, he started kissing her cheek again, only this time, he'd have a little more fun and started tickling her.
Spinelli giggled. "Come on, Arnold! Stop it already!"
After a few seconds of tickling her, Arnold gave one more passionate kiss on her cheek. "Glad I can make you feel better." He smirked.
Before Arnold stood up, Spinelli grabbed his shoulder. "Arnold? About the helmet…"
"Yeah?"
"Thanks… I genuinely love it. I couldn't have asked for anything better, or a better husband. You're the best, Arnold, and I love you." Spinelli smiled. She grabbed his hoodie and pulled him into a kiss, and soon the two fell over.
Arnold was pinned down by Spinelli as they kissed.
Later Throughout The Night
The QR Jet hovered above an abandoned building, shining a spotlight down there. Arnold, Spinelli, and Ariel were visiting an abandoned building, a building familiar to the married fighters.
After the QR Jet landed, the three of them soon got out.
Spinelli took a deep breath. "Man, it smells like rotting pizza or something." Arnold nodded in agreement. "When it was active, it smelled like food and plastic, somewhat." She decided to keep her skull earrings on.
"I remember when you two always took Pamela and Amelia here all the time in your spare time." Ariel mentioned. "Man, I remember being here as a kid too." Spinelli added.
Arnold noticed something odd. "Hey, I thought all the windows weren't boarded up, along with some functional lighting. That's odd." Ariel shrugged. "Maybe the city is planning something?"
They soon walked up to the entrance and walked in cautiously.
"Chubby Cheeses… Looks deserted as a desert, like always." Spinelli said. "Why the hell is it so dark in here? I thought the lights were somewhat functional last time we were here!"
The inside of the building had no lights, every window was boarded, and wasn't the same as how Arnold and Spinelli remembered it. The three of them lit their flashlights to look around. Arnold and Spinelli used their armor lighting.
Arnold picked up a bad smell. "Ugh… I don't think that's the smell of rotting pizza or crusty food or even of the old game machines…" He covered his nose.
THUD
A quiet thud was heard from somewhere in the building.
"What was that?" Ariel looked around. "Sounds like it might've come from over there." Arnold also looked around.
Spinelli then saw a weird trail of red fluid, which was also smothered. "Guys, look at this." She pointed her flashlight at it.
They slowly followed the trail. The trail led to the back storage area. Trashed metal pieces were on the floor from the old animatronics of the Chubby Cheeses. Not only old metal pieces were found, but old animatronic parts were scattered around, for example, an old endoskeleton piece and a torn-apart head.
"Jeez, this feels like a haunted place or some shit…" Ariel was starting to feel creeped out. "You're not wrong…" Spinelli replied.
The red trail ended at a closed storage door, where an old animatronic body was sitting there, scrapped and torn.
"Ugh…"
Arnold looked back at the two. "Alright, let's be careful, don't know what could be behind this. Ariel, stay behind us since you're the least protected." Arnold then signaled at Spinelli.
CRASH
THUD
She kicked the door down, only to reveal a bloody corpse with two paper notes…
"Oh my God…"
Arnold picked up one of the notes, which was a death note. "... If you go out, it'll be your last…" He read the note. Spinelli picked up the second note. "You shouldn't have double-crossed the cartel…" She read.
Arnold thought for a moment. "Cartel…? Haven't heard of many cartel crimes lately, but the only one that comes to mind is the gun and drug smugglers of Geno…" He dropped the note. "Ariel, get PD down here. I think because of this, it'll also get this building demolished but we'll have to see."
Minutes Later…
Police patrol cars and an ambulance were outside, siren lights flashing and illuminating the area.
After the two paramedics rolled out the stretcher with the corpse in a body bag, Commissioner Gallup walked up to the three.
"What the hell happened here, Shadow?" He asked. Shadow shrugged. "I really have no idea. We were only here to revisit this place, but we found a bunch of things out of place like all the lights were out, every window was boarded up, and we heard a strange noise in this closet. I'm assuming the body got slumped over." He explained.
"Alright, we'll take it from here." Commissioner Gallup soon went to his officers.
"Wonder who this guy even is…" Spinelli questioned. Arnold shrugged. "Don't know who this could've been, but I have a feeling the Militia could be involved… Either that, or maybe the cartel that was mentioned."
"We're yet to find out what the Militia are even doing." Spinelli shrugged. "It feels like thing after thing is piling on."
Arnold thought for a moment. "... Alright, you do have a point. First things first, find out the Bulldozers even more, and then find out what happened to Trevon and see whether more mutants are being tested on or what. Then we find out about the cartels, but Big Geno is the top cartel target, especially after what we found. Lastly, we have to figure out more about the Captain Enforcers, they're a lot stronger than we thought." He listed out. "Let's leave this for PD to figure out, let's head home and see where we start first." Ariel and Spinelli nodded as they soon walked out of the building.
"So much for any memories…" Spinelli shrugged. "We still have those memories regardless." Arnold rubbed her shoulder.
Back Home
After the QR Jet landed in the lair, Arnold, Spinelli, and Phoebe were discussing the Bulldozer blueprints Phoebe hacked into.
"So, the faceplate hides the entire motherboard?" Spinelli asked. "Exactly. Every part of it is heavily armored and designed to resist every attack you throw at it, but the hidden motherboard behind the faceplate is the weakness and destroys it instantly."
Meanwhile…
"We're throwing everything we have at them, how much longer before the main thing is ready, Sergeant!? I want them CRUSHED!" Haidra shouted at the Militia Sergeant. "We're still months away from operation, Boss!"
Haidra pressed a button on her blue robotic facemask. "I'm going after one thing, and one thing only… Revenge…" Behind the mask, was none other than Helga Geraldine Pataki… "Once the Vigilantes are out of the way, the entire world will be enslaved to us and the TYGER Forces!" She clenched her fist, replicating like she was squishing something. "Once they see what they're facing, they won't stand a chance and be forced to surrender… We studied everything about them, this can't possibly fail! Sergeant, prepare our Bulldozers and Enforcers, once our main project is finished, bring out our new combat experts! Both versions of them!"
"Right away, Boss!"
Well, that'll do it for this one. So, where will we start on the next chapter? You'll just have to find out in the next one...
