Fast Forward Two Weeks Later…

On a cold night, many FBI and SWAT vans and SUVs were outside a warehouse area, blue and red siren lights flashing as the front entrance opened, where an ambulance was waiting as a large aircraft hovered overhead the warehouse…

"MOVE IT! OUT OF THE WAY! CLEAR OUT! COME ON! " The Commissioner yelled as a group of SWAT units cleared out. The Commissioner was without his usual coat as paramedics came out with a wounded FBI agent. SWAT and FBI came out behind.

As paramedics wheeled the wounded agent to the ambulance, Commissioner Gallup directed one of his Sergeants to shut the streets down for a clean escort.

Soon after, he went on the radio himself as three shadowed figures finally stepped out of the warehouse.

"Oh, my goodness already…" A raspy-like female voice spoke, revealing to be none other than Spinelli.

Police squad cars and SUVs raced ahead before the ambulance started driving off. More squad cars and SUVs followed behind the ambulance as sirens wailed.

"Oh, dear…" Arnold said, with disappointment in his tone. "I- I guess we know where that missing agent was, huh?..." Trevon, the eight-feet-tall mutant spoke.

Arnold exhaled deeply. "I knew the Militia and TYGER forces were brutal… but that's another level…" He then looked at Spinelli. "At least we gave them a taste of their own punches." He then looked up at Trevon. "As for you… I don't think ripping two of them in half was exactly… necessary."

Trevon only shrugged, standing by his actions. Spinelli merely shook her head. "Death is too good for these bastards… Beating them to a pulp is the only answer." She looked at her knuckle, her glove covered in the soldiers' blood.

Arnold then noticed. "Wait a damn minute… Is this Haidra's game?"

"Game? What do you mean?" Trevon asked.

"Spinelli literally mentioned it… Death is too good for them…" Shadow looked up at the QR Jet. "I think I need to review those case files I've had lying around…"

As they continued their discussion, on a different rooftop, a shadowed figure was seen. Red eyes glowing in the dark, and what appeared to be built like a ninja… Its red eyes brightened once before he leaped away from the scene.

Right as it leaped away, a sudden slash was heard, sparks flying and fritzing out. Half of whoever that was, was now cut in half… After its head slammed against the rooftop, a foot stepped into the frame, it appeared to be a female leg since the mysterious figure's leg was skinny and was wearing heeled boots at the moment.

At The Militia Base…

The Mitlia Sergeant and Haidra were both there, overseeing the situation, along with their fallen soldiers.

Haidra clicked on her neck, letting her mask come open, revealing the Vigilantes arch nemesis… Helga G Pataki. "Looks like taking an FBI agent hostage wasn't enough, time to take it up a notch."

The Sergeant looked at her. "Who do we take next, Boss?"

Helga tapped repeatedly on the Sergeant's chair, thinking of their next hostage. "If I want to prove that they kill…. Then we're taking one of their own…" She glared at the screen. "Get Alastor on the line, I think we'll need to decide on who… But it's between these Alpha targets…" Haidra typed in a command and brought up her selected hostage targets.

The computer brought up three selected targets, only their nicknames with their profiles since their real identities were safe (Except from Haidra). Scarlet (Ashley Spinelli). Trickshot (Gerald Johanssen). And Serpent (Nadine).

Haidra squinted. "These three are perfect targets… I want them to suffer!" She clenched her left hand into a fist as she stared at the picture of Scarlet. As it zoomed into Scarlet's profile…

It transitioned over to the real Scarlet, currently in the lair, her face mask was off, and her neck covered with her suit as she leaned against a panel.

Her oldest daughter, Amelia, came up to her. "You ok, Mom?" She asked. Spinelli grabbed her head, pulling Amelia close to kiss her head. "I'm alright, honey, don't worry about me." Spinelli told her.

"... This is the Militia's second hostage this month, both hostages came out wounded. What's their endgame?" Phoebe looked at Arnold, who only stared at the screen with a serious look. He shook his head slightly. "I don't see anything connecting-" He snapped his fingers. "Pheebs. Cross-reference these cases, there has to be some connection between these!"

Phoebe began typing away. "Already a step ahead." She answered as Stella came walking over slowly, reading a random file she had found. "Arnold? Hon? Care to explain why you left this case file near Swoops on the couch?" Stella asked as she closed that file.

"Huh?" Arnold looked over, but Stella already set the file down next to him. "Don't let me catch another file lying around randomly or else…" Stella walked away.

Once Stella walked away, Spinelli looked at Amelia. "Oh. Amy. Remember, you got another practice session with your father and I, ok?" Amelia nodded. "Yeah, I remember, Mom." Spinelli softly smiled while rubbing her shoulder. "That's my girl."

Little did they know her training would be put to the test very soon…

For a moment, Arnold tried to think of any answer, but couldn't think of anything.

Meanwhile…

Meanwhile, at Hillwood's most wanted criminal organization (The Militia), Alastor and Haidra stood in front of the big monitors, debating who they should take hostage. Well, it was a unanimous decision…

"There is no doubt. Scarlet is our next target, now we just need a small little setup to lure her in…" Alastor said. Haidra shrugged smugly. "Pfft. All you need is a simple piece of cheese to lure in a rat. I think I have something… Remember that gun runner Gino?"

"What do they have to do with this?" Alastor looked at her.

"A simple gun run deal will lure her in… But in this case, I will have two of my guys waiting with Gino's guys." Haidra started, but Alastor shook his head. "She's too strong and agile! What makes you think six of them will take her down!?"

"Our Captain Enforcer is the only strongest thing to take her down… It'll strike when it knows when she's vulnerable…" Haidra clenched her fist, signifying it would crush Scarlet. "When do we set this supposedly 'deal' up?"

Haidra held her hand up, stopping his question. "Oh, that's not the end. Keep her at a different warehouse hostage, I'll have my men patrolling at that warehouse, those thugs can use her as their punching bag for all I care… Make her suffer…"

Alastor nodded. "Right. Sergeant, get Gino on the line, we have a deal to sort out now… He also owes us those guns he promised…"

"Right away, Boss." The Sergeant replied.

As he got Big Gino on the line, a red blinking appeared on their city map…

As it would immediately transition back to Amelia, in her suit similar to her mother's. Currently standing on a vent system of a warehouse, she reached for her hidden radio in her belt, switching channels.

"Hostage situation, eight armed (Militia) soldiers… What's your next step?" Stella radioed through her earpiece.

"Don't just tell me, show me what you're capable of." Stella said once more as she toggled a button on the AR training simulator.

One of the Militia soldiers went to grab the hostage and held him at gunpoint while using his hostage as a human shield.

Amelia scanned over the warehouse, taking in the 'situation' she was in. Taking a deep breath, Kathleen pressed a button on her wrist, triggering her facemask to close over half her face (nose & mouth). She knew she had to prove she stood on business.

Soon grappling over to a different section of the warehouse, it went back outside the training room where Arnold and Stella overlooked Amelia's practice session.

Arnold sighed deeply. "She grew up so fast… Feels like just a month ago she was a tiny and adorable little baby in Spinelli's arms…" Stella chuckled softly. "I feel the same way about you on a daily. You were so adorable as a baby." She smiled at her son.

Arnold smirked as he looked at his daughter. "I'm still adorable now." Stella shoved his shoulder away. "Arnold!" She laughed. "Can't say I exactly disagree, there's a reason why Spinelli married you." She shrugged with a smile.

"Two targets down, six to go." Impulse informed the two. "You ever feel like Amelia will be like her mother?" Stella asked.

Arnold nodded without hesitation. "Oh, definitely. She's tough, resilient, intelligent… she's on the right path." Stella nodded understandingly. "I see a part of Ashley in her… She just needs time to develop more."

Soon, Spinelli came over after a brief chat with Ariel. "What's going on here?" She asked and kissed both their cheeks.

Arnold pointed. "Take a look for yourself." He smiled

Dropping down onto a soldier, Amelia immediately backflipped, yanking the soldier by his throat and tossing him onto his face, and finishing him off with a loud punch to the back of his head. The simulation was such advanced tech it even replicated the loud bone-crunching sound of the soldier's skull.

Spinelli faked a wince. "Oooh." Stella and Arnold looked at her. Her eyes darted between the two. "What?"

A small smirk grew on Stella's face. "Neither of us taught her that… I assume someone else did?"

"What?" Spinelli questioned. "She had to learn sooner or later. Besides, she nailed that move!" Arnold playfully rolled his eyes. "How can I not love you?" He chuckled.

"Four down, four to go." Impulse informed. Stella shrugged. "Not exactly how I wanted her to learn that move… but, we'll need to have a small talk either way…" She raised an eyebrow as Spinelli.

Spinelli only gulped.

THUD

CRACK

After crushing another soldier, Stella and Arnold looked at Spinelli again. "Uh…."

"I'm starting to worry whether Amelia's on the right path now…" Stella started. "She can't be developing those violent moves this early!"

Spinelli scratched the back of her head. "I… That's the only move I taught her, I swear!"

Back in the AR (Augmented Reality) simulation, Amelia swooped down, yanking a soldier back up to the gargoyle she was on. She immediately let go of the soldier.

"UH- AAAAAAAAHH!-" Amelia got his feet tied up and around the gargoyle, just like her parents.

After a few minutes, Impulse called in. "Sir, Ma'am, my sincerest apologies, but I received a 911 call of suspicious activity. Figured Sarge could send down two units."

Sarge was Arnold's rank, practically, Spinelli was also a Sergeant with her husband. Miles and Stella are the highest out of their league as Commander/Detective and Chief.

Arnold soon looked at Spinelli. "Alright, you and Trevon, go check it out. You know the procedure." Spinelli nodded and decided to go ahead since she knew Trevon would meet up with her at the designated address.

Sprinting over to her Stealth Cycle, Spinelli hopped on and got her helmet. Revving the motorcycle, getting the headlights on, and racing out of the lair.

Later…

Racing through the streets, a pair of headlights finally showed up at the address, where a mutant wolf was leaning against a street light, reading a newspaper he found lying around…

Spinelli got off her motorcycle and took her helmet off. "You took your time." Trevon tossed the newspaper away. Spinelli merely chuckled. "Yeah yeah, laugh it up. You use your abilities to your advantage. Besides, I don't mind sticking to the road since I have this baby." Spinelli left her helmet on the left handle and adjusted her belt.

She then motioned ahead. "C'mon." Spinelli told Trevon as she grabbed both her Sai.

Cautiously walking on the front porch, Scarlet peered at the window. Inside, she saw the place abandoned. She gave the go-ahead for Trevon to punch the door down. He nodded.

CRASH

THUD

Punching the door away from the door frame, Scarlet stepped inside with the mutant wolf following behind her.

Scarlet's eyes darted back and forth as she stepped forward cautiously.

Soon walking forward, stopping in the kitchen area, Spinelli saw a bag filled with drugs. She looked around to see if anyone was home, but while it felt like they were alone, they weren't…

Trevon also looked around, but his vision was pretty limited since he was pretty tall.

Suddenly, two Militia soldiers came out with stun sticks and stabbed Trevon, shocking him with max voltage with modifications…

Scarlet turned around and already saw Trevon dropping unconscious. She turned around, only to see a mysterious red-eyed figure taking a swing at her.

Scarlet immediately countered the attack, but the mysterious figure immediately shook himself loose. Kicking Scarlet's ribs and uppercutting her, stunning her, and making her let go of her weapons, a needle slid down from its sleeve.

Immediately spinning the needle in its hand, Scarlet tried to counter fast despite being winded, the red-eyed figure immediately stabbed her in the arm.

Scarlet's eyelids slowly closed, and soon dropped near Trevon…

One Militia soldier got on his earpiece. "Targets are neutralized. Bringing the primary target and leaving the secondary."

The robotic-like voice spoke. "Great work. Bring them to the warehouse we decided on. How did our new project do?" Haidra asked. "Did wonders, Boss. Knocked Scarlet out like she was nothing." The soldier replied.

The red-eyed figure looked at Scarlet, and back at the soldiers. "Looks like we found our new ninjas… That new change of plans by Alastor worked." Haidra said.

As it faded out with the scene on the unconscious Scarlet and Trevon…

The Next Morning…

While it didn't take long for the Vigilantes that Spinelli and Trevon were missing all night, currently six in the morning, and heading over to where Spinelli's Stealth Cycle GPS tracker was last located at.

Sliding down from the QR Jet rope tethers, Arnold immediately went over to the abandoned motorcycle, which still had Spinelli's helmet, only that the visor was stained.

He stood for a moment, almost speechless and fearing the worst… "Sarge?" Sapphire spoke.

Shadow looked back. "Sapphire, search this ENTIRE block overhead! You two, search this house!" He told Sapphire, Gerald, and Nadine.

They all nodded silently. Sapphire soon flew away as Trickshot and Serpent went inside the house.

Shadow took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. "Uh… Ariel, you see anything overhead?" He asked over the earpiece.

Overhead in the QR Jet, Ariel looked around, her eyes darting over certain areas. "Um… Nothing up here, Sarge."

"HEY! SARGE! TREV IS STILL HERE!" Nadine shouted. Shadow looked over and immediately went inside the house.

Trevon slowly sat up, holding his lower back which stung in pain. "OW- Ugh…"

Shadow walked up to him. "Trev, you ok?" Trevon slowly nodded. "I- I think so…"

"What even happened here?" Nadine asked as Gerald looked at the floor behind her. "Hey, guys, look." He crouched down.

Everyone looked down as Gerald swiped a finger over the small area, of what appeared to be blood.

"I- I don't even know what happened. All I felt were two sticks stinging me… Next thing I know, I see Scarlet fighting off a ninja. B- But that ninja countered her every move and fought her off like she was nothing… And the last thing I remember is being stung by a needle or two…" Trevon explained.

"It's not your fault, Trev… Ok?" Nadine rubbed his arm. "Let's get you back to the lair and we'll figure out who kidnapped Scarlet and where she's at."

Shadow exhaled sharply as his left arm flopped. "Checked in with Impulse, her suit GPS must be damaged, I'm not getting a signal." He suddenly felt his stomach nauseous. "Ok… Ask nearby neighbors, any piece of evidence is valuable! Whoever did this… we'll find them. I wanna know everything about whoever did this. Every. Little. Thing." Arnold pointed down firmly, and firmly reassuring everyone.

Looks like we're already starting things off with a bang, aren't we? But anyways, that'll conclude this new chapter, and if you want to see what's next... you'll just have to stay tuned... I'll see you in the next chapter!
