Chapter 82: Lucifer's Palace and Goro's Last Stand
November 6th. Charlie and Lars were watching Charlie's father, Lucifer Morningstar, on the news. He spoke out about The Phantom Thieves and how he was gonna handle it.
"I believe the best source of power is to move Extermination Day to December 24th." He said,
"What?!" Charlie and Lars both shouted,
"I must get rid of those Thieves and protect all of Hell like it's an entire kingdom. I'll keep you all updated on December 3rd. You do not want to miss it."
Charlie turned off the TV.
"December 24th is Christmas Eve…" She said, "My father hates the holiday season…"
"Yeah, I can tell." Lars said,
Bernie entered again.
"Stolas told me everything on the phone." He said, "Thanks for giving me his number, Charlie."
"You're welcome." Charlie said, "And, what did Stolas say about Paimon?"
"King Paimon had greater plans than Lucifer for Hell domination without telling Lucifer about it. Stolas overheard it all."
"Ok, first we dealt with his shitty ex-wife and now we gotta deal with his deadbeat dad." Lars said,
"Well, he arranged the marriage between his son and Stella years ago and told Stella about the plans to take over the fortune and the family."
"Ahh, so he's even got Stella backing him up? Yeah, Charlie, once we're done with your father, Stolas's father is next!"
"Woah, I have to warn you, my father Lucifer and King Paimon are both serious business." Charlie said, "They're the most powerful demons here in Pride and maybe all of Hell!"
"Right… Well, I'm sure we'll take care of them, Phantom Thieves style!"
"Good luck with that." Bernie said, "I hope some miracle can occur for you all."
"Thanks."
November 12th.
I recovered and was wearing a hoodie to hide my identity as Charlie gave us the address to where Lucifer's castle is at. Today was the day for me and The Phantom Thieves to see if Lucifer has a palace, so that we can change his heart in The Cognitive World Of Hell.
We were outside of Lucifer's castle for us to get started.
"Right, this is it…" Cattleya said, "No guards are outside, so this is good…"
Astrid pulled out her phone and opened up the metaNav app.
"Are we ready?" She asked us,
"Ready, more than ever." Cattleya replied,
"Ok… Lucifer Morningstar."
"Hit." The metaNav app said,
"King of Hell and Ruler of Pride." Arthur said,
"Hit."
"Abuses his power to corrupt Pride and all of Hell." Lars said,
"Hit."
"Now we need a word to describe his Palace." Cattleya said,
"I got one." Lars said, "Kingdom."
"Results found." The metaNav app said,
We were surprised.
"Woah! That was the word?!" Arthur shouted, "Who could have seen that coming."
"I can't believe I got that right." Lars said, "But I don't care, let's get this done, once and for all!"
"Beginning navigation." The metaNav app said,
In The Cognitive World Of Hell, we all arrived in some sort of village of crowded and poor houses.
Huh, we're in a village." Boris said,
"I guess this is how he views the people recently." Arthur said, "He sees them as nothing but useless."
"Makes sense, since that castle over there is fancy." Lars said,
We all saw the castle on a hill. Astrid then turned around and gasped.
"Guys, look." She said,
We turned and noticed that there's clouds below us.
"Are we on a giant floating land?!" Lars said,
"Seems likely." Cattleya said, "Maybe Lucifer views the clouds as other rings as he only cares about Pride."
We looked back at the castle again.
"So that's Lucifer's palace." Lars said, "A castle surrounding a poor and corrupted kingdom. Much like Pride."
"I'd be damned if Lucifer's Shadow is some sort of egotistical king here." Selene said,
"Well, let's get to it!" Cattleya said,
We turned into our Phantom Thief outfits as we sneakily ran through the poor houses. We even saw guards roaming the kingdom.
"So these guards are probably the increased security Lucifer has in Pride." Cattleya said, "No worries, that will all go away, eventually."
When we headed to the main palace, which resembles a rich castle, the entrance was blocked.
"Entrance is blocked." Lars said, "Guess we gotta find another way from here."
"Definitely, but right now, let's head back." Cattleya said, "We gotta talk to Charlie and tell her that her father does have a palace."
"Right."
Darnell meanwhile was inside as he watched us leave.
"I'm gonna change Lucifer's heart myself." He said, "I don't need them…"
November 13th.
We were back in the real world as we chatted with Charlie.
"So my Dad does have a Palace, yeah?" She asked us, "This Phantom Thieves stuff is still new to me since you all told me that stuff, a week ago."
"Don't worry, we'll change his heart." Cattleya said, "But the entrance in his Cognitive palace is blocked. Is there another way in?"
"Does the rooftop work? There's usually a window inside my father's throne room where he would look down at all of Pride."
"I see, so a rooftop in his palace… We'll get there in the meantime. For now, How's Blitz doing?"
"He's… Fine. He's very hesitant on finishing off this Goro guy…"
November 15th.
It was night time. Blitzø was walking around Pride, trying to find Moxxie, Millie and Loona.
"Mox! Millie! Loonie! Where the fuck are you three?!" He shouted,
Then, Blitzø received a phone call from someone. He answered it.
"Hello?" He answered,
"Hello, is this Blitz with a silent O?" A familiar voice said to him,
"Yeah? Who's this?"
"You're looking for your co-workers and daughter, yeah?"
"What the fuck did you do to them?! You're Goro Akechi, aren't you?!"
"They're here with me, on the roof of the business you all work at."
"The roof?! Oh fuck!"
Blitzø hung up the call and went there. He got into his van and drove back to his workplace. There, he went up the stairs to the roof to see Goro Akechi, waiting for them.
"Akechi, you motherfucker!" He shouted,
"Dad!" Loona's voice shouted,
Blitzø turned to see Moxxie, Millie and Loona tied up and weakened.
"No, no, no!" He shouted as he turned to Goro, "What the FUCK did you do to them?!"
"I went after them while you left early." Goro replied, "Now it's your turn as you will all die together under my hands."
Blitzø clenched his fists.
"Do not… fuck with…" He said as he pulled out a gun and aimed it at Goro, "MY FAMILY!"
"Family?" Goro said,
Blitzø fired a shot at Goro. Goro avoided the shot and started to attack Blitzø. Then, by kicking him down, Goro started to conduct a black suit and mask around him, making him go berserk. He was laughing menacingly.
"Oh, a psychopath!" Blitzø said, "No wonder why you ate pancakes and killed Ren when he was human!"
"DIE!" Goro shouted as he launched himself towards Blitzø and the two wrestled it out,
"Get 'em, Blitz!" Millie shouted,
"Fuck him up!" Loona shouted,
"Make sure he stays dead this time, Sir!" Moxxie shouted,
Blitzø then punched Goro in the face a couple times as he got his gun and pointed at him.
"Had enough?" He asked him,
"Does it look like I had enough?!" Goro shouted,
Goro then shot out magical feathers at Blitzø, hurting him a bit.
"GAH!" He shouted as he fell to one knee,
Goro chuckled menacingly as he slowly got up.
"Is that all you got?" He asked Blitzø,
Blitzø tried to get up, but was knocked right back down by Goro.
"Blitz!" Millie shouted,
"Oh crumbs, he's tougher than we thought!" Moxxie shouted,
Goro then laughed menacingly as he got Blitzø up.
"Now… It's time for you all to say goodnight!" He shouted, "Any last–"
Then, a dark magical beam appeared in front of Goro.
"What the?!" He shouted, "What is this random madness all of a sudden?!"
A dark figure appeared and attacks Goro.
"GAHHH!" He shouted in pain, "WHAT ARE YOU?!"
Blitzø then took out his angelic gun.
"Case closed, bitch!" He shouted,
Blitzø then fired his angelic gun at Goro's head, killing him.
"Fucking finally! He did it!" Loona shouted,
The dark figure turned into a normal being, revealing Stolas himself.
"You should thank me later." He said, "For now, there's a lot of things going on that we should focus on."
"Right, thanks Stolas." Blitzø said,
"Anytime, Blitzy."
"Don't call me that. I'm gonna go untie my family. Wanna help?"
"Certainly."
