Chapter 84: The Fight Against Lucifer's Shadow

We were then back to The Cognitive World Of Hell in Lucifer's Palace. The place was highly guarded after we sent out a calling card to the real Lucifer. Now we gotta see if Lucifer's Shadow is able to appear as well as the treasure.

We were sneaking through the palace again after coming through from the rooftops as usual.

We then made it to the doors to the throne room.

"Alright, this is it." Cattleya said, "We are gonna change Lucifer's heart and change Hell the way we wanted it to be!"

"Let's do this!" Lars shouted,

We went inside and saw Lucifer sitting on his throne. He had yellow eyes, but wore his usual outfit like the real Lucifer. It was Lucifer's Shadow.

"Lucifer!" Cattleya shouted,

Shadow Lucifer looked at us.

"So, you all came here to steal my treasure, huh?" He said, "Pathetic. You young hellborns have nothing on your minds. But, that Sinner who's the leader of your group… He pisses me off the most."

"Well we're all pissed off at you!" Lars shouted, "My mom is paralyzed from the waist down and you didn't do a damn thing!"

"You and that Mammon asshat didn't do shit when my parents were killed in The Cognitive World!" Cattleya shouted,

"My mother was killed because you didn't want her to showcase the research on mental shutdowns and psychotic breakdowns!" Astrid shouted,

"You didn't do anything when your Overlords did some nasty shit to others!" Willow shouted, "Like Velvette and Valentino!"

"Including Vox!" Boris shouted,

"Our families were dead under Vox's hands and you didn't even punish Vox!" Selene shouted, "But instead you gave him a slap on the wrist!"

"You even let Paimon control his own family!" Arthur shouted, "And my parents were dead because of you, correct?!"

Shadow Lucifer chuckled menacingly a bit as he got up from his throne.

"Of course, I had to make sure that none of that ever existed." He replied as he turned around, "All I wanted was to have you Sinners and Hellborns of Pride to suffer. The same goes for the other rings…"

"So you never cared about us…" Arthur said, "Alright, what about your own daughter, Charlie?"

"Charlie, huh?"

"Yeah, her." Boris replied, "She wants to create a hotel to try and redeem a sinner."

"Hrgh… My own daughter… She disappoints me. I always told her to NEVER take shit from anyone, but she never listens…"

"So… You just let her do her business?" Selene wondered,

"That, but she's ruining my name ever since The Phantom Thieves came along and changed the hearts of Velvette, Valentino and Vox."

Shadow Lucifer looked at us while he was still from behind.

"And so I waited." He said, "Without her or my wife knowing, I waited for an answer to silence it all. And so I turned to my trusted colleague, King Paimon of Ars Goetia."

"Of course Paimon…" Arthur said,

"So we came up with a plan. I had to bring someone from Earth to follow along with the plan to stop the Phantom Thieves from ever daring to take shit from others under their way!"

"That's where Goro came in…" Cattleya said, "Goro Akechi."

"Correct. Before he was killed by those Imps, I gave him the details. Also, I knew that he was gonna die because Paimon and I heard it all in our disguises."

"You already knew?!" Willow shouted, "By stalking us?!"

"It wasn't stalking, but rather spying. He told us how to do it really well."

"You and Paimon are sick in the head." Lars said, "Tell Paimon once we're done with you, he's next!"

Shadow Lucifer chuckled as he turned around and looked at us.

"Would you like a deal?" He asked us, "I'll give you a fortune, if you can forget about any of this."

"Not happening." I replied,

"No?"

"Yeah, no! We're never gonna give in to any of your temptations!" Cattleya shouted, "No matter how much you're giving us, our answers will always be the same!"

Shadow Lucifer sighed as he then sat back on his throne.

"Oh well, I guess things won't work out between us." He said as he pushed a button a part of the throne,

The part of the throne and stairs to it started to rise up. We were confused as we saw a cage full of something.

"There's no need for you so-called thieves in MY Hell." Shadow Lucifer said, "I'll use those that agree to suffer under my conditions to take you all down with me!"

"Huh?!" Lars shouted, "The fuck are you doing now?!"

A dark flame surrounded Shadow Lucifer as his normal outfit was gone. He's now wearing a suit of armor with a helmet representing his crown. He carried his staff like a sword and chuckled at us.

"I hate to be that person, but all good things must come to an end, unfortunately." Shadow Lucifer said as he snapped his fingers,

The cages were opened, revealing 3 demonic duck monsters as they came out and roared at us.

"What the fuck are these things?!" Astrid shouted,

Shadow Lucifer then jumps down and starts to ride on one of them.

"I always knew you Phantom Thieves are but bad apples, and my only good apple on my staff will represent everything that Pride was meant to be!" He shouted as he pointed his duck monsters at us with his magical staff, "Now, time to dance with the devil in the pale moonlight!"

The demonic duck monsters roared more.

"Get them!" Shadow Lucifer shouted,

The demonic duck monsters then ran towards us. We jumped up and dodged.

"Our leader and many other Sinners have gone through shit because of you!" Lars shouted,

"The same goes for us Hellborns!" Boris shouted,

Lars and Boris took off their masks to awaken their Personas, Mad Hatter and Ullr. They fired away Agidyne fire magic and Bufudyne ice magic at the two smaller demonic duck monsters. They were weakened as they were weak to fire and ice.

"We'll take care of them!" Willow said as she and Selene were up next,

"Let's take to the skies!" Selene shouted,

Neith and Evaki were summoned after Willow and Selene took off their masks. Neith shot out Ziodyne lightning at one of the duck monsters while Evaki shouted out Garudyne wind magic at another, killing them both.

"Atta boys and girls!" Cattleya shouted,

Shadow Lucifer clenched his fists.

"Useless pawns…" He said as he made his demonic duck monster that he rode on roared more, "Kill them!"

Shadow Lucifer's demonic duck monster then slashed at us with its giant claws. Astrid made us faster thanks to Jingu.

"That thing is tough!" Astrid shouted, "It doesn't have a weakness of any kind!"

"Guess we gotta take it down before going after Lucifer's Shadow!" Cattleya said, "Come on, Tango!"

"Right!" Arthur said, "Here we go, Pirate!"

Cattleya took off her mask to awaken Anne Bonny. Anny Bonny then created a Swords Dance with her swords to attack the duck monster with it. Montezuma appeared as Arthur took off his mask. Montezuma then shot out Megidola Almighty magic at the duck monster. It was weakened a bit.

"Right, now's out–" Astrid said as she stopped everyone, "--Wait a minute!"

The duck monster then started to shake as it grew giant wings all of a sudden.

"Wings?!" Lars shouted,

"Ha ha ha! Finally!" Shadow Lucifer shouted, "This one is not as useless as I thought!"

The duck monster then started to fly up in the air. Shadow Lucifer looked down at us and fired some of his magic at us. We avoided his firing as we got out guns and bow and fired it at the duck monster to try and slow it down.

"Oh, you all think that's gonna do anything?!" Shadow Lucifer said as he used his staff to power up his monster, "Try and survive this!"

The duck monster then shot out a beam of magic from its mouth at us. We dodged it as we looked at Shadow Lucifer laughing at us.

"Why are you all so afraid?!" He shouted, "Try and attack it!"

"Joker, try and attack it yourself!" Astrid shouted, "Try and find a weak spot!"

"On it!" I said,

I took off my mask to summon one of my Personas.

"Horus!" I shouted,

Horus appeared and shined Kougaon bless magic at the duck monster, blinding it.

"No! My monster!" Shadow Lucifer shouted, "It's blind!"

The duck monster then fell to the ground. We all surrounded Shadow Lucifer and the monster, pointing our weapons at them.

"You brats have no idea what this all means to me!" Shadow Lucifer said, "If I lose right here, then I'm nothing!"

"Well you're about to be nothing!" Boris shouted, "So deal with it, bitch!"

"On three!" Cattleya shouted, "Fuck it, go!"

We performed an all-out attack on the demonic duck monster, but Lucifer quickly jumped out of the duck monster as we annihilated the monster to dust. Shadow Lucifer was seen midair.

"Fine, if I can't have my pawns take down The Phantom Thieves…" He said,

Shadow Lucifer then took off his chestplate and crowned helmet as he revealed his magical cape and biceps. He landed on the ground and channeled his magic.

"Then I'll take them all down myself!" He shouted, "And I WILL win this trickster game!"

"This power…" Astrid said as Jingu was feeling her head, "It's so much different now that he doesn't have his monsters… I don't know what, but I can tell that it's more powerful now!"

"Come at me! Or don't because I can still come after you all!"

Shadow Lucifer then launches towards us with his magical staff and swings it at us like a blade. He started to attack Arthur, but Arthur clashed with him with his fencing sword.

"Well, he is powerful alright!" Arthur said,

"For a Goetia demon, you're nothing without the royal life!" Shadow Lucifer shouted as he dashed back and blasted Arthur away with his magic, "Rebel all you want, but you'll NEVER be like the higher-ups!"

Willow came up to attack Shadow Lucifer with her machete. Shadow Lucifer blocked her attack.

"Oh Satan, what do we have here?" He said to her, "You shouldn't have kept your mouth to yourself if you want to talk shit about my Overlords!"

Shadow Lucifer then blasted Willow away with his magic. Boris came by to attack him next with his axe. Shadow Lucifer then blasted his axe out of his hands.

"You should have gone back to Gluttony and party with my sister!" He said to Boris, "But instead you want to try and stop me?!"

Shadow Lucifer then blasted Boris away as well.

"Pathetic!" He shouted,

Selene then ran with her spear in her hands to try and impale Shadow Lucifer, but Shadow Lucifer kicked Selene's spear out of her hands.

"I have nothing to say about you." He said to her, "So take this!"

Shadow Lucifer blasted Selene away too. Cattleya was next to attack him with her pirate sword. The two clashes.

"If you wanna change Hell, why don't you go after Mammon instead of me?!" He shouted at her,

"Oh we'll deal with Mammon in the meantime!" Cattleya shouted, "But you and Paimon are the real deal here in Pride!"

"Can the real deal do this?!"

Shadow Lucifer then leg sweeped Cattleya and blasted her away with his magic.

"I guess not!" He shouted,

Lars was next as he had his wood saw with him.

"And you!" Shadow Lucifer shouted as he looked at him, "...You're not bad. You're from Lust, but you don't act like those freaks that Ozzie has to deal with! He's right, Lust is truly an art and not all about sex!"

Willow got back to her feet and smiled at Lars, vice versa. Willow took off her mask to summon Neith and attacked Ozzie with Ziodyne lightning.

"GAH!" He shouted in pain,

"Thanks, babe!" Lars shouted as he jumped in the air and took off his mask to awaken Mad Hatter, "Hey Lucifer! Heads up!"

Mad Hatter then shot out Agidyne flame balls at Shadow Lucifer. I stepped in and awakened Horus again to create Megidolaon Almighty magic on him.

"Did we get him?!" Cattleya shouted as she was brought up by Astrid,

Astrid then gasped as she saw the aftermath of the explosion caused by me and Lars didn't finish him.

"No, look!" Astrid shouted,

Suddenly, 4 black angel wings were spread.

"This bastard grew wings?!" Lars shouted as he was surprised,

Shadow Lucifer flew up in the air as his cape and staff weren't there. He has 4 wings, 2 extra arms, a spiked halo and a 3rd eye on him. He was also a little larger now.

"Fools!" He shouted, "You'll never take me down! I am the embodiment of Pride!"

Shadow Lucifer then blasted my friends away as he then created a circle out of his magic to trap me in with him.

"Joker!" Astrid shouted, "Shit, what the hell is happening now?!"

"That guy is more powerful than ever!" Boris shouted, "Look at him, it's like he's a biblically accurate angel of some sort!"

"Well he is a fallen angel like Charlie after all!" Lars shouted,

"Joker can't lose here!" Cattleya shouted, "We're so close to defeating him, but Joker has to finish him off by himself!"

"Joker! If you can hear us, it's up to you to take him down!" Arthur shouted, "The fate of Hell rests in your hands!"

I can still hear them. I nodded as I was face-to-face with Shadow Lucifer. His hands were glowing with his magic and he was breathing heavily with rage. I've come this far, so I can't lose here!

Shadow Lucifer then readies up for another attack.

"Alright, it's just you and me!" He shouted, "Considering that you're the leader and a Sinner, prepare for some serious discipline!"

Shadow Lucifer then flew towards me with a magical blast. I dodged as I started my attack on him. I took off my mask to summon a Persona.

"Trumpeter!" I shouted,

Trumpeter appeared and created a heavy blast of Mafreidyne nuclear magic at Lucifer from his trumpet, damaging and stunning him.

"GRAH!" Shadow Lucifer shouted as he broke free and tries to attack me again,

I dodged and called forth another Persona.

"Alice!" I shouted,

Alice appeared and creeped the hell out of Shadow Lucifer.

"What is that freaky thing?!" He shouted,

Alice then blasted out Maeigaon curse magic at Shadow Lucifer.

Shadow Lucifer then spreads his wings again and fires out more of his magic at me. I avoided and called forth another Persona.

"Lucifer!" I shouted,

"Huh?!" Shadow Lucifer shouted,

Lucifer, same name, but this time a Persona appeared. Shadow Lucifer was confused.

"Trying to steal my name, huh?!" He shouted at me, "Pathetic of you!"

I smiled as my Persona, Lucifer, fired off a severe Almighty magic at Shadow Lucifer, but Shadow Lucifer powered through it and tried to attack me here. I summon another Persona to counteract.

"Arsene De Luxe!" I shouted,

Arsene De Luxe appeared as he absorbed Lucifer's attack and used it on Shadow Lucifer.

"You're nothing to my power." I said,

"N-No!" Shadow Lucifer said,

"Checkmate."

Arsene De Luxe then refired the severe Almighty magic at Shadow Lucifer.

"GAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" He shouted as he was blasted into the attack,

Shadow Lucifer was defeated.
