Reunion
After the Destruction of the 12 colonies by the Cylons, the Surviving Colonial fleet were on the run from a huge cylon attack fleet searching to end the Human threat that they would pose. The colonial Fleet is under the command of newly Promoted Rear Admiral (lower half) William Adama and they left the asteroid field that they were in to using to refuel their ships. William Adama the Commander of Battlestar Galactica was promoted by President Laura Roslin with his years of Experience with the Cylons and that he was the most experienced colonial officer to lead the Colonial Fleet to Earth. As a year pasted of evading Cylon empire forces and trying to find their way to Earth Admiral Adama and the Battlestar Galactica was able to destroy 2 Cylon Basestar ships with over 700 cylon fighters. They have just recently found another Battlestar: Battlestar Pegasus under the Command of Rear Admiral(upper half) Cain*. When Admiral Adama came in contact with Admiral Cain and the Battlestar Pegasus he saw on Battlestar Galactica's DRADIS Radar that Pegasus has a massive civilian Fleet with her and was tailing a Cylon fleet that was tracking something big. When she and her fleet jumped to get ahead of the Cylon fleet that found the Battlestar Galactica Under the command of now Newly promoted Rear Admiral(lower half), Admiral Adama and that he has a Massive Civilian fleet that he was protecting from the Cylons.
The following is just on how the Galactica and Pegasus Vapor pilot's 1st meet each other among; As well a conversion between Admirals Cain and Adama:
Lt. Kendra Shaw a Raptor pilot from the Pegasus, looks out into space, tense and alert. She spots a Raptor approaching from a distance; Lt. Kendra "Unidentified Raptor, this is Lt. Kendra Shaw of the Battlestar Pegasus. Identify yourself."
Lt. Kara "Starbuck" Thrace, the Raptor pilot from the Galactica, responds, equally cautious; Starbuck "This is Starbuck from the Galactica. We're just here to confirm IDs. Stay sharp." As the 2 Raptors cautiously approach each other, scanning for any signs of deception.
Lt. Kendra "Galactica, this is Pegasus. Confirming IDs now."
Starbuck "Roger that, Pegasus. Confirming IDs on our end." The two Raptors fly side by side, examining each other's markings and hull details.
Lt. Kendra "Confirmed. These are Galactica Raptors."
Starbuck "Confirmed. These are Pegasus Raptors." The tension in the cockpit eases, replaced by a sense of realization.
Admiral Helena Cain was stand on her ships bridge look at the DRADIS Radar monitoring the encounter and then ordered her communications officer to open a channel to unknown ship's command bridge claiming to be the Galactica and she speaks into her radio phone in a commanding and curious tone, Admiral Cain "This is Admiral Cain of the Pegasus to the Galactica actual have your commanding officer answer and respond to confirm ID's."
In response to Admiral Cain's message Admiral William Adama, standing in Galactica's(CIC), got on the radio to speak directly to Admiral Cain in an equally commanding, curious and cautious tone, Admiral Adama "This Admiral Adama of the Galactica. Admiral Cain is that you I thought you were dead?"
Admiral Cain in a now calm and grateful tone, Admiral Cain "Adama it's good to see you as well we that you to were dead. How did you guys survive the fall of the colonies?"
Admiral Adama in an equally calm and grateful tone "I could ask you the same thing Admiral we could discuss this later once me meet in person."
Admiral Cain "Copy have Adama I will take a raptor along with my command staff as soon as Possible to meet up with you in your Battlestar Hanger pad 1."
Admiral Adama "Very well Admiral Cain both myself and my crew will prepare to meet you in person." With that of them ended their calls and each began to make prepares to meet each other; As well with their Viper and raptor pilots exchanged greets and still talking to see if what they are seeing is real or not.
The scout ships complete their maneuvers, and the confirmation process is successful. Starbuck and Helo exchange nods. Starbuck "It's Confirmed, Helo. They're legit."
Helo "Confirmed on our end too, Starbuck. Galactica is the real deal."
Scene: Galactica's Hanger pad 1; Admiral Cain's command Raptor has landed in the hanger and after a minute of waiting the door to the raptor opened and Admiral Cain and her command staff came up of the raptor and saw the whole crew of the Galactica present. Admiral Cain made her way to where Admiral Adama was and after within coming in a few ft. away from Adama she stopped. After she stopped, she saw Admiral Cain give her a Military salute to which she returned in kind. Admiral Cain in a calm and curious tone "Admiral Adama it's a pleasure to finally meet you in person. I'm happy that both you and your crew has survived and protecting a massive civilian fleet just like we are."
Admiral Adama in a calm and relieved tone, Admiral Adama "Admiral Cain it's a pleasure to see you as well.(She then turned her attention to the rest of the crew of the Galactica.) It good to see all. It's a relief to see that we're no longer the only ones left. Welcome back to the Colonial Fleet." In respond both Pegasus crew she brought with her and the entire Galactica erupted in joy and relief and give each warm hugs and greets. As it continues Admiral Cain turned her attention to Admiral Adama and in a calm commanding tone "Admiral Adama can you after giving me a few hours to go over some of your reports to catch up to come over to my ready room on the Pegasus for a private meeting to discuss a few things privately."
Admiral Adama in a calm tone "Of course I was going to ask you roughly the same the thing in allowing me to go over some of your reports to catch up and invite you to come over to my ready room for a private meeting to discuss a few things privately."
Admiral Cain "Very well Admiral Adama I'll contact over radio to tell you when I'll ready to meet you in my ready room."
Admiral Adama "Very well Admiral Cain." After saying that he again saluted to her in a respect and Admiral Cain returned the salute in kind and they both left to continue their daily duties.
Flashforward a few hours..
In the Int. Admiral Cain's ready room aboard the Pegasus both Admirals Cain and Adama were talking in their respective seats across from each other. Admiral Cain(leaning back) "Adama, I never thought I'd see the day. How the hell have you been?"
Admiral Adama just smiling in return and in a calm tone "Cain, surviving. It's been a hell of a journey. You?"
Admiral Cain(raising an eyebrow) "Surviving is an understatement. We've been through battles that would make anyone question if we're still human."
Admiral Adama(nodding) "I can imagine. We've had our share of close calls too. But here we are."
Adama and Cain exchange a nod, acknowledging the shared struggle.
Admiral Cain(looking around) "I've got to say, I thought we were the last of the Colonial Fleet. What's the story with your civilian fleet?"
Admiral Adama(smiling) "It's a long story, Cain. We've had some unexpected surprises and now hopefully some Family unions between families that may have been separated in the fall of the colonies in the civilian fleet you brought with you."
Admiral Cain(raising an eyebrow) "Reunions and surprises? You've got my curiosity. Care to share?"
Admiral Adama(chuckling) "Well, for starters, Laura Roslin is now the President of the colonies."
Admiral Cain(surprised) "Laura Roslin? The former Secretary of Education? I thought all the government officials were killed."
Admiral Adama(smiling) "Not all of them. Roslin has been leading us with courage and resilience. She's managed to keep our spirits up."
Admiral Cain takes a moment to process this unexpected information.
Admiral Cain(leaning forward) "Well, I'll be damned. I thought I'd seen it all."
The conversation takes a turn as the topic shifts to their leadership styles, causing a subtle tension in the room.
Admiral Adama(Leaning in) "Admiral Cain from what I have read from your files and reports are the more aggressive, tactical and impulsive type of Military officer."
Admiral Cain had a moderately annoyed angry look on her face and leaning forward to Admiral Adama "Yes I'm Admiral Adama and from what I read from your files and reports your more of the cautious calculating and strategic approach planner; Plus watch what you said Adama or I will demote you."
Admiral Adama somewhat sad but most firm tone "My apologies Cain it's just I've seen too many lives lost in reckless actions. I prioritize minimizing casualties and planning for the long term; Plus given that we have a little more than 90,000 humans left under our protection, we can ill afford to engage in unnecessary risks. Our priority must be the preservation of both military and civilian lives."
Admiral Cain(Scoffing) "Preservation, Admiral? Preservation won't win us this war. We need to be aggressive, hit the Cylons hard and fast before they have a chance to regroup. Planning for the long term won't mean anything if we're wiped out tomorrow. We can't afford to sit back and wait for them to come to us."
Admiral Adama "Admiral Cain, I understand your perspective, but sometimes taking the shot and going into battle without careful planning will only lead to unnecessary casualties. We need to be strategic, pick our battles wisely, and minimize our losses wherever possible."
Admiral Cain (Frustrated) "Strategic, Adama? Strategic is just a nice way of saying slow and cautious. We don't have the luxury of time. Every moment we hesitate is another moment the Cylons have to strengthen their positions. We need to act decisively."
Admiral Adama: Decisiveness is crucial, Admiral Cain, but it must be tempered with prudence. We can't afford to throw lives away in reckless attacks. We need a balanced approach that leverages our strengths while minimizing our weaknesses.
Admiral Cain: (Sighs) Fine, Adama. But don't expect me to sit back and twiddle my thumbs while you overthink every move. I'll be on the front lines, leading our forces into battle.
Admiral Adama: And I'll be right behind you, Admiral Cain. But remember, sometimes the greatest strength is knowing when to hold back. We'll work together, combining your tactical prowess with my strategic insight to ensure the safety of our people.
The tension lingers, but both admirals know the importance of unity in the face of the Cylon threat. They continue to talk for another hour until Adama headed back to the Galactica to continue his duties aboard his ship.
*Rear Admiral Upper Half, Admiral Helena Cain Manage to Survive the Early Stages of the 2nd Cylon war by having her crew make a random jump anywhere which was risky. After the Blind Jump Admiral Cain was Slowly descending down the Road of Fear and Madness do of receiving messages from the Colonial News Services and Government that the Cylons have begun to bombard them home-worlds in a fiery inferno and Nuclear Radiation destroying everything that the colonial's hold dear. However, her 2nd in Command and Executive officer of Pegasus Jurgen Belzen was there to help her get though the fact that the cylons destroying everything that the colonial's hold dear. As time went on both Jurgen Belzen was able to turn Admiral Helena Cain away from the Road of Fear and Madness and turned her down the road of Hope and Optimism. They both Agreed that if they were going to fight a war with the Cylons that they would need to do a Generational war with the Cylons. Eventually both Jurgen Belzen and Helena Cain entered a Romantic Relationship with each other they eventually got married. Admiral Helena Cain decided not to charge her surname when she married Jurgen Belzen and kept her maid name: Cain.
*Captain Jurgen Belzen is Admiral Cain's 2nd command and Executive officer of Pegasus. He lost wife was killed in the first stages of the 2nd Cylon War; Lucky for him his 2 daughters were visiting him while he was returning from his shore leaving before the Cylons attacked and survived. As time went on both he and Admiral Helena Cain began into comfort each of what they have lost after the Cylon's to bombard them home-worlds in a fiery inferno and Nuclear Radiation destroying everything that the colonial's hold dear. As time passed both Jurgen Belzen and Helena Cain entered a romantic Relationship with each other, and they would eventually get married with him always being there to comfort her and help her overcome her path down the Road of Fear and Madness. He was able to guide her down the path of Hope and Optimism.
