The 2nd Battle Ploúsio Fagitó

August 1, 75221 N.B.E.*, 11:15 A.M.

It has been over 1 1/2 months after the harrowing victory at the 2nd Battle of Desora; Since than the G.R.F. Military high command has disbanded and reorganized 2 of their attack fleets: the 5th and 6th attack fleets to reorganize them into the new defense fleet of Desora; As well to have assign their new ships(another Battlestar(Andromeda class), 1 carrier(Aleksanteri class), 1 cruiser(Araon class), 1 destroyer(Kara Thrace class) and 2 more Anastasia class Flattop ships.) that have finished production and are ready of active service. In total the newly reorganized fleet of Desora is made up 3 Battlestars, 3 Carriers, 2 destroyers, 6 cruisers and 8 Flattop ships with over 3,070(including the Planetary Air force Viper forces.) of the latest vipers to defend Desora from any interstellar threat.

In the last 1 1/2 months the G.R.F. military Intelligence service have been noticing a build more of Cylon ships and the organization of another massive Cylon fleet(made up of 30 Cylon Basestars and 13,920 Cylon Raiders.) just a few light-years away from their Planet Ploúsio Fagitó. The G.R.F. military Intelligence service quickly figure out that the Cylons were planning another attack on their planet since it was 1 of a few known worlds that have humans on; In respond after receiving this valuable intel of Cylon fleet movements the G.R.F. Military high command decided to dramatically reinforce the defensive fleet protecting Ploúsio Fagitó by reorganizing 2 of their other Planetary defense fleets above: Doidorus and Aleksanteri. The newly reorganized fleet above Ploúsio Fagitó is made up of 13 battlestars(4 Apollo and 9 Andromeda classes), 2 carriers(William Adama class), 16 destroyers(12 Laura Roslin and 4 Kara Thrace classes.); 8 cruisers(6 Pegasus and 2 Aaron Kelly class.), 5 flattop ships(3 of the old flattop and 2 of Anastasia classes) along with 3,285(including the Planetary Air force Viper forces.) of the latest vipers under the command Colonel Ronald King; The G.R.F. military high command decided to give the command of the reinforces and reorganized fleet above Ploúsio Fagitó to the commanding officer in charge of the original defense fleet: Captain Daniel Alexander.

Captain Daniel Alexander stood on the bridge of the Battlestar, overseeing the coordinated maneuvers of the fleet. The Cylon fleet appeared on the radar and Captain Alexander to which he ordered to his communications officer Lt. Commander Samuel Anderson* and in an urgent commanding tone "Lt. Commander Anderson set up a radio frequence channel across the fleet for all my fellow captains and commanders to receive."

In respond Lt. Commander Anderson just nodded and after a few seconds in a calm and acknowledged tone "Fleet wide Radio frequence channel open, Sir."

Captain Alexander just nodded in gratitude and push his command centers speaker button and in an urgent commanding tone "All ships, raise shields, prepare for incoming fire; Launch Vipers and deploy Raptors for reconnaissance. Lt. Commander Anderson, maintain communication with the other ships. We need to stay coordinated; As well contact the Colonel King and tell him we have incoming and need his viper forces to assist us."

The Cylon Basestars came into view, and they saw them launch 100's of their Raiders from their bays, descending like a swarm of locusts upon them. Captain Daniel Alexander watched the tactical display on his command console. He issued orders with precision, coordinating the movements of his fleet to counter the incoming Raiders. The Vipers engaged the enemy, their weapons flaring in the dark expanse of space. Captain Alexander heard from his DRADIS radar operator Lt. Alex Pepper* in a concerned tone of voice "Sir, the Cylons have engaged our reconnaissance Raptors. We've lost three of them already."

Captain Daniel Alexander in an acknowledged and somewhat commanding tone "Understood, Lt., signal the raptors to return to the fleet. We need to focus on defense."

Lt. Pepper in a calm acknowledged tone "Yes, sir."

As the Captain Alexander and his command staff coordinated with the rest of the capital ships, Colonel King and his viper forces were just going to engage the Cylon raiders. Inside his Viper cockpit Colonel King was checking his vipers DRADIS Radar to see if there are any Cylon raiders within range. Colonel King to all his Viper pilots over the comm with a crackled tone of voice "Stay sharp, everyone; We're about to engage the enemy. Keep formation and watch each other's backs."

1 of Colonel King's newest viper officer's 2nd Lt. Sarah Daniels* nodded, her heart pounding with anticipation. She glanced at her wingman, Lt. Mark Thompson*, who flashed her a reassuring thumbs-up. Together, they streaked through the void of space, their Vipers poised for combat.

Suddenly, the DRADIS screen lit up with blips as the Cylon raiders came into range. 2nd Lt. Daniels adrenaline surged as she spotted the enemy fighters swarming towards them like a swarm of angry hornets. 2nd Lt. Daniels in both a nervous and excited tone "Here they come!"

With a burst of speed, both her Squad leader, Herself and her fellow squad mates engaged their thrusters into battle. The enemy raiders closed in fast, their weapons firing bursts of energy towards the G.R.F. Vipers.

As the battle began Colonel King barked over the comm to all his pilots "Stay evasive, keep moving!"

2nd Lt. Daniels deftly maneuvered her Viper, dodging incoming fire as she locked onto an enemy raider. She squeezed the trigger, sending a volley of missiles streaking towards her target. The raider exploded in a brilliant flash of light, but more were closing in.

Lt. Mark flew alongside Sarah, his viper weaving through the chaos of battle. He spotted a group of raiders targeting a nearby cruiser and knew he had to act fast. With a sharp turn, he barrel-rolled towards the enemy, unleashing a barrage of gunfire that tore through their ranks.

2nd Lt. Daniels called out, her voice crackling with static "Nice shooting, Mark!"

But the battle was far from over. As more raiders swarmed towards them, Sarah and Mark fought side by side, their Vipers dancing through the onslaught with precision and skill. Together with the rest of their squadron and the rest of their fellow Viper pilots held the line against the relentless tide of enemy fighters, determined to protect their fleet and planet at all costs.

The battle raged on of over 6 hours and 15 minutes, with the G.R.F. fleet facing overwhelming numbers. The carriers launched wave after wave of Vipers, attempting to thin the Cylon ranks. The cruisers and destroyers unleashed volleys of missiles, trying to break through the enemy's defenses; As well with their Battlestar's carefully moving through the volleys of missiles fired from their support ships to do close quarters combat ship-to-ship.

Amidst the chaos, Colonel King spotted a gap in the Cylon formation. He saw an opportunity to strike at the heart of the enemy fleet. He issued a command to his pilots, "All Vipers, form up on my position. We're going for a direct assault on the Cylon Basestars." The Vipers obeyed, forming up in a tight formation behind the Battlestar Achelois. They charged forward, their engines roaring as they closed the distance to the enemy. Raiders swarmed around them, but the Vipers held their formation, their defensive shields absorbing the enemy fire. As they reached the Cylon Basestars, the Vipers unleashed their firepower. Missiles streaked towards the enemy, finding their targets and detonating in brilliant explosions. The Cylon Basestars shuddered under the assault, their hulls buckling under the barrage.

Captain Alexander watched as the enemy fleet began to falter. The Cylon Raiders scattered, their formation breaking as they attempted to regroup. The Basestars listed in space, their damaged engines sputtering. He turned his attention to his communications officer and in a calm and confident tone "Lt. Commander Anderson, signal the rest of the fleet that we've weakened the enemy. Now's our chance to finish them off."

The G.R.F. fleet surged forward, their weapons blazing as they closed in on the crippled Cylon Basestars. The remaining Raiders were quickly overwhelmed, their numbers dwindling as the G.R.F. pilots picked them off one by one. Within minutes, the Cylon fleet was in retreat with roughly 2 Cylon basestars badly damaged and jumped out of the system. The G.R.F. fleet pursued them, harrying their escape as they limped away from Ploúsio Fagitó. The battle was over, but the victory was hard-won. Captain Alexander watched as the last of the Cylon ships disappeared from the tactical display. He felt a sense of relief wash over him, knowing that his fleet had prevailed against the odds.

As a moment of relief washed over Captain Alexander, he heard from his communications officer Lt. Commander Anderson in a calm and concerned tone "Sir, we've received a message from Colonel King. He's reporting that his Viper forces have engaged the last of the enemy raiders."

Captain Alexander in a calm tone, "Good, tell him to finish up the enemy fighter clean-up operations and to thank him for his help in helping us offend off this Cylon attack; As well to have some of his forces to continue to provide support to the fleet for the moment."

Lt. Commander Anderson calm acknowledged tone "Yes, sir."

Over the next few hours as Captain Alexander was reorganizing his defensive fleet he surveyed the damage to his ships(7 battlestars in various states of damage with 1 heavily damaged, 3 Moderately damage and the rest minor damage.), 1 carrier(suffering moderate damage), 9 destroyers(3 suffering Heavy damage, 4 moderately damage and the rest minor damage.); 5 cruisers(1 heavy damaged, 1 moderately damage and the rest minor damage.), 3 of Flattop ships(2 heavily damaged and the rest moderately damaged.); He saw his fleet's flattop ships doing their jobs in repairing the damaged ships. He knew that they had suffered losses in his fleet suffering the loss of 4 battlestars(Apollo class), 5 destroyers(Laura Roslin class), 2 cruisers(Pegasus class) and a single flattop ship(old flattop ship class); As well found that in this battle that both his and colonel King's viper forces have lost in total of over 40%(42.3744%= 1,392 Vipers lost.) in battle but fortunately most the pilots of the vipers were rescued in time and lived to fight another day. After seeing the aftermath, he knew that they had also dealt a blow to the Cylon fleet at least for a little while. The battle may have been won, but the war was far from over.
