Chapter 19 The Guest 2

Kalrow's ship docked at Shinto and Kalrow got out alongside Wyzen and Loptr. Kalrow watched Loptr closely as he took in the sights of Shinto. The young boy seemed to admire the place and Kalrow could see a bit of greed in his eyes. Loptr wanted Shinto for himself. The threesome made their way to Deus's private quarters where the found the general along with Olga. Kalrow and Wyzen bowed before Deus.
"Kalrow. Wyzen. What do you have to report and who is this child with you?" Said Deus.
"Well Lord Deus, my scanners recently picked up an unusual energy signature that I thought needed to be investigated. I took Wyzen along with some troops to look into it and we came across a village that had been attacked by the Goham. There were no survivors except for this child here and when we found him, he seemed to be controlling a group of Goham." Said Kalrow.
"Control the Goham, you say." Said Deus with a bit of interest as he studied the child before him.
"Well I couldn't immediately control them at first, when they showed up. Had to kill a good deal of their brethren and knock some of them around before I finally made my point to them." Said Loptr.
"And what point was that?" Asked Olga.
"That I was a superior being and that they should obey me." Said Loptr with a smirk.
"And what is your name?" Asked Deus.
"I am Loptr and I am a prophet here to aid and guide to greatness and to defeating the Goham once and for all." Said Loptr.
"He seems very confident in himself." Muttered Olga.
"Loptr possesses powers the likes of which, we have never seen. He could be a very useful asset and ally to our fight against the Goham." Said Wyzen.
"Interesting. I think a demonstration is order." Said Deus standing up from his chair.
"What kind of demonstration?" Asked Loptr.
"A simple sparring match between the two of us. I want to see your power for myself and test your might." Said Deus.
"Very well." Said Loptr.
Deus lead the group to area in his quarters he used for training and exercise. He faced Loptr and took up a fighting stance. Loptr attacked first by throwing several dozen glowing blue cards at Deus, who deflected them with his fists, before he sprung forward and threw a punch at Loptr, only to be stopped by a barrier. The child smirked as he conjured up some large ethereal arms that tried to squash Deus between their palms. Deus backflipped out of the way to avoid getting hit, but another pair of ethereal arms appeared and struck him in midair sending him flying across the room and hit a wall creating a good deal of dust.
"Deus!" Said Olga with a look of shock and alarm.
Loptr smirked at his apparent victory, but it vanished Deus emerged from the dust cloud looking a little roughed up with a tiny bit of blood dripping from his lips, but not seriously hurt. The boy conjured another pair of ethereal arms and then he set the six arms he had created at Deus. The arms enlarged themselves as they stretched and struck at Deus, but he raced around and dodged the blows with incredible speed as he closed the distance between himself and Loptr. Loptr realized Deus was getting close, so he quickly changed tactics and brought his ethereal arms back to him decreasing their size. He then fired balls of glowing blue energy from both his regular hands and the ethereal arms. The balls flew at Deus and he quickly dodged the shots and began to use his electrokinesis to fire a blast of lightning at Loptr striking and weakening his barrier. Deus then zipped forward with incredible speed to deliver a few lightning fast blows to the barrier making it shatter before he deliver a punch to Loptr's gut knocking the wind out of him and made the boy double over in pain.
"I must admit you are indeed strong and your powers are unique, though there is still a big gap between our power levels. I believe with a good amount of training under me, you will easily close that gap." Said Deus looking down at Loptr.
Loptr recovered and shot a brief glare up at Deus, before regaining his composure and put on a calm face.
"Yes, it's clear to me you are very strong and I have much to learn and improve on. I look forward to learning from you and training under you as we work together to eliminate the Goham." Said Loptr as he got to his feet.
"Wyzen find Loptr some quarters and make sure it's private and away from others." Said Deus.
Wyzen nodded his head and lead Loptr away.
"Savor your little victory mortal, for when the time comes I will be standing above you and the rest of pathetic race." Thought Loptr as he walked away with Wyzen.
Once Loptr was gone, Kalrow spoke.
"What do you make of him, Deus?"
"The boy is strong and his powers are different from anything we've seen. He could be a powerful ally, but I sense a dark presence about him." Said Deus.
"I sensed the same thing about him. We should keep Loptr closely monitored and keep his presence secret, till we have a better understanding of his powers and whatever his motivations and alliances are." Said Kalrow.
"It has also come to my attention that Loptr isn't our only unusual guest to arrive." Said Deus.
"What's that?" Asked Kalrow.
"Asura recently gave me a report about another young boy that was brought in by the name of Loki that also possessed unusual powers that the Goham had a interest in." Said Deus.
"Another one?" Said Olga.
"A coincidence?" Asked Kalrow.
"I don't believe this is a coincidence. These boys are somehow connected to one another and I believe a big change is on the horizon. Look into this Loki and observe and collect any information you can about him." Said Deus.
"I will. You can count on me." Said Kalrow with a bow before he left the scene.
"I don't know what these children our, but I feel that they are a sign of something big that will impact our world." Said Deus to himself.
