I was going to work on my next update. This story is stuck in my head still. So I figure I'll work on the next chapter. Do not worry I am working on other stories as well.
This is a Mihawk x Zoro story. Yes it is MxM.

Chapter 2
The day had finally come. It was the morning Zoro, Mihawk, and Perona arrived at the Sabaody Archipelago. They dock in an isolated part of the island. Mihawk takes Zoro's hand and leads him off as Perona stays where she is standing as she knows they need a moment together. For this will be the last time they see each other for a while.
"I will miss you my Ke aloha." Said Mihawk, claiming his lips.
Zoro rested his forehead on Mihawk's forehead. "I will miss you my Mae' Aloha." He tells him as their eyes lock with each other. "I love you." He tells Mihawk.
Mihawk's eyes widened with shock. He hadn't expected for Zoro to even tell him that he loves him. A soft smile replaces his shock. "I love you my ke aloha." He tells him as he kisses him deeply.
They break apart from each other. "We'll see each other soon." Whispers Zoro with a smile. Taking a step away from his mate. Hi Mae' aloha. Their fingers linger for a little bit longer as Zoro turns his back heading towards Perona as she is holding his black backpack that holds his mate's mark on it.
Perona looks up at Zoro as he towers over him. "Are you ready?" She questions him as she knew all too well he would get lost on his way to Shanky's Rip Off Bar.
"Yeah, I am ready." Said Zoro as he pauses just for a second. As he looks over his shoulder once more. Before leaving.
Mihawk watches Zoro and Perona vanish into the groove of trees. He lets out a long tired sigh. "Am I doing the right thing?" He questions himself as he turns to look at his tiny ship. Knowing he still has a chance to run after them. Still has a chance to keep Zoro by his side. He still has a chance to tell the World Government, Marines and everyone else in this Godforsaken world to go to hell and follow his heart. To follow his soulmate. Keep him at his side or just be at his side as he sails along with him and the other's StrawHats.
No he couldn't do that to him. He couldn't be in his way. For he knows his ke aloha needs this time away from him. Time away to grow stronger. Strong enough to one day take his place as the World Greatest Swordsmen. With that final thought he pulled the little snail out of his pocket to make sure it was doing well. For this was the twin to the one he had given him just a week before they would leave for their journey to return him to his crew. With this tiny snail he will be able to speak to him when he wishes or when his ke aloha wants to speak to him as well. He softly smiles at the tiny snail. Slipping it back into his pocket as he hears another snail ringing. Knowing who is calling he lets out another tired longing sigh to just run away and never return. Taking his mate and hiding away from the world at large.
"Hello." Growls out Mihawk as the little black snail looks up at him with terror as it is mirror the fools smile.
"Hey Hawkie. I am just calling to check on you. Making sure you are doing well." Said Shanks on the other end of the snail.
Arching a brow at the little snail. "Why do you want to know?" He demands of the other,
'Because knowing you. You will not want to let him go and tell the Goverment and Marines to fuck off and just go back to the life of fun and adventure. To keep your little mate at your side." Said Shanks with a chuckle.
Frowning before he speaks to the man. "I had had that thought. I know there are too many people replying to me. As well he wouldn't want me to be so reckless and leave those who rely on myself to face the punishment just for myself." He tells Shanks as he raises his left hand to the bridge of his nose. Pinching it and just wanting to vanish for a while. To get away from all that is weighing him down. Until he is able to see his little Ke aloha once more.
"Well Hawkie. You know we would do anything to help you and would do anything to protect those who you protect." Said Shanks as the snail loses its goofy smile and something more akin of a serious face now dawning on the little snail in his right hand.
"No. It is fine. I know it isn't something he wishes for now. I have to do what is needed of me for now. For I do not need that toddler of the new Fleet Admiral to go after Zoro even more. I need to keep our connection separate from each other. As well it does me well that no one knows my Alpha mark." Said Mihawk as a small smile is on his lips.
Shanks chuckles at this. "Yes, it is a good thing you had never shown the world your mark. Unlike all those foolish Alpha's who think their own mark would strike fear into others. As well as using it to mark their territory." He said with another chuckle.
"Yes, it is. As well he is the only one I had ever marked. I know I could have marked many others. They never had that pull…that draw that made me want to claim them." Said Mihawk as he moves his eyes away from the little snail and out to the sea. The sea he hears its song. It's pulled on him. As it relaxes him. Making him feel safe for this moment. As well letting him know that he is doing the right thing to keep his ke aloha safe for the moment.
"Well Hawkie. I need to end our chat. For I have a little pest trying to prove his metal against me." Said Shanks as the little snail mirrors his feral smile.
"Yes, yes. Go play with the rookie." Answers Mihawk as his little snail falls back to sleep.
With Zoro and Perona
"I made the outfit you asked me for." Said Perona as she hands him a bound package.
Zoro gives her a feral smile. "Thanks. I think the fucker will enjoy it." He tells her as he lets out a small chuckle.
"I just can't believe you only took in that part of the meeting that Mihawk told us about. It will be funny though when that lava brain gets it." Said Perona giggling.
Zoro looks down at her chuckling. "I am planning that asshole to be getting when Mihawk will be visiting for another meeting. I do hope he opens it before all the Warlords." He tells her.
A sparkle is seen in her eyes. "So do I. I also put the note you requested in it." She tells him.
****Flashback*****
"Hey Perona." Calls Zoro as he spots her in the garden with the Humandrills working away in the midday sun.
She looks up from her spot in picking weeds from her tomatoes. "Yeah? What do you need?" She questions him as she lets out a long sigh and rubs her right forearm across her forehead to wipe away the sweat.
He comes up jogging to her. He hands her a water bottle. "Here drink this first before I ask you my questions." Zoro tells her as he looks to the Humandrills going around with a bucket and ladle giving drinks to the other hard working primates.
"Okay." Said Perona as she takes the offered bottle. Twisting off the lid and raising the bottle to her lips takes a long greedy drink from the water. Once she quenches her thirst she looks up at him as she replaces the lid. "So..What do you need?" She questions him wondering what he is up to.
He grins at her. "I was wondering if you could make this lava brain for me?" He questions holding up a toddler's sailor's outfit. "I would like it in black and gold with my crew's joyroger on the back of it." He tells her grinning like a madman.
Perona begins to tremble with giggles as she takes the photo from him. "Yeah I can do it." She tells him between her giggles.
Zoro grins larger at her. "Good. I do have the fabric and everything you will need for the outfit. I bought it. When I went shopping with Mihawk as well as some other fabric." He tells her with a soft blush on his cheeks.
"You want me to make you some clothes as well?" Perona questions him with a teasing smile on her face.
"Well yeah. I was wondering if you could teach me as well….for I want to make Mihawk something." Said Zoro blushing even brightly. Perona swore he was as bright as the setting sun.
"Sure. I can do that." Said Perona, smiling at him softly. "We can start your lessons tonight." She tells him as she slips the bottle in her pocket of her apron getting back to work.
"Okay. Thank you." Said Zoro as he returns inside to get back to his training and maybe make some dinner for the others later.
*****End Of Flashback******
"I'll be sending it off once I am at Shanky's bar. I'm sure she would be happy to send it off for me. For Mihawk does have a meeting with that bastard within the week I do believe." Said Zoro smiling as the memories of what they had done that day.
"Mhm." Hummed Perona as she clasps her hands behind her back looking around the floating bubbles and the colorful people. "Zoro, listen to me." She began.
He looks down at her once more. "Yeah?" He questions wondering what she is planning to tell him.
"Zoro, what do you know about Omega's?" Questions Perona as she had noticed something has been changing in his body.
He looks up to the treetops. "Not much really. My Master and caretaker was a Beta and didn't know much about Omega's and with my mother's death. She never told me as if she was an Omega herself." He answers her with honesty.
A sad frown creeps across her lips as she looks down to her booted feet. Slowly she shakes her head. For he does need to know. She can't keep it from him. She knew his Master knew very well what happens when an Omega and Alpha mates. She lets out a long worried sigh. Looking back up at him she softly smiles. "When two male's mate…one being an Alpha and the other an Omega…..The Omega can get pregnant. I am not sure if MIhawk knows that or not. I have been worrying about you for a while. With you being tired and those three weeks while Mihawk was gone and you had been throwing up your guts…..It made me wonder if you are with cub." She tells him.
He looks down at her with his eyes blown wide. "Wh…what?" He questions not sure how to wrap his brain about the new piece of information she had dropped upon him.
"DId you two ever use protection?" Questions Perona as she tilts her head to the right looking at him.
A blush running up from his neck to the tips of his ears he softly answers her. "No…no…we never had." He tells her to look away from her as he works hard to fight down.
"Mhm.. Well you might want to have your ship's doctor give you a blood test to check and leave your mind to ease. If you are….. I want you to call and tell him. He does need to know. For I know you will not be able to have a baby on your ship. You might need to go into hiding when you are at your last month before the baby is born and maybe a month or two after the baby is born. For it would need to nurse from you for a while before we are able to whisk the baby away. I will do everything to protect your baby and make sure they know who his daddy is." Perona tells him, smiling at him softly.
"You….you would do that for me?" Zoro questions as he is fighting his shock.
"Yeah. I would do that for you. For I do see you as my little brother." Said Perona giggling.
Zoro arches a brow at her. "I thought you were younger than me." He tells her as he is now wondering how old she is.
Perona blushes softly. "I am 25. So I am older than you." She tells him.
His eyes widened once more. "Oh okay. Thank you." He tells her as they are now standing before Shanky's bar.
"I guess this is goodbye for now little brother." Said Perona as she gives him a hug.
Zoro returns her hug. "Yeah. Goodbye for now sis." He tells her, grinning down at her. "Please take care of him for me while I am away." He tells her.
"I will." Answers Perona as she spins on her heel and leaves him to go into the bar to await his crew.
Shanky's Rip off Bar
"Welcome to the Rip off Bar." Said Shanky as she turns to face the newcomer at the door. Her smile grew larger. "Well welcome back number 1." She tells him with a giggle.
"Hey Shanky." Answers Zoro as he smirks at her.
"So did you have fun during your two years of training?" Questions Shanky as she watches him walking towards her bar. Her eyes raked across his body. Stopping on the mark she spies on his neck and moves around his body once more. She turns around and moves towards her fridge, opening it and pulling out some orange juice. She pours him a glass. "Here you go." She tells him to place the glass down before him as he had taken his seat before her.
Zoro arches a brow as he looks down at the glass before him and back up at her. "So?" He questions not sure how to ask her why she gave him juice.
She smiles at him. "I think you will find out soon." She tells him with a giggle.
His eyes widened with shock once more. "Dammit. Not you too." He whines now.
Now it is Shanky's turn to look at him with confusion. "What do you mean?" She questions him wanting to know what is going on.
"Perona told me just now that I might be….." He cuts himself off as the door to the bar opens. His hand moving to his swords at his hip.
Standing at the doorway is Reighly with a grin on his face. "So it is time." He said as he walked to the bar taking a seat next to the younger.
"Yeah. The time has come for us to return back as one." Said Zoro grinning.
The elder just nods his head spotting the mark and takes the beer his wife offers him. "Well I shall gather my supplies to get the ship ready to be coded." He tells Zoro.
"That would be great. Thank you." Zoro tells him with a smile.
Zoro looks back at Shanky. "Hey Shanky. Could you send this off for me?" He questions grinning as he pulls out some beri.
She arches a brow at him. "Whose this for?" She questions him.
A feral grin on his face. "It's a gift for our new Fleet Admiral." He answers her as he slips the photo he had given Perona on that day. For he knew she would like to know what is being held inside the package.
Shanky begins to giggle like a madwoman as her husband looks over at the photo himself as he snorts his beer. "What in the world?" He questions wanting to know what the fuck.
"I asked Perona to make this outfit for lava brain with My Captain's Joyroger. For him to know that we send him our love." Said Zoro grinning at them.
"Please tell me you added a note." Bagged Shanky with a grin.
"Yeah there is a note inside of it." Answers Zoro as he takes a drink of his juice.
"So are you going to tell me?" Questions Shanky as she finally calms herself from her mad laughter.
Zoro smirks. "Sure." He tells her as he remembers what he had told Perona to write down as his hand writing isn't the neatest. "I told Perona to write: Dear Lava head. As the First Mate of the StrawHat Pirates. I would like to give you a gift on behalf of my Captain Monkey D. Luffy and crew. I do hope you enjoy it and wear it with pride." He told her with his feral grin.
"Oh boy." Said Shanky howling with laughter as her husband is choking on his beer from laughing so hard. "I will be sending this right now." She tells them as she scoops up the package and rushes around the bar counter and out the door.
Finally the day is here
Zoro and the others make a mad dash for the Thousand sunny. He howls with laughter jumping over tree roots and people. This was the most fun he had had for a while. Grinning as he spots his home and the others awaiting them on the deck of the ship.
"Hold on." Luffy calls out to Sanji and himself. He ducks missing Luffy, grabbing him and sling shooting him onto the ship. WIth a blink of an eye he jumps aboard onto the ship. Grinning as he looks at Sanji with his head stuck in the hole in the tree as Luffy is knotted within the railing of the stairs.
"Aww Zoro why did you duck?" Whines Luffy as he is pouting at his best friend.
Zoro chuckles. "It's a secret for now." He tells his Captain and best friend with a twinkle in his silver eyes.
Chopper sniffs the air as he looks around the dock. A strange scent is coming off Zoro. His eyes widened. Zoro catches the look in the young Doctor's eyes. He moves swiftly over to the young reindeer. "Can we talk about it in private?" He whispers to the younger. Chopper just nods his head to the elder. Zoro lets go and puts him down.
This did not go unnoticed by Robin. She narrows her eyes on the swordsmen of the crew. She spots something black on his neck. Something she will need to ask him once they have a moment to be alone.
Once everyone is settled. Chopped looks at his friends and family. "Alright people. We have been apart for way too long and I need to update your medical files." He tells them all in a chipper tone.
He hears several groans and whines. As Zoro just chuckles. "Well if you want I'll go first." He answers as he walks up the stairs leading up to the kitchen and Choppers Private office. Unseen by Zoro. Robin stands up to follow after the two. For she needs answers. The swordsman is acting a little strange and also she wants to know what the mark on his neck is as well.
Zoro goes to close the door to Chopper's office as a hand stops him. "Wait. I figure I'll get my check up done as well." Said Robin smiling at him. Zoro looks away, a little embraced, not sure how to feel with another in the room. With a sigh he looks at her. "Uhh…sure." He answers as he goes and sits down on the bed as he slips off his robe.
Chopper looks from Zoro and to Robin. Feeling a little nervous about the test he is going to be running on his crewmate….his brother. In Front of Robin. His big brown eyes looking up at his brother awaiting an answer from him as he jumps up onto his stool to draw the blood he was going to be needing.
"It will be fine." Zoro answers him with a smile on his face.
Robin arches a brow looking at the two. "Are you going to tell me what is going on?" She questions Zoro as her navy blue eyes are locked with his own silver eyes.
With another sigh Zoro leans his head back against the wall. Closing his eyes before he begins speaking. Speaking in a soft calm tone. A tone that wouldn't drift past the four walls between them and the crew. "I have a mate…I might be…." He cuts himself off. Not sure how to explain to her what might happen in the next few months.
Robin's navy blue eyes widened. "So..you might be?" She questions not finishing her own question.
"Yeah." Answers Zoro breathlessly.
Chopper silently gets to work. Not wanting to make a peep. After an hour the little Reindeer gets the answer that Zoro and Robin wait with baited breath. "Congratulations Zoro." He tells him with a soft smile.
"Well damn." Said Zoro as he looked down at his belly. That he had noticed for the past couple of months had grown a little. He always did his best to hide it from his mate as he didn't want him to look at him with disgust.
"Are you going to tell him?" Questions Robin as she moves over to the bed sitting next to him. As Zoro rested his head on her shoulder.
"Yeah." Answers Zoro as he doesn't know how to feel about Perona's and Shanky's guesses were right.
"It will be alright. We will be here for you. We'll make sure nothing will happen to the baby or yourself." Said Robin kissing the side of Zoro's head. Being the mother/big sister figure she had taken for their crew.
"Just don't tell the others just yet. I want to let Mihawk know first." Zoro tells her in a soft voice. Above a whisper as he wonders how Mihawk would react to the news.
"Alright." Answers Robin and Chopper.
"I will suggest a different diet to Sanji for you. I'll just tell him I need you on a different diet for a while. Until you are ready to tell them." Said Chopper with a frown as he is planning to tell the chain smoking chef of the crew.
Robin places a reassuring hand on Chopper's shoulder. "Don't worry Chopper. I'll tell him. I will just tell him that I am roping Zoro into a special diet with myself." She tells him with a reassuring smile on her face.
"Thank you Robin." Said Chopper as he got to work to make the new diet plan for the two of them. Even though she didn't need to be on it. For now it would help Zoro.
"I want to tell him once we leave Fishman Island. For he needs to have a meeting with lava brain and I do hope he opens the gift before Mihawk and the others." Said Zoro as he chuckles.
Now this has Robin and Chopper looking at him. "What do you mean gift?" Questions Robin in wonder of what Zoro was up to.
Zoro grins as he pulls the photo out of his pocket he flips it over and shows the two of them. A roar of giggles and laughter could be heard coming from Chopper's office. This had the crew rushing to the little doctor's office as they wondered what was going on. Luffy opens the door grinning. "What's so funny?" He questions everyone as the others crowd around the doorway.
Robin snorts. "Zoro has sent a package to Sakazuki as a gift on behalf of you and all of us." She tells him and the others.
"What does a "gift ``mean?" Questions Nami as she wanted to know what the hell is going on.
"Well Mihawk gave me an idea when he had returned from one of his boring meetings. For it was for him and the other Warlords to meet the new Fleet Admiral. It turns out it is now Red Dog Sakazuki. When he had returned home and told Perona and myself that Sakazuki began behaving like a toddler. After hearing that…I asked Perona if she should make him this outfit and place your Joyroger on the back of it, Luffy." Said Zoro with a smirk on his face as he had forgotten to put his robes top back on so everyone could see the mark his mate had given him.
Now everyone is laughing at the idea of Sakazuki wearing the little sailor outfit with a large lollipop in hand.
"Did you send a lollipop with it?" Luffy looks at him with his large sweet innocent eyes.
Zoro snorts. "Yes." He answers, chuckling once more.
"So you were with that old bastard that sliced your chest open for the past two years?" Questions Sanji as he finally noticed the marking on Zoro's neck.
Zoro blinks and looks at him. "Yeah. I was with Mihawk for the past two years." He answers looking at Sanji a little confused.
"Did anyone else show up on the island with you two?" Questions Sanji as his eyes stare down the mark.
"Perona was on the island with us as well as whatever ships that came to bring supplies when Mihawk didn't feel like sailing to the nearby islands." Answers Zoro tilting his head to the right as his earrings rub up against the marking.
"Then whose mark is that on your neck?" Questions Sanji as all eyes are now on Zoro and his neck.
Nami's eyes widened. "Did Perona mark you?" She questions as she remembered the girl is a beta like herself.
Zoro chuckles as he shakes his head. "No. She didn't mark me." He answers them.
"It was Hawkie." Said Luffy with a smile on his face as he makes a fist and hits his palm with it. Now all eyes move to the boy and back to Zoro to see if Luffy was right with his guest.
Zoro chuckles. "Yeah. It's Mihawk's mark." He answers them honestly with a soft smile on his face.
Now everyone's jaw's drop to the ground. "WHAT!" Everyone screams as one. Shock lacing their faces. Not sure how to react or feel about who Zoro's mate is.
"How?" Questions Nami not sure how to feel about it.
"Why bro?" Questions Franky as he had heard the story of the two's first and only meeting. As well as the lock of the scare on said man's chest.
"That's cool. I'm glad you found your Alpha." Chipped Luffy as he grins widely at his best friend and brother in all but blood.
Now everyone is looking at Luffy with shock. "You know what an Alpha mark looks like?" Questions Nami with shock.
Luffy smiles at her. "Well yeah. Grandpa told me all about it. With my….my near death experience I awoke a little early." He said, trying to keep his smile bright.
"I see." Said Nami as she looked away from her Captain as they knew Luffy had been injured but no one knew how badly though.
"So do you have a mate?" Questions Zoro now wanting to know who his Captain had marked.
Luffy gives him a beaming smile. "Nope." He answers truthfully.
This makes everyone fall over at their Captain's antics. "So you haven't found the lucky person just yet?" Questions Franky with a large cheeky grin on his face.
Luffy looks back up at the cyborg of his crew. "Nope. Even though that Hancock person thinks I'm going to marry here. I don't know what has gotten that idea in her head. I don't want her. She is too….she is too much to deal with. I don't need a monkey on my shoulder every ten seconds." He said with a frown on his face. "I just did my best to ignore her and call her by the wrong name. For I don't want to be with her." He said as he crossed his arms across his chest letting out a huff. This made everyone look at him with shock. Luffy wasn't as clueless as they believed him to be.
Next Chapter we will find out how Lava brain will react to his gift. As well as Mihawk finding out about his bundle of joy.
I think there will be just two more chapters and the story will come to an end.
