The sprawling headquarters of Advanced Idea Mechanics was a hub of activity as a group of scientists worked feverishly on their groundbreaking project - a time-travel machine that utilized Kang technology. The hum of advanced machinery filled the room as the scientists tinkered with the various components, each one essential to the success of the project. They were on the verge of a breakthrough that could change the course of history forever.

However, the Avengers arrived on the scene, determined to put an end to AIM's dangerous experiment before it could unravel the fabric of time itself. The members of this particular group consisted of Thor, the god of thunder; Captain America, the World War Two veteran; Iron Man, the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist; Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch; Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff, S.H.I.E.L.D. scientists and highly trained assassins; and Peter Parker, Spider-Man, freelance photographer, scientist, inventor, and hero.

As they made their way to the warehouse where AIM was conducting its experiments on time travel, the Avengers knew that they had to stop them before they could make any progress. Time travel was a dangerous thing on its own, and giving such power to AIM would be a recipe for disaster of catastrophic proportions.

Stark flew above the area, out of range of their scanners, to get a clear view of everything from above. Wanda flew around, looking for a small area where she could land, and started sneaking around the AIM warehouse district. "Alright, I'm here," she reported. "Cap?"

Steve sneaked his way into the area through a flaw in their security, taking out one of their men along the way. He let out a sigh of relief as he adjusted the straps on his shield. "I'm in," he reported as he snuck around the area. "Everyone else?"

Peter crawled through an air vent and yanked off the vent duct as he made his way along the wall, eventually coming face-to-face with the portal that AIM was creating. It looked like an electric fence gate that had been cut in half, leaving a gaping hole in the middle. "Found the portal," he reported back to the others. The Avengers were ready for battle, knowing that the fate of the world rested in their hands. "And that's not all."

But their mission was about to get even more complicated as Peter spotted a familiar face - M.O.D.O.K. - the Mechanized Organism Designed Only For Killing, who had arrived at the facility. M.O.D.O.K. had the appearance of a giant head with a small body, but he had created an entire robotic body around himself to allow him to move around. He had a rocket in his seat so he could fly and move around fast. He also had robotic limbs that allowed him to move things and even wiggle his legs around.

"M.O.D.O.K. is here," Peter warned the Avengers.

"We knew this would be a possibility," Natasha reminded them, disguised as one of the security guards wearing uncomfortable armor to disguise herself with Clint so they could sneak into the facility. "Just stick to the plan."

"Alright." Peter started to sneak around the roof and made his way towards the control room to shut the project down. But things were about to take a turn for the worse. His senses alerted him something had shifted. "Oh, no."

"Behold!" M.O.D.O.K. proclaimed with glee. "We now have access to all of time and space!"

"This had better be worth it, M.O.D.O.K.." Taskmaster, Anthony Masters, stated as he marched over wearing his armor. "Because I am ready to get some payback for everything that Romanoff has put me through."

And he wasn't alone.

Peter then let out a whimper when he saw who was there: Whiplash, a longtime enemy of Stark; Blizzard, an enemy of Spider-Man and the Avengers; Whirlwind, an enemy to the Avengers mostly; Absorbing Man, an Inhuman with the ability to absorb the physical properties of anything he touches or that touches him; Shocker, one of Peter's oldest enemies; and Beetle, an assassin for hire that Hawkeye saw as his enemy.

"You will all have your turn to get your revenge," M.O.D.O.K. promised them.

"Guys? We gotta speed this up." Peter warned the team with a whimper as he kept making his way towards the control room. "We got a whole lot of our villains here ready to use the time machine as payback for all of us."

"You kidding? Man, M.O.D.O.K. must have some real faith in this machine." Tony commented. "Thor? You better be ready to bring the thunder."

"I shall be ready!" Thor promises, making his way to the room of generators.

Peter then lifted one of the roof panels and started to descend on a web towards the controls of the portal. He needed to stop them from opening a breach in space and time. As he was trying his best to hack into the systems, there was someone else in the room. Scurrying across the room and making his way towards Peter was a familiar face to the masked hero. As he was focused on the computers, his senses alerted him in the nick of time to jump out of the way before he could be impaled by a biometric tail coming from one of Peter's dangerous enemies.

"Scorpion." Peter recognized him instantly.

"Hello, Spider-Man!" Scorpion stated, dropping to the ground and readying his tail for a second strike. "Fancy you showing up here."

"What can I say? I'm attracted to danger." Peter quipped, preparing to strike. But quickly he tapped on his comms to summon the others. "Guys, I think I might've gotten us outed."

"Hang on, kid. We're coming in!" Stark cried.

Then the roof of the building was broken in as Stark came flying inside and immediately opened fire on the portal. However whatever he shot at it directly got either absorbed or redirected somewhere else.

"Oh, so that's where all the Vibranium went," Stark recalled how King T'Challa warned them AIM had stolen Wakandan technology. "Well, brute force isn't going to get this one done."

"Then it's a good thing we didn't bring the-" Peter was going to quip when he came flying out of the window and sent slamming into the ground. "...Hulk."

"Well, well, isn't it my lucky day?" Shocker asked as he saw Spider-Man beginning to get back up. "I get to kill Spider-Man today, and go back and kill him again and again!"

Peter however jumped out of the way to then see Shocker shoot the ground where he was recently. "I'm not sure that's how time travel works, dude." He warned Shocker. "I mean, if you killed me now, then went back in time to kill me, then wouldn't that mean-"

"My, god!" Clint cried as he came into the room, shooting arrows to create a smoke screen. "Can you not explain time travel again?!" He then shot several more arrows, taking down the AIM agents opening fire. "You already messed with my head trying to explain the Adam Project to me!"

"It wasn't that hard to follow, Clint!" Natasha cried as she shot a Widow Bite into an AIM Agent. "But can we focus on the problem at hand?!"

Steve then came crashing through the ceiling and threw his shield to ricochet off the agents to rake them down. Where's Wanda?"

Outside, Wanda was using her Chaos Magic to shield off the facility her friends were currently inside to keep them safe. She was keeping additional AIM agents from getting inside and a few tanks and other vehicles they had in their arsenal.

"I'm keeping the rest of them out," Wanda tells them.

"Activate the portal!" M.O.D.O.K demanded his men.

The Scorpion then came leaping out of the window he threw Spider-Man through earlier and tackled the hero to the ground. "Night, night Spider!"

Steve then came running and threw the shield at Scorpion, knocking him in the head and taking him down. Steve then ran over and helped Peter get to his feet fast. "Eyes front, soldier!" He then raised his shield to keep Electro from shooting them with electricity. "Thor. Time to bring the thunder!"

The battle between the heroes and villains had reached a critical point. Thor was summoning all the power he could muster to his Hammer, determined to stop AIM from accessing the secrets of time travel. His eyes glowed with fierce determination as he focused all his energy on the task at hand. Wanda, meanwhile, was struggling to maintain the forcefield that was blocking the villains from entering the facility. Her body trembled with the effort, her eyes closed in concentration as she lent her powers to Thor's cause.

Iron Man was a blur of motion, his suit's thrusters propelling him out of harm's way as Beetle launched a barrage of missiles at him. Tony's fingers danced over the controls of his suit as he returned fire with his own arsenal of weapons. The air was filled with the sound of explosions and the acrid smell of smoke as the two combatants battled it out.

Clint had his bow drawn, an arrow aimed straight at Absorbing Man and Shocker. His heart was pounding in his chest as he waited for the perfect moment to strike. He knew that one wrong move could cost him everything, but he was determined to see this through to the end.

Natasha was trying to shoot down Whiplash as he used his deadly electric whips to defend himself. Her eyes were locked on her target, her finger hovering over the trigger as she waited for the right moment to strike. She knew that she had to take him out quickly if they were going to have any chance of winning this fight.

Meanwhile, Spiderman swung through the air, his body poised and ready to deliver a powerful kick to Electro. His spider sense was tingling, warning him of danger as he closed in on his target. He gritted his teeth, his eyes narrowed in determination as he prepared to strike.

Suddenly, everything took a turn for the worse. Electro began drawing power from the surrounding room, causing the energy levels to spike uncontrollably. At the same time, Thor unleashed a massive amount of energy, overcharging the space and throwing everything into a state of chaotic flux. In the midst of all this, the activation protocol for the time portal was initiated, adding yet another layer of instability to the already turbulent situation.

Even though time began to slow down to a crawl, everyone's minds were still able to process the events unfolding around them with terrifying clarity. They watched in horror as the time portal appeared to be functioning normally at first, only to suddenly shatter into countless pieces and explode in a blinding flash of light. The explosion engulfed the entire warehouse, consuming everyone and everything in its path, including Wanda and Thor.

As the explosion occurred, everything was consumed by the light. However, then the explosion seemed to reverse itself, pulling everything hit by the light into the portal and causing it to disappear. All the heroes, villains, and even the agents themselves were dragged into the portal and vanished.
