Hey :P Sorry for not uploading for so long, so much stuff happened recently so I was just way too stressed to upload and write . But that doesn't matter, I'm good now and I'll be back to my weekly uploads :3 I wrote this a while ago and just changed it slightly now so I hope you like :3

Ages:

Ash: 20

Misty: 20

Ben and Katie: 10 months

Disclaimer: I only own Ben and Katie :3

"Okay c'mon now Katie, say daddy on camera for me, won't you?"

I was sat by the window, watching the scene amusedly in between cleaning my ears. Now that my best friends' twins' were 10 months, Ash and Misty were desperately trying to get either of them to say their first word. A miracle and struck and a few hours ago, Ben Ketchum had said his first word of "mommy". Now, the raven haired man, who was also my very best friend, was desperately trying to get his daughter of the twins to say his name. Misty had since gone out to take Ben for an outing in the Pallet hills, leaving father and daughter to have some bonding. After much prompting and kissing and cuddling, Katie had finally said the magic word to Ash. He knew, however, that Misty wouldn't believe him. And that's where we are now as you join me, Ash trying to catch his daughter's second word on camera.

"Please Katie; prove that you can say my name for mommy?" Ash sighed, putting the poke doll he was holding down. "Daddy's gonna look like an idiot if you don't say it on camera."

I snickered to myself, cleaning in between my paw. Next to his girlfriend, Ash always looked like an idiot. But a sweet and loveable one at that.

"I'm gonna tell mommy you said it anyway so you might as well say it..." the tanned male groaned, waving the Vaporeon doll in front of the infants face. "Please..."

I sweat dropped and looked up at my trainer. It was serious; he was doing the famous Ketchum pout.

"Alright I give up..." Ash muttered quietly, shutting off his camera with a disheartened look. My own expression went from amused to sympathetic, seeing his defeated face. I knew more than anyone how he hated losing. I was exactly the same.

I was going back to cleaning my fuzzy head when yet another miracle happened.

"Daddy?"

Both Ash and I's head snapped up and we glanced at each other.

"Daddy!" The red headed baby girl chirped, reaching out to her father.

"Katie..." Ash gasped, his eyes filling with amazed tears before fumbling with the camera. "Katie, you have to say it again, quick!"

I giggled to myself as the whole scene began to repeat itself all over again and the baby girl refused to say his name on camera all over again. Just like her mother, Katie sure knew how to test her father's patience.

The End.

There you go, thanks a lot for reading :P I know it's short and simple but I hope you enjoyed anyway :3 Thanks again and I will be back on Monday with Dear Darlings :P Thanks :3
