Hey, this chapter got removed and I'm not really sure why but I think it's because Misty used the f word so I have removed it ._. Sorry if it offended anyone but I hope you enjoy anyways :3
"Misty?" Ash called as he walked in the front door of their house after a long days training, me perched on his shoulder. "Mist? Where are you?"
The raven haired male kicked off his shoes and began walking in and out of the living room and kitchen in search of his girlfriend. He stopped at the bottom of the stairs and called up.
"Are you still in bed?" he joked before frowning as he walked up the stairs and the sound of the rustling of a duvet filled both our ears. "Are you still in bed?"
Ash walked into hers and his bedroom to see the curtains were still drawn and the room was humid due to the window not being opened yet. He walked over to the bed and sat down next to the shape hidden under the duvet. While he did this, I opened the curtains to let the late evening sun creep in and opened the window for some fresh air.
Misty groaned, poking her head out from under the covers before uttering only two words.
"Go away."
Normally when she said this, it was filled with her fiery tone. This time, however, it was only just a feeble murmur. Ash and I exchanged worried glances. Something was wrong.
"Why are you still in bed? You said you'd be up long before I got home…" Ash ran a concerned hand through his hair.
Misty just shrugged, tugging the duvet back over her head.
"Plans change…" she yawned, curling up into an even tighter ball. "Besides, I'm tired."
I gazed over at Ash once again, shaking my head. Tired my ass. Misty always used the "tired" trick when she was sad, mad or just in a bad mood. I wondered which it was.
"You can't still be tired; you've been in bed all day, clearly." Ash rolled his eyes, tugging the covers off his girlfriend, causing her to shriek. "C'mon Mist, I bet you've not eaten either so what do you say that me, you and Pikachu go out to dinner some place nice?"
Misty sat up and looked down at her lap only before uttering one word this time.
"No…"
Ash gulped slightly at his girlfriend's short reply but that didn't deter him. He looked over at me before putting on an even brighter smile, though I could see his eyes were shaking with worry.
"Why not? You could get dressed up, you like that. You'll look beautiful as usual." He gave his girlfriend a grin and a poke before Misty suddenly snapped.
"No, Ash! I don't want to do anything! Why can't you just leave me alone?!"
Both my best friend and I jumped at this and the raven haired male moved away from the bed, his face pale with shock. Misty doesn't normally snap at him anymore without a good reason. Ash and I were almost trembling with worry for her.
"Mist… What's wrong…?" Ash's voice was barely audible as he sat back down next to his teary eyed girlfriend.
"What's wrong? What could possibly be wrong with me? It's not like I haven't just miscarried a child or anything!"
Ash and I looked at one another and exchanged glances before he sidled next to his girlfriend and began to wipe the tears from her cheeks. I shuffled around on the window sill somewhat guiltily. Misty had every right to be down in the dumps at the moment. Ash and I had been too busy being positive and hiding away our grief that we forgot that we had to be there for the mother without her baby in this awful time.
"Tell me everything, baby…" Ash's voice was barely above a whisper as he cradled a crying Misty close to his chest. I jumped from the window and went to sit on Misty's lap, my head resting on her chest. Her heart was pounding. I know she hadn't talked to Ash about the loss, only James. She didn't want Ash to get as sad as her as she thought he was moving on with it. What she didn't know was that on the inside he was breaking but was staying strong for her.
"I'm so insecure…" Misty sniffed, allowing Ash to wipe her tears away with the hem of his shirt. "I'm a woman and I'm meant to be able to carry a child but I only went and lost it… Why on earth do you want to be with me…?"
Ash looked down at Misty, his own eyes filled with tears but his were a mixture of sadness and confusion.
"Why wouldn't I be with you? I love you, you know that."
"I… I know you love me but I'm a failure. I know all you've ever wanted is a family but I went and failed you and the baby."
The raven haired male hugged her closer, shutting his eyes and letting his own tear trickle down his cheek.
"You haven't failed anybody, what happened… It wasn't your fault… It just happened…" Ash wiped away his tears to appear strong in front of his girlfriend before looking right at her. "And you want to know the reason I'm with you…?"
Misty brushed her hair out of her own eyes to look up at her boyfriend. She was too shaken up to speak but she mouthed a "what?".
"My mom always told me to keep the things that keep you happy as close as possible and to never let them go…" Ash looked right at her before giving Misty a goofy grin. "And you make me very happy indeed, Misty Williams. Whatever we have to face, we will face together because I love you and I am never letting you go. None of this is your fault."
The red headed female was too emotional to speak but I watched her hug Ash tighter than I had ever seen her hug him before. I left the room to give them some privacy in their moment of love and sadness.
Ash and Misty had already been through a lot together and it looked like they were in for an even rougher road as they got older. But whatever they were to go through, I knew as long as they stayed together, they could get through anything.
The End.
There you go! Thanks a lot for reading and I hope you enjoyed :3 I will be back next Thursday aka 28th August for Dear Daddy as it's mine and my boo's anniversary :3 Thanks again!
