Hey :P It's Halloween and like I said a few days ago, I have a special Halloween themed story for you :3 It's just a little bit of fun really and bonding and laughter between Misty and James from Team Rocket and son James :P I hope you like!
Ages:
Ash: 27
Misty: 27
Ben and Katie: 7
James: 34
Baby James: 1
Disclaimer: I own the story and Ash and Misty's kids :'3
"Aww Katie, don't you look adorable? Why don't you go and show your mommy?" James stood up, helping his six year old goddaughter off the ground.
Both Misty and I looked up from carving pumpkins to glance at the young girl dressed as a cat for the special holiday. As you probably guessed, it was Halloween and Misty and I were frantically carving pumpkins and getting the house all spooky looking for when Ash returned from work. Upon seeing the ghost tea lights and bunting everywhere, the twins insisted on getting into their costumes even though it was hours before they were set to go trick or treating with their father. With both Misty and I's hands full, neither of us had the time to dress the children up so she called on James who was more than happy to help out and do their makeup.
Misty clapped her hands together and her eyes shone as she wiped the pumpkin off her hands to go hug both her children. Katie was in a black cat costume with a nose and whiskers painted on her face while Ben went for the complete opposite and chose to be a dog. I smiled to myself as I continued carving a scary face in the pumpkin. Ben and Katie sure fought like cat and dog but most of the time they got along perfectly well. They were best friends as well as twin siblings.
The red headed woman took a few pictures of her children before turning up to look at her best friend with suspicious eyes but also a smirk on her face.
"You did a great job, James, but I gotta say I am suspicious on how you, a man, is so good at doing make up."
James rolled his eyes, washing the face paints off his hands in the kitchen sink before drying them.
"Well it's kind of obvious; I do have a wife and three daughters and a granddaughter." He paused before putting the towel over his shoulder and glancing back at Misty with a confident smirk. "As well as being practically perfect in every way, I'm pretty observant."
After a few minutes of James and Misty teasing each other, James spotted his namesake and Misty's other son in his high chair and lifted him out to give him a hug.
"Hey, he's not dressed as anything. What do you want him to be?"
Misty stood up after settling the twins down to watch some TV and put one hand on her hip, deep in thought.
"Y'know, I haven't thought about him. Isn't one too young to get dressed up?"
James smiled as the chestnut haired baby babbled excitedly and waved his hands in the air.
"Of course he isn't. Look, I think he really wants to get dressed up."
I looked over at little James and my heart melted. Ash and Misty's third child was a perfect mix of the both of them in terms of personality and he often showed both sides of him in a few seconds. Today he was showing the enthusiasm of his father and I found it to be adorable.
James put the little boy on his hip before carrying over to the kitchen table before going on his phone to look at baby Halloween costume ideas.
"I'm gonna make you super cute, yes I am."
Misty and I caught each other's glance and gave each other a small smile. It's funny how someone could change so much. James was in Team Rocket, an evil organisation which committed crimes you wouldn't believe. 16 years down the line he was a loving husband, father, best friend, uncle and godfather. Time really can change someone and in his case, it did for the better.
I drifted so deeply into thought of all my family and friends surrounding me, by the time I came out, James had finished doing little James' costume.
"Ta da!" the purple haired man grinned as he spun the baby around to his mother.
Before I could even look at the infant in his fancy costume, I heard Misty gasp and snatch him from James.
"James, why did you turn my son into a pumpkin?!"
I glanced over at little James laughing in his mother's arms. Sure enough, the other James had dressed him in an orange onesie with a special pumpkin hat. In my point of view, he looked adorable but Misty obviously didn't think so.
"It's kind of obvious why I did it-"
The green orbed man was cut off by his best friend giving him the absolute worst of death stares.
"Don't you dare say it's because he has orange hair!
James recovered from Misty's furious expression to flip his hair and give her yet another confident smirk.
"His hair isn't orange, Misty, it's actually more of a chestnut colour. And-"
Once again, James couldn't finish his sentence but this was because of a completely different reason.
Misty put baby James in the highchair and faced him the other way before checking the twins were engrossed in their TV show and they were. Without hesitation, she snatched the pumpkin I had just finished carving and aimed it at her best friends head. It didn't hit him full force but brushed the side of his head enough before crashing down on his foot.
The red headed woman wiped her hands on her jeans before returning James' confident smirk back at him.
I looked at James nursing his foot on the floor before bursting into laughter. I didn't really understand why Halloween was scary and still didn't. There was something much scarier in the world. Misty's temper.
The End.
There you go! Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed :P So yeah it's just a oneshot full of fun and violence really :'3 Thanks again for reading and I'll be back on the 7th for PokeShipping day :3
