Hey :P It's Wednesday so that means another update as usual. I got the idea for this little cute Christmassey one after a conversation with my TT :3 I hope you enjoy!

Disclaimer: I own only the story :3

"Look, Pikachu, just one more piece to go!" Ash grinned excitedly up at me as he spread ninety nine different patterned material squares in front of him.

It was the middle of December and my raven haired best friend was busy preparing a present for his baby daughter's first Christmas. We always made a big deal out of this holiday and always gathered with all of our friends to Delia's house in Pallet Town. Now that Ash and Misty had children of their own, they were even more excited and determined that this year was going to be even more special.

Ash was normally terrible at getting presents for his friends and family and always left it to the last minute. It was a rare occasion and I had actually been successful in making him get them before Christmas Eve. All his presents were bought and all that was left was Katie's one. Delia had given Ash the idea of making his twins a hundred wishes blanket which was a blanket made up of one hundred squares of material that his friends and family all donated. My best friend finished his sons one a week ago and had already been wrapped up but was taking more time on his daughters. He didn't favour Katie over Ben; he just knew that as she was a girl, she would appreciate more intricate work as she got older.

I sprung over to where Ash was sitting cross legged and jumped onto his lap. Together we counted and looked at each individual piece of material. I recognised one with roses on from Jessie and James and one with his own face on from Gary. Cameron and donated a square from one of his headbands as did Tracey and May offered a chunk from her bandana. There were squares from all over the world and with lots of different values and meanings. I hoped Katie would appreciate the specialness of it when she was older.

Ash scratched the back of his head thoughtfully, looking at the ninety nine squares splayed out in front of him.

"That's odd…" he muttered, staring hard at the designs on the floor. "I could have sworn we asked one hundred people but there's only ninety nine there. Pikachu, help me check again."

I groaned inwardly but did what I was told. I thought my brain was going to explode from all the staring and counting!

My eyes scanned the fabric from Misty, Delia, Jessie, James and myself before a thought struck me.

Ash, you fool, you haven't even donated your own piece.

The raven haired man blushed and let out his trademark sheepish laugh while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Of course, how could I forget?" he laughed the embarrassment off before uncrossing his legs and sighing. "To tell you the truth, I haven't got a piece. I wanted something super special to give Katie, like I gave Ben a section from the jacket I wore travelling through Kanto when I was ten."

I looked at Ash sympathetically, but my mind was racing through thoughts and ideas. Ash needed something special to give to his daughter that also meant something to Misty. It needed to somehow connect them all. My eyes grew wide as I had an answer.

Ash, your hankie!

As soon as I said this simple word, Ash had the same exact thoughts as mine and he ran up the stairs to retrieve the special handkerchief from the back of his drawer. He came down the stairs and held the material out in front of him, his face decorated in a glowing grin.

"Yes, Pikachu, that's perfect!" he let out a loud breath in relief and excitement, sitting back down to place the square next to the others. Ash smiled, looking right at me with his chocolate brown eyes.

"This has so much meaning, buddy. I've had it for nine years and it wiped my tears and even bandaged your paws when they got hurt. This piece of material connects you, me, Misty and now Katie too. It's perfect."

We both smiled, looking down at the now hundred pieces in front of us. It was like a jigsaw puzzle almost and the final step was for Delia to sew it together.

After looking at each individual piece for the hundredth time, Ash and I looked up at each other and our eyes met again. I knew we were both thinking the same thing.

The one hundred squares were going to fit together and form together to make a hundred wishes blanket. It's funny that now that Ash, Misty, Ben, Katie and the rest of our family and friends and I were together and all knew each other, all of our wishes had come true.

The End.

There you go! Thanks for reading and hope you enjoyed it :3 As usual, I will be back next Wednesday. Next weeks and all of the updates this month will be a little bit festive :3
