Hello :P Today is Wednesday so I am back for my weekly update. I actually wrote this one back in April and it was the first story after a bit of writer's block I had. I actually quite like how this turned out so I hope you enjoy :3
Ages:
Ash: 33
Jessika: 6
James: 40
Jazzy: 20
Gary: 34
Melissa: 14
"No, daddy, that's not how a princess would walk!"
I awoke from my nap on the window sill in the hall to hear Jessika's delicate giggles and the sound of her skipping around the room. My eyes crept open sleepily and I couldn't help myself but have a peep round the door. I stifled a laugh as I saw Ash attempt to walk like a princess once again, his legs sticking out in a clumsy fashion.
"No, daddy, not like that at all…" she sighed and shook her head at her father before her aquamarine orbs were filled with love for him as he pulled a silly face while clumping around. I wondered if she saw my best friend and saw a magician of some sort because the effect he had on her sure was magical.
Jessika clapped her hands in delight at his antics before handing him a toy pokeball belonging to her eldest brother, Ben.
"There, if you balance this on your head, then you are sure to get the correct posture."
I couldn't help but question where a little girl at the age of six could have picked up such a mature word. I shrugged and assumed it was from a Disney princess movie, going back to watching the scene from the doorway.
Ash attempted to stand with the pokeball on his head but like we both knew it would, it wobbled and crashed onto the floor within seconds.
"I don't think even the best princess could balance that on her head. It has a mind of its own!" he let out a laugh as he tried again but the same thing happened. Ben was sure going to be suspicious when he came back from training with Eddie to see his toy with a massive dent in it.
Jessika frowned up at her father, her arms folded.
"Daddy, no princess is the best princess. They're all amazing and different and that's what makes them princess-y!" her expression softened to a beam before she ran to fetch a book. When she returned, she handed it to Ash.
"There, this will definitely help with your posture because it's a book about posture!"
I couldn't help but smile lovingly as I took a glance at the book and saw it had a plain black cover on it. Little Jessika's imagination sure was strong. She took after her mother and older sister, in that aspect.
Watching Ash attempt to walk like a princess and his daughter giving him strict but loving instructions made my own heart filled with love. Even though I didn't have a family of my own, I kind of did. I was a massive part of this family and I couldn't adore them all more if I tried.
My loving thoughts were interrupted by Jessika clapping and squealing louder than normal, her eyes practically aglow with light.
"Daddy, I have the most perfect idea!" she grinned, thrusting a tutu and tiara into her father's hands. "Wear these; this will definitely make you like a princess!"
I assumed that Ash would object to his daughter's wish. After all, he had many experiences of dressing up in girly clothes and all of them were back. To my shock, Ash just smiled at his youngest daughter and did exactly as she wished.
I was filled with even more respect for him as he pranced around daintily, dressed in a sea blue tutu with pink ruffles and a matching tiara on his head. It took a real man to dress up as a princess for his daughter.
Jessika's eyes were filled with even more love as he finally began to walk the correct way.
"Wow, daddy! I think you've gone past the princess stage and have become a queen!"
Laughing at the fact that she had promoted her father, I didn't even notice James had come along the hall and had pushed open the living room door. Many of our friends were over and they were obviously wondering where Princess Ash and Jessika had gotten to.
James pretended to gasp as he leaned up against the door frame, his green orbs glinting with amusement. Ash's face grew bright red as he saw his wife's best friend standing there.
"Well well, I didn't know the Pokemon Master had become the Pokemon Mistress!"
I couldn't help but snigger at this comment and James turned to look at me in a proud way. Ash was about to open his mouth to respond when Gary came up behind James and he too began laughing at Ash.
"Wow Ash, I gotta say that is an improvement." He narrowed his eyes in a teasing way at his best friend and pushed his father in law out the way to get a proper look. "Let me know if you need to borrow any high heels from Jayme!"
That was all Gary could say as the deepest red blush took over my raven haired best friend's face before he slammed the door on the two laughing male's. Just before the door slammed shut, I managed to get a look of Ash pulling up his skirt in quite the dignified manner.
My attention soon turned to James and Gary who were still in the hall, almost doubled over with laughing. I rolled my eyes in a fond way. Those two got the giggles over practically everything Ash did.
"The way his skirt was tucked into his jeans at the back." James snickered to Gary, standing up to wipe the glistening year of laughter in his eye. "What an imbecile!"
The auburn haired pokemon professor nodded in agreement before imitating Ash's princess walk and posture.
"I was more concerned by the tutu and tiara if I'm quite honest! What an absolute wuss!"
I was about to stick up for my best friend when I soon noticed James was waving his hands in the air to dry the art on his nails that his daughter, Jazzy, had just done for him. I was about to comment on them when Melissa Oak called out to her father that she wanted him to go back and let her do his make up.
I couldn't help but sigh and shake my head as I curled up to sleep. They ribbed Ash for all they were worth because he dressed up like a princess, but they were just as willing to get in touch with their feminine side as he was. There was absolutely nothing wrong with what each Ash, Gary and James did with their daughter's. At the end of the day, when their children had grown up and left home, they would remember their fathers were doting dad's, rather than too proud to join in with a harmless game of makeovers, teddies and princesses. Ash, Gary and James were whipped and I thought it was the most wonderful thing in the world.
The End.
There you go! Thanks for reading and I hope you liked it :3 This story was inspired by this fanart AAML-TAML did, it's so cute and one of my favourites of hers T.T I headcanon and I think she does too that Jessika (or Elisha as she calls her), tortures her dad with her girly-ness and makes him dress up in tutus and tiaras but he secretly loves it :P Anyway, thanks so much for reading and I'll be back next Wednesday :3
AmyBieberKetchum signing out :P
