Hello :P It is Wednesday so I am back with a new chapter. This is another one I wrote quite a while ago now but it seems like yesterday. I haven't been writing as much as I normally do and the ideas haven't been flowing as well so that's why I'm uploading ones in my stash :P Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. It's kind of an important moment between James and Meowth with some cute family and RocketShipping hints :3

It was a beautiful but cold night in the Kalos Region and I was spending it hunting for firework for the rest of the group back at the camp. Once again, Misty had flown over from Kanto to join her boyfriend so even more wood was required than usual to warm even more bodies. My ears twitched when I caught sight of a cosy looking lodge. Maybe someone in there could direct me to a heap of firewood? Or just maybe they were kind enough to let us in to keep warm? My fur tingled with the possibility and I leapt onto the window sill. Taking a peep inside the window, I could see that this group of people weren't the type to help us out.

I watched the purple haired man put an extra blanket on his magenta haired team mate before pressing a kiss to her forehead. I frowned at this action. Had those two hooked up at last? Or was he so far in the friend zone that he could do that sort of thing? I didn't know and continued watching James slowly shuffle to where Meowth was keeping warm by the fire.

"Hey Jimmy." The talking Pokémon greeted the man before turning his head back towards the warmth. "I'm sensing some kind of thinking going on in that blue head of yours, Jim, what's up?"

James just let out a sigh and took his gloves off, holding his hands up to the fire to feel the heat. After a while of his forehead creasing into a frown and his eyes looking deep in thought, the sensitive man finally spoke.

"Me and Jessie want to talk to you about something. Something pretty massive, actually." James didn't look at the Pokémon and began chewing his lip.

Meowth looked away from the fire and up at his good friend with a slight playful smirk on his feline mouth.

"Jessie's not knocked up again, is she? Jeez, James, I thought your twins were enough for you guys and me to handle."

Upon hearing this, I nearly fell off the window sill. After a few moments of my mind racing, everything finally added up. The long break they took back in Unova, them not seeming to care to catch me so much and us not running into them half the time. Jessie and James had become a couple, perhaps even married, and now had twin little ones! I turned my attention back to the scene, intrigued.

James couldn't help but smile slightly and shook his head, reaching out to pat between the Pokémon's ears.

"No, she's definitely not. And you're right, those two are as much as we can handle." His smile turned from a smirk to a fond look and he leaned back with his palms on the floor. "You're close though, it is about Jazmyn and Justin."

Jazmyn and Justin? Of course they would give their children J names.

Meowth didn't speak but rested his back against the man's leg to show he was waiting and listening.

James' smile soon faded and he looked up at the ceiling, his eyes full of depth once again.

"I don't really know how to tell you this…" he sighed, chewing his lip before glancing down at Meowth. "Me and Jessie are thinking about quitting Team Rocket."

Meowth and I both shared a gasp but I quietened mine in case they somehow heard me.

"You what, Jimmy? I think all this parenting thing has messed with your head, you're absolutely crazy."

Upon hearing this, James grunted in a displeased manner at his friend's words and sat up, his finger twirling around his strand.

"I'm not crazy. Since being with Jessie and having the twins, I've finally been thinking straight. Team Rocket has been a huge part of our life but it's not the life we want for our children."

Meowth shook his head in disbelief, meeting James' green orbs with steady blue ones.

"No offence but what else are you going to do? You're not trained in anything; you're just being reckless quitting Team Rocket without having a back-up plan."

James sighed at his friend's unsupportiveness and took his leg away so the feline Pokémon lost his balance.

"We're not being reckless because we haven't officially quit, we're just thinking about it. And of course we'll have a back-up plan. I can't believe you're being so unsupportive when we let you do that noodle crap way back."

It was Meowth's turn to narrow his eyes at his friend's words but he soon softened again and leaned back up against James' leg.

"I'm sorry. This is just all I've ever wanted and I thought you wanted it too."

James reached out and patted his head to show he wasn't angry at his long time Pokémon partner and sighed, looking up at the ceiling once again. When the lavender haired man remained silent, Meowth spoke.

"I don't know, Jimmy. I never thought a girl was gonna be the reason you quit Team Rocket."

James nibbled his lip before turning back behind him to glance where his romantic partner was soundly sleeping.

"It's not like she's any old girl, Meowth. It may be crazy soon that we had kids together but she's the one, believe me."

Both Meowth and I couldn't help but smile at James' soft and lovestruck expression. When Meowth didn't comment, James continued.

"Jessie was the reason I began to work so hard in Team Rocket and maybe now she's the reason I quit. I don't know, Meowth, I just want the best life for my children to thank them for giving me a life, a better life."

James' words were touching but he groaned and laid down on the hard floor, his palms pressed to his eyes.

"Me and Jessie want them to have a good life. But we want them to have it with the both of us and their friend Meowth too."

The sensitive man's voice was muffled as if he was crying to contain his emotion so Meowth shuffled to his side and poked his hand so he removed it from his eye.

"They're always gonna have their parents and their Meowth. They deserve a better life than any of us have had so if quitting Team Rocket is what you decide then I'm in. We're a team, Jimmy."

James sat up and blinked at the Pokémon, a smile beginning to overtake his face once again.

"Really? You'll really join us in whatever it is that we decide to do?"

"Of course I will, Jim, I wanna watch you and Jess mess up them two with your very weird ways."

I watched James pretend to scowl but lay down with Meowth on his chest. James' fingers were stroking his strand once again and the feline yawned.

"Besides, I overheard the twerp saying to his girlfriend that he was thinking of giving up journeying after the Kalos league so maybe it's time for a change."

James frowned upon hearing this, glancing at Meowth with slightly confused and worried orbs.

"You mean things are about to change even more? Even us and the twerps will be out of each other's lives?"

Meowth smiled fondly at the man and pushed his head down with his paw to tell him to relax once again.

"Let's just see what happens, Jimmy. Us and the twerp group have always had some strange pull and I don't think it's a coincidence. Maybe this is the start of weird and wonderful things."

I smiled to myself and decided to carry on with my hunt for firewood. At the time I hated to admit it, but looking back now I realise that the fellow Pokémon couldn't be more right. Team Rocket and we "twerps" had always appeared to be enemies but deep down we all cared about one and other's happiness and well-being. We knew they weren't completely evil and I think they knew we weren't complete goody goodies. What we didn't know is that we were about to all join forces and begin the most amazing journey of them all. It's a funny old world, isn't it?

Especially his relationships and character after quitting Team Rocket with the others. It's ironic how Meowth asks James if Jessie's pregnant again and he denies it but soon enough they realise she's pregnant with their third child, Jayden :P I also have a headcanon that there's a creche in the Team Rocket headquarters so that's where all the offspring go when their parents are working :3 Thanks again for reading and I will be back again next Wednesday :P
