Hello :P Once again I had a hard time figuring out which one I wanted up upload so gave my mum the list and she chose this one. This is a bit different and focuses on Jessie and Cameron's relationship. After getting into The Big Bang Theory, I saw Penny and Sheldon's relationship like theirs and so wrote this one night. I hope you enjoy this further introduction into Cameron's character and how innocent and childlike he is :3

Ages:

Jessie: 27

James: 27

Cameron: 19

Disclaimer: I own only the story :3

I was sitting on the window sill in the hallway, just enjoying the stillness of the night and the calmness of my surroundings when someone came out of their flat. They glanced left and right, checking to see if anyone else was awake before padding to the flat adjacent to theirs. My own eyes swivelled to check if Cameron had spotted me. He had not and he cleared his throat before knocking six times on the door.

"Jessie." He whispered before continuing a pattern of six knocks and the female's name until we both heard footsteps and the door was unlocked.

The magenta haired female groaned to herself, looking down at the khaki haired male as her tired fingers made their way through her own hair.

"Cameron? What time is it?"

The quirky male just beamed up at the older female, his arms tucked behind his back as he answered her.

"It was 05:37 when I made my way over here. It must be at least 05:39 at this point."

Jessie raised a slight eyebrow but was used to his antics and just leaned against the doorframe, holding her hand over her mouth when a yawn took over her.

"What are you doing here? Is everything okay over there?"

Cameron just stayed smiling at the female and ran his fingers through his lose hair, his eyes wide with a childlike innocence.

"I'm fine thanks for asking. May I come in?"

Jessie's blue eyes grew even more confused at this and she noticed me sitting on the window sill. She gave me a shrug to which I returned before sighing quietly and nodding, beckoning Cameron into the Morgan flat. When she gestured to me, I trotted in also for the company and change of scenery.

The pink haired female watched as Cameron trotted across the flat and into the living room area, plopping himself down in the usual seat which he took. I couldn't help but smirk slightly as I made my way to sit on the back of the sofa. We were all promised craziness when we became friends and moved in together and judging by things so far, tonight wasn't going to disappoint.

Jessie couldn't help but let off another yawn before sitting next to Cameron, glancing at him.

"Are you sure you're okay? I mean, even in your standards, it's not that normal to pop round for a chat in the early hours of the morning."

Cameron just shrugged, snuggling back into the back cushion of the sofa and swinging his legs playfully like a child. After a few moments of him staying silent and Jessie raising an eyebrow at him, he spoke.

"I just thought that maybe you missing James may have led to some strange dreams and you may want to check that I'm not missing him too much either."

I smiled fondly as Cameron had clearly twisted the story to make it seem like he wasn't the one missing James. Jessie shook her head equally as fondly and she began tying her hair into a loose bun as she spoke to the younger male.

"I think what happened is you had a nightmare over missing James and came over here pretending to check on me but really wanted to be in the last place my husband was."

Cameron's light teal orbs swivelled around innocently and he rubbed the back of his neck, giving Jessie a smile.

"So how are the kids?"

Jessie couldn't help but laugh quietly at this and she raised an eyebrow at the young man.

"They're asleep. Which is what you should be doing too."

Cameron sighed quietly and stopped swinging his legs, leaning further back into the sofa and resting his head on his arm.

"Maybe I'm not as mysterious as I thought…" he pouted slightly, going back to playing with his loose locks. "I am missing James. And I keep having weird dreams. Even for me. It's so weird with him not around."

Jessie couldn't help but smile softly as she saw once again just how heavily her husband influenced everybody here but especially people like Cameron. I found it quite ironic how he was an enemy while in Team Rocket but now he is quite a family favourite. Who could resist just a simply nice guy?

She hesitated before reaching out to pat Cameron's shoulder slightly, causing his head to snap up and turn to look at her.

"I know you're missing him and all the little things he does for you throughout the day but he will be back soon. Besides, Jayde is probably missing him too and you seeing as you left her to come see me."

Cameron gave her a small smile, his eyes glancing in the direction of their flat.

"She's fine, the animals are watching over her." He played with a strand of his hair before sighing again, causing the hair to blow out of his eyes. "I just want everything back to normal."

Jessie nodded at the younger male, playing with her own hair before glancing back at him. As she spoke, she gave him yet another slight nod.

"How about we do something to take your mind off things?"

I could see she was trying to swallow her yawns and I was too. But she could tell that Cameron missed her husband and I could tell she did too. Besides, you do these things for family and believe me, we all truly were family.

Upon hearing this, Cameron beamed and looked at Jessie hopefully.

"Are we going look at photos of James?"

Jessie raised an eyebrow at this but hid it with a quiet laugh, playing with the strands that were coming loose from her bun.

"No…" she smirked slightly, pulling her legs to cross them on the sofa next to Cameron. "I was thinking we kill two birds with one stone."

Jessie groaned when Cameron gasped in horror at her choice of words. She reached out to pat his knee reassuringly, shaking her head fondly at him.

"No, Cameron. I don't mean literally. I mean you need distracting and it would be fun to get to know each other more so how about we each tell the other person something they may not know?"

Cameron breathed out happily in relief before furrowing his brow, glancing at Jessie.

"Does it have to be personal?"

When Jessie shrugged, indicating it can be whatever he wanted, Cameron asked another question.

"Can it involve James?"

Upon hearing this, the blue orbed lady pretended to sigh but couldn't help but smirk, hugging her legs for warmth as she nodded.

"Fine, mine will be about James. Shall I go first?"

When Cameron nodded happily and sunk even further into the sofa, Jessie paused for a moment, thinking of what she was going to tell him.

"I think James looks really good when he's drawing." The magenta haired female announced, her cheeks going slightly rosy as she said this.

Surprisingly, Cameron pulled a face when he heard this and brushed his hair out of his eyes before looking at her.

"That's not exactly a secret."

Both Jessie and I choked on a laugh upon hearing this. I could tell we were both wondering if Cameron meant it was no secret to her fancying James when he drew or Cameron felt the same way. Jessie pretended to sigh, taking out her bun and doing it again.

"Okay, fine. I'll do another one…" she trailed off, fixing her hair before thinking of another thing to tell Cameron. "I used to live in a care home when I was very little."

This confession was met with some silence and Cameron just continued looking at Jessie with his normal wide and childlike gaze. I didn't know if he knew this personal detail or not but soon enough he just smiled at Jessie, accepting this information. I couldn't help but smile slightly at the young man. For the lady who used to be in Team Rocket who hated getting too personal or seeming weak, she had managed to open up a little to the younger man and he reacted in the perfect way. Good on you, Cameron.

The khaki haired male was quiet for a few moments as he thought of what he wanted to tell Jessie. Once he had thought of it, he suddenly blurted out.

"I have 37 headbands."

Jessie smirked slightly, wrinkling her nose playfully and reaching to nudge Cameron.

"How many of them have-"

"I am uncomfortable telling you how many of them have your husband as the theme." He interjected. Jessie laughed out loud before covering her mouth, satisfied in his quirkiness and also that she knew him well enough to ask what he was already planning on telling her.

Cameron was about to let out another fine bit of gossip to her when Jessie's phone suddenly rang. Her eyes went down to the flashing phone and she smiled to herself before picking it up in her hand. Cameron could tell who it was by her smile and forgot there were sleeping children in the house.

"James!" he beamed, standing up on the sofa and doing a little excited bounce.

Jessie smirked at the quirky male and gestured for him to sit down before holding her phone to her ear, her little secret and happy smile returning.

"Hey honey, how are you doing?" she smiled more as she heard her husband's voice, glancing at her world clock and seeing it was only early night time where he was. "I'm missing you too. We all are."

Cameron turned and met my eyes, nodding and beaming as he pointed to himself. I smirked and nodded at his little antics. Yes, Cameron. I know you're missing him too.

When Cameron turned back to Jessie, her cheeks were even pinker and she giggled slightly, running a hand through her hair.

"James, don't talk like that now. Cameron is here."

The khaki haired male beamed and blushed with happiness as his name was said to his hero, bouncing on the sofa on his bottom.

Jessie engaged in a bit of small talk and romantic words with her husband before smirking, putting him on loudspeaker and glancing at Cameron as she spoke to her husband.

"Listen, James. Cameron is here. Do you think you could say a few words to him?"

Cameron held his breath with hope and I feared his lungs may have exploded when the phone got passed to him. I could tell James was smirking on the other end as he spoke to his daughter's boyfriend.

"Hey Cam, how are you?"

Cameron's cheeks flushed with pride as he got called his personal nickname and his mouth went into a v shape of happiness before he gabbled on to James.

"I'm fine, thank you. I had a nightmare where you were chased with a tattoo gun? Do you think that's possible? Oh, I got my chin caught in my zipper again and Misty had to help me with it but it wasn't the same. I've been wearing my lavender headband since you left. Do you think you can make the chickens them? I've been eating my greens."

Everybody but Cameron stifled a laugh as he continued babbling nonsense to James for quite some time but it was clearly hearty and worthwhile conversation in his eyes. After a while, James cleared his throat and interrupted him.

"Listen, Cam that's great. But I don't suppose you could do me a favour, could you?"

Cameron gasped quietly at this great honour and his cheeks flushed again with anticipation.

"Yes, sir. Anything."

Jessie smirked and glanced between the phone and Cameron as he awaited his instructions.

"I forgot to ask you before I left but I need you to take extra care of Jayde. It's around this time that I know she misses her old dad so it would be fantastic if you went and cuddled back up with her while I finish up talking to Jess." I could hear his voice was light-hearted but his voice got stern and father like briefly. "Just cuddles. Nothing else."

Cameron was too busy leaping up off the sofa to do as his hero commanded to hear the protectiveness in his voice.

"Yes, sir. Anything for you, sir."

I could tell James had gone back to smirking and he laughed quietly into the phone.

"Thanks, Cam. I appreciate it." He thanked the khaki haired male as he darted out into the hall before his voice got deeper and slower. "Now, beautiful, where were we…?"

Jessie smirked and blushed, putting her husband temporarily on hold as she stood up and went to the hall to wave off Cameron.

He beamed when he saw her as he had been standing in the hall like a puppy and wanting to be watched on his walk back home.

"Goodnight Jessie." He beamed, trotting back towards his flat before glancing over his shoulder to smile happily at her. "It's funny how James asked me to take care of Jayde right now and before he left, he asked me to take care of you while he was away. He must really trust me."

I went back to sit on the window sill and watched as Cameron darted back into his flat and Jessie stayed lingering, a girly smile on her face as she reflected on Cameron's words. She caught me staring and stuck her tongue out playfully before heading back into her flat. She was probably heading to bed. Or to bed with James on the phone.

I found Cameron's words and James' secret request to be very sweet. Jessie was one of the strongest and most independent women I knew but it's always nice to know you have people looking out for you. That's exactly what we did in our family. We could go into one and other's flat no matter what the clocks read. We could tell each other personal secrets. We could admire one and other almost to the point of worship. And we could take care of one and other. And oh boy, did we take care of one and other.

The End.

There you go! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed :3 I'm a little worried about Cameron coming off too weird. Well, he is I guess but I like to write him as being one of those people who is very childlike even in their teens and adults and takes the simplest approach to life. And doesn't have any shame in his major admiration for his future father in law, James :P Thanks again for reading and I will be back again on Wednesday so see you then!
