"All those that can't defend the village have been sent to the secret shelter, Master Pluto," Mayor Woolley of the Forest Village said.

Pluto nodded him a congratulatory nod. He and his friends Fifi the Peke and Figaro the cat were supervising the defences of the village in case another attack from Lady Brenda and her Earth Army arrived. It was usually their leader Cy-Toad that would have given the orders around. She looked after the pets ever since their owners, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, were taken away from them. They hoped their owners were still okay and they hoped Cy-Toad was okay.

"Master Pluto?"

Pluto turned to face an albatross, who was the village's doctor.

"I've finished bandaging up Dinah's legs up," he told them.

Pluto was pleased to hear that. He looked at his crush Dinah the Dachshund, her legs all wrapped up in bandages. She was far away from her owners because the Earth Army attacked their village she lived in. Her owners told her to leave them for her own safety. She didn't want to, but she sadly knew she had to. She ran as fast as she could, but her legs got broken as she did. Luckily, she was discovered by Cy-Toad and her pet army when they went out to check the forest for any enemy activity. She was no doubt going through a lot of pain – both psychically and emotionally – but she felt better for seeing Pluto, just as much as he did for seeing her.

"But they will take a long time to heal," the doctor went on.

So Pluto nodded to the doctor a 'thank you' nod before he nudged his head, ordering the doctor to have Dinah taken into the shelter.

Then Pluto went to check with Fifi and Figaro. They all in their own languages – barking or meowing – talked to each other and reported to each other that everything was going according to plan. The villagers who could defend the village were ready and those who couldn't were safe in the shelter. They thought they were doing by a good job, but they still wished that their leader Cy-Toad was here to supervise them to make them feel more confident about it. They knew that she had to check something and that was why she didn't return to Forest Village with them, but the longer she didn't come back, the more the pets got worried.

Then Pluto smelled something. He could smell Dinah. He saw a villager taking her on a trolley away from the shelter instead of into it. Puzzled why that villager, who was wearing a hood over her, was doing that, he ran to her and barked. Fifi and Figaro joined him.

"Hey, hey, calm down, Master Pluto," the hooded person said. "I was taking Dinah something to be healed properly."

But Pluto didn't stop barking. He never forgot what Cy-Toad taught him and his pet friends – don't believe or trust anyone except her and her friends.

While Pluto continued to bark, Fifi went behind the hooded figure and tore off the hood and cloak off.

Everyone gasped when they saw it was a hippo and that hippo was Lady Brenda, Leader of the Earth Army.

"Defenders, get her!" Mayor Woolley yelled as he and the defenders charged for her. But they got stopped when they saw monsters appearing out of the ground. They were soil monsters, grass monsters, golems and moving trees among the many soldiers from the Earth Earth.

"Surrender, everyone!" Brenda yelled at the pets and the villagers. "Surrender now!"

But the pets didn't. Pluto and Fifi kept growling and Figaro kept hissing at Brenda as they continued to approached her.

"Cy-Toad isn't here to help you," Brenda said, "and you three don't stand a chance against me and my army. So, surrender now or you and your friends will become relics inside the ground. Starting with your girlfriend, Pluto." She held up poor Dinah by her long ears.

The pets looked at each other while they tried to think of any other way than surrendering. When none of them came up with an idea at all, they all sighed and both surrendered to the chains that was being used as if they were dog's leads. Dinah joined them in chains.

"Aw, you guys must feel so sad and feel like a bunch of losers because you failed to protect this lovely village and your dear friends," Brenda said to Pluto, Fifi and Figaro. "Well, you know what? You should be because you are."

The pets didn't respond to that, with the exception of just glaring at her. They were in the middle of the village in chains along with all their Forest Village friends and surrounded by Brenda and her Earth Army.

"Don't worry," Brenda said. "I've taken care of Cy-Toad. You guys will be joining her soon. But your friends here will join her first so you can watch them go before you and feel like a bunch of even worse failures and die miserably."

She laughed evilly and so did her whole army.

"Who said you idiots could laugh?" Brenda snapped at her army. "Get on with it! Start with the mayor!"

Everyone gasped as they watched two tree soldiers drag poor Mayor Woolly by his chain. Then he got slammed in front of Brenda.

"Everyone, say goodbye to your beloved mayor before he gets squished to death," Brenda said.

"Goodbye," the Earth Army said.

"No!" Brenda yelled. "Not you, you idiots!"

"But, Lady Brenda," the leader of the golems, "you said everyone."

"I would explain," Brenda said, "but you morons are just too stupid to understand and learn! Now, just shut up and get the mayor squashed!"

The golem leader approached Mayor Woolly, lifted his giant rocky foot up and started to lower it down. Pluto, Fifi, Figaro and their Forest Village friends couldn't look. Then they heard a yell, but it wasn't coming from the mayor; it was coming from the golem leader, who was lying on his back. Then they all looked to see the mayor was unharmed and they were very relieved and happy that they were.

"What are you doing?" Brenda yelled at the golem leader. "Get up!"

"I'm sorry, Lady Brenda, but I can't," the golem leader said. "Not on my own, anyway."

Brenda turned to the nearest two golems. She pointed to the one in the left. "You, help him up." Then she turned to the one on the right. "And you, turn the mayor into a pancake."

"Would you like maple syrup as well, my lady? And butter? And blueberries? And –"

"Never mind all that!" Brenda snapped. "Just squash him with your big, massive foot! NOW!"

The golems went to do what they were told to do, but before they could, something was thrown onto their heads and they were knocked down.

"Find out what's knocking the golems down and help them up!" Brenda ordered the rest of the Earth Army.

The Earth Army went to obey their orders.

"Lady Brenda, rocks," reported a grass monster.

"What about them?" Brenda demanded.

"I think that's what causing the golems to fall down," the grass monster explained.

"Rocks are causing rock monsters to fall?"

"They must be coming from the sky."

"Don't be so stupid! It never rains rocks!"

Then Brenda jumped as a giant rock nearly squashed her. Then she saw more rocks were falling. She looked up and saw them falling through… the clouds?

"Hey, Brenda! Enjoying the rocky weather?"

Brenda turned and was shocked to face Cy-Toad approaching her. The Forest Village and the Pet Army were delighted to see her.

"How did you get out of that cave, Cy-Toad?" she demanded.

"Well, you asked so I'll show you." Cy-Toad moved aside and she revealed Cy-Had, followed by Chip, Dale, Gadget, Monty and Zipper.

Brenda just chuckled. "Excellent effort… for nothing! It'll take more than two Cy-Rangers, a bunch of rodents to stop me and a well-hidden machine that rains rocks to stop me and my army."

"How about a whole village?" Cy-Toad asked.

Brenda turned to face the whole Forest Village and the Pet Army free. They were completely free. The villagers even had their gardening tools ready and Pluto and Fifi were growling and Figaro was hissing at her again.

"How?" Brenda asked. "Did you get them free?"

"Like we'd tell you what we did so we can't outsmart you the next time," Cy-Had said.

"Well, we still ain't going to leave and there's no way you can –" Then Brenda heard screaming. She saw her entire Earth Army running back into the forest like cowards. She learned why – the two Cy-Rangers were scaring them away. Cy-Toad was carrying a flame thrower and that was how she was scaring the tree monsters, the bush monsters, the grass monsters and the soil monsters away. Cy-Had was carrying a hammer and a chisel and that was how she was scaring the golem monsters away.

"You were saying?" Cy-Toad said, as she and Cy-Had aimed their flame throwers at her.

"You gonna waste your Earth magic on us only for it to be burnt?" Cy-Had asked.

Brenda sighed. "Fine! You win this round. But my army and I'll be back and next time you and your friends won't be so lucky." Then she twirled her finger and then leaves, patches of grass, sticks and rocks whirl-pooled around her. Then she vanished and the stuff around her fell down.
