Hello :P It is the first Wednesday of 2018 and I am back with a new chapter. I'm really happy to be uploading this one. It's the introduction of a new character and one who I love writing about, coming up with and creating all kinds of things involving them. It is the first baby that James and Lynne have together. A girl. She's called Jorgie. So I hope you enjoy meeting her as a newborn and seeing how in love James is with her :3

Ages:

James: 40

Misty: 33

James Ketchum: 6

Jessie: 41

Lynne: 30

Disclaimer: I own the story and Lynne, James K and Jorgie :3

James cradled the tiny newborn ginger haired little girl close to his chest and breathed out adoringly, his eyes shining with love for the new little life. She let out a squeak in her sleep and although she was too brand new to smile, she seemed so happy and content to be against the chest of her father. And he was over the moon to be holding her so close to him. In his own words, he was floating on air and he didn't want to be away from his newest little daughter for even a moment.

Misty rolled her eyes fondly at her best friend who was smitten with the newborn Morgan-Williams and her half-sister but she couldn't help but beam for him. She had been there before. She knew the magic of having a new baby to cherish. And she knew how broody he'd been for many years and was delighted for him that he'd finally got the chance to be a father all over again. Even if it was with her mother.

As little James sat on the sofa with me and swung his legs from wearing school uniform, he too smiled over at his mother and at James with little Jorgie. Though he couldn't comprehend the profound emotions that they shared of the blessing of a new life, somehow he understood. The atmosphere changed with an infant around. People seemed to hold their breath more and they'd whisper. They were far tenderer.

He was only six years old but he understood very well that it was such a special occasion. And the smile on the older James' face showed him that more than anything. He was happy there was a new baby around and he showed his childlike side by interrupting the quiet moment.

"Can I hold her again?" he blurted out but in his usual shy toned, his legs continuing to kick against the bottom of the sofa and his white school socks riding up his ankles in the process.

Before the lavender haired male could even hear the little boy – he was too busy murmuring soft lullabies into his newborn daughter's perfect little ear – Misty playfully flopped on the sofa next to her son and tickled between his shoulder and neck.

"You should have been in bed ages ago, young man." She told him truthfully but airily while she continued to tickle him and he continued to giggle, smiling at him. I smiled back at them.

Yes, little James should have indeed been in bed a long time ago but it was such a special occasion. Most of the offspring of the group had been in school or on their journeys when Lynne went into labour and had little Jorgie. Some of the younger ones had been there, however, and most of the adults. It was an occasion that everybody wanted to be a part of and both sides of the couple were happy with that.

The chestnut haired young Ketchum had been one of the children that had been particularly interested in the child of James and Lynne. Most of them had smiled and said 'congratulations' but as soon as he returned from school and came to the Morgan Mansion, he peeked shyly at Lynne holding the bundle. It didn't take long for him to almost sit on her lap, though she was healing. It didn't take longer still for him to ask to hold Jorgie and for James to assist him with that. He was soft and sweet like his namesake so it wasn't surprising that he wanted to cuddle her lots. And it was even less surprising that he wanted to again.

"Please?" he persisted with asking his mother to hold the new-born and stuck his bottom lip out, holding onto me on his lap and making his green orbs wider. He knew to compromise. "Just one more cuddle then we can leave."

Misty couldn't deny that her youngest son was being very polite about it and I knew that she was easily going to agree to it. But before she could even agree, James suddenly finally was aware that he wasn't alone with the baby and came to hover over the little James. He smiled softly at him.

"Are you trying to steal my baby away from me?" he asked with a playful pout and continued holding his daughter but he pressed a kiss between her closed eyes before holding Jorgie out to him. Before Misty could agree or object, the chestnut haired little boy held his arms out and soon enough, James secured her in the little boy's arms.

The green orbed young Ketchum's eyes lit up even further when he was cuddling his new little friend again and copied the older male by kissing Jorgie's forehead also. He held her close to his chest and made little rocking motions with his arms.

I was on the back of the sofa to give young James and Jorgie more room and smiled over at Misty. She beamed back. I knew that it was absolutely melting her heart that her little boy was so sweet and loving of the tiny little girl. I knew that it also probably made her broody, despite her youngest still being a toddler.

James let out a loving sigh that showed all the contentment in the world. But you could tell his arms felt empty now that Jorgie wasn't in them so he occupied his hands by playfully shaking his best friend's ponytail about. He smiled at her.

"Don't they look kinda alike? Those two little ginger haired and green eyed babies." He smiled over at the scene, nodding his head encouragingly when the young boy looked at him for reassurance that he was handling his daughter okay. James moved to rest his chin on Misty's head happily. "Little pumpkin colouring."

Though Misty was enjoying the affection and attention from her best friend at last since the time his daughter popped out, she scowled at his comment and pushed him away lightly. She moved back closer to her son.

"Please don't compare my son to a vegetable." She breathed out and shook her head at him but I couldn't help but look at her like she should be glad he didn't say the word 'carrot' instead. The way she looked at me proved she agreed but she persisted before James could defend that he was calling little Jorgie a pumpkin. "Besides, James' is slightly darker thanks to my husband's raven locks."

The lavender haired male rolled his eyes when Misty teasingly pretended to go all googly eyed like he did for her mother but he soon shrugged, sitting down next to little James so he could stroke his daughter's hair.

"Well I for one sure am glad that she could 100% Lynne hair colouring. It's just gorgeous."

Before Misty could pretend to wink and blow James a kiss that he had technically complimented them both in one, little James let out shy giggles.

"Look at that. She's holding my hand again." He let out a quiet sigh of contentment as he held the little girl, his eyed widening slightly impressively at her tight grip for such a tiny creature. When both adults stopped their fooling around and smiled lovingly at him, he bit his lip sheepishly. "Does that mean she likes me?"

The look of pure and innocent hope on little James' face made my heart melt. I had known him since he was Jorgie's age and Jorgie's size and even before that if you think about how I would nuzzle Misty's bump when he was in her belly. We had slept together every night since the special night he was born. And in that moment he was holding another new-born creature. It was astounding.

After leaning forward to press another kiss to his daughter's forehead, James smiled at the littler James and ruffled his chestnut locks, nodding his head softly.

"She sure does like you, buddy." He told the young boy truthfully, his eyes filling with even more love when little Jorgie briefly squeaked and opened her eyes to look up at them all. She then shut them again and her grip tightened on the young boy's finger. "She likes you and she feels secure with you, that hand holding proves it."

Little James positively glowed at feeling the truth coming from his Uncle James and the reassuring nod from his mother made him shiver with happiness. When little Jorgie yawned in her sleep, James did too and after the new-born got handed to her father, Misty decided it was time to make a move.

I gave the orange haired female a look to show her that I'd follow them later on and watched James go back to pacing gently around the room with his baby girl in his arms. Misty came over to her best friend and stopped him circling the floor by giving him a brief but meaningful hug as her little boy put his shoes and jacket back on for home time. She looked at James with all the sincerity in the world.

"I really am so happy for you, James, truly." She mumbled with a smile and briefly poked his lips when he opened his mouth to say something. She insisted and she told him the truth. "I thought it would be having my best friend's kid also being my half-sister and it is. But it's also really really great. She fits in and that's so clear judging by how much James adores her."

The lavender haired male focused on the latter part of her words and nodded softly in agreement before laughing quietly when he saw the chestnut haired boy yawn sheepishly from the corner of the room. While holding his daughter to his chest, he leaned forward to kiss his best friend's forehead. He smiled at her.

"Drive safe." He mumbled simply and his head lingered near to hers before he finally moved away, going back to pace by the window with his little girl in his arms.

Misty rolled her eyes fondly but she soon just waved at him and after both she and her youngest son waved goodbye, she slipped out of his Morgan Mansion. It seemed to grow so quiet when they left, though they had never been noisy. And the lavender haired male so happily went back to doting on his new-born daughter.

He held her out in front of his face so he could see her little features clearly while supporting her wobbly head. He breathed out with love when her green orbs crept open and she met her father's ones of the same shade.

"I guess it's time to get you into bed and asleep for the night, little cherub, but the truth is I don't want to say goodnight to you." He murmured softly to her and his face broke into a beam when she let out another squeaky noise. "Maybe I'll let you sleep on my chest tonight and then we can be together when we dream."

I couldn't help but shake my head fondly upon hearing this and thought to myself as I watched him turn off all the lights in his main room and make his way to one of his bedrooms. Her sleeping on his chest for the first night of her life could easily end up with her sleeping on his chest for the rest of the nights of her life. But I smiled. Who could blame him? He had waited fourteen years to have another baby and she was finally in his arms. He was going to be the best daddy to her in the way that he knew suited them both.

I looked around the empty room before padding along the big halls to where I knew he headed. When I poked my head around the door of the bedroom that he shared with Lynne in his quarters, I was surprised to see him tucking Jorgie into her crib. Though she didn't cry, she made little noises like a kitten at her father putting her down. James chuckled softly to hide his guilt.

"I know, little one, I know." He murmured quietly to her again, his fingers brushing through her feathery ginger locks after he swaddled her in her blanket. "I don't want to be in a different bed to you either but I need to look after your mommy too. Surely you understand that?"

After James glanced over at Lynne who was healing and resting in their massive bed that they shared, he smiled softly and his eyes went back down to the little girl. She let out a few more noises disapprovingly at his words but soon wrinkled her little nose like she understood. James melted with love as he looked into her cot.

"That's my girl." He whispered lovingly and he leaned gently back, his hand going over his heart as he proceeded to watch her sleep. I moved to the foot of their bed to watch from there.

The little girl's eyes seemed to try and fight sleep but they soon shut and she was dreaming. You could tell she was dreaming because they switched. One arm managed to come out of being swaddled and laid behind her head as she slept, in a fist. James continued watching over her, biting his lip slightly and his eyes full of purity.

That was it. That's what he'd been waiting for for so long. He loved having children so much. He almost lived for it. And now that he had a little girl with the other woman that he loved so much, that was so very special. Lynne was his angel and Jorgie was his cherub. Not that he hadn't been complete before with his other children, but he was even more complete now he had Jorgie. He was too deeply enthralled by his infant that he didn't hear his wife come padding down the hall and poke her head round the door.

Strangely, I didn't see or hear it either.

After looking into the room and not being surprised that he was watching over Jorgie, Jessie properly entered and she came behind her husband, wrapping her arms around him from behind. Though he was in a trance from looking at the little magical thing in the crib, James didn't jump. He just stayed smiling down at the little girl but leaned back so his back was pressed against his wife's front.

I breathed out. You would think it was so awkward. He had just had a baby with another woman. But it wasn't awkward. It wasn't tense. It was exactly what it was. A joyous occasion with a new little bundle to love by all.

The lavender haired male didn't take his shining eyes off the half angel little baby once and after a few minutes of silence and Jessie holding her husband, she pulled away. She studied his face and spoke to him while breathing out gently.

"Look at you. There it is." She mumbled and I thought that no one would be able to stop James from staring at Jorgie but somehow she did. He looked at her with confused and innocent orbs and she explained. She reached out to stroke his cheek, smiling slightly. "The look of love that I've seen you give to all of our children. I'm so happy for you."

The green orbed male was obviously not expecting these words from his wife and he didn't have any words of the same sentiment to say back. So he just smiled gratefully at her, his eyes now full of love for her and Jorgie. The magenta haired female continued, playing with her fingers slightly.

"I know that I reacted kind of badly when you first told me that Lynne was having her…" she said matter of factly with a shrug before giving him a stronger smile when she knew it was water under the bridge. "But I'm glad she did. I'm glad you did. Seeing you this happy is good and it doesn't matter if it's our children or yours making it that way."

James smiled wanly at the memory of nine months prior but he shook his head to dismiss it, happily feeling her hand over his as his own hand rested on the edge of the crib. He looked sincerely at her back.

"How did we get this so right in the end, Jess? I don't know. I think it's very good that we started off as friends. And will always be friends. Partners. Because it allows us to be truly, deeply and completely happy for one and other."

When it was the magenta haired female's turn to have no words of sentiment to say back to her life partner, James continued while she too peeked into the crib. Her own eyes softened with love for the baby that was created in another loving relationship.

"I love her so much, you know, Jessie?" he mumbled and she looked back over him and, although he was addressing her directly, he was looking at Jorgie. He had tears of love in his eyes. "When I look at her, I feel complete. When I hold her, I know that I will never let anybody hurt her. When she holds onto my finger, I know that because of her, I am capable of unconditional love."

When James ran out of ways to describe the love for his daughter and he became choked up with more tears of adoration, Jessie laughed fondly at him and stroked his cheek again. She just shrugged truthfully.

"I know." She mumbled and didn't become deterred when her husband, despite holding onto her hand, went back to looking at Jorgie again. She breathed out and it was easier for her to speak from her heart when she wasn't swayed by his loving eye contact. "I know that's how you feel. It reminds me how you used to look at our new-born little children."

The ex-rocketeer male sniffed and wiped his eyes when the tears of adoration continued to flow but he couldn't help but furrow his brow at her words.

"I still look at them like that, Jess." James told her and when he saw her nod in agreement, they both knew there was no reason to get defensive. He held her hand while speaking to her and this time, looked right at her. "I still look at them like that. And my love for Jorgie is the exact same as my love for them and vice versa. She's just…"

"Smaller." The ex-rocketeer female finished for her life partner with another nod of the head before grinning, moving away again after giving him a squeeze from behind. "They're not so small like Jorgie anymore. But in some ways they are. So speaking of which, I better check they're all in bed because they will be cranky tomorrow."

James grinned back but before he could utter the words "just like you", Jessie cut off her husband by pressing her lips lingeringly to hers. She smiled playfully at him when she pulled away and smirked at him as she headed back out the door.

"Try to get some sleep tonight, you. I know you'll stay awake watching over her." She told her husband and he responded with a shrug after she headed out and waved her hand in the air.

"You can't stop me." He retorted lightly with a giggle and I watched him as his hands reached into the crib for his newborn daughter and he pulled her back close to his chest.

She had been sleeping and she woke gently at the change in surroundings but she clearly didn't mind. She made happy noises and allowed herself to be carried over to the massive bed while snuggling against her father's chest.

James as carefully as he could climbed under the covers and moved next to a sleeping Lynne and he positioned Jorgie so she could sleep on his chest. He hoped that the orange haired angel would be fast asleep – she deserved that rest time after giving birth – but she wasn't. She was just resting her eyes and her blue orbs opened upon feeling the closeness to the father of her new baby.

To not hurt her body, she carefully rolled onto her side and rested her head on the part of his chest that Jorgie wasn't sleeping on. She held onto her daughter's tiny hand as she looked up at him.

"Hello Jim Dear…" she murmured softly and didn't break her eyes from looking at his face, even as she brought Jorgie's hand to her mouth to kiss. She moved closer to them both as James smiled back at her.

"Hello Angel…" he leaned down to gently kiss her nose before doing the same to the ginger little girl when she seemed to scowl in her sleep. He poked the older female's nose after. "You should be asleep, my love."

Lynne laughed sheepishly at his soothing tone of voice and she rubbed her eyes but she shook her head, moving even closer to him. She didn't let go of the infants hand as she spoke back.

"Why would I want to do that? Why would I want to miss watching you dote on our little girl? It's precious."

James laughed sheepishly upon hearing her words and moved closer to her himself, completely content with having both his girls on his chest. He continued stroking her nose.

"You're going to have all the time in the world to see that. I plan on treasuring my little cherub for as long as we're both together."

I couldn't help but smile from the foot of the bed at James' sweet words but I saw Lynne's eyes growing sad for a moment. I understood. She didn't exactly have all the time in the world so see the lavender haired male with their new little girl. Who knows when she'd have to go back? Even more sadly, nobody knew the answer to whether Jorgie would stay on earth because she's half human or go up there too because she's half angel. Nobody had the answers. But for once, James didn't wish to dwell on the sadness. He focused on making his girl feel better with his words. While stroking Lynne's nose with one finger, his other hand held Jorgie's tiny fist. He looked at Lynne with sincere eyes, his hair falling over his forehead.

"I love her so much, Lynne." He repeated in telling these words that he'd told Jessie minutes before. The sincerity didn't leave his eyes. In fact, it grew even truer each time he said it and his eyes proved this. "I promise you now that I love her just as much as my other children. You never have to worry about that. I simply adore her. And I simply adore you for many reasons but one of them being the fact that you gave me this little creature. You gave me my cherub. And for that and so many other reasons, you will always be the other love of my life."

Lynne's cheeks were blushing gently at how romantic the lavender haired male was but, most importantly, her eyes were filling with tears and love at his words. How lucky was she? She never thought that she'd ever have another man's baby. And she never dreamed that she'd get to have one with a man that was just as sweet and devoted as the first. She definitely was very lucky. And she knew it.

"You are the love of my life, James." She told him truthfully, not bothering to blink away her tears as she reached up to trace his cheek with her hand. She stayed close to him and their daughter. "I'm not even alive but you make me feel so alive. The things you've done for me. The words you've said. The things I've heard you utter to our daughter. I know my lifetime is technically up but at the same time, because of you, it's not. I am the luckiest ghost alive. Not only do I get to love you but I get to watch you love our little girl too. You're going to mess her up in the best way possible. No man is going to be good enough in her eyes compared to her daddy. So thank you. For messing her up. For messing me up. You change our lives. And you call me an angel but I think sometimes that you're one. An angel without wings. Yes, that's you."

James didn't know what to say in return to the deep sentiment that came from the mother of his child so he just kissed her. They stayed kissing and they all stayed close to one and other until they fell asleep. Well, for a few hours at least.

I hopped down from the bed quietly and made my way home, my heart full of happiness.

James had been called all sorts of things. A no hope. A delinquent. A criminal. Lynne had been told all sorts of things. You have breast cancer. You might not make it. This could be the end. None of that mattered anymore and it certainly didn't matter when Jorgie came along.

James got called all kinds of new things by Lynne. Beautiful. Astounding. Angelic. Lynne got told all kinds of new things by James. You complete me. I'm in love with you. You're the best mother to our baby.

The past didn't matter when they had each other. It was only the future that mattered. And because they were in each other's future no matter where they were, they would fly. And because they had Jorgie connecting them for eternity, they would fly. And they would never land.

The End.

There you go! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed :3 This was a great one for me to write. I don't think I've ever written James showing his broody side with a newborn. If I have, then I haven't in a very long time. I don't think I've written James and Lynne together as a lovey dovey couple either. That was fun to bring here. I'm looking forward to writing about Jorgie more and writing about her older too. And introducing her younger brother and the second child that James and Lynne have - a boy called Johnny. So that's what's coming in 2018. I said it in the last chapter of The Diary of Baby Rey but thank you again for all the reviews and nice words on my stories in 2017. It was a good one as far as creating and FanFiction goes. So thanks again and I will be back next Wednesday with another chapter. See you then!
