Hello :P It is Wednesday and I am back with a new chapter. I wanted to upload something in between the last few Justin and Katie stories so I'm sharing this that I wrote last month. This chapter focuses more on the relationship of Jessie and James' son, Justin, and James' daughter with Lynne (Misty's mother's) called Jorgie. They've been focused on before but this definitely shows Justin's indifferent big brotherly side but softness at the end too. I hope you enjoy :3

Ages:

Justin: 21

Jorgie: 2 Years Old

Disclaimer: I own the stories and OCs mentioned!

As I drifted off to sleep all tucked up in bed and surrounded by loved ones, while I dreamt, my mind wandered to a family further away from me than my own but almost equally as special to me in my heart. And as I dreamed of them, I couldn't help but think what I was imagining was real. We were so very connected. And passing time and the ups and downs only strengthened this.

It was just past midnight and Sammy woke to a sound that he was rather used to hearing but even so, when the sound first drifted into his ears, it caused him great confusion. His eyes fluttered open from sleeping on his head and he pulled the covers away from his face. His vision was still blurry and up against the darkness of the night. The sounds floating into his ears were undeniable but they were still confusing.

With a quiet sigh, he gently sat up, running a hand through his messy dark brown locks. Following that, he rubbed his eyes with his thumb and index finger of the same hand, hoping to be able to see into the pitch black darkness a little better. But it was no good. After another sigh and a quiet groan, that confusing noise still carrying on somewhere in the house, he reached to turn the side lamp on.

Needless to say, the room lit up straight away, giving it a warm and soft glow. Sammy craned his neck and rolled over slightly, checking to see if the extra light woke up the sleeping person next to him. It didn't. He couldn't help but soften slightly, smiling absentmindedly to himself when he saw Justin sleeping on his front with his head under his pillow. No wonder he hadn't been disturbed by the distant noise!

And in that moment, that was when it got even louder. Sammy's head turned to the door before darting back over to Justin. It still wasn't waking him up. And it was in that moment also that he realised what it was. He exhaled quietly, wondering what to do. Running his hand through his hair a second time, he propped himself up properly on his elbow and turned over to face Justin entirely. It was that movement of the bed that made the deep purple haired male stir slightly.

With his own quiet groan, in his sleep or perhaps not in his sleep, neither Sammy nor I could tell, the younger male feebly pushed at the pillow, trying to get it off his head. It was then that the Alolan male decided to break his verbal silence. Running a gentle hand down his boyfriend's back and rubbing it gently, Sammy spoke to Justin. He had finally adjusted to the middle of the night.

"Justin? Justin, your little sister is crying pretty loudly." He began and as these words were spoken into the room, the deep purple haired male groaned a second time. His pushing at his pillow started to get a bit less feeble. Sammy could tell he was trying to get the pillow off his head and did it for him. He continued to Justin as the back of his head came into view. He asked. "Are you going to see what's wrong?"

The younger male suddenly sat up. Naturally, Sammy softened all the more at his middle-of-the-night face paired with his shorter locks sticking out in all directions. Absentmindedly he reached out to try and tame it for him while the both of them heard the continuous cries. Justin sighed and then suddenly flopped his head back down towards the mattress.

"Do I have to? I've already looked after her most of the day." the deep purple haired male mumbled, his voice muffled from being interrupted from sleep as well as his cheek pressing up against the mattress below. With his pillow no longer on his head to shield him from the dull orange glow of his bedroom, his palms pressed against his eyes. He continued mumbling. "She'll be quiet in a second."

The Alolan male couldn't help but glance over at the clock, his hand still on his boyfriend's back while he shut his eyes all over again from behind his hands. He listened to the crying noises and knew that they didn't seem like they were going to quieten down, let alone stop. But he understood Justin's words. He wasn't her parent. It wasn't his job to deal with that sort of thing. And he had been very generous and let her run around his studio while he recorded that day.

Sammy got ready to exhale and lay back down next to his deep purple haired boyfriend when he felt his body twitch. In that moment, he understood what that reaction meant from Justin. So the darker skinned of the males decided to sit up first, going back to his elbow propped up position.

"Shall I go and see if she's okay? I can if you want me to." Sammy offered but from his boyfriend's subtle jolt of his body and that tiny jolt alone, he knew that he already had another idea in mind. And when Justin peeled his hands away from his face and looked over at his older boyfriend, giving him a tired smile, he knew that he was right all the more. The deep purple haired male breathed out. He didn't shake his head but he didn't need to.

"No, I'll go. Or at least I'll see why no one else has gone to her yet." He responded though at first, apart from him showing his face for his boyfriend and the rest of the night to see, he didn't look as though he was going to live up to his words! He laid there for a few more moments after rolling onto his back. He seemed to almost cuddle into Sammy's side. However after the Alolan male smiled gently once again and leaned down to kiss the top of his head, for some reason that sprung Justin into action. "Alrighty, I'm going."

And with that, the eldest Morgan son did indeed get going. The adequate amount of pep in his step compared to him when he first woke up was confusing but then after a couple of seconds and looking back, it wasn't really. He was a curious man and it probably got him thinking why no one else had gone to see his orange haired little sister if she was seemingly so upset.

Being in the middle of the night and having just woken up, he was still a little groggy but he pushed past it nonetheless. Seeing his boyfriend in his bed and settling down to sleep to wait for him made him smile and he made sure to show this as he opened the door and turned back before he went. Needless to say, this got an even more contented reaction from the older male.

Letting out a tired yet curious sigh, Justin lingered for a few more moments before heading off. His arms wrapped around himself as he moved into the hallway, only clad in a white tight fitted long sleeve pyjama top and grey bottoms. He squinted, peering. And then he winced. The crying noises got louder and from his point of view much more irritating as he was no longer in his bedroom.

Even so, he carried on walking, knowing that because he couldn't have asked his boyfriend to do this task for him and his family, then he had to do it. Justin carried on walking. He sauntered down his family's mansion hallways, moving to the corner of one of them where it led to another one. And he was about to head up another section when something stopped him. It was evident that he and Sammy weren't the only ones up and it wasn't his little sister that he had run into. It was her mother.

Lynne was joined by a surprisingly wide eyed and wide awake baby in the crook of her arm and – perhaps even more surprisingly to some but not to me – Justin softened a little bit when he saw this sight. His eyes dropped down to his new baby brother before focusing on his step-mother. The orange haired woman had a tired and worn-out expression but first and foremost it was laced with concern.

"Oh, Justin, are you awake too?" she asked and as she instinctively rocked her new baby boy, Justin just wordlessly nodded his head, pushing his shorter locks in the opposite direction and over the side of the top of his head. Lynne breathed out. Her expression was filled with concern yet care too. "Did the crying wake you and Sammy up? I'm so sorry; your dad fell asleep surprisingly early. And this little one can't seem to get enough feeds at the moment."

Justin's shoulders just moved and his head tilted a fraction as at first, he just simply heard Lynne's words. Soon enough, he nodded his head understandingly but remained unusually quiet. That made sense to him. If he and his little sister's father was asleep then it made sense that he wasn't around to get the orange haired little girl settled for the night.

And as if to prove her words all the more, the lavender haired baby in Lynne's arms – Johnny Jinn – stopped looking over at his eldest brother in the low lit hallway of the Morgan Mansion and began to grizzle quietly. The orange haired woman automatically gave him her finger to suck on and to pacify the baby while she continued talking to Justin. She laughed quietly. Justin could see the tiredness on her face and hear it in her voice despite her chuckles.

"That will be him wanting another feed. And I really want to be seeing to Jorgie but she's meant to be staying in her own room like a big girl now her little brother has come along." Lynne began to explain and Justin resumed nodding his head, running his fingers through his hair. He listened while glancing down at his new baby brother's comically unhappy expression as he drooled on his mother's finger. Misty's mother continued, almost rambling. "Your dad usually sits with her until she falls asleep in her room. I don't think she'll understand why it's me tonight. And she won't like that her 'baba' is upset. Then she won't like if I stop giving her attention while I feed Johnny to stop him being upset!"

It was then that Justin broke his silence. He stopped being understanding and observing and took a step closer to his father's girlfriend. He simply reached his hand out to her and lightly touched her shoulder. He gave her a smile. He was doing better at hiding his tiredness than Lynne.

"Shall I make him a bottle and feed him to at least take one of your dilemmas away from you?" the deep purple haired male offered and without a moment of hesitation, Lynne softened. He had been an absolute gem to her in recent months and helped her out with almost everything. She most definitely could rely on him and could use his shoulder to lean on.

However being the understanding and intuitive woman that she was as well as caring, she didn't like to put too much responsibility on his sturdy but slim shoulders. She wanted him to be free too. She wanted him to be a child. Though he was very much a man then and there was no denying it!

Lynne smiled softly and gratefully at her boyfriend's eldest son and out of habit, reached out to stroke his cheek, upon where his dimple decorated when he smiled. Justin smiled back when he already took this as an acceptance of his offer but she soon shook her head. The gratitude in her eye didn't dull.

"No, Justin, but thank you. I really should be feeding him. Besides, I like having him close to me." She answered and as she spoke of her new little boy, she glanced down at him where he was looking up at her, giving her an expression that showed he was making do with drooling on her finger but he wasn't entirely happy about it! Justin couldn't help but chuckle quietly when he saw this himself. Lynne then looked over at Justin and added when his own eyes sparkled with another question in mind. She shook her head. "And don't worry about Jorgie either. Don't worry about a thing. I'll feed this one and then see to her if she's still grizzling. Go back to Sammy. And try not to worry too much about the noise that she's making."

And upon hearing this, all Justin could do was give off a wordless smile as he thought to himself that his little sister's crying didn't bother him one bit! It wasn't like he enjoyed her whimpering though. It was just that he was rather used to it, especially since the arrival of Johnny Jinn and Josie's passing.

Despite this, that expression soon faded away and a sparkle soon took over his orbs as he thought of the fact that if the sounds were upsetting anyone then it would be Sammy. And as if Lynne could very much read and understand this (well, she probably could) she nodded her head, her finger still in her baby son's mouth.

"Yes, you go back to Sammy. Goodnight to you two." The orange haired woman uttered and that time, she broke the distance between her and her boyfriend's eldest boy and planted a kiss to his forehead. He wordlessly smiled, absentmindedly reaching out to stroke his little brother's hand before Lynne left with him. Then, before she could go, he just had to ask.

"You sure?" he mumbled before Lynne could turn on her heel, taking just a simple step backwards and running a hand through his hair. Pulling Johnny Jinn closer to her chest, the orange haired woman nodded all over again and softened a little extra.

She went back to Justin to stroke his cheek a second time and that time, she pinched it lightly. She nodded her head. Her eyes were no longer as decorated with tiredness and worry and had a sparkle of refreshment in them as well.

"Completely sure. Goodnight, sweetheart." She told him and after touching his cheek and touching her blood son's cheek as she told him, she disappeared back into the room that she shared with his father with a quiet sigh. Some complications had befallen their family in recent months and sadness too but the kindness of people like Justin even in the middle of the night made it all seem a bit more possible.

So as Lynne headed back into one of her room's, Justin prepared to do the same. Like his step-mother, he turned on his heel and prepared to walk away. However as he got ready to turn back to his bedroom and fall into the loving arms of his boyfriend, he couldn't ignore his little sister's continuous wails as much as when he was with Sammy and talking to Lynne.

Justin stopped in his tracks, letting out a quiet sigh. He thought about what Lynne said. She said that she was going to feed Johnny Jinn and then tend to Jorgie when she was done. The deep purple haired male continued walking, still thinking to himself.

That seemed acceptable enough. That made it obvious that Lynne thought that her orange haired little girl would stop crying eventually. There was a sudden stop. But it was Justin stopping in his tracks. He looked at the wall as he pondered.

The orange haired woman was a vastly positive one so of course she hoped that Jorgie would end up quietening down and falling to sleep by the time she was done feeding her infant son. Justin exhaled. Lynne was positive. But she wasn't superwoman, though the deep purple haired male believed she might have been. How exhausting would it have been feeding a hungry child and then tending to another distressed one? The answer was very.

Justin shook his head to himself. He couldn't have that. So surprising the dead of the night and surprising himself most of all, the eldest Morgan son turned around on his heel and turned around from returning to his boyfriend. He turned around and walked up in the direction of Jorgie's bedroom. He was going to be the one to see if she was alright. And that in itself was a very kind-hearted act from him.

Heading up the hallway to her bedroom, needless to say, her wails got all the louder still. But in spite of this, the nearer that Justin got, the observation that he made that they were not as irritating as he initially believed. In fact, the closer that he heard them the more pitiful they sounded and he started to feel almost sorry for his toddler sister.

After tousling his hair into place, he put his knuckles on the door of her bedroom and let his finger pause there before eventually pushing it open. The cries continued wailing. Justin exhaled. But he didn't get cold feet. He didn't change his mind. He headed in, pushing the door open all the way. He left it open, allowing a little more light into the already toddler lamp lit room. And straight away, he saw his little sister standing in the corner of her cot and miserably sobbing.

"Oh, Jorgie. You are quite a dramatic little girl, aren't you?" Justin began and if one hadn't heard his tone then you could easily believe that his words were almost heartless. But he had a matter of fact albeit calmness going on with his voice. He exhaled through his nose and took strides closer towards her. She continued sobbing. He shook his head, crouching down to her level. "You're making a right racket, do you know that?"

Jorgie gulped and hiccupped. After wailing pitifully for a few more moments and holding her arms up to the person in her bedroom, when she saw that it was not her father come to soothe her, she gulped all over again and this stunned her into silence. Her fists hung by her sides, her cheeks and her nose dripping wet. She could see that Justin wasn't her lavender haired daddy. But she just had to make sure.

"Daddy…? Dada…?" she asked to make sure and twice, Justin shook his head. After the second time that he did this, he stood up once again, pushing his hair from his eyes and moving closer to Jorgie's crib. He hovered over her, peering in. He gave her a look that showed off his lips pressing together in a line but his dimple appeared even so.

"Nope, it's me." The deep purple haired male began but before Justin could add any more words or call her any more names gently; Jorgie resumed crying all over again. That time she flopped back down towards the mattress. One couldn't help but think that it was awfully similar to what Justin had done!

He evidently didn't see the similarities and let out a sigh, his wrists wresting on the top bar of her crib as he leaned over. He shook his head slightly. He didn't reach out to touch her right away.

"Oh Jorgie, you knew it wasn't me. Your eyes weren't deceiving you." The eldest Morgan son started and you could have taken this as a compliment if you were being very far searching. Jorgie usually took most things as affection from her eldest brother but that time, she didn't care. She just wanted her beloved daddy. She continued crying; almost flailing as she desperately rubbed her nose against her mattress below her. It was in that moment that Justin could get a proper look at her. "Jorgie… You've got yourself in such a state, haven't you? Let me."

And with that, Justin's hands finally reached into her cot and gingerly (but subtly caringly too) lifted her up under her armpits and placed her so she was sitting on her bottom. Jorgie squeaked and tried to look up at her brother though her orbs were drenched in tears. She tried to blink past them. Only more fell. Justin sighed. But he smiled slightly.

"See? Such a state." He told her and he lightly poked her in the middle of the chest but after that, he poked her nose before briefly leaving her side to get one of her special baby wipes from the changing area that was also in her bedroom. When he came back to her side, he handed it to her as if she could fix it herself! He missed a beat and cleared his throat, quickly moving on from his own blunder.

He showed a face that proved he really didn't want to be doing that nor did he ever expect in his life to do that! But even so, he cleaned her nose for her before wiping her tear stained cheeks with the sleeves of his white long sleeve pyjama shirt. He couldn't help but shake his head at her after he tossed the wipe in the bin.

"What are you going to do when I go back on tour, huh? You and Johnny are going to lose the world's most unequipped babysitter." Justin told her, carrying on his habit of talking to her as if she understood all of his adult conversation. Despite this, Jorgie proved that perhaps she did understand some of it. Her head tilted. She could finally see past her wide but dry eyes. She spoke.

"Baba?" she couldn't help but ask and straight away, Justin replied to her.

"Yes, you and Baba." He responded and when he saw his little sister continuing to blink before glancing around the room, he caught on. He shook his head. And after even running his fingers through her locks that were slightly damp with all of her previous emotions, he answered her. "No, no he's not here. He's having some milk and then going straight to sleep. That's what you should be doing."

Then it was Jorgie's turn to just miss one beat before talking all over.

"Milk?" she questioned and Justin absentmindedly nodded. And now that Jorgie's eyes had begun to dry, she had a bit of a hidden smirk. She had got him. "More milk."

The deep purple haired male tilted his head towards his little sister. He saw her no longer as red and crying tear stained face and couldn't help but feel relieved. Mostly because he wasn't hearing her siren wailing anymore. He was doing a good thing almost doing a job that his father did night after night. However, it was proven that Justin was not his father. He didn't give in to Jorgie just like that. He found it easy to shake his head and reply to her.

"No. No milk for you. It's bed time now." He insisted to her and although the orange haired toddler pouted, looking back on all of my thoughts I couldn't help but think she almost slightly respected his levelness and certainty. Surprisingly, she didn't protest any further. And of course, she didn't protest when he lifted her up so she was standing and gestured to one of the other states that she had gotten herself in before fixing it. "Look at you. You've undone your poppers and your leg is hanging out."

Little Jorgie glanced down, clearly forgetting all that she had done in her confusion and heart-broken state. She had tried to undress herself in her pyjama sleep suit. She had managed to undo some of the buttons but in the process of kicking and standing and peering over the crib, waiting for her father to appear, her leg had poked out of the front opening rather than being in the foot of her sleepwear.

After the orange haired female just looked up at her brother and grinned out of habit and he had given her a deadpan gaze back, he moved his hands further into her cot to sort it out for her. He hummed unconsciously to himself as he sorted his little sister out.

It was partially true what he said about being a babysitter to Jorgie and Johnny but not about the unequipped part. It was true that he was potentially the least naturally caring towards children member of his family clan but he wasn't entirely clueless. He just didn't believe in himself enough.

However after Josie passed on and Johnny Jinn was born, it stopped being about him believing in himself. It was just something that he had to get over and do. So when his father or Lynne needed extra help whether it was emotional support or watching over the little ones with his boyfriend, he was there.

And as Justin got Jorgie buttoned up properly and gave her an awkward but genuine pat on the head – I couldn't help but wonder – and maybe he wondered also – what was he going to do when he went back on tour? It was certainly going to be odd to go back to bands and shows after being a master of bottles and sippy cups for a good couple of months.

"Story?" the orange haired toddler piped up, breaking Justin away from his thoughts if he was having any. At least she waited until he was done tucking her leg back into the right hole of her sleep suit and had completed doing all of the buttons up and correctly. At first, the deep purple haired male blinked. But then he coolly shook his head.

"No story. You've had your story." He reminded her and in his head, he thought that she had had her story with milk earlier on. But he didn't say the "m" word out loud lest she pester him more. The orange haired little girl listened to his straight forward words and thought about them. And then she accepted them. She went quiet again. It was potential that she saw his flicker of a smirk because she had one back. She asked for something else.

"Song?"

That time, the formerly long haired male hesitated and Jorgie could very much read that. She smirked all the more; a far cry from her previous tears. But then again – like her other big brother, Jayden – she was the other sunshine and showers kid. All of that could change in a heartbeat!

The orange haired toddler looked over at her big brother with those hopeful green orbs of hers and her thumb went into her mouth. She started sucking on it, looking intently at Justin. And in return, Justin continued hesitating. However, after a few more moments passed, he just let out a sigh and sat down on the floor next to Jorgie's crib. And she knew this meant she had won! She took her hand out of her mouth and clapped and flopped down on her mattress. Justin couldn't help but point out while pointing a finger.

"Only a very short one though, okay?" he told her and though James and Lynne's child didn't nod her head, she stopped looking so gleeful and she put her thumb back in her mouth. That was her way of agreeing. That was her way of agreeing to Justin's stubbornness which not only did she absolutely share but secretly admired as well.

So with that, the eldest Morgan son began singing to her and he sang one of his new creations just for her. I found it funny that before doing so; he peered around the room and peered behind him at the door. He was making sure no one was there! It was either that he hadn't shared that song with anyone before or it was because he was still somewhat uneasy about his softer sides.

But no doubt, Jorgie lapped up his softer, gentler moments. They probably reminded her of her father and her Uncle Jordan as well. And even though she had tried to dull her expression down to prove to Justin she was compliant enough to hear his song, as he too got into quietly performing to her, she couldn't stop herself from lighting up all over. And she couldn't stop herself from getting up either!

Jorgie's feet twiddled before they lifted her up so she was standing on her legs in her crib. And then she began dancing, her little bottom wriggling and hands in the air! Justin quietly laughed though he tried to keep his expression level, reaching through the bars of the crib to hold her hand and encourage her back down. But of course, his own face lit up in a secret yet handsome and genuine way.

"No dancing, either! You're meant to be winding down." He told her with a sparkle in both of his eyes but when Jorgie's tongue poked out in the side of her mouth, Justin could feel his more easy-going expression and tried to make his big brotherly one take back over. He frowned, tugging on her hand a bit harder. His singing voice had completely faded away. "Yes, you really need to wind down, Jorgie. It's time for bed now."

And perhaps it had been such an unexpected joy for not only Justin to come and see if she was okay but soothe her and sing for her also – as it typically was – it was a long way down from high up. Automatically upon hearing his words and knowing their time together was coming to an end, Jorgie's face fell. Before she could wail like a siren all over, the deep purple haired male's hand went to her mouth.

"No, Jorgie. None of that, okay? It's bed time now." Justin told her firmly and in that adult tone that he usually spoke to her in. And this understandably made Jorgie's heart break all the more. She couldn't stand that the more fun and understanding and caring Justin was fading away for the authoritative one. So she didn't stand. After pushing his hand away from her mouth, she flopped down on the mattress. She started to wail but in a much more melancholy way than before. Justin groaned. "Please, no more of that. I thought I made you feel better."

Jorgie heard that. Jorgie most definitely heard that. And even though her mouth still remained in that upside down "u" shape as she snivelled to herself, her head tilted as well. Her head tilted towards Justin. She heard it. That flicker… That idea… That idea that… Their time together meant something to Justin as it did to her?

And as if to sense that his orange haired little sister was sensing his vulnerability and softness, the deep purple haired male tried to frown more and shake his head at her. But even so, his hand reached out to touch her forehead.

"No more of that, okay, Jorgie? You need to tuck down and go to sleep. And then I can head off and go to sleep myself." Justin began explain but as if she knew that there was going to be more to his words, the stubborn and headstrong self of Jorgie allowed herself to be patient. This worked out for the best because the deep purple haired male did indeed add more words. Quietly. "But I will stay until you're dreaming. I promise."

The orange haired toddler didn't smile. The orange haired toddler didn't beam. The orange haired toddler didn't smirk. She didn't even nod her head. As if to not only accept his quiet dependableness but admire it too, Jorgie remained silent and she laid down all by herself, resting her head on her pillow. Justin let out a bit of a sigh but after a couple of seconds, all over again, his hand went in through the bars of her crib and he gently patted her on her head.

This is what made Jorgie relax enough to close her eyes. And as his little sister shut her eyes and she prepared to embrace what he believed to be sleep, Justin thought to himself. And as he thought to himself, he glanced over at the door. Letting out another quiet sigh, he checked that the orange haired toddler girl's eyes were closed before he prepared to get up.

James and Lynne's little daughter felt this movement from the moment that James and Jessie's eldest son removed his hand from her head. She sat up like a shot and as he stood up to his full height, she looked right at him, her face reddening with hurt and her eyes filling with tears.

The deep purple haired male then had yet another sigh at this. A loud one.

"I was shutting the door so you could sleep, Jorgie. So go back to it now, please." He told her and true to his word, he did move away only in order to shut the door to behind him. However, for once Jorgie didn't one hundred percent believe him.

Like it was a long way down from the top, a little part of Jorgie didn't want to get her hopes up. She knew that Justin was not her father and in her tiny head, she knew that he would never be identical to him. But she couldn't help but hope – no, believe – that there was a genuine love for her underneath his indifferent exterior. She clung to this idea. And this made her cling to him.

The half-angel's eyes filled all the more with tears. Her mouth remained pressed into that upside down 'u' shape. Things stayed that way even as Justin made his way back to his little sister's side and even lifted her up into his arms to prepare to place her back down and even tuck her in.

But when he did this, out of tiredness and still confusion as to why it hadn't been her father come to "rescue" her, Jorgie burst into tears. She exhaustedly began flailing yet again, tears trickling down her face.

Justin started to share that exhaustion. Deep down, he had enjoyed taking care of her and maybe it being in the middle of the night helped a lot – maybe he found it easier to be more real then. He held Jorgie in front of him as she flailed, crying but unable to express with words why. The deep purple haired male looked back at her. His expression was asking why. But when that was no good, he knew that he had to ask why. With words. He questioned breathlessly.

"What do you want from me, Jorgie?" he asked her and before she had even hiccupped let alone looked at him, Justin reacted through intuition. Almost in the same way as when he was writing a song and writing music and performing, in real life and with his little sister, he took the path he knew was the one that was pulling on him. Jorgie didn't even need to pull on him. He came to the conclusion by himself.

As the orange haired female continued to cry in his arms, Justin's hand went around to rub her back and after doing that, he pulled her in close to him. And he pulled her in for a hug. He almost rocked his little sister as he held her and he most definitely hugged her. She held onto him. No, she clung onto him. But for once, he didn't get unsettled. In fact, he almost smiled as he embraced her to make her feel better.

"Such a state you always get yourself in…" he couldn't help but mumble in her ear as they embraced each other but Jorgie ignored this. Though she continued sniffing to herself, she shut her eyes. Her chin rested down on her big brother's shoulder. Justin hugged her closer. He uttered against her. "Not good for sleep time at all…"

Justin whispered this to his little sister. The orange haired female must've tensed again him and Justin must have felt this. No, he absolutely did. Despite pulling away from her to look at her when he felt this, he had words for her. And he had a quiet smile too.

"Don't worry. I'll stay." He told her and before either of them could figure out how or where or most importantly why, Justin went back to acting instinctively. Before he knew it, while holding the toddler against his slim frame, he had lifted one of his long legs up and over the bar of the crib.

Together, both of the Morgan's climbed into Jorgie's cot together and Justin lay down. He pulled his little sister close to him, even resting his head on her tiny pillow. He reached for her covers and made sure they were draped over her. He knew that he would have to make do with the tiny corner of the toddler blanket but for once, he was okay with that.

And needless to say, Jorgie was more than okay with that. She did her best to share her covers with her biggest brother but between his surprisingly soft and unguarded hold and the more early hours of the early morning, sleep was quick to engulf her and steal her away. And although she was already drifting off when Justin spoke to her, he couldn't help but warn her.

"If you make a single snore, Jorgie, I will get out of here and never come back." He told her against her feathery ginger locks as he held her and despite all of that, he smiled a fraction to himself. And following that, he shut his eyes and intended to go to sleep.

And it was that moment almost more than any other that proved that although he was every bit his parents child – he was driven and kind-hearted and passionate and inventive and likeable – he was every bit himself as well.

Though he was secretly wary and uncertain and a little bit afraid of certain things and being too unguarded, he knew when the right moment was to let all of that down. And it was when that he stopped being so fiercely protective of the gentler parts of him and became deeply protective over his little siblings instead – that was the moment that he truly shone.

And the moment that Sammy fell in love all over again was of course when he headed into Jorgie's room to see if the both of them were okay when Justin didn't return to him. For he had suspected not only the softness to his boyfriend but the lovely underlying bond of Justin and Jorgie as well.

It was going to be something that Justin carried along with him not only when he went back on tour but beyond as well. Perhaps that was the beginning of him letting his armour down to all kinds of affection, no matter who it was from. So in that case, we have to thank Jorgie. Because she was the beginning of the development of the Justin that we not only know but adore as well.

The End.

There you go! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed :3 The characters of both Justin and Jorgie are very clear in my mind so this was a fun one to write. I am aware that Justin must come across as pretty mean to Jorgie at times but I view him as just not really understanding children like is natural to people like his dad. He definitely has a protective side of his little sister - it just takes the right moment for that to come out. And it takes the right moment to let his guards down too. I don't imagine that this is the first time that Justin has held Jorgie but it's the moment that he's comforted her so closely. He will always like to tease her and be the one that cannot be wrapped around her little finger. But I think they secretly respect each other for that reason :P Thanks again and I will be back next Wednesday so see you then!
