Hello! It is Wednesday and I am back with a new chapter and the last of the Pikachu Tales ones during my PokeShipping Month 2019. This chapter was the last one that I wrote and the easiest too. I always thought that I knew the Morgan children most of all but writing this, I discovered that I can call upon the Ketchum's pretty easily (mostly) and that was really enjoyable. Like the title suggests, this one takes place during a sunset in Alola. It's set during the time of Misty's parents, Jordan and Lynne's wedding/honeymoon but the story explains that. I hope you all enjoy :3

Ages:

Ash: 31

Misty: 31

Ben: 11

Katie: 11

James: 5

Jessika: 4

Rey: 10 Months Old

Disclaimer: I own the story and the OCs mentioned!

My eyes couldn't help but be fixed on my two best friends as they watched the Alolan sun go down together but my gaze was in the most relaxed way possible. I smiled gladly to myself. The years seemed to go quicker as more and more passed and it seemed like just an inhalation ago that they were two ten year olds bickering, battling and berating one and other. Needless to say that kind of thing still went on for they had been like an old married couple since they were mildly young! But they'd had a glowing love since they were very young also. And that was yet another thing that grew ever more with time.

Ash and Misty's hands were lovingly entwined as both of their wrists rested on the flecks of sand below and though they were watching the sun dropping closer to the horizon and enjoying that kind of view, they still couldn't keep their eyes off one and other. At that point it had been over twenty years since they met. But their adorably flustered gazes still longed to find one and other.

The orange haired female let out a contented sigh as she moved closer to her husband, her fingers still interlocked with his as her head tilted to nuzzle into the side of his neck. Her aquamarine orbs flickered between the setting sun and her partner in life before finally settling on the face of the man she loved for good. Then her eyes fluttered shut but her appreciation for him seeped out of her closed eyelids. Misty spoke in a blissful voice.

"I just love the sea so much, Ashy." She commented and when she felt her raven haired husband simply nodding his head before pressing his cheek against the top of her head, she found herself blushing rather girlishly. She opened one eye, looking back at him once again. "Well… I think you know that by now. But I really, really do."

"Don't I know it." My raven haired best friend responded swiftly and I watched as he didn't mind her rather obvious statement at all and just lifted her hand in his so it was no longer placed in the sand. He pressed an innocent kiss to the top of her hand and then deeper ones towards her wrist. After Misty blushed all the more and her neck slant increased, Ash grinned and pulled her all the closer to him. "I've heard it a thousand times before but I'll hear it a thousand times more for you, Mist."

The orange haired female found herself narrowing her eyes playfully at just how sweet her husband was being but when she saw the earnest smile on his face and knew it was time for that rather than their youthful teasings, her eyes softened all over again. She sunk back against Ash's chest. And it was then after she did this that Ash had more words; honest ones to follow his unintentional flattery.

He had a bit of a sheepish grin on his face as he thought of them and he glanced over at me, including me just a little bit before he said them. Both of his hands moved to hold both of his wife's.

"I don't know. I've always liked the ocean. But I never liked it all that much until you." Ash began and Misty resisted that playful eye narrow taking over her face all over again and she reached up to stroke the 'z' that decorated his cheek instead. The raven haired male spoke against the touch of her fingers, his brown orbs beginning to twinkle with sincerity. "But that's what it's like, I suppose. The ocean is vast and amazing and wonderful. But it makes you happy. So that's why I like it the most."

And with that, Ash prepared to lean down to press clumsy yet innocent kisses to his wife's neck. However, it was that moment in time that Misty decided to let her guard up just a little bit. With a hand placed on his chest, the orange haired woman turned herself around from leaning against her husband and she faced him instead. She gave him a sceptical look. But from my position on the sand just a couple of metres away from them, I could see that she couldn't hide the contentment in her eyes.

"You're being suspiciously sweet to me, Ashy." Misty commented and while I couldn't help but nod my head in agreement but didn't intrude other than that, Ash's eyes automatically widened with innocence. The orange haired woman's hand remained planted on his chest. She smirked teasingly at him. "Are you sure you're not after something? And are you sure you haven't left a huge mess back at the hotel room for me to discover?"

"I'm just happy, Mist." The raven haired male told his wife with swift honestly, his slightly sand decorated gloveless hand moving to hold her wrist as it remained on his chest. His words were quick but they were soft. They were soft in sincere. While Misty was taken a little back but in the positive kind of way, Ash nodded and had the gentle smile for her that he had had since they were ten years old. "I'm just real happy. And I'm glad to share it all with you by my side."

And there and then there was nothing that the water Pokémon enthusiast could say that could match the graceful surprise which melted into utter gladness in her eyes. So with both hands then moving to press against her husband's chest, Misty just simply prepared to lean in closer to his face.

I couldn't help but smile all the more to myself when Ash reacted with a blush right away and he almost shared the same fumbling expression that he had when he was a teenager. His longest female friend would always have that effect on him!

But even so he of course didn't hesitate to lean in back and with one hand reaching to cup his wife's cheek and the other being used to tuck a spare strand of hair behind her ear; Ash shut his eyes as he waited for their lips to meet.

I looked back out to the sunset and to give them privacy but I still knew that their lips were going to be entwined very, very soon and I was glad about it. But I was stood corrected.

Out of the corner of my eye as the in love married couple prepared to share a moment of affection between the two of them, something came along that put their actions to a halt. Or rather, someone did.

Without a moment of hesitation either, the raven haired eleven year old boy flopped down on the sand next to his parents, his shoulder barging against his father's and causing Ash and Misty's noses bump together comically! I could see that his little dark chestnut haired sister in his hold as well and my throat hitched with concern at first but that soon melted away when she just giggled gleefully in his arms. Rey didn't seem bothered at all.

Ben didn't seem bothered that he'd interrupted his parents either. His nose scrunched up as he spoke of what kind of actions he brought to a halt. He spoke through a comically curled lip.

"Haven't we had enough of that kind of thing in the last few weeks? It's not your honeymoon, you know." He told Ash and Misty with an amusing amount of innocent disapproval, planting his legs down on the sand and plonking little Rey on his lap also. Evidently they were staying for good!

The raven haired man and the orange haired woman shared a look. In their minds they were thinking that their energetic son would soon be off in a flash so they could get back to their little moment together. But when they both saw him light-heartedly bouncing the baby on his lap, they knew that they had to postpone it. And they soon realised that they didn't mind.

Misty stopped pressing her hand's against her husband's chest for good and shuffled back around, resuming her prior position of leaning against him. She had a smile as she reached out to ruffle her eldest son's sand sprinkled unruly raven locks, not sharing the moment of Ash and I silently taking in the sights of other things.

"What brings you here, you little rascal?" the orange haired woman asked the eleven year old boy and it was as soon as she did this and as soon as he tried to dodge her affections towards him that Misty started to see what her husband and I had been seeing for a couple of moments. There were three more people then standing behind the raven haired boy. Misty blinked. "Oh. What brings you all here?"

From standing behind her twin brother, Katie didn't say anything but the way that she soon enough plonked herself down beside him and tugged their two younger siblings with her made it plain that she was sticking around as well. The orange haired eleven year old didn't hesitate to bury her feet in the sand. James and Jessika danced and hopped around her for a couple of minutes. Then the raven haired man addressed everyone in his family.

"Whatever the case, we are so happy to see you all. Isn't it a beautiful sunset?" Ash commented with contentment and with his hand finally moving away from his wife and reaching out to stroke a little beaming Rey on the cheek, he smiled at everyone. I shuffled a little closer to them all to join them as well. And needless to say I noticed the reactions of Ash and Misty's offspring!

All five of the Ketchum children could sense the genuineness of their father's words but they still didn't quite see things the way that he did. Sure, they loved Alola and they adored it when following their marriage, Jordan and Lynne threw a massive honeymoon holiday and invited everyone along to celebrate it with them. They adored the beach and the sea and the sky and the adventures. But they were all still kids. And other things occupied their interests even though one child wordlessly nodded in agreement – Katie.

I was walking closer on the sand next to Misty to take a seat by her legs at the same time that I saw her smirk slightly with fondness as she saw her husband's words go pretty much unreacted to! The orange haired woman reached out and stroked his cheek to which he was oblivious. Then pushing her smirk away from her face and pushing her bangs from her eyes, she addressed all five of their children. And she spoke to them with the same relaxation as her husband.

"We are so happy to see you all. But wouldn't you rather be getting up to other things? It is the last night of the holiday, after all." Misty reminded everybody airily and after she grinned over at James and Jessika both hopping and skipping together, they finally decided to dizzily flop on the sand in front of Katie. Those two enthusiastic children didn't say anything – they just had giggles to let out.

However, Ben had words to say and I wasn't surprised by them. With a deadpan expression, he pointed out once again what he had interrupted before.

"We should be wanting to get up to other things rather than seeing you two put your mouths on each other's mouths but here we are." He uttered with a straight face and my expression was the opposite of straight when Katie openly rolled her eyes at her twin brother! She couldn't believe that someone would make a little bit of affection seem so ghastly.

But she still didn't say anything. And because of the rest of their family were too busy beginning to glance at the scenes all around them, the raven haired eleven year old boy finally decided to let his words go for good and join them in observing.

Eddie and Jaxon were effortlessly being the loudest of the parties all around us and they had been given sparklers by the hosts of the beach resort and were drawing all sorts of shapes all around. That usually would have most definitely intrigued Ben but for once, he remained put.

Justin and Jayden were having a very surprising and clumsy competition of trying to climb one of the palm trees and despite his tall frame, the deep purple haired male was getting nowhere! That normally would have been the kind of fun that Katie would have sidled up to observe. But she also stayed put.

Gary and Dylan were splayed out by the fire and on the sand and trying to make a kind of aeroplane shaped print on the beach blow them. Meanwhile, Jayme and Melissa were sat quietly a few feet away from them and the older woman was putting Alolan flowers in her daughter's hair. Respectively, James and Jessika would have definitely usually wanted to join in their fun! But for once they stayed put and they stayed sitting overlooking the sunset with everyone.

From the way that little Rey giggled on her eldest brother's lap made it obvious and I knew it was true that she couldn't be gladder to have everybody surrounding her. It was coming up to the year that she had been born and things couldn't be more different than that time of year.

As she continued gurgling and clapping gleefully and kicking her legs as she sat on Ben's lap, all eyes went back to her. Everybody stopped looking at the scenes all around them and looked at the sunniest member of the group.

Everyone except for Katie, that was. She stayed looking out, her feet still planted beneath the sand and a quiet, observational expression on her face. However that time she wasn't looking at the two Morgan brothers and Jayden who had managed to scurry halfway up the tree. She was looking at something else. it had caught her eye the way that her Grandad Jordan and decided to bury himself sitting up in the sand but because he could not get himself out, he had both Lynne and James tugging on both of his hands to rescue him!

Normally that would have encouraged amusement within her! Her Grandad Jordan always made her laugh. And there was also a little bit of a twinkle in her eye. But soon enough that twinkle mellowed to thoughtfulness. I thought that I was the only one who caught it. I was about to pad towards her instead while little James was occupied with squishing Rey's cheeks when Misty broke the comfortable silence. She reached out to stroke her daughter down the bridge of her nose, uttering quietly to her.

"Your Uncle James has had lots of dances with Lynne since the wedding and after. But he'll always have time for you too. That won't change." The orange haired woman tried to mumble just for her to hear yet at the same time, went about it like she wasn't trying to keep anything from anyone else. For most of the part, these words floated over everybody's heads – especially the three little ones. Ben scrunched his nose up just a little bit then went back to inviting Jessika to sit on his lap also, purposely jiggling her with his knees to make her squirm.

These words appeared to float over Katie's head also for a second or so but soon enough, she came back to reality and she looked over at her mother. And then she looked away. She didn't furrow her brow and she tried to come across like she wasn't denying anything too heavily. After a couple of seconds, she finally spoke with a shrug. Her hand went out to me and she patted the top of my head nonchalantly.

"I… I wasn't t-thinking about that…" the orange haired eleven year old girl responded quietly and with her hand still on the top of my head, she pulled her legs further to her chest and rested her chin against her knees. Her expression wasn't that of concealing the truth nor was it of having all of her innermost thoughts and feelings for everybody to see.

Ash and Misty shared a bit of a parental look when Katie's eyes wandered back to the scene and she saw that her Grandad Jordan was successfully out of the sand and he was giving both Lynne and James a bone-crushing hug, almost pushing the both of them together. The raven haired man and the orange haired woman then shared another look but it wasn't of anything in particular.

Yet soon enough it occurred to my raven haired best friend that his wife had uttered reassuring words so he didn't hesitate from adding to them himself. He thought about what Misty said and then he reached out, wrapping his arm clumsily around his eleven year old daughter. She looked over him while he grinned at her earnestly.

"You can always spend more time with me while you're not on your Pokémon Journey, Katie. We can read together." Ash suggested and because she could very much sense the sentiment behind her father's words, the orange haired young girl definitely didn't want to reject him. Though deep in her heart, she felt as though reading was her and her Uncle's thing together!

Misty and I watched together as Katie's expression mellowed out into a wan, polite smile and she was about to go along with his words or perhaps suggest something else tactfully when Jessika then decided to have a child-like moment. And it was in that moment that I knew that I adored having young kids around. Their unfiltered words always made instances amusing!

All of a sudden, the raven haired four year old girl doubled over from on the eleven year old boy's lap and she laughed over at their father, pointing a finger at him. Before he could blink at her and wonder what was so funny, she explained with a snort.

"You can't read!" she called out as if she was saying the funniest thing in the world, her hand slapping against her brother's thigh at the hilarity of it all. Ben simply just guided her hand away before it collided with Rey's, making sure the younger of the girl's was okay with an uncertain eyebrow raise.

A second passed and no one knew how to react. And then simply seeing how much Jessika was amusing herself, Katie couldn't stop herself from smirking despite it all and then she giggled along with her. And then everybody laughed! Everybody laughed and laughed and laughed. And even though Ash was the butt of the joke, he laughed as well and then after he tried to recover from it, he reached out and tickled his second to youngest daughter on the belly. Needless to say, she shrieked all the more.

"I can so read! I read all the words on the back of food packages all the time!" Ash purposely stopped tickling his daughter and folded his arms over the chest, announcing to his children to make them laugh even harder. And they did exactly that – even Katie.

It was the most wonderful feeling in the world having all of my family laughing together and sitting in the same place and watching the sun go down. Though of course during those moments, the view was the last thing on everybody's mind! It was simply and utterly the company that couldn't be beat. And I knew that that time in my life was going to be one of the moments that simply never would be beat.

It took some time for everybody's giggles and snickers and belly-laughs to die down. I wondered if anybody else on the beach was looking our way but for once in my life, I wasn't bothered in the slightest. I just stayed enjoying the company of my family. And one by one, we all started reaching out to one and other.

Katie still had her hand on the top of my head for which I enjoyed very much and she begin to rest her hand lightly on her Dad's shoulder as his arm stretched past Ben to still make contact with her. The raven haired eleven year old boy still had both Jessika and Rey on his lap and one arm each as around the belly of both of those girls.

In return, Jessika's hand was still squeezing on the thigh of her eldest brother following her own amusement and as little James had decided to flop outright on the sand, the raven haired little girl was clutching his ankle!

Misty's hand was entwined with her husband's and the other was resting on the stomach of little James as he giggled and sprawled out on the sand. We were all so connected in that very moment. The sights of the beach were the last thing on our minds and only the closeness of each other mattered. Well, it was that way for quite a while!

Then it became obvious that one person was craning their neck to look back out at the beach behind them and that time it was Ben. That time, it was him who had been distracted by the trio of Jordan, Lynne and James. And when Jessie came to join them as well and the four of them were seemingly sharing great company together, the raven haired eleven year old boy didn't hesitate to say something.

I looked at Ash and Misty just in time and saw them anticipating their eldest son's words or potential question. Ben's arms went further around his sister's and he rested his chin on the top of Rey's head. He uttered in a straight voice.

"There's no fairy-tale in the world like their one." Ben mumbled and because it wasn't exactly a question or a statement that could be answered, Ash and Misty both shared a look all the more. They then shared a look with me as well. And then like how it was when you came from a big family, if your parents didn't give you the answers that you were looking for then your sibling definitely would.

Katie missed a beat as she sensed her parent's gaze towards one and other and then she craned her head to see where her twin brother was looking. But when she saw the frown lines beginning to take shape upon his face she knew that she had to put a stop to it. She had more of an idea of what was beginning to happen and she was evidently more comfortable with it also. She shuffled closer to Ben, telling him.

"I'll find you one." Katie told him without faltering and despite the fact that Ben like his father could be described as dense, he had it written all over his face when he looked back at Katie. Wordlessly he expressed to her that that wasn't his point. The orange haired girl didn't hesitate to look back at him. Although she shrugged, she knew that she had to point out what she could see. "L… Look how happy they are t…though. Especially Grandad Jordan. That… That's the most important thing."

And it was in that moment that Ash, Misty and I shared a look for a very different reason. No doubt would it be tricky to the Ketchum children all of the feelings that were still flying between that quartet and not just the usual couples. But when you heard words like that and words from Katie – we all began to understand that they would probably figure it out on their own.

And the orange haired girl was right. And even if that wasn't the point like Ben said – their Grandad and Misty's father Jordan being happy absolutely was.

So for that reason the orange haired woman squeezed her husband's hand all the more and she found herself resting her cheek on his shoulder while she shared the Alolan sunset with her family. She uttered in a quiet voice. But it expressed all of her gratitude in the world.

"Yes… Seeing him happy is the most important thing. And seeing my parents getting married is something that I never thought I would experience but something I am so glad to have been a part of." Misty expressed and her hand moved away from the chestnut haired little boy's stomach and held a hand over her heart. Ash nodded his head as he understood just how much it meant to her and we both shared a smile as we empathised with that feeling also. After wondering if her children were old enough to understand how much of a privilege it was, Misty asked them, turning to look at them all in the eyes. "What was your favourite part of that day? Or what has been your favourite part of this whole honeymoon?"

For some reason I found myself holding my breath when I heard these words and my mind couldn't help but dance to the possibilities of all of the answers that the Ketchum children were going to come up with. Of course Rey wasn't going to have much to say at all but I knew that she was glad for the positivity that everyone was feeling.

I had my own feeling that Ben was going to say something about the catering and the food but I was willing to be wrong! James and Jessika were only five and four years old respectively and following the raven haired little girl's giggles, I was adamant that it was going to be light-hearted (nonsense) coming from them both but I was looking forward to it nonetheless.

And as for Katie? Well, I couldn't actually be sure. Sometimes she was the Ketchum child that surprised me the most. She was quiet and softly spoken but she was capable of many, many things. Part of me wondered if it was going to be seeing Jayden in a suit on the wedding day and then running along the beaches with him the weeks following.

I would soon find out. Little James opened his mouth. He was going to be the first one to answer his mother's question. He sat up from sprawling out next to everyone, his newly tanned cheeks glowing with the excitement to hopefully please Misty with his answers.

"I… I loved seeing Nanny's wedding dress. And when she let me hide under it, it was like I was wearing it as well! It was amazing." The chestnut haired little boy told everyone but his wide meadow orbs searched just for Misty, his hands clasped together.

Naturally, both Ash and Misty smiled upon hearing their youngest son's words and the orange haired woman reached out to stroke him on the cheek. He glowed all the more so I decided to sidle next to him instead. Meanwhile my raven haired best friend glanced over at Jessika. He was encouraging her to say some words.

The raven haired little girl grew oddly quiet for a couple of moments after her child-like amusement before and it was as though she was thinking really hard. Ben tilted his head in silent curiosity and listened as he still held her on his lap. After all eyes went to her, she clasped her hands together like little James had done. Or perhaps he had been doing that because she often did it herself.

"My favourite! My favourite was in the hotel with the bath and the bubbles and the big white robes!" Jessika grew louder and enthusiastic after her moment of seriousness as she referred to the stay in the hotel before the wedding day and the little spa session she had shared with both Misty and Katie too.

Upon being reminded of this, despite the fact that the orange haired eleven year old girl was wincing a little bit at the telling shrieks of her second youngest sister, Katie nodded her head and smiled at her. She reached out to touch the top of her head to get her attention.

"Y-Yeah, that was a lot of fun. Es… Especially when y-you got bubbles up your nose and couldn't stop sneezing!" Katie added to her words and while Jessika just grinned and nodded, everyone else laughed at the memory/image. Misty laughed most of all and she remembered it clearly and like the eleven year old girl's hand went to the top of her sister's head, Katie then felt her mother's hand on hers. She felt her gaze on her. She knew it was time for her to answer. "Oh… W-Well dancing with Uncle James is always f-fun… And Jayden too… It was fun…funny when Justin had to do Uncle James' tie before he w….walked Lynne down the aisle. There's a lot of nice memories from that day a-and all the others."

I smiled as the orange haired girl concluded. I wasn't surprised when she painted perhaps the nicest image of them all. She really did remind me how much of a family affair it all was. Granted there were some dramas and bickerings and stomach twisting moments in between but what kind of family didn't have any of those? Certainly not ours. But despite that, everybody had come together to see Misty's angelic parents finally tie the knot after so many years. And it had been the most wonderful occasion.

"And what about you, buddy? The catering was pretty sweet, huh?" Ash encouraged Ben to have his say after he saw his eldest son playing with both of the cheeks of Rey on his lap and the raven haired man reached out to playfully bop his son on his own.

Automatically, Ben turned to grin at Ash and he reached one of his own fists out and copied the same action on his father. And then when the raven haired boy felt the fond gaze of his mother as she pushed her bangs from her eyes, he found himself shrugging and softening and giving a proper answer.

"I don't know. I think it's pretty nice being right here right now and with everyone." Ben uttered with a slight blush threatening to take over his cheeks at the seriousness of it all but then before Misty could hold another hand to her heart and share a look with me, he played off that moment by lifting Rey closer to his face and pretending to have her whispering in his ear. "What? Huh? Yeah. Oh yeah… Rey's favourite thing is watching the sun properly go down… If we could actually watch that moment!"

The supposedly dense raven haired male came out with those words and after Katie and Misty shared a look of shock and Ash and I did as well, we all soon enough burst into laughter. My raven haired best friend laughed heartily most of all. He reached out to ruffle his son's unruly locks which he shared with him and then he took Rey from him while she gurgled in the air. He held his baby girl tight. I stole Rey's spot on Ben's lap.

"Awww yes I agree with ya, our sunny girl. We might not get another moment like this, huh?" Ash went along with Ben's words and tickled the nearly one year old girl on the stomach, making her laugh all the more. He didn't quite throw her up and down like the raven haired boy had been doing for much of the honeymoon so he held her close to his chest. And then he encouraged everyone closer. We didn't hesitate to do so.

Misty moved closer to her husband's chest along with Rey and then she encouraged little James onto her lap. She held her little boy close, her arms around his stomach and her chin on the top of his head. She couldn't help but inhale. He had always reminded her so much of Jordan and now she had the both of them together in the same place. And it goes without saying that that feeling was indescribable.

I remained perched on Ben's lap and we shared a smile and touched our cheeks together to acknowledge each other and the family that we shared. Then the raven haired boy still shared his lap with his little sister. With one of his hands he clasped her shoulder from behind. And he surprised me with what he did with his other hand. He reached out and held Katie's hand.

She was a little bit surprised at first and I was as well. They were no doubt growing up and since their Pokémon Journey that they would be returning to, they were growing in leaps and bounds. But it put a lump in my throat to see that there and then it was evident that they would always be the twins that they were born to be.

Ben and Katie shared a sheepish but sibling-love filled look as they clasped hands and together all eight of us look out towards the sunset that was very much almost touching the line of the horizon. I took a moment to glance over at Misty and knew that she had seen her eldest two children holding hands and knew that it was causing her eyes to well. When I looked back at the scene in front of us all, it was the same for me as well. All the children were growing up. But they were growing together. And that was magical.

Though of course when I thought of these kind of words, I was reminded that not everyone was growing up too quickly! Ben interrupted the good few moments of silence and although he whispered it, he very much changed the mood for one person in particular. But I for one was endeared by the innocence of his eyes as he waited for the sun to plop below the horizon.

"Hey, do you think we'll see the green flash?" he asked with a touch of awe in his breath and though Katie didn't drop his hand, she might as well have! She rolled her eyes at him and used her other hand to push her hair from her eyes. She said with a loud sigh. She knew enough about the sea like her mother and hoped that her twin had picked up on at least some of it.

"D-Don't you know what one of them is? It's… It's definitely not happening right now. It means that someone has ret…returned to the land of the living and that can't be true because everyone that is meant to be here is here." Katie explained to her twin brother whose eyes widened all the more and then she squeezed his hand. It was obvious that she was almost glad to educate him. And she wouldn't disown him for his innocence just yet!

"And also…" Misty surprised us by beginning herself, her eyes still fixed on the scene head before looking at Katie whom she was addressing at first before looking at each and every one of her family members. I shouldn't have been surprised by her vaster ocean knowledge but the people I loved still kept me on my toes. The orange haired woman added with a breath of wisdom. "Some people believe, Katie, that if you see it then you are so blessed that you can begin to see the thoughts of others."

And upon hearing this, the eight of us that weren't Misty all shared glanced with each other. Katie's eyebrows rose and she looked at Ben who raised just one eyebrow back, his eyes still wide with innocence. James and Jessika grinned at each other at the sheer magic of it all. I glanced between Rey and Ash – one who hiccupped with intrigue and the other who looked back at me with the love for his wife.

Another person was feeling that same way – they were feeling the love as well. And it was Misty. She smiled at all of the members of her family after sharing that tale with them and then following that, she reached for her husband's hand all over again. After that she wordlessly encouraged and gestured everybody to all join hands. Some people rolled their eyes but they soon complied!

When Ash, Misty, Ben, Katie, James, Jessika, Rey and I were all holding hands together, the sunset begun to plop down towards the horizon all the more and there was a wonderful glow on all of our faces. But it was not from the orange sphere that was right in front of us nor was it the reflecting of the waves that were singing just for us. It was the love and the contentment and the company of one and other.

And Misty had just one more thing to say on that matter as the sun finally made its way on the other side and some of the Ketchum children were wondering if it was their eyes or they had seen the green flash. I was in the same boat. Misty shut her eyes, however, and she cuddled closer to her husband, feeling all of the people she loved the most all around us.

"Well I don't know about seeing the thoughts of others… But I know that the thought in my mind right now is that I simply don't want this moment to end. Because this is my favourite moment right here and right now. And I've never felt happier to share my time and most of the days of my life with you all."

I said before that with a big family you could experience a lot of different reactions. But in that moment all of us just shared the same one. We could all sense the lovingness in Misty's voice and the genuineness in her throat and it caused all of us to smile at her. One by one, we all looked over at her and we smiled at her. And we held hands with each other. All the members of our family held the hands of another member of our family. And I hoped that it was the happiest that we all felt.

Misty expressed the thought that was in her mind and I shared it with her as I sat with the Ketchum's but I had one more of my own as well.

It was funny how Ash and Misty's goodbye on their Pokémon Journey a long time ago happened on a sunset and then there we were - a family of the eight of us and sharing yet another one! And that time it wasn't goodbye. It was a greeting.

It was a greeting of what was to come. It was excitement of what was next. As a family we would continue to embark on so many adventures. I should have known that that didn't end when we stopped officially journeying around the world. In fact, our greatest journey of all was the home life that we shared with each other.

And I knew that in that moment I was lucky to share everything with them. The ups and the downs too. The frustrations and the jubilations as well. The sunrises and of course the sunsets. The sun would never set on our time together. It would simply go on and on. Just like all of our adventures together.

The End.

There you go! Thanks so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed :3 This was a little moment of sweetness and lightheartedness but definitely also brushes on some things I want to write about in the future. PokeShipping Month has been a fun one. It was certainly challenging like I said before but I'm glad I did it. I tried some new things. I will be back tomorrow anyway with a chapter of "To You Both" that follows one more theme from the PokeShipping week themes that took place on Tumblr. So I'll see you then!
