Meanwhile, back at the Burrow, Arthur and Molly had just received a letter from Muriel about the howler that Ron had sent to Ginny.
"That settles it, " said Molly decisively, "Ron is not going back to Hogwarts when the next semester starts."
"No, he's not, " agreed Arthur, "He can be home schooled by Muriel. He doesn't deserve to go back to Hogwarts."
"He would only spoil things for other people if he did go back to Hogwarts, " said Molly clearly, "But he still needs to be punished for what he did to Ginny today."
"You decide the punishment, Molly, " said Arthur firmly.
"First, " said Molly clearly, "We will take all of Ron's savings away from him. This money will be used to buy new Hogwarts robes and new textbooks for Ginny."
"That's perfect!" said Arthur approvingly, "Give Ron some comeuppance while giving Ginny a nice start to the school year."
"We'll do it today, " said Molly matter of factly, "I'd like to send them along to the Creevey household by the afternoon. We will put the new Hogwarts robes and textbooks in separate boxes and wrap the boxes in wrapping paper. We will then send them along to the Creevey by this afternoon and they can become extra birthday presents for Ginny as she has her afternoon birthday party. "
"Perfect!" said Arthur happily, "Ginny is sweet and deserves to get new robes and books. And I'm so glad Lily came up with that solution that allows Ginny to have her birthday party today. "
"Agreed there, " said Molly simply. "From now until September 1st, 1995, " said Molly fiercely, "Ron will not be allowed to have any candy, beer, or dessert. His eating will be restricted to only meals and small meals at that. And through this weekend, Ron will not be allowed to eat anything expect oatmeal. "
"I'm liking what I'm hearing so far, " said Arthur proudly, "Ron should not be welcome at the Burrow for Christmas or Easter but should be forced to spend those holidays at Muriel's as well."
"Absolutely, " said Molly clearly, "He's not leaving Muriel's place until NEXT September, and I have a piece of my mind to send him there."
So, Molly prepared her howler and yelled: RONALD WEASLEY! HOW DARE YOU HURT AND INSULT GINNY LIKE THAT! YOU ARE MORE WORTHLESS THAN A PIECE OF SHIT! ARTHUR AND I WILL BE TAKING YOUR SAVINGS AND SPENDING THE MONEY ON NEW SCHOOL ROBES AND BOOKS FOR GINNY TO MAKE UP TO HER THE HURT YOU CAUSED HER BY SENDING HER THAT MEAN HOWLER KNOWING PERFECTLY WELL HOW SENSITVE SHE HAS BEEN ABOUT THE BIRTHDAY ISSUE. I AM ASHAMED OF YOU! YOU WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO HOGWARTS WHEN THE SEMESTER BEGINS BECAUSE YOU DON'T DESREVE TO AND WOULD ONLY BE AN ASSHOLE TO RUIN IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE! IF YOU DID! YOU AREN'T WELCOMED HOME FOR CHRISTMAS OR EASTER AND YOU MAY NOT LEAVE MURIEL'S UNTIL SEPTEMBER 1ST OF A YEAR FROM NOW! MURIEL, FOR THIS TIME PERIOD, RON IS NOT ALLOWED ANY CANDY, BEER, OR DESSERRT! HE MAY EAT ONLY MEALS AND ONLY SMALL ONES AT THAT. THROUGH THIS SUNDAY HE MAY NOT EAT ANYTHING OTHER THAN OATMEAL! RON, IT IS PAST TIME FOR YOU TO REEP WHAT YOU HAVE SEWED! AND REMEMBER THAT GINNY IS WORTH NINE HUNDRED OCTILLION TO THE NINE HUNDRED OCTILLIONTH POWER OF YOU!
Fuming, Molly, sent the howler off to Ron.
"Good job, Molly, " said Arthur in a satisfied voice. "Ron won't know what's hit him when this howler arrives!"
