Hi, everybody, it's me Michael, here! My "true" fics are now out of their hiatus though I will have no definite update schedule. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO IS STILL READING, FAVORING, AND FOLLOWING THESE STORIES AFTER SUCH A LONG DELAY! MUCH LOVE FROM ARIZONA TO ALL OF YOU!

Later that morning, as Harry, Colin, Dennis, Hermione, Ginny, Hugh, and Tina were all enjoying a breakfast of pancakes, sausage patties, and Budweiser, a barn owl flew in, dropped a copy of that morning's Daily Prophet onto Hermione's lap and immediately left again.

The front page headline read:

BAGMAN, CROUCH, OUT AS HEAD OF DEPARTMENTS

The article itself read:

Madam Amelia Bones, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, took the unusual steps of removing Ludo Bagman from the position of Head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports and removing Barty Crouch from the position of Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation. This move came about after Madam Bones learned that both men had acted without consent, as all other heads of departments are legally required to clear their decisions with the Head of the Deparment of Magical Law Enforcement. The attempted action was so egregious that Madam Bones felt immediate action was necessary. Bagman and Crouch had worked together on a plan to bring the Triwizard Tournament to Hogwarts during the 1994-1995 academic year. The Triwizard Tournament is an ancient event that was discontinued hundreds of years ago due to a super high death rate. Bagman and Crouch had presented their plan to Dumbledore when he was Headmaster of Hogwarts and he instantly approved it. However, with Dumbledore no longer Headmaster of Hogwarts, Bagman and Crouch were forced to present their plan to the new Headmaster of Hogwarts, Remus Lupin, who instantly rejected the idea of bringing the Triwizard Tournament to Hogwarts. Angry and irrational, Bagman and Crouch informed Madam Bones of Lupin's decision. Madam Bones was not only angry that Bagman and Crouch had failed to follow the protocol of informing her of their decisions before finalizing them, but she was also FURIOUS over how exceedingly dangerous the tasks that Bagman and Crouch had planned for the tournament actually were. One task involved the champions facing nesting mother dragons. Bagman in particular seemed unconcerned about how dangerous the tasks really were and was excited to implement them. Madam Bones said that the search for new heads for the Departments of Magical Games and Sports and International Magical Cooperation was already underway and that the positions would be filled before the start of the new semester at Hogwarts on September 1st.

"How stupid can you be!" piped up Ginny, shaking her head in disbelief, "Did Bagman and Crouch not realize why the Triwizard Tournament was discontinued in the first place?"

"They know, they just didn't care, " said Harry bitterly, "There are just so many corrupt people in the Ministry. Good to see Madam Bones remove them though."

"Yes, " said Hermione fiercely, "Insubordinate people deserve to get what they have coming to them! The heads of all other departments are supposed to report to the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Bagman and Crouch disobeyed protocol! They deserve to lose their jobs!"

"It's good that Madam Bones is already looking for their replacements though, " said Colin brightly, "Wouldn't want to go too long without the positions filled!"

"True, but care should be put into a search to fill such positions, " piped up Dennis.

"Madam Bones is more than capable of pulling off a successful and detailed search very quickly, " said Harry confidently, "She'll have those positions filled in no time."
