On Thursday, August 18th, 1994, Harry woke up after having slept in Ginny's room for the first time and all seemed quiet.

This quiet didn't last long, however. Colin, Dennis, Fred, George, Hermione, Ginny, Susan, and Luna, all quickly entered the room.

"So?" Ginny asked Harry kindly, "How did find sleeping in my room and in my bed?"

"It was quite comfortable, "said Harry gratefully, "By, the way, Ginny, a full confession that I ate some chocolates out of your candy jar last night. "

"No problem, Harry, " said Ginny graciously, "Help yourself to more if you want them."

"So, " admitted Luna, "There's not much going on today. Tomorrow is the Quidditch World Cup Final, but we just have to kill off today. "

"So, " said Susan happily, "I've brought in a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, and I thought we could have some fun just guessing what flavors we might get."

"Sounds fun, " agreed everyone.

"Fred first, " said Susan, digging her hand into the box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans and pulling out a pink one she handed to Fred.

"Pink, hmm, maybe bubble gum?" guessed Fred, "Or pink slime?"

But when Fred popped the bean into his mouth he declared, "Cotton candy!"

"I never have cared for cotton candy flavoring in candy, " said Susan matter of factly, "It always seems a little "off" to me.

"Us too!" agreed Fred and George.

"George's gleam!" declared Susan, retrieving a brown bean form the box and giving it to George.

"Maybe beef jerky?" suggested George, "Or poop?"

George ate the bean and informed them, "It was cola flavored. Pretty decent."

"Cola flavoring actually works pretty well in the candy world, " said Harry cheerfully.

"I agree completely," said Susan, "Perhaps cola is an easier flavor to execute than cotton candy."

"Probably, " said Ginny simply.

"Colin's chance, " grinned Susan, ejecting a yellow bean from the box and presenting it to Colin.

"Maybe banana?" thought Colin, "Or urine."

Colin's bean proved to simply be.

"Lemon!" said Colin happily, "One of the contenders for GOAT candy flavor!"

Harry, Colin, Dennis, Fred, George, Hermione, Ginny, Susan, and Luna all burst into happy chants of "Lemon! lemon! lemon!"

"Dennis's discovery!" exclaimed Susan, removing a green bean from the box and passing it to Dennis.

"Maybe grass?" decided Dennis, "Or lime?"

Dennis actually ended up getting, "Watermelon! Decent, if a little muted for watermelon flavor!"

"That's a hit or miss flavor!" said Susan bluntly, "Some watermelon candies are delicious, and some watermelon candies taste worse than horse shit."

"You've eaten horse shit, Susan?" said Hermione disapprovingly.

"it's a humorous figure of speech, " Harry told Hermione, "Lighten up and have some fun."

"Harry's hurrah next, " beamed Susan, taking a blue bean out of the box and letting Harry have it.

"Hmm, " said Harry, "Difficult, very difficult. Ocean water? Blue Raspberry?"

"WHAT!" said Harry suddenly, "It was ORANGE!"

"The bean got you good!" Fred and George said teasingly as they shot smirks at Harry.

"That's part of the deal with Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, " smirked Susan, "Sometimes the colors are flavors are out of whack!"

"The manufactures love messing with their customers sometimes!" giggled Ginny.

"Hermione's helping," pressed on Susan as she yanked a white bean out of the box and handed it to Hermione.

"Milk?' thought Hermione, "Or maybe Vanilla? Ice?"

"Yuck!" squealed Hermione, "Glue!"

Harry, Colin, Dennis, Fred, George, Ginny, Susan, and Luna all burst into laughter. They couldn't help all having a laugh at Hermione's expense after she'd become the first person in the group to get a disgusting flavor.

Hermione shook her head, "Of course, I had to get to the gross flavor."

Harry, Colin, Dennis, Fred, George, Ginny, Susan, and Luna all grinned at her.

"Ginny's gift!' continued Susan as she lifted a red bean out of the box and thrust it into Ginny's possession.

"Red is such a versatile flavor in candy, " piped up Ginny, "Strawberry, cherry, punch, watermelon. "

When Ginny consumed her bean, she burst into a fit of laughter.

"What happened, Ginny?" asked Harry and Susan together in eager voices.

"It was boogey flavored!" grinned Ginny.

Harry, Colin, Dennis, Fred, George, Hermione, Susan, Luna and Ginny herself all burst into fits of giggles.

"I told you those were real!" smirked George.

"Now you know!" smirked Fred.

"I love Ginny's sense of humor here," said Harry brightly, "She got one of the most disgusting and undesirable flavors and she's being such a good sport about it, laughing right along with everyone else. Good for Ginny!"

"Thanks, Harry, " smiled Ginny.

"Eating Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans is supposed to be fun and funny, " said Susan cheerfully, "Ginny's ability and willingness to laugh at herself is one of her most endearing qualities as a person."

"Thanks, Susan, " smiled Ginny.

"Luna's luxury, " piped up Susan and she grabbed a purple bean and tossed it to Luna.

"Grape? " wondered Luna, "Cabbage?"

After giving it a shot, Luna let them all know, "it was gross. "

"How?" inquired Susan.

"It was just rotten/spoiled flavor," said Luna dreamily as she stared up at the ceiling.

This did sound gross, but it was too generic and not specific enough to elicit the reaction the glue and booger flavors had.

"Susan's sample!" said Susan eagerly, "Picking an orange one for herself.

"It won't be orange, " said Susan confidently, "That would be way too obvious. "Maybe it'll be apple or something if I'm lucky. Or dandelion if I'm unlucky."

Susan proved to be very unlucky.

"VOMIT!" shirked Susan when eaten the bean, "EWW!"

Harry, Colin, Dennis, Fred, George, Hermione, Ginny, Luna and Susan herself all burst into huge fits of laughter.

"This was Susan's idea, and she got the grossest flavor of all!" said Fred with an evil grin, "Take that, Susan!"

"Yeah, the bean totally got Susan," added George with an evil grin of his own.

"Susan got the vomit! Susan got the vomit!" sung Ginny in a teasing voice.

"She's taking it well though, " agreed Colin and Dennis.

"The ability to take things in stride is an underrated quality," said Luna quietly.

"Susan, you have a great sense of humor, " said Harry happily, "But how about we all have a piece of Ginny's chocolate now and get some good taste in our mouths?"

Harry, Colin, Dennis, Fred, George, Hermione, Ginny, Susan, and Luna each grabbed a piece of chocolate from Ginny's candy jar and ate it. it was nice to now get a yummy flavor in all of their mouths.

"Ginny, " promised Harry, "Before we start the fall semester at Hogwarts, I promise you that I will buy you two new full candy jars as I know I'm likely to deplete your supply while I'm here and you don't have a lot of money to replace it with."

"Thanks, Harry, " said Ginny gratefully.

Harry, Colin, Dennis, Fred, George, Hermione, Ginny, Susan, and Luna all smiled at each other. Tomorrow they were going to Quidditch World Cup Final, no doubt a major event.

Today, it had just been nice to have some silly fun.
