Mymy rushed to the clinic to meet Maya and Coco. There, Coco shows Maya to the nurse.

"Hello, nurse!", Coco said. "My sister Maya here told me she has food poisoning, and it looks to be pretty serious!"

"That looks rough.", The nurse said. "What did you eat that caused this, Maya?"

"I-uh...", Maya started replying, but still not really knowing what to say as her jumbled mess of inebriated thought did not want to cooperate. "...ate a... sandwich, that I... made, at home..."

"I see.", The nurse said. "Did the sandwich have any meat in it?"

"No, we're vegan.", Maya replied.

"What are your symptoms?"

"I, uh... feel... dizzy, and I, uh... have nausea, and uh... I have a headache, and uh... I'm coughing."

"She was also having hiccups during class.", Coco added.

"Hmmm... it sounds like a bacterial infection to me.", The nurse said. "So, what I recommend for you, Maya, is to take antibiotics, drink a lot of water, and to check for any expired fruits or vegetables in the kitchen."

"I see, thanks...", Maya replied.

"Alright, we can go now. Thanks a lot, nurse!", Coco said.

They all left and went back to class.

"Well, I guess our case is solved!", Coco whispered to Mymy. "She just had a bad sandwich. What a relief!"

Mymy was going to say something, but a thought popped up in her head. She knew that Maya was drinking, and began to wonder who, if anyone, was supplying Maya all this alcohol. Maybe there would be some benefit to investigating further...

"Yeah, indeed, thankfully it's nothing too serious!", Mymy deceptively whispered to Coco.

The day went by normally, and, when they arrived home, Coco immediately told her parents about Maya's alleged food poisoning and the nurse's recommendations. They had some antibiotics in the medicine cabinet, so they started giving Maya those. Fearing a potentially fatal combination, Maya would go into her room and force herself to vomit in her bucket before taking more alcohol. This... sucked, but at the very least Maya could worry less about her family finding out about the problem...

...right?
