It's been a week.
Mymy's been getting very impatient, as, even though she watched over Maya's every step, she still did not seem to be having shady deals with anymore. All she's witnessed thus far are the sounds of Maya making her drinks, coughing, gagging and vomiting. Although Mymy really wanted to quit doing this, she still pushed on, knowing that she would eventually find out who was supplying Maya her alcohol.
In this day, Maya has been absolutely miserable. She drank her last bit of whiskey and was very antsy and irritable. She had to buy alcohol from Vera.
The whole morning was absolutely torturous for Maya. Her mind only thought about drinking. The sounds of the teachers' lessons annoyed her. She was sweating bullets. Her heart raced. She frantically tapped her foot and fidgeted her fingers, and her teeth couldn't stop grinding.
And after what felt like days, the alarm rang. It's lunchtime. Maya got up the first millisecond she heard it, put her wallet in her pocket, and began to frantically search for Vera. She wasn't at her office. She wasn't in the hall. She wasn't at the cafeteria.
"Where the hell is she?", Maya thought.
But then, as she entered the school's parking lot, there she was: Vera was smoking a cigarette right next to her car. Maya sprinted towards her.
"H-h-h-hello!", Maya nervously said.
"Oh, hey, Maya.", Vera unenthusiastically replied.
"D-do you h-have something I can b-buy?"
"Let me guess: you ran out of booze?"
"Yeah!"
Vera then got her keys and opened up the trunk. It was full of bottles of wine, vodka, beer and whiskey. Maya looked in absolute shock.
"Got cash?", Vera asked.
"Yes, yes!", Maya excitedly replied.
"Well, each can of beer is €3, each wine is €10, vodka is €20, and whiskey is €25."
Maya analyzed all of the bottles and cans. She instantly ruled out the beers due to their low alcohol content. She ruled out the whiskey because it was too expensive. After analyzing a bit longer, she made her decision:
"I'll take two bottles of vodka and one of wine!"
She then took a €50 bill and handed it to Vera, who checked it thoroughly.
"Alright, this doesn't seem like counterfeit." She said. "So here you go."
She then put the bottles in plastic bags and then handed them to Maya, who shoved them inside her backpack.
"Thanks!", Said Maya.
"No problem, you can meet me again in this parking lot if you need anything", Vera replied.
While this was happening, Mymy, who had been following Maya from a distance this whole time, was observing the whole deal going on.
"So it's our history teacher that's been selling her the booze?", Mymy thought to herself. "Hm, I wonder how I could benefit from this..."
Before she could think further, however, Maya turned around, which forced Mymy to go back inside and pretend that nothing just happened. While eating her lunch, she kept thinking about her earlier question. She knew that it was deeply immoral to feed her own sister's addiction, but, at the same time, if she struck a really good deal with Vera, she could potentially become rich from doing this.
"Let's do this.", Mymy said to herself.
