After my talk with my brother, I went to get dressed so that the others wouldn't question where I had been all this time. I bought a cute strapless blue dress and wore my black leather jacket over it.
I head back to the Salvatore mansion in my dress, and heels comfortable enough to walk in. When I pull up, I see Matt at the front door, with a flower in a box.
"Matt, what are you doing here?" I asked curiously, and he turned around to face me.
"Oh, um I'm here to pick up your sister." Matt stated as I walked up to him.
"You're my sister's date?" I asked, surprised, and he nodded. "Hm. Okay."
The door was then opened by Elena, who was surprised to see both Matt and me.
"Elena!" Matt, surprised to see her, stated.
"Matt! Hey. Kalle, um where have you been?" Elena asks me interested.
"Dress shopping. Rebekah wanted me to come to her first dance." I explain and she nods.
"Well, Rebekah isn't here. She left already." Elena stated.
"She did?" Matt asks confused.
"Yes, she left with Stefan because she wanted to be far away from here. As I expect you want to be, as well?" Elena asks me and I look at her with suspicion.
"Yeah. Sure." I state with a smile. "Um, I'll just head there now and meet up with her."
Elena nodded, and I headed back to my car, leaving the Salvatore residence. Elena had been acting very strangely. I wouldn't have been surprised if it were Katherine, given her stance.
Anyway, it takes me about ten minutes to drive from the Salvatore residence to the Lockwood residence. When I arrive, there's just this huge party going on. This isn't a wake or a homecoming, and it's way too over-the-top. This party spells Niklaus.
I walk to the back to see a large crowd of people, and a band is playing. I scope out to see if I can find Rebekah, or my brother. I cannot see Rebekah, but Niklaus spots me.
"Sister! You made it, and just in time!" Niklaus stated, dragging my arm.
"Wait what are you doing?" I ask, as he drags me on stage right next to him, to stand in front of all these people. Wait, now that I think about it, who are all these people? I don't think these many people go to their school.
The band stopped playing, as Nik and I walked onto the stage.
"Good evening, everyone!" Niklaus's announces and everyone starts cheering. Niklaus then wraps his arm around me and continues with the rest of his speech. "I wanna thank everyone for being here with me to celebrate. It's been a long time coming...so thank you! Enjoy the festivities!"
Everyone starts cheering, and I look over at Nik, confused. Once he gets off the mic, I notice him slipping something into my pocket. When I look up at him to see what it was, he just started smiling at the crowd again, as we walked off the stage.
Stefan then comes up to us, with a glare on his face. I have been in and out of the loop when it came to this group and Niklaus. I haven't been that attentive lately, as I've been trying to lift my siblings daggers. But one thing I have not missed, is that Stefan's hatred for my brother has grown under this compulsion.
Stefan and Niklaus started talking as I walked by, and I was barely listening. They talked about how the party was supposed to be a funeral for Mikael. But Stefan's question caught my attention.
"So what now? Will you stop running?" Stefan asks as we all come to a stop.
"Now, I reunite my family." Niklaus states, making my face turn surprise.
"Wait, really?" I asked, shocked, and he nodded.
"I made you a promise, didn't I?" Niklaus states with a smile. I thought his promise was after he built a hybrid army. "And besides, Mikael is dead. There's no reason to run."
I nod with a quick smile and look away. Does he not know? I thought my hint was pretty obvious.
"It seems that the homecoming queen is still alive, which makes me think that Rebekah isn't here. Where is she?" Niklaus says this, making me realize the same thing. I haven't seen her.
"I have no idea." Stefan stated, unaware. "I thought she was coming with Matt."
"What? Elena said she came here with you." I asked him suspiciously, and he still seemed clueless.
"Oh be honest now, Stefan. Where is my sister?" Niklaus asks again.
"I said, I have no idea." Stefan stated confidently and I had a realization. Elena had been lying earlier. Where is Rebekah?
"Now would you like me to take you to your father?" Stefan questions.
"Now it wouldn't be a party without my guest of honor, would it? Bring him to me. And I want my sister to bring him here as well." Niklaus stated and I looked at him confused.
Stefan thinks for a moment, but agrees rather quickly in exchange for his freedom. I watched as Niklaus granted Stefan his freedom, if he brought Mikeal here dead with the white oak stake destroyed as well.
Stefan gave him a quick nod, then headed off, grabbing my arm. I made him let go.
"Don't touch me." I state harshly, and Stefan rolls his eyes.
"Stop being a baby about everything and let's just go." Stefan said as he walked, and I followed behind him. We walked a good distance from my brother before I asked Stefan anything.
"Now that we're away from my brother, mind telling me why Elena lied about my sister's whereabouts?" I question.
"Don't know, don't care. All I care about is breaking this stupid compulsion." Stefan states not even facing me.
"Bex was right. Humanity less you is so much more annoying." I state irritated. "Have they told you anything about their plan?"
"Nope, they don't trust me." Stefan stated unamusedly.
"So you're in the dark too, great." I state annoyed.
"They don't trust me because I am under your brother's compulsion. They don't trust you because you still want to save him." Stefan states the obvious.
"Of course I'm not letting Mikael kill Nik, he's my brother. Even if he made some terrible choices in the past, he is still family." I state, continuing to walk by Stefan.
"Oh, wow, so touching!" Stefan stated sarcastically, but I ignored it.
Now that I think about it, Rebekah wouldn't go through it either. She'd be close, but she'd never fully go through with it.
"Do you honestly believe killing my brother will solve your problems? You do realize that if you do kill him, you will have to deal with me." I explained and he still doesn't seem interested.
"You think your father is just going to kill Klaus and not finish off the rest of the family?" Stefan questions me and I stop to realize something.
"Yeah, maybe he will go and kill my family, but do you think he won't kill the vampire race as well? He's a vampire hunter, and there's a reason we ran for so long. You should be more afraid than you are." I state, and Stefan stops to turn around.
"He's our best shot, so I'll take my chances." Stefan stated unamusedly and started to walk again, and I walked beside him.
"He's my father, and I've been running from him for 1000 years. He won't just lie at rest after Nik is dead. No. He'll continue to kill until every last vampire is gone as well. So if you aren't going to trust me, trust me on that." I state in a stern voice and see Stefan give me a small look before he walks away.
"Why do you continue to pretend you want your brother dead?" Stefan asks, ignoring everything I just said.
I shrug my shoulders, not revealing my true intentions to Stefan. He looks at me irritated.
"Fine, don't tell me. Let's just get back to the house. I'm going to grab you now, so don't get all scared." Stefan stated in a fake concerned voice with a smug look on his face. I rolled my eyes at him as he grabbed me and vamp-sped to his house.
We walk in the house to see it empty. He then starts walking to the lounge area, and I follow. When we arrive, I see Damon and Mikael talking. I try to avoid Mikael.
"Change of plans, Klaus is back, and he wants your body delivered to his doorstep." Stefan explains.
"Well, he's in for a colossal rude awakening." Mikael states with a smirk, and I roll my eyes.
"Well, he's certainly not coming here. I hope your plan didn't depend on that." Stefan stated and then I felt him turn to face me.
"It didn't depend on that." Damon quickly replies.
"Before I forget, she is trying to save her brother, like I expected." Stefan calls me out, as I hoped.
"He's lying." I shrug off his statement, and I can see Mikael and Damon giving me a glare.
"I hoped the news of your mother's death would change your views of that boy, but you are still under his spell." Mikael states in a cruel manner, and I give him a glare, trying to calm myself down.
"I'm just here to help and find out where my sister is." I state, trying to ignore him. I can see Damon tense up and Mikael looks confused.
"You told me my daughter was at the dance." Mikeal faces Damon.
"I thought she was." Damon quickly replies, and I can tell he's lying.
"Well, she isn't. And no one is going to go through with any plans until I know where she is." I stand firm.
"I'm sorry Kalle. But I won't let anything stand in my way again." Mikael states, before rushing at me with a syringe. I try to push him away, but I feel my body becoming weak and fragile.
Everything around me starts to turn blurry, before I cannot control anything, and my body drops to the floor. As I lay, unable to move, I see Mikael lunge at Stefan as well, before my eyes fully close.
I started to slowly wake up from that serum, knowing in the back of my mind I predicted this.
I knew that they would not fully trust me. I knew they would have found a way to down me somehow, so I took a potion that made me immune to being knocked out for a long period of time. I figured he would snap my neck, but the potion still worked and I think I was only out for ten minutes.
If I attacked Mikael, with him knowing I was awake, he would have prepared. He believes Klaus will be in for a rude awakening, well he is not the only one.
As I slowly get up, I see Stefan on the floor next to me, who is also waking up, and Elena walks into the room.
"Oh, Kalle you're here as well. That's actually perfect." She stated to me, making me confused.
"Elena?" Stefan asked her, and I now realize why she's been acting so weird.
"No. Katherine." I state, and she nods her head. She hands Stefan a blood bag and tells him to drink it up.
"Yeah. I have about a minute before they realize I'm gone. Klaus ordered his hybrids to kill Damon if he dies." Katherine told Stefan. I figured he wouldn't care, but I turned to see him worried.
"Well, that's unfortunate." Stefan states as I get up from the floor.
"Stefan, I know you still care about your brother deep down, and you won't let him die." Katherine states, and Stefan looks up at her with the same face he's been carrying since his humanity turned off.
"Mikael can't get into the house..." I state, and Katherine looks at me confused.
"What?"
"He can't get in. He's not invited, but Mikael isn't the one killing him. It's Damon." I realize and Stefan's face changes as it looks like he's worried.
"I'll get you back to the house, Kalle. Stefan. I hope there is still some of your humanity left in there." Katherine states, before grabbing me and vamping it to the Lockwood residence.
"Okay. Well good luck." Katherine stated, turned away to go, but I stopped her.
"Wait! Why are you trying to help him? For 500 years, you've wanted my brother dead, but now you're willing to risk it - why?" I question, and she slowly turns around to face me.
"Because I care, alright." Katherine states in an annoyed tone.
"About Stefan or Damon?" I questioned and she thought for a moment.
"Both." Katherine states before she vamp speeds away.
Wow, Katherine Pierce has a heart.
I move on from this shocking fact, and walk to the house. When something falls out of my pocket, I pick it up and read it.
"I know he's alive. Don't come in the house."
What? Don't come in the house? This must of been what Nik slipped me earlier, but what the hell does that even mean? I walk to the front of the house, to see Mikael waiting at the door.
Like I figured. But who will stop Niklaus from...
Oh my god. His entire plan depends on Stefan coming and stopping Damon. He doesn't want me to stop Damon from killing him. He wants me to help him kill Mikael.
I then got a call from Niklaus. I immediately answered it and waited for him to say something, but he stayed silent.
I see Niklaus approaching the front door now; he's coming face to face with Mikael. He wants me to listen in.
I then watch as vampires dressed in all black vamp speed to the front as well. No, these are his hybrids. As he talks, I see him lock eye contact with me and he gives me a wink.
I just need to make Mikael weak. That's all I need to do for Nik to attack. I can do this. I have gotten stronger. I almost beat him before, so I can do it now.
I hear Niklaus threatening Mikael with his hybrids, and Mikael mocks Niklaus. He then states how, although the hybrids are sired to Nik, Niklaus can still compel them. They are all compelled to him.
I then watch a lady bring Mikael Katherine, and he grabs her. He's using Katherine as bait? Does he know it's Katherine and is just tricking Niklaus?
Niklaus believes Mikael is bluffing, so he continues to tell Mikael to kill her. While Mikael, calls Niklaus a coward for not coming to face him.
I look at Niklaus to see if he want me to strike yet, but he still nods his head no. When does he want me to strike?
Eventually, I saw Mikael stab Katherine in the back, making her fall down. Niklaus was surprised that he didn't see Damon coming from behind him.
"NIK!" I scream to catch his attention, but Damon already attacks. After I scream, Mikael turns around and sees me coming to attack.
"Motus!" I scream, as Mikael goes flying backward. I see Katherine get up, and throw grenades at the hybrids. After that, she vanishes.
My focus turns back to Mikael, as he is strong and fights it back and comes charging at me once again.
This time, he got a hold of me and pinned me down. "I didn't want things to go like this again, daughter." Mikael stated, while holding me down to the ground, but I boiled with enough anger to go against him.
"Trust me, it won't." I state pinned down, as I make my skin burn. He screams in pain as he touches it, and I use this as my chance to throw him off my body.
Once I get up from the ground, he tries to get up as well, but I start breaking his bones. I break his legs, his arms, his back. Every bone that makes it possible for him to move.
This is taking a lot of my magic, but it's worth it. I keep him pinned down, as he tries to fight off my magic. I can feel my hold on him slipping away, but I continue to fight.
"Nik!" I scream at my brother to help. I can't see him, but I hope he got out of that mess.
"AHHHH!" Mikael screams as he tries to get out of my magic. I give him the strongest migraine I could, trying to make it impossible for him to move.
I then watch as Nik charges at Mikael with the white oak stake, and stabs him in the heart. I stop using my magic, and take multiple breaths. I watch as his body goes up in flames and I look to Niklaus who is staring at me.
"It took you long enough." I state exhausted. He gives me a small smile, before he looks back at Mikael and his face turns serious again.
Nik then walks back into the house, and I look inside to see Stefan with Damon. Well, he actually came through. I take a seat on the steps of the house and just sit here for a while.
That took a lot out of me. I relax, and take comfort that this is finally over.
Mikael is dead, and I can finally reunite with my family.
